Walked in here this afternoon (a Wednesday) for a French tip mani/pedi with no prior appointment and was greeted by Vivian after standing at the counter for a minute or two. She told me I would be seen in 5-10 minutes which proved to be true. Vivian worked on both my hands and feet since there were only her and another staff, Mimi, working. With that said, I could only imagine how busy this place can be on the weekends, so I hope there would be more staff then. Anyway, like previous reviewers, this place does give a pretty good hands and feet massage, as well as a neck one too. Vivian's french tips are amazing. I have an uneven nail bed on one of my feet, and Vivian filed it to make it smoother free of charge. Now my toe nails look so much better! She even made my calluses a lot smoother as well. Pros: super clean and friendly staff, lots of colors to choose from Cons: $1 extra charge for credit card purchases, prices are on the higher side Although I paid $64 dollars for my French gel mani and regular French pedi ($1 more since I paid with credit card), I'm pretty happy with the results. I found a place to get my nails did in Pasadena! Me, my mom and sis went here on a scorching hot Saturday, around 3pm. The shop was very clean and welcoming. All of the polishes to choose from were very neatly organized by color. There were three women working and they were all busy. However, when one of them had the time, she prepared the spa foot soaks for all of us to relax in while we waited. I got THE BEST hand/arm-foot/leg massage from my nail technician. She was one of the older women there. I just want to go back for her massages. All of the employees were very sweet and friendly. The whole experience took a few hours time since there are only three employees here, but we all left with mani-peds and smiles on our faces. Total for the three of us was $100 + tip. I hope they find a few more employees to help with the high demand of their business. My girls and I had a great experience here one Saturday morning. They open early and we were the only ones there so that was key. I got the spa mani pedi with two ladies that were very nice and did a great job and the kiddies got a regular mani/pedi "polish change" for $8 each. The one who did my mani threw in a pretty substantial neck and shoulder massage which was a very pleasant surprise. So let me start off by saying I am extremely picky about the way my nails are done. I am notorious for micromanaging the mani-pedi process so closely I am known to make nail techs bust a sweat.....but with that said, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this place! Vivian was so attentive to every detail and my nails looked great. She is very friendly and actually listened to what I wanted! The prices are reasonable and the customer service is excellent. Let me first start by saying I had previously had one of the best pedicures of my life here, but had a bad experience with my manicure. I was in the area and came in for a Gel manicure. The service was terrible. The woman wasn't even painting to the edges, and when she did, went over the bottom of my cuticles. I had asked for a few to be fixed, but it really wasn't getting any better. Then she told me the price $42!!! I was completely shocked - but my fault for not asking first. I came in today to get my acrylic nails removed after breaking one at work. I decided to take them off instead of getting a fill but Vivian took such good care of me! She wrapped my broken nail so that my real nail would be preserved and none of it hurt at all. She was so quick and sweet. Really clean and new place on lake, two ladies were working and they were both very sweet. My friend and I got pedis, I liked mine, she didnt like hers that much. Beware of street parking! Pasadena parking is vicious, and we witnessed one of the patrons getting a ticket before our very eyes! The only problem I really had was that they seemed a little short staffed. a total of four women were there and one of the workers had to scramble to accommodate to three customers. There was kind of a wait.. But it really wouldnt have been if that bad if the other girl worked faster! She was sooo slow, she was only doing a pedi, but she had barely started putting on the color by the time the other lady had started on her third pedi. So if you get that one specific worker, you might be a little frustrated with how long she'll take, but you'll definitely feel the attention, but besides that, clean place, great location, beware for parking. read more

My favorite nail salon. The place just opened sometime in February or March 2011 so the whole place is brand new: new chairs, new nail polish, new friendly employees. The prices are decent and for the quality of work, prices are great! Vivian, the manager, is a talkative, fun lady. She makes sure your experience is enjoyable. She even went out of her way to bring in some cardboard boxes when I was moving out of my apartment. The other employees do not really talk too much, but they are meticulous and make sure your nails look perfect. They also do a good job on eyebrow waxing (and their waxing rooms are very clean!). Unfortunately, I moved away, but I will definitely be back as much as I can. P.S. They get really busy Saturdays when they are sometimes understaffed, so try to go weekdays. read more

I absolutely love this place! I've been to many nail salons and none of them have made me as happy as the people that work here! The nail polishes are all all OPI and Essie which is my go to polish wether I'm getting it done professionally or doing it myself at home! The owner, I forget her name, is incredibly nice! So is everyone else. I come here for pedicures and though they are a bit on the pricey side ($18) it is worth the money. They open their tools from the sterile packets which for me is a major plus in my book! The chairs are extremely comfortable and the leg massage they give you is long and soothing. It's my favorite part of the pedicure. If your parking meter is running out of time they will gladly go and put coins in it. The city of Pasadena loves to give parking tickets! I've also gotten acrylics here once and absolutely loved them too. I think it was $24 but I'm not sure. The whole shop looks and is clean. Beautifully decorated, clean, relaxing and quiet nail salon with a professional staff. Although I tend to do my own nails often, I periodically come to this nail salon for manicures and pedicures. It's a bit on the pricey side but well worth it if you want a pampering, spa like experience. This nail salon has metered street parking and there always seems to be available spots in front. On every ocassion walking through the front door I've been greeted by Vivian. Vivian is wonderful!! She's warm, soft spoken, professional, classy and beautiful. She assists by making sure your experience is the best you'll receive. They have a huge assortment of OPI nail colors. After selecting my colors, I've been lead to the captain size massage spa chair where my manicure and pedicure has been given. I've never asked for a particular technician and have found that I trust everyone there. They all do an excellent job!! They do have nail stations which I believe is solely used for when you're getting all non-pedicure services. I started coming here a few months ago. The first time I had no customer service issues and thought I found my new nail spot- nope! I always make an appointment- which there was no point in doing, because every time I'd go sit and wait for 20-30 minutes past my appointment for anyone to even help me. Not to mention, when I'd go in it was on my hour lunches, even when I told Vivian that I was on a lunch break she would still do this to me. I get it, sometimes nail salons run behind, no biggie. Until I realized that she was double up appointments and jumping back and forth between customers. As of late, Vivian, for whatever reason has been very rude to me, rolling her eyes, slamming things around while she worked, huffing and puffing, the works. On Wednesday I got my nails done here, I was very displeased with the end result (the coats were uneven and part of some of my nails weren't even painted) but I was in a hurry so I let it go. The next day while I was washing my hair one of my acrylics just popped off. I called and explained to Vivian what had happened, to which she said she would fix for FREE the next time I was at work. So today I go in at noon to get it fixed and she yells "I don't have time for you!" I ask if I can come back around three, she gets up, goes over to her appointment book, slams a pen down and says "fine." And walks away? So I leave and come back at 3, she fixes the nail, rolling her eyes and slamming things down as she goes. She has the nail done and shaped, all ready to paint and she GETS UP AND STARTS DOING SOMEONE ELSES NAILS! I sat there for 25 minutes, waiting on someone to paint this one nail. She finally paints the nail, and says "$4". Okay Vivian, you can have that $4 but you can count on me NEVER coming back. Horrible service, and definitely not timely at all. read more

Many pluses: extremely clean friendly staff long massages (I even got a back massage) the employees don't commence amongst each other relaxing and they truly care about you. It's on lake so you need to park on the street. My meter ran out and they re filled it for me with their own money!!! I couldn't believe how nice they are. They are in the business of customer service and it shows. Customers like coming here and I can tell by the way they were greeting when it was a repeat customer. This used to be my fav place up to a month ago. And I waited to write my review because I didnt want my hurt feelings to get on the way to write the review. I was a "regular customer" since Vivian opened the place about 7 years ago. I read some reviews before about her mistreating people, but I never witnessed such things, so couldnt tell if customers were exaggerating or if the claims were accurate.... Well, I'll tell you as it happened and it will be up to you if you want to be in my shoes sometime from now. 4 weeks ago. I stopped bt after work, a week day about 3:50 pm, with out an appointment, and asked Vivian if she had time to do a nail fill and pedicure for me. She told me straight - Sorry Silvia, I'm sooo busy now, come back by 5:15-5:30, ok?- ... I agreed and did come back accordingly. I picked the nail polish color and sat down to wait. She refused service to 2 or 3 other ladies walking in, she was firm and even a bit rude with them. It was about 6 when she finally said get into the spa chair another lady started with my pedicure as Vivian finished with 4 customers that were there when I arrived. Which is understandable and totally fine. When she came to work on my nails is when the situation started... She started to pull and push to hard on my fingers as she took the nail polish off....following by speaking in her first language and bossy signals with the lady doing my pedicure. She limited to move her face on afirmative motion to what Vivian said. Then Vivian's cell rang, she picked up and a moment later she screamed "dont you call me any more" and threw the cell phone across the room. The pedicurist was visibly scared of her reaction. I was puzzled. Vivian proceeded to tell me "THIS IS THE LAST TIME I TAKE YOU WITH OUT AN APPOINTMENT.... I HAVE TO GO AND YOU ARE KEEPING ME. YOU MUST MAKE APPOINTMENTS, EVERYONE HAS TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT" --- but wait a moment... She told me to come back when she could hace said not today; as she did many times before. I appreciate honesty. --- I felt like getting up and leaving, but I calmed myself and decided to stay and have my nails and pedicure, after all it is not for free! I was paying for the service. Vivian continued to be rude and scream to the poor lady who started to clean up while she finished my nails. I'm a paying patron who has been coming to receive a service for 7 years, and have the right to be treated in a corteous way by some one providing a service; the person is doing a job who deserves been paid for it, but has to respect the employees and the customer. Believe me, this place is not inexpensive. And I never ask in advance how much it would be. I pay - and give a tip-. So I proceeded to pay and before leaving didn't say 'see you next time' This time I said. -- GOOD BYE !! -- BEWARE... You may be next.... read more

These ladies are the best! Very fair prices and good work. My mother and I had gone there exclusively when we lived in Pasadena, and they always remembered us and started to get to know us. Eventually, we had to keep THEM in the loop! They always remembered us and our notorious colors. Tina is the best and the owner is talented and efficient. Clean place, new tools for every client, great updated interior, comfy luxurious chairs. Parking can be tricky, but they'll feed your meter. There's also kind of a hidden lot down the road next to the spa and dry cleaner on the corner of Lake, I always parked there with no issue. They are a gem in Pasadena. read more

I really like this nail salon, I usually drive to San Gabriel to get my nails done but I felt like trying out a place closer to my house. Tina did a great job on my pedicure and also spoke perfect English which I think is a plus. I got my pedi a month ago and the nail polish still looks great right now, they definitely use good quality base and top coats compared to some nail salons who use cheap generic ones. This salon is also the cleanest I've been to, they have a pretty good selection of OPI polishes and their prices are very reasonable. I love their massage chairs, they are so comfortable, I felt really relaxed after getting my nails done. I came here on a Saturday morning and it wasn't crowded like a lot of people have mentioned, so I think that would be the best time to come if you want to avoid a wait. read more

I gave this place a try because it was so close to me. It was during the recent holidays and they had really awful Christmas music playing. I was one of the first customers to walk in. One of the girls working there wanted to chit chat with whoever and Vivian just snapped at her and told her to keep quiet which made me even more aware of the Christmas songs while waiting to get my nails done. The girl who started me off scratched up my finger up. She was working so fast, it started bleeding. To make matter worse I asked Vivian for a specific design and she insisted she could do it, but instead she did such a poor job i asked her to just redo them in a solid color. When I asked her to be more gentle, she complained to her coworkers that I am being picky. Ok lady, let me hold something sharp and dig through your toes and see if you're going to cry. She talked smack about customers in Vietnamese to her coworkers, especially the amount of tip she got from previous customers. I'm disappointed with the service here. Ok first of all let me tell you that if I do not get a somewhat acceptable massage after I get my nails done I don't go back. There are way too many salons around the area to settle. I came here on a week day after 5:00 pm without an appointment. I got a manicure and a pedicure. The work was not exceptional but it definitely was well done. The best part is that at the end they gave me the LONGEST massage ever on my feet and hands and even added my neck and shoulders as a bonus. Why did I ever stop coming here??? I love this nail salon. Everyone is amazing and attentive. I stopped coming here because they are busy, and decided to try the nail salon across the street which sucks BTW. I finally came in at a "slow" time of the day for them. The wait wasn't too long. The massage you get around your neck and shoulders WOW! You actually get a good arm and leg massage also. Unlike the place across the street they just lather some oil and that's it. The price is less than across the street too and they don't overcharge. The nail salon across the street, those women demand a tip, not here. Very clean place, everything seem new. I love that all the nail polish is color coordinated, makes it easier to find your choice of color. Staff is friendly and keep chitchat to a minimum amongst themselves, unlike other places I've been to. I had an awesome experience at this nail salon. I recently moved here from Iowa where pedis run around $32-$40. I was super surprised to find out my pedi, which looked awesome, cost only $17.50. We were there on a Sunday and I had made appointments for 6 mani/pedi/full set at 12pm. There were only 3 women to work on our nails 2 for pedicures and 1 for mani/full set. The salon is very clean and relaxing but 3 working on 6 women plus 2 that were already there just doesn't work. My daughter and sister's feet were turning into prunes for waiting on them to start.
