Stopped by Wild Willy's after kayaking Lake Winna. The burgers are around $10 which I found to be expensive but they are of the highest quality. My burger was cooked to perfection and the roll was toasted. Definitely the best burger I've had in years. Another thing I noticed were that the fries were of highest quality also. They were clearly fresh cut fries and not frozen. They tasted like the fries you get at a carnival or ball park... very savory. The service outside on the patio was very attentive. My son and I were hankering for a burger from a local place before our flight back home and decided to try Wild Willy's. Convenient location not too far off of I90 with a decent size parking lot which is a big plus around here. The place is a little dark from the outside but noticed cars in the lot. Great burger selection with different grounds of beef to choose from and plenty of side options. The burgers we ordered were cooked to order and tasted really good. Very high quality with the large order of fries hot and crispy and easily shareable for two adults. I also had the steak chili which was very savory and smoky with chunks of beef. It was Black Friday the day we went and business was light. Definitely a place I would recommend. The quality of the food from this place deserves more traffic and consideration if you want a quality burger. read more

Unless you wanna pay extra for things that a burger comes with so you end up having a $40 bill for one cheeseburger and fries when this was wild willies, it was expensive enough and now they have the audacity to sit here and charge for lettuce and tomato. I went today with my partner, my sister, her husband, and child. This was the first time dining at Wild Willy's. You order at the counter, and then get a number for your table. The line moved quickly, so there wasn't a long wait trying to figure out what to order. I ordered the Wicked Good Burger with chicken. I ordered it without Swiss cheese, but when it arrived it came with Swiss and without cheddar. I brought the burger up to the counter to let them know the error, and they corrected it right away. My chicken burger was okay. I'd definitely order something else next time because it felt like there was too much cheese on it. I don't normally do beef, but I appreciate that there were a few different beef options to choose from. I also ordered some fries. I have heard that unless you order the fries well done, they come out soggy. Not sure if this is true, but we ordered the fries well done and they were delicious! Crispy, but not burnt. Perfectly cooked fries. I would go back just for them. They do have some beers in bottles, as well as sodas, and milkshakes. We only live ten minutes away, but today was our first time ordering from Wild Willy's. I ordered the Rio Grande and hubs got the "Bubba" BBQ. We shared a small side of sweet potato fries that stayed crispy by the time we got home. Both burgers were cooked to a perfect medium and I really liked the spiciness of the green chilies. We washed down our burgers with an order of their lime rickey, which was perfectly sweet and not overly tart. This burger joint is going to be our new go-to place for burgers over Shake Shack and other local burger joints around us for the value, taste and portion control. Their burgers are just the right size and aren't packed with a bunch of complicated ingredients that fall out while eating. However, the salad ingredients looked fresh and crisp but it wasn't really that good. Maybe it needed more dressing since it was huge! The burger, was definitely the highlight. As it is a burger place, better off to stick with the burgers. In reading the reviews, everyone was raving about the fries and onion rings, so we ordered them to try. The fries, nothing special. Excellent Burger! Only negative was the weirdo in the next booth reading out loud to his daughter. He was reading as if he was on stage and my comments and looks didn't phase him at all. Then another couple just let their kid scream as if there was nobody else in the place. I was writing this review and had to stop because I could not even think at that point. I raised three kids, but I guess I am old school, the kind of parent that actually noticed other people existed on the planet. This ruined my experience, but the burger was very lean and tasty. Ok, so I think ALL the burgers are grass-fed... Oops! It's still a tasty, succulent, awesome burger and one of our favorites for a quick meal. This time I went with the "Bandito," which has sauteed onions and Cheddar cheese. Pretty good, although the onions made it quite messy. The fries could use a bit of work... I don't mind a "soggy" fry, but these are not as crispy as I would have liked. It does take a while for the food to come, but there is a sign warning you that it will take 12-15 minutes for your burger to cook. So, just make sure you like your company! read more

You should note that $6 doesnt include anything but the burger itself and you even have to pay extra for lettuce and tomato if it doesn't come on it! I think that's a pretty crappy thing to do, to make you pay extra for a measly piece lettuce and a slice of tomato. Wild Willy's is right off of Watertown square, tucked into a spot that you might possibly miss if you weren't paying attention. But apparently a lot of people have paid attention--when I was there recently on a Saturday for lunch, the place was packed. It's a burger barn but the burgers are better than your average fast-food; charbroiled, plain or fancy, with shakes and fries on the side. Cheap and very very good. I had the Bubba BBQ with "zesty BBQ sauce, hickory-smoked bacon, Cheddar cheese, onion, and pickles" for $5.75. Worth every penny. The fries are also excellent and although I didn't get one, the frappes looked really really yummy. They have draft root beer too! It's a definite family atmosphere, as you would expect from most fast-food types of place. Lots of kids so if you are suffering from too much partying the night before, you might want to avoid it. ;-) read more

The burgers are really good if you haven't had a lot fo different burgers in your life, but I'm a super burger junkie so as time goes on, these stand out less and less. I tend to enjoy the BBQ burger, it's pretty tasty and the fries are exceptionally good. I also like the lemonade and raspberry lime rickey. I usually opt for the bison or grass fed beef but they have an all natural angus and something in between that and the grass fed. The bubba bbq and the willy are probably my favorite burger up here in the northeast. The fries could be better but they're still good. Drinks: They serve beer here which is cool although I think I've maybe had it once in the dozens of times I've been here. The root beer is amazing and so are the spritz/rickey drinks. Service: It's nice. They bring the food over to your table and it's not a sit down place at all. Decor: Extremely tacky. I don't think I will ever sit in their saddle bar stools. Price: Here is the only caveat. The burgers are expensive especially as you opt for nicer meat. Want double meat/cheese and it can be ~5 dollars more. If you bring a friend and are both on an appetite be prepared to spend at least 20 dollars each on a burger, fries and a drink. read more

I'll add to the chorus of reviews praising Wild Willy's for their tasty, nearly fast food burgers wrapped in tin foil. The menu is decently extensive, the staff has accommodated large take out orders for me with no hiccups, and malt vinegar, hot oils, and a variety of mustards are on offer if you think to check the front counter before sitting down. I appreciated how the burger I asked to be cooked medium rare actually was done so, and also how good my coffee milkshake was. We beat the late afternoon snack rush and didn't have to wait very long for our food at all. You'll be paying dine-in restaurant prices for your food, which you can take to go or order at the restaurant for table service. $6.50 for a quick burger is somewhat steep, but I'll still be back when the mood strikes. read more

Wild wild wild willy's. Well, it's certainly set up to be a western kinda' spot except they only do burgers. Best part of the meal was the bottle of No. 9 and the cheese fries. The fries were definitely fried in recently changed fry oil and had a crispy outside and soft inside and light coloring. Covered in your standard cheddar meltilicousness. I had the Willy Burger med rare. Described as a "Classic American burger American cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, mustard, ketchup, pickles and mayo," mine came with all of the above except there were also roasted red and green peppers. Not cool in my book. The patty was cooked med rare but definitely only a 1/3 pound and lacking flavor, bland to be exact. I ordered the special patty that claims to be grass fed organic free range beef from Vermont in the hope that it would be worth the extra dollar but once again proved to myself that you can't mess with a burger by trying too hard. This is the only reason I will return tomorrow (yes, I have another appointment in the area and will be there anyway): I want to try the regular patty instead of the holier-than-thou specialty kind. read more

Going for a drive through the city on a rainy afternoon, looking for a restaurant I've never been too, I came across Wild Willy's Burgers. My wife and I are very pleased with the experience. The food was just great, we could really taste the difference from the farm raised cows and the regular prime beef. Price was it was a little steep, around $15 per person, but we got what we paid for. And that was a delicious burger, tasty fries and some fresh squeezed lemonade. My only real gripe with the place is, upon being asked if this was our first time here, we were just told where to find a menu... If it was busy I would be more understanding. My kids and I love coming to this place. The burger meat is tasty and doesn't have any gristle, the buns are soft and fresh, both grilled perfectly to order. My kids love that there is also a Mac and cheese option, and they (and I!) devour the sweet potato fries. The chocolate ice cream is very satisfying. The best part (if you are a parent of kids under 10) is that there are picture books for the kids to read while we wait for our order. They are usually spot on. But sadly the food we have ordered for delivery has not been up to the standards you would get if you had been there in person. We had ordered a large onion ring and they sent what looked like a portion for a small child. The burgers were labeled correctly but the buns seemed dried out and one was missing tomato.
