The service was outstanding! The bread served was fresh, crispy, crunchy yet soft in the middle. I appreciate their prices too! It's quality service and ingredients for less than what one would pay at McDonald's. You can't miss this place! My only recommendation for the establishment is: the sauce for the fettuccine Alfredo was great regarding the creaminess it is, but, I like my sauce with ricotta and I didn't taste that ingredient. The noodles were cooked a bit too much for me, perhaps it's because they might be using fresh pasta. I'm sure I could've prefaced it to be cooked "al dente" I will next time. Last, and this is an issue that really ruins the experience for me but, it's a trend I've seen across the board and in practically every restaurant. THE LIGHTING AND THE SOUND! For goodness sakes. The Edison light bulb / or any light bulb hanging down without the proper filter is atrocious. It burns my retinas and is NOT flattering for anyone, especially when they're on a date. This is an awful trend and it needs to stop! Last, acoustics are really important, consult with a sound engineer. Lighting and sound set the atmosphere and create either a harsh or relaxing environment and it will affect the experience of the customer. In extreme situations it will affect the flavor of the food, it's about perception. Many moons ago, my grandfather would take all of us to an Italian restaurant once a month. Is it inside a strip mall? Yes but what do you expect it's in the suburbs. They do a very nice job of providing a vibe. The guy singing Sinatra songs livens up the place and the Friday night clientele is what you would expect in that part of town. Tons of families and a few older couples out on date night. I love this isn't a chain and it has a personality all its own. The people working here are friendly and helpful. Is the service a bit rushed? Depends on who you ask. Really good food, poor customer service. Our family has ordered two pizzas every week just about since Bellisima opened. The pizzas are excellent, yet not cheap. Usually about $47 for two pies. On a recent order we accidentally ordered gluten free crust - it was 100% our mistake as the week before we had a guest that couldn't eat gluten. That carried over to this weeks order. We called to if they would remake pizzas, sharing we are loyal customers who made a mistake. They wouldn't even offer a discount! It is well within the companies prerogative to deny such requests, however their decision is a big miss on customer service and loyalty. read more

Great ambiance, I went on a Saturday night so the live music wasn't there but didn't need it, I would say the place really started to fill up around 6-6:30 so I recommend a reservation. Had to try their margarita pizza and honestly pretty good id say a solid 7.8 also highly recommend the amaretto orange if you're interested in trying a cocktail. They need to improve two areas - their phone to get reservations - always goes to a message. their approach to handling to go orders and delivery pickups - its a real bottleneck at the entrance while we stand waiting in line behind them to get out hopefully reserved table. The absolute worst experience I have had in years. A waiter who was the slowest ever, argumentative, paid no attention to our requests and the manager who was virtually absent. Both were exceptionally insensitive to service. 1. with only 3 active tables it took almost 15 minutes to get water 2. Ordered caprese and there was zero basil, only arugula. I said it was not basil. He said it was under the mozzarella but it was only more arugula. He went to talk to a manager who came back after their discussion and said it was in the sauce. There was no sauce. The tomatoes were under ripe, had no pepper with some balsamic vinegar and negligible olive oil. I said caprese has basil and that's why I ordered it at least 3 times. Then he asked if I wanted basil. I said yes!! Then he brings wilted chopped basil. I sent it back. It noted as a manager's comp on my check. It was not a comp. It was refused. The manager never came by to understand why it was sent back. 3. The 4 small dinner rolls were served with about 2 tblsp of olive oil, minimal balsamic vinegar and zero seasonings, not even black pepper. We asked for more olive oil because there were 4 of us and then was given the same sparse serving where everyone had about half of a dinner roll left because there was not enough olive oil even with the second serving of olive oil. And we were never offered black pepper for the oil. I ordered spicy chicken pasta. The chicken pieces were dry and rock hard. 4. The spice level was 4x than I have ever had in an Italian restaurant. The spice level overpowered the dish and the sauce was bland, even with the overpowering peppers. 5. We were never offered fresh ground black pepper for our meal. When we asked for it, we were given a cheap plastic grinder that worked poorly and we struggled to get it to work so we gave up. 6. We ordered a bottle of wine. The waiter opened it and poured all the glasses without presenting to the person who ordered it to try it first. That's never happened where it wasn't presented for tasting. He then tossed the cork on the table and said there's your cork. 7. My friend spilled her iced weather and she yelped. The manager and waiter came over and both asked if they could do anything and just stood there. Yes stop staring and go get some napkins. The manager left and never returned. The waiter comes back 5 minutes later with no sense of urgency with only 2 small paper towels. He never even wiped up the table. Meanwhile my friend is sopping wet and was very uncomfortable. 8. I had a lot of my meal left over because it just wasn't good. The waiter asked me twice if I wanted a to go box. Both times I said no. He still brought me a box. 9. We asked for 3 checks for a party of 4. Twice we stated who got what checks. He brings back 2 checks and 10 minutes later was still not corrected so we said to split the bill down the middle so we could get out of there. There was no urgency from this guy. 10. The manager never came by or asked how we were doing though we had multiple issues. 11. Because of the poor service, a simple lunch took almost 2 hours and was most unsatisfactory. This in spite of the restaurant never being more than 1/3 full. Italian food is a favorite of mine but this place had no understanding of basic Italian food (no basil on caprese?!!), lack of customer service or social skills. Arguing with a customer about arugula vs basil? My friends said the place was typically great and maybe it was just this weekend crew that was bad but even the manager was awful. I left that place frustrated, irritated and angry that they ruined lunch for us. read more

Came to Austin for a friend's birthday and this is one of the places we went to eat that was his preference. I could see why. The wait time agreeable for a Saturday and once we were seated the server was very attentive. I ordered the chicken marsala and it was delicious. (I love mushrooms). I wish we would have also tried one of their appetizers, but based on how much of my entree I ate, I don't think I would have survived! Haha. Everyone at the table enjoyed their food and drinks which solidified this as a quality restaurant. The feel of the restaurant was also very pleasant, even if we kind of suspected a few of the paintings were AI generated from Amazon. ( Not that there was anything wrong with that. Just something we noticed.) I think my only concern was that the pasta felt a little closer to al dente, but that might just be how they prefer it here. Bellissima is the best thing to happen in the Four Points area in the 30 years I've lived here. The food is as good as it is in Italy. Truly. I just returned from a month in Italy and the food at Bellissima is like being there. The pizza crust is fabulous. We tried the Prociutto/fig/mozzarella pizza and the Margarita pizza And will be returning to try more. We had the fried ravioli appetizer with the marinara sauce....perfection! And although we were a little full we decided to try a dessert too. We had the Bellissima Cream Cake, and were delighted with the flavor and texture. The portion was large so we were glad to share one piece between the two of us. The atmosphere is very casual and comfortabl. I was not expecting much from this place other than decent Italian food. It gives modern, homey, slightly-better-than mods pizza vibes with the environment, HOWEVER... the food was amazing. I had the burrata pizza and it was the best pizza I've ever had in my life. Even hours after I let it sit on the counter, when I ate it, it tasted amazing and the texture was still perfect. I can tell this restaurant must be owned by an authentic Italian family. The staff even accommodated my cousin and I as the first table we were placed at was directly under the ac and it was too cold. They moved us to a better table of our satisfaction. Our waitress was very nice and personable. After the meal I thought the owner was outside smoking a cigarette, so I went to go ask for one. They had none. I had a short, pleasant conversation with them explaining how the food was great and went back to my table. Moments later, a cigarette with a lighter was handed to me. A great experience!
