I came in because of a slow leak in 1 tire. It took 5 minutes for them to tell me I need all new tires and handed me a price sheet. I said no and I've been waiting for almost 2 hours now. Interesting that they had time to upsell an entire set of tires, but they don't have time to do what I came for. My tire was eventually fixed. On my way home I checked the tire pressure and it was 49! This is what they do all day every day. I don't see how this could be an accident. read more

I needed a winter tire replacement put on after hitting a pothole. I called and they did not have one in stock (Blizzak WS90.) However, Shawn the service representative, ordered one with rapid speed and had one in no time. My wife and I dropped off her car and went shopping for a bit. By the time we came back to the store, it was ready. I'd like to thank Shawn for his exemplary service and kindness. Spencer, the tire technician, did a great job with the tire change and assuring the car was not dirtied. I feel I got great value for the amount of money spent. I purchased Tired in January of 2025 I have been having a problem with my front tire on the passenger side of the front of my vehicle, I went after work to 2 different locations the location in Royal Oak 200 Stephenson HWy is where I purchased them. I stressed to the technician the issue and that I purchased the tires from this location and he confirmed to tell me they cannot look at my tire. It was 5:15 when I arrived, people/ technicians were sitting but not working on cars but claim they are backed up with no help. Unfortunately, had a terrible experience at this location. I have done business here since 2018 but will not be returning. I dropped off my car for simple tire rotation and they called to tell me that the lug nuts were old, rusted and going to be problematic to remove but they would be happy to sell me a new set for over $200. The best part of this is that the lug nuts were off less than 7 days prior for a brake job and they are in perfect condition. I told them to drop the car off the lift and I will take it elsewhere. I took it to their competitor who had ZERO issue with the lug nuts and charged me $20 for a rotation. I will not fall prey to their scare tactics and overcharging. I did some front end work on my car before we got new tires and they did an alignment for us when they did the new tires as well so everything would be working correctly. When I brought it home, I noticed there was an issue with something on the vehicle so I called back in and after, speaking with them for a little bit. Got a new set of tires and explicitly stated, "if I need new rims too, tell me now so I can take care of it". Didnt recommend rims. A tire started a slow leak within hours. Took it back when I could, and they said "we didnt see anything but we put in a new air valve anyway. No charge." Same tire continued leaking. Brought it back for another inspection and to get an oil change before a trip across the state, and was told "we can get to it by end of day." They didnt. The front desk guy gave some weird story about trying to bribe mechanics with cash out of his own pocket to look at my car, which they didnt take. Also didnt do an oil change. I brought it back again, and they inspected the tires and found no leaks. Same day, slow leak brought it back down to about 12 psi. Been pumping it up with a bike tire almost every time I use it. Either a tire is bad, a rim needed to be replaced, or nobody is actually looking at the tire. FML. Taking it back in one more time, mainly to corner them into giving me some kind of refund for my time and for the crap service. Do not use this place. read more

Not sure why this Belle has such low reviews. My car has been occasionally making a weird noise so I wanted to bring it in to get it looked at. I tried the Troy location yesterday (Rochester Rd.) but they were already too busy for the rest of the day; I called them this morning and they said it was a 3-hour wait. I called this location and they said it might be a few hours... It ended up only being like 30-40 minutes which was great. They unfortunately weren't able to hear the noise / get it to act up like it had been doing, so I'm going to have to keep an eye on it. 4 stars instead of 5 because of what another reviewer mentioned - although all of the staff was wearing masks, many wore them under their noses. Also one customer decided to take his mask off completely while sitting in the waiting room and they didn't say anything to him about it. Zero stars. I went in today a little after 8 am to get my tires rotated. Last week when I called they said to come in then and "sure, they can take care of while you wait!" So I go in, they tell me they can't do that and to leave it and "they'll get to it today". Well, that's not what they told me the other day for one thing. Secondly, I asked when can I come in and wait for it and they tell me around 1 but then... he's looking up my car and sees that the last time I bought tires was 4 years ago and so I must need new tires. (I drive very short distances.) Maybe I do maybe I don't but that's not what I went in there for and I plainly said "I am not doing that today" and so then I get the 'let me go out and take a look' and he comes back in after "looking at my tires" and basically starts the hard sell of "you have so little tread left that I don't even know if we can do a rotation"... a) I can see with my own eyes that's not true and b) completely ignoring that I already told him I not buying tires today. I was done and just told the guy "I've said this twice. I'm going elsewhere." And walked out. I had forgotten the previous bad experience I had there when they had left loose parts in the wheel well and my other garage had found them and I had to argue with this Belle to get a refund from their error. Yes, the one on Woodward and 13 is terrible. I think I've finally learned my lesson. read more

Went in to get the tires rotated. Drop the car off in the 9AM, went back a half hour before they close and the car wasn't even looked at and they were just hanging out in the shop. wtf? Got the car in and rotated the tires.. I drove off and the steering wheel half crooked and had to come back in. They broke off the ball joint when rotating my tires and acted like it was already there like that was the problem that I brought in. $600 later and they wouldn't fix it in time. I had to wait a whole another day. They said they gave me a discount and I didn't really argue.. but it was a bunch of BS just because I wanted to get my tires rotated and not even an apology from anyone. But they broke my freaking car!! and I had to pay for it. Total bullshit. If you see them, keep driving.. bunch of jerks. and my paperwork was a little piece of receipt paper that you can't even tell what the labor or parts or any of that is. "Don't go to that location, go to the Southfield location." My husband recommended as he walked out the door. Due to the close location and convenience I chose to take my car (Nissan Rogue) to the 13/Woodward location. Big mistake. I took my car in at 8:10am and told the mechanic about a grinding noise when I turned right only. I did not receive a call all day, and when I called they had to hang up on me and find my car. I called back and they reported that something was wrong with the transmission (untrue) but that I still needed an alignment. Basically - we aren't going to fix your problem but we still want to charge you for a less than necessary service. I drove to the dealership with my husband and they brought the wrong key out to me. AND they couldn't find the keys to the car of a customer behind me in line. We took my vehicle to a different local mechanic who solved the problem in 2 hours for $112.00. I bought a set of tires for my truck and I did not ask for, or wanted, the road hazard warranty, (Dearborn Heights, MI location). After I paid my bill and left the store, I noticed the road hazard warranty was added to the invoice, (note you don't see the invoice until you pay). Stupid mistake on my part- you can't trust these types of shady businesses. No. I did not want the warranty. First, the warranty is foremost discretionary as to what they decide they want to honor. Secondly, the warranty is prorated. This typically means they inflate the price of the tire and prorate the cost from there. With all said, their warranty is an air sandwich. This is why it was on the invoice without approval. A class action lawsuit down the road would be Karma in its fineness hour. read more

Had to give 1 star to complete review, but actually wanted 0 stars. Took car in for tire repair. First they examined wrong tire, obviously found nothing, and sent me on my way. As I was pulling out of the parking lot, the "inflate tire" light came on the dash. Pulled back in. They removed a nail from the correct tire. This took about 4 hours out of my day. 1 week later, started the car and the "inflate tire" light came on. THEY NEVER FIXED THE TIRE! Took back to same location. Got there at 8:00 when they opened. I arrived for an oil change. I'm happy they were able to get my vehicle served same day. Checking in was easy peasy. Staff wasn't rude, but wasn't friendly either. The waiting area is nice enough, but they have the radio on right by the TV - hard to listen to just one. The bathroom needs a gooooood clean. Walls are dirty. I didn't want to touch anything in there, but my bladder gave me no choice. And broken paper towel dispenser with no alternative. I saw my vehicle get parked in the lot, and it took 15 minute of the staff helping new customers and answering phone calls. I would have preferred to quickly cash out and be on my way. read more

So....the adventure started with a completely flat tire when leaving Planet Fitness in the am. I go to Belle Tire in Southfield around 3pm. Told I would not be serviced until possibly 2 biz says later. It was the same scenario at Bell Tire on Telegraph. I call the Woodward location, was told I could drop the flat tire off and bring vehicle back the next day. I get here, Richard immediately identifies the problem and notices how dangerously worn the front 2 tires are. He immediately bumps my car up to be serviced today because he does not want me to risk driving in the snow with the worn tires. My customer service guy, Mark, was ok. But, stuck to a sales pitch that I finally understood. He then went home without giving me an update on my new tires and wheel alignment purchase. I purchased my tires here because Costco didn't have the tires I needed in stock (BIG MISTAKE). Consider this when you but tires here ... I called for an appointment, and when I arrived for my first rotation they said I needed to drop it off for several hours. I said I didn't have an extra car and that's why I made an appointment. They said, "not our problem, we are short staffed." They have "short staffed" for years. So before you buy any tires here make sure you have an entire day saved for every tire rotation. I went to Costco and had them rotate the tires for $30 in less than 30 minutes. I even ask the the manager if I could come back when they were ready and he said, "nope." I was hesitant about taking my Porsche Cayman to Belle Tires but the assistant manager convinced me that they "routinely" put tires on exotics like Aston Martins. What a mistake. They put the tires on alright but none of the tires had the correct airpressure (30 front/31 back). NONE of the tires even had the same pressure, and one was inflated to 47 psi. Worse, I had 4 speciality value stem caps when i went in but discovered when I got home there were only 3. When I called, the assiatnt manager told me "Sometimes the caps get lost." R-E-A-L-L-Y?!? So instead of finding the one metal Porsche cap that they dropped. they just put on a black plastic one! Of course you can't but one valve stem cap, you have to buy 4. I received no apology or offer to replace it. This after spending $1200 on tires. What a joke. read more

Had an issue I thought was an exhaust problem. Called around and couldn't get in at any repair facility for 2 weeks. Called Belle Tire, they said bring it in. Took car there in evening and dropped off keys. First thing in the morning they called to tell me it was a bad motor mount. They also suggested I replace a tie rod that was loose and would soon need replacement. They had repairs done quickly and at a very reasonable price. When I picked up the car it rode like a new car. I'm very grateful that they checked the suspension while they were replacing motor mount. It made a huge different and I'm confident the work was done with concern for my safety on the road. From start to finish it was a very satisfying experience. I'm glad to know I have auto pros like this close by to provide expert care for my car. Thanks guys! read more

I popped my tire on a Saturday evening and went to check out the damage on my car during Sunday afternoon. I was having difficulty assessing the situation and a young man pulled over to ask what the problem was. Turns out he was actually a Belle Tire employee. He even helped me change my tire!! He had me drop my car off at the Royal Oak Woodward location on Sunday night and said they would move as quickly as possible. The next evening they were done! Belle Tire used to have great customer service. Now all they have are low prices. I have a slow leak in a tire, and I cannot remove the lugs (I stood on the wrench, and my 250 lbs wouldn't budge it) so I couldn't put the spare on so I could drop off the tire. I called in to see if they could just help me get the tire off, they said "no, you have to leave your car with us." It's not like I want them to drop everything and fix the tire - I'd be willing to wait a couple of days. No, they just can't take the 5 minutes to get the tire off and put on the spare. Because??? Not all of us have the luxury of being able to sit around for three hours waiting, or have someone who can pick them up - or can afford a Lyft or Uber to get to work. By the way - this is for three different Belle Tire locations. Next time I buy tires I will pay the extra for decent service. read more

I had a flat and I was lucky to make it to this location. I know that this is the busiest store! They let me know that it may take all day, but got it done in a few short hours. I brought my car in for my tires to be rotated (previously purchased at Belle Tire) and an oil change. I was told my brakes were worn and needed to be replaced quickly, as it would have been unsafe to drive my car. I left my car at Belle Tire for three days to have this work done over the weekend. When I picked up my car and began driving it, my brakes did not function properly, and my foot went to the floor. It was clear that my brake line had been bled improperly, and my car was leaking brake fluid. Customer service with the manager left a lot to be desired. He was rude and not understanding of the inconvenience and danger that this situation caused to me. My brakes could have gone out while I was driving my car and someone could have been seriously injured as a result of the poor work that the mechanics at the Royal Oak shop did. The manager didn't even apologize. When I inquired about compensation, seeing as though I paid for a job that was not properly completed, the manager was dishonest in the information that he gave me. I have been a loyal Belle Tire customer for years, and I would seriously advise against having any work done at this Belle Tire location. read more

So we have used before but in this case we just needed a oil change and rotate. It was explained that it needed dexos oil as recommended by Gm . So what did they do ,put in Mobil 1 dexos and with all that was said and done 90 plus dollars later for a routine maintenance operation. This was a complete overcharge and it could not be exchanged or downgraded. This store overcharged us and hopefully never know one will experience an overcharge like this on routine oil change . The manager and crew should have known and never done this "overcharging" to begin with . Beware of this location . Belle Tire has become a scam, avoid it. Was a regular customer at Belle Tire for years. In May, I went up there to get a slow leak plugged in one of my tires per their guarantee. Counter man asked if I wanted an alignment, and I said sure. 4 hours later, my tire is finally fixed, and I'm told that they couldn't do the alignment because my control arms and ball joints were shot, inner and outer tie rods were siezed, sway bar was shot and presented me with an estimate of 1250 dollars to fix it all. I said no thanks and walked out. Took my vehicle to a Goodyear up the street, and the only thing amiss was a left outer tie rod which cost me 250 bucks including an alignment. Sat in the lobby for three hours waiting for a tire balance and rotation. When I chose not to buy one of their products they put my car on the rack and let it sit there with the wheels off for 2 hours. I waited for 2 hours for a balance and rotation part!!! Don't EVER have your car serviced here. EVER. Now that I have it back, I noticed that they only rotated the tires without tire balancing. The tire vibration that WAS in the front is now in the back!! They dispatched someone to come to my place to replace a broken window, then they said they needed me to take it into the shop and had to get a special part, spent forever scheduling a follow up and getting the part, didn't end up using the part and could have easily fixed it in the initial appointment.
