While I woke up on Sunday morning with two of my tires showing very low air pressure. I was wary about trying a new mechanic in the area. Unfortunately, on a Sunday morning there are not a lot of choices to choose from...then I googled closest mechanic near me and this place popped up. I called ahead and was quickly greeted by a nice guy who told me to bring my car in and the team will take a look at it. I slowly drove over to the mechanic shop and was pleasantly surprised by how clean the shop was AND the professionalism of the staff. The gentlemen working the front desk was very nice and made me feel really comfortable. I ended up getting more air in all of my tires by another super nice gentlemen who was happy to help me. They checked all four of my tires to ensure I was ready for the road. It's safe to say, I truly appreciated that they were not only open on a Sunday when everyone else was closed but how fast, efficient, and KIND every person was. What I loved most was the fact no one tried to sell me on anything and the staff seemed to really care about me - the customer. For this alone, I definitely can see the value of of coming when my car needs additional service. I will not be returning to this business. They are not interested in providing good customer service. They are only interested in making a buck. I came to this business to get a slow leak fixed. They proceeded to try and sell me two new tires instead of just fixing the slow leak. I told them I didn't want to buy two new tires today; especially since they were pricing them over and above what was being offered on the Goodyear site for the same tires. I asked them why that was. They came some bs excuse that the price online wasn't including the labor or the road protection plan. REALLY! I wonder if they would have pulled the same crap, if I was a guy!! I thanked them for their time. They said they understood and would fill the tire before giving me the keys back. Well, guess what they didn't even put air in the tire. This is the car that my 18 yr old daughter drives to get her back and forth to school. Real class act they are, not!! I definitely will not be spending my money there. First timer here. I called around local tire/auto shops to get a tire fixed on my boyfriends Dodge Journey. I was calling around and using Yelp to help me determine a decent place that wouldn't take advantage of me because I'm a woman and coming in alone. Nathaniel, and all of the staff I came in contact with were excellent. I made the common mistake as to make an appointment at another location further up the road, but somehow ended up at this one. Nathaniel, and his manager were beyond accommodating. The Storefront is well kept, and the lobby was very comfortable to wait on service. Lazy workers. Considering there are three open bay doors, and no signs, you would think pulling up to the window would be the method to take to get an oil change. Upon sitting there for 10 minutes while several employees stared at me nobody figured that I might be waiting for service. Nobody came out to let me know you have to go inside. This is my third experience with Goodyear this month... but wait for why. First my boyfriend had a slow leak, we got his car here and they were able to clean out some (winter) buildup that was affecting the seal on his tires. They did this and said, "please consider us in the future for your tire needs" with no charge. A few days later a different tire on his car needed to be fixed and they were accommodating to correct it for him. Lastly, today, another cold, snowy Monday in Michigan, my tire light came on. I called and while they likely cannot get to my car tonight they were very accommodating of my stressful situation. The facility is super clean. The coffee was hot. Literally the only place I found that would be upfront and give me a quote on paper for all the work I was requesting. Manager and staff were attentive and actually seemed to care about their work and customers. Saw something that all companies should do...not cut corners and actually care about customer service. A kid was in there, in a rush, getting tires put on and was kind of being rude for them to hurry up. The kid wanted them to just skip balancing all of his tires. They handled it well and everyone in the room including me insisted that he let them finish balancing them. Good customer service and wanted to do the right thing. Prices seemed a little steep on some of the stuff, like I wonder if they knew I was knowledgeable about all the service I was requesting? I knew the part cost, the parts quoted seemed way to high. It does seem like it's quality and I actually haven't been back to talk to them about it yet, they may be willing to budge on things, can't knock it if I haven't talked to them about it. read more

Love this place! I can make oil change appointments online which I love, and can drop my car off, walk home and usually within an hour my car is ready for pickup. I can't speak to how long it would take to wait in store, but guessing it would be quicker. This past Monday I had a tire that was going flat and needed to make an appointment to bring my car in. I called this store and much to my delight Nathaniel answered the phone and he was more than happy to do so. I came in a 8 am this morning and shortly thereafter the manager Matthew came and told me that I had a puncture that required a new tire. He did not have in stock but could get it from the warehouse. I had a bolt in my tire that made it go completely flat. I took it in to the Royal Oak Goodyear and was very happy with the service I received. I'm clearly a young girl who knows nothing about cars or tires and could have been easily taken advantage of. They called me and informed me with honesty that my tire wasn't safe to patch and it would need replaced. They respected that I wanted to make some calls before agreeing. Yesterday afternoon my tire was almost flat so I pulled it into my backyard to have my grandson put green slime to fix whatever small leak it had. Well he accidentally broke the valve in the stem. Because it was after 8 PM there obviously was no tire repair shop open so I waited until I got off work today at 6 PM I had my grandson take the tire off and put it in my spouses car to take it to a repair shop that I thought was open until 7 PM. It was not, so of course I looked online desperate because we are getting 4 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow and I do not want to leave my car up on a jack as well as I need it for work I called this Goodyear to make sure they were open at about 625 and was happy that someone answered the phone and said I had a tire that needed a new plug if he could please take care of it because of the snow. He asked me what year the car was and I blurted it out but said it doesn't matter what year it is I have the tire already off as well as a plug because this it happened before with the other tire on my car. He told me to hurry up and I told him I was at 14 and crooks and I would be right there. I pulled into the parking lot at 6:40 and all of the bays were dark and there was no one in the front but the front door was unlocked. I actually had pulled the tire out of the car by myself and rolled it in and started to go to the door of the repair area and the guy finally walked up and looked at it and said I can't use the stem you have in your hand and I said that's fine whatever you want to use. He then said that it would be over $100 to put it in because it is a metal stem and he had to replace it with a censored stem. Mind you this is a 2007 blazer the sensor is only to tell you if your tires are low. I asked him please to do it that I just had a repair shop replace the other one that this happened totwo months ago and they never mentioned anything about having to replace the stem that way. He said we are a corporation that follows the rules. I said We are getting a snowstorm and I need my car and he said no. I should have known that he did not want to do it from the start he was trying to avoid it on the phone and then the place was completely dark at 6:40 PM. I do not understand why your company posts a open and close when your employees have no intention of working till 7 PM. I will never recommend anyone going to this repair shop. I'm sorry but I find that employee to be lazy, I am a 56-year-old woman that desperately needed my car with a snowstorm coming and he refused it. Maybe you should post on your door it closes when Your employees feel like closing. P.S. Also there was never any offer from him to put the tire back in my car. My mom had a great experience with this location when she needed her tires fixed due to a nail in her tire and recommended I take my vehicle there as well. I dropped my vehicle off this morning at 9:30am for the same issue. I received friendly service during the drop off (hence the one star) but that's where it ended. At 3:15pm I called to check to see if there had been any progress on getting my tires fixed and was told no one had started on it and I should expect a call back by the end of the day. Fine. No biggie, I just wanted it fixed. About 20 minutes later, I received a call saying they couldn't locate the tire lock for and it wasn't in the glove box. I didn't know where it was (I've received service on my car before without having to locate it myself) and told the person who called. I then asked why didn't anyone contact me earlier in the day to ask where it was. The person immediately got an attitude and said "well we've been busy all day!" I said "so you are getting an attitude with me?" It seems to me that before someone drops off their car, those things should be talked about and found before someone's car sits all day and the nail is still there. Common courtesy and kindness really does go a long way. read more

This place is awesome! I've been going to dealerships for years. Recently I have been getting the run around and having bad experiences with dealerships. I ask for tires and service and they want me to call them back all the time, they don't answer and by the time I need work done they don't have time for me. This place does the job quickly and effectively. You call, usually someone picks up everytime, you tell them what you need, they get it done that day or later. So if you want any work done period go here. They will tell you to come in at anytime and they will get it done in a few hours. They don't tell you they don't have time or to call them back. If you have Goodyear tires, they repair a flat for free (if it's fixable). I was so surprised when I picked up the car and they said, "No charge". You certainly don't find THAT every day. I give nothing but the highest rating for this new Goodyear Auto Service Center. Skip, the manager and the rest of the team have helped me out when my car needed service. They expedited the service, provided a texted photo of what was wrong with my car. They even stayed late to fix my car since I was traveling the next day. Excellent service here. I went twice near closing time, once to get my wheel lug torques reset, and another time to have a nail removed, and they did both of these for free. These guys also serviced my car right away, unlike Firestone which has made me wait hours at their facility for a scheduled appointment. He just wasn't that friendly. Didn't smile and was curt. Shouldn't be in this line of work if you are not going to be friendly and personable with customers as repair shops are a dime a dozen. I have been going to Good Year for oil changes for years because their prices are so low. Today I had an appointment for an oil change at 2:30pm, and I did not leave until 4:30pm. I actually got there early as well. I was extremely aggravated because first of all an oil change should not take two hours, and second I had an appointment. Also, I had my work Christmas party at 5:00pm. I did not get home until 5:00pm and ended up missing my work Christmas party because it was a 40 minute drive from where I live, and ends at a specific time and I wouldn't have made it in time. While I was still waiting, I went to the desk to ask how much longer because it had been two hours at this point, and the man did not even acknowledge me, he continued to avoid me. When I went to pay, he did not apologize for the wait even though he knew I was angry. I am extremely annoyed and frustrated and will not be going back here. read more

I purchased a set of Goodyear wiper blades from Costco that had Terrible instructions. I tried to install them myself but knew when to quit due to a thousand adaptors and fear of breakage. I called this dealer and offered to pay them for installing them for me but he said he would put them on - no charge. I offered again after he installed them and he again refused payment. Now that is excellent customer satisfaction and one might go back for other services because this looks like an honest and competent service center. I definitely recommend this Goodyear Service Center. I had many questions about service I needed. Mathew set me up with an appt. and the guys were right on time. Anthony and Adam were very patient helping me understand exactly what my vehicle needed and why. They helped me save some bucks through coupons and rebates, as well. Anthony even put the rebate info in an envelope for me so that all I needed to do was seal it up and mail it. They worked on my car a little past closing so I could have it back as soon as possible. It was great to have an available shuttle so I didn't have to wait in shop. Vince was very accommodating when he was driving me home and I realized I forgot things at the shop. Took me back to the shop and then took me home. He even offered to help me with my bags. These guys have themselves a new customer that will return. read more
