Chef at other table dropped bowl on floor. Put it back on their grill. Our chef doesn't get the cross contact issue with food allergies. Spoke with manager Jason. Quarantine Review..this is my 1st dine out experience since this Covd 19 has limited our normalcy. Received an email with Benihana Family to go specials. I thought why not for Easter. I been cooking nonstop for last few weeks. Such a great price why not. I used the Order Online to get the chicken and shrimp for two for $35. Normally, it would be that per person. I ordered an extra 10oz of Chicken fried rice. I also added a 1oz of garlic butter. A lot of people love the yum yum sauce. I love the garlic butter and ginger sauce. I ordered and paid online. Upon arrival, the parking lot was empty except for vehicles of workers I imagine. I go in and see the tape on the floor showing you where to stand for social distance. A woman says hello from the sushi area that is blocked off. I tell her my name. She is wearing gloves and a mask. She brings my order around and confirms order number from my email and on the receipt. Pretty seamless transaction. I get home and take everything out. Very sad to see my garlic butter was not included. I had to make my own. Not the end of the world but disappointing. The portion size for the price was not bad. I I split with my teenage son thus the 2and 10oz chicken fried rice was ordered. 1 for each of us. Lol! We fixed our plates and enjoyed the food. There was enough left for 1 more plate tomorrow. Not bad. Would I do it again? Yes I would because again the price is great and portion not bad. I would check for my garlic butter next time before leaving. Marlos answered the phone twice on the both of my calls in which I requested to add a little customization to my order. Marlos made it happen and pleasantly. He was so friendly, I thought that I was speaking to a host. I called the second time just to get his name and he answered once more with a virtual smile. Ate here last night with a girlfriend. She made a reservation for 545, we arrived about 530 and was taken to our table right at 545. Our server was great. Attentive and got everyone's orders correct. My most favorite part of the night however was our Chef Jordan. He was amazing. Got everyone's orders correct and put on such a show. If I could have gave him a tip, I would have! Food was good. I have been going to Benihana for 40 years. I have brought my children to the Benihana in Buckhead for their birthdays for many years. It was a great place to celebrate and they loved going to the record store across the street afterwards to pick a cassette tape and then a CD. I went to the Alpharetta location when it first opened and was greeted by some of the same people that worked at the Buckhead restaurant. I went to the Alpharetta restaurant with my wife years later and found it to be horrible. We were seated at a table away from most other people and we waited until another couple showed up to be seated before anyone even acknowledged we were there. I realised as our wait dragged on that this facility might be racist towards white people. We were seated by ourselves far away from a couple of other families even though it was not crowded. That feeling only became very obvious when a busboy cleaning up other tables came over to ask if we wanted water. The wait staff was all black and would walk by our table to take someone else's order and not even look our way. I guess Atlanta has made its way out to Alpharetta. It's really sad because I'm from New York and people didn't have a big chip on their shoulder such that they would treat customers this way. Never again. First and last time going to Benihana. We decided to go because of a coupon we had for a BOGO chicken fried rice if you purchase an entree. The coupon was misleading because it ended up just being some chicken thrown into the fried rice with your entree. The cook could definitely use some extra training. WAY too much salt, pepper and butter. I couldn't really taste anything but pepper with my rice. The chicken and steak was not cooked well nor was the quality of the meat. You would think the quality would be a bit better when you are spending $23-$26 just for lunch. I would highly recommend other hibachi locations in the area. Terrible experience overall.0 read more

Benihana was busy in the hibachi section on the night my friend and I came for dinner. We opted to sit in the dining room where we could order both sushi and hibachi. My mother loves hibachi so we surprised her for her birthday. We had an early dinner with 5pm reservations. We were seated on-time, greeted by our lovely server in a timely manner and our hibachi savant and chef du jour was firing up the flat top during the salad course. Everyone was very sweet and accommodating to our young girls and they really enjoyed their first "dinner and a show" experience. The food was on par with expectations of Benihana. Perhaps Benihana is priced on the higher end compared to other big chains in the area, but that pricing includes the 5-6 course hibachi experience. We had a birthday dinner scheduled for 7:30. We were told to have a seat and we would be with you shortly. At 8 o'clock I asked how much longer was expected until we were seated. The hostess simply said I can't give a time and there were 3 parties ahead of you. One of which had been there over an hour. She went on to say they were short staffed and there was nothing that could be done. This is the second such incident I have had at this location. A 1 star is difficult to give however I will not be going back to this location. read more

After 20 minutes I checked and they said there are still two tables ahead of us. I don't have high hopes given that they can't even seat us within grenade range of our scheduled time. (And the fact they sat people who showed up after us before they sat us.) This is absolutely the worse restaurant experience I've ever had. I thought since we were so close it'd be an ok place to take the kids. We get here waited 15 min before any human came out to seat us, then the young waiter gets our order wrong twice. The staff were miserable and it shows in their service...Food was ok then the bill comes and they not only over charge us but manager even refused to correct the mistake. Just an absolutely awful place to pay $ to eat out. I'd recommend sending your worst enemies to ruin their experience out. read more

NOT WORTH MAKING A RESERVATION. We made a reservation for 7:30PM. We were not sat until 8:05 and did not have anyone take our drinks until 8:30, a chef did not come until 9:20. The way everyone was unorganized made our experience a but unpleasant. The pleasant part of our visit was RIGEL the chef and DEIJA the server: they were so patient and kind and the timing of everything was not at all their fault. The restaurant is understaffed and that needs to be brought into managements attention. The food was good and service was amazing. I got the steak entree and Rigel cooked it to perfection, and the blue ocean cocktail was delicious (and dangerous in a good way!). Food was Luke warm. The bar server was nice, but showed no empathy. We told her the soup/ broth was too dark which indicates that there was too much soy sauce in it. I set reservations on November 23rd,2024 for my birthday dinner on December 30th,2024 and they gave me and my family a hard time to be seated and had us waiting for almost 2 1/2 hours with both locations. I had to pay full price after they all caused an inconvenience on us coming from an 1 hour away from home.
