This restaurant opened in a building space nearby us that has a track record of businesses closing, but I don't see that problem happening here. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the portion sizes were great! The wait staff was great too and the interior of the restaurant is way better than the other businesses that have taken space before. The only thing to mention is that you do have to pay 25 cents for bread refills (this is the only restaurant I've ever gone to that does that), and that the menu is quite pricy, but everything is nowadays so take it what you will. Delish! This place just opened up not too far from my apartment complex, so my husband and I walked over for a little date night. Upon walking in, I was surprised how busy it was! And they also had live music that night. What a treat. We were seated immediately. Waiter had good customer service, but not overly friendly. The appetizers are a bit hefty in price, some of them equally the same price as an entree. So we skipped that. Their bread is delish, and you get two rolls for free but after that it's 25 cents each for any extras. I got the eggplant parm and my husband got the Burrata fettuccini. Both our plates were delicious! I judge an Italian place on how well their eggplant parm is (and if the eggplant is thoroughly cooked! Bc I've gotten crunchy eggplant before at other places....) and they pass the test. I actually think I would have preferred my dish a little saltier, but otherwise, everything was divine. Lastly, my husband and I split a slice of their signature bellissima cream cake. The cake slice is huge, and I believe there was some lemon in there. $10 for one slice is a bit hefty, but we enjoyed ourselves none the less. My reason for one star off is paying extra for bread (which I've never encounter anywhere else), & the fact our waiter never refilled our water except for when we specifically asked him to. Bellissima where have you been all our lives? Words cannot express how delicious the food is here. It was our first time and service, menu, and variety did not disappoint! Family owned which made the experience unique. Paired with the friendly ambiance, we had a Caesar salad, perfectly dressed, creamy, and not overly fishy, which is absolutely perfect for me. 2 glasses of cold, crisp J.Lohr Chardonnay was paired with our shrimp picante pasta and chicken parmesan over fettuccine. The tables for two are a too small. We received our appetizer and almost immediately received our salad...very close together. With the table being so small it made the very crowded and just not comfortable. Was excited to try this place out for a birthday dinner. Food was good, not great. The service was excellent, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. As for the food, it was hit or miss for me. My mom ordered a stuffed chicken dish, which was absolutely incredible. The pizza also had great flavor, but the crust was a bit underdone. I ordered the ribeye, and I have to say, it was very disappointing. I walked in for lunch, the place had a decent lunch crowd, not slow but not super busy either. I stood there looking at the little menu board with their happy hour specials. The one wait staff looked at me and I asked do I sit anywhere or do you have a table for 1? He asked me to follow which I did, he sat me away from people and towards back. I am ok with that, however there was no communication between the one who sat me and the actual wait person of that table, so I sat and sat and sat while different wait staff including the gentleman who sat me. Finally 10 minutes of sitting and not acknowledged I was finally acknowledged by a gentleman who asked of if I have been served, he quickly apologized for the delay. He was nice and helpful and inquired of it was my first time, which was and he had some great recommendations. I ordered the beef tortellini and a Cesar salad, let me say if you leave hungry then it is your own fault. The Cesar salad was enough for 2 people, the dressing was fresh and every piece had been covered and the beef tortellini was hot, fresh and delicious. It is definitely a place for a little longer lunch since everything is made so fresh, The restaurant has a nice soft feel, to dark colors, soft lighting and a full bar. The drink menu looks outstanding, my next visit I will have to try one! I would say if lunch portions were smaller it would be a wonderful lunch place, but the feel is definitely for dinner with friends, family or date night. We arrived at an off peak time (We always do) on Sunday and were immediately greeted and seated. The ambiance is pleasant and whistle clean. Our server, Charlie quickly arrived and offered us help with the drink menu. We each ordered a cocktail and were pleased with our choices. Charlie was also our guide through the very extensive menu. We finally made our decisions and sat back to enjoy our drinks. If you ever read any of my reviews, you would know that I like to see a presence of management and there was two on the floor. Places don't run on auto pilot successfully but this operation was running smoothly under the watchful eyes of the managers. Our salads and dinners arrived in that order. We had both chosen dinners that were based on chicken and we were both pleased with the presentation , taste and quality. Went to Bellissima last night. Husband ordered 4 cheese ravioli. They came out with bread and oil/balsamic vinegar, he does not like that, so he asked for real butter. They brought it. When he got his dinner he got 5 raviolis for $19.50!!! Not a plate big enough for a grown man!!! When the bill came we found a charge of $.50 for European butter. The server never said there would be an extra charge when this was requested. We complained but they did not take it off the bill. This is one place we will not return to. read more

What went well? I'd say just about everything! I was taking a friend out to dinner for her BD and because she just landed a good job. Walked in about 6:30 on Friday without a reservation. Even though they were fully booked, a table came open and we were seated within just a few minutes. We examined the menu and specials and were delighted to see lots of dishes we wanted to try as well as every dessert they offered. We ordered drinks and decided to forgo the appetizers (tempting as they are) and ordered sides salads and entrees. She ordered the bisteca and I ordered the scampi. Her house side salads was loaded with fresh veggies and good crisp lettuce, my Caesar delicious with the same crispy Romain & croutons and a very tasty dressing. The entrees were excellent. The bisteca was melt in your mouth delicious and paired with home made penne in a delicious sauce a wonderful dish. The scampi was perfectly prepared with homemade spaghetti. The sauce was just slightly picante as advertised. A delightful dinner. Oh I forgot, loved the home made rolls with dipping sauce of olive oil, vinegar and spices. The dessert we chose to share was a pistacio and cream filled cake. It was totally scrumptious. Lastly, but definitely very important was the service. Absolutely perfect service. The dishes were severed in a timely fashion and we were tended to expertly and without ever feeling rushed. Service was very good. Appetizers were served first, followed by the salad and entree. We never had to request refills and there was perfect timing between courses. The bruschetta was the low point of the meal as it was on doughy bread and not very flavorful. The salad was fresh and nicely presented. My husband had veal Marsala and thoroughly enjoyed it but would have liked a little more veal as opposed to more pasta. I had the gnocchi with bolognese sauce and it was flavorful and very good. Serving sizes are small but the quality is excellent. The Italian cream cake was also good. They do not have a good coffee according to the servers, which is always enjoyable after a meal. They were busy as we were leaving and seem to do a good deal of takeout as well as a good pizza business. We will certainly return but not have appetizers. They have a nice happy hour also. It's quality service and ingredients for less than what one would pay at McDonald's. You can't miss this place! The Edison light bulb / or any light bulb hanging down without the proper filter is atrocious. It burns my retinas and is NOT flattering for anyone, especially when they're on a date. This is an awful trend and it needs to stop! Last, acoustics are really important, consult with a sound engineer. Lighting and sound set the atmosphere and create either a harsh or relaxing environment and it will affect the experience of the customer. In extreme situations it will affect the flavor of the food, it's about perception. Many moons ago, my grandfather would take all of us to an Italian restaurant once a month. Is it inside a strip mall? Yes but what do you expect it's in the suburbs. They do a very nice job of providing a vibe. The guy singing Sinatra songs livens up the place and the Friday night clientele is what you would expect in that part of town. Tons of families and a few older couples out on date night. Really good food, poor customer service. Our family has ordered two pizzas every week just about since Bellisima opened. The pizzas are excellent, yet not cheap. Usually about $47 for two pies. On a recent order we accidentally ordered gluten free crust - it was 100% our mistake as the week before we had a guest that couldn't eat gluten. That carried over to this weeks order. We called to if they would remake pizzas, sharing we are loyal customers who made a mistake. They wouldn't even offer a discount! It is well within the companies prerogative to deny such requests, however their decision is a big miss on customer service and loyalty. read more

Great ambiance, I went on a Saturday night so the live music wasn't there but didn't need it, I would say the place really started to fill up around 6-6:30 so I recommend a reservation. Had to try their margarita pizza and honestly pretty good id say a solid 7.8 also highly recommend the amaretto orange if you're interested in trying a cocktail.
