Updated review to 1 star after seeing management's reply to my 2 star review and completing the requested information on the link provided to give my feedback, but never getting a response again, from there. Basically wasting my time to complete their survey with no follow up for discussion. It seems like maybe they reply to the reviews to make it look as if they care, however nothing is done to correct or fix things. Especially based on the multitude of more 1-2 star reviews since I last shared mine. Made reservations for 8p on a Thursday. There was a girl in heels in and shiny stuff dropping the f bomb in front of the children. Not sure why she was upset. The family that came out not long after said something about carding someone. Thats my gossip for the review. Anywho, we had the espresso martini, blue ocean, filet, shrimp, lobster, scallops and chicken. Food wasn't too salty. The vegetables consists of zucchini and onions. I had a reservation at 8pm and called to say we were going to be late. I was told we had a 15 minute grace period. I arrived at 8:12 and sat in line behind a couple which took 3 hosts to help them. When I finally got to the podium at 8:17, I was told that my reservation was canceled and that I had to wait for a table for another 20 minutes with people with no reservations. No apology or anything to make things right- even asked to speak with a manager and he said the call center doesn't communicate with us. Took my daughter and her best friend to dinner here while on Vacation for Valentine's Day weekend. We had so much fun and had a great dining experience. It was both of the girls first time here. Our chef was awesome and the Mickey Mouse fried rice was a hit at the table. The sushi was really good and the steak chicken and calamari was excellent. I have been to many different hibachi restaurants over the years but I was excited to try Benihana on international drive because my wife loves hibachi and it was her birthday. I made a reservation a week in advance, I explained the need for a wheelchair accessible table, and most importantly I requested them to sing for my wife's birthday because we brought the whole family and our one year old son. First of all...They never sang or even acknowledged her birthday until I reminded them at the front desk, and even with all that effort they never sang or did anything for her birthday. While we were waiting the front desk was sitting people with no reservations prior to our party and 20 min after our reservation time. The waiting area was so dirty that we had to stop our one year old from walking around. When we were finally seated the waitress was polite but very very rushed. The restaurant was not even that busy but she was in such a rush that she forgot drink orders, she never asked what side options we wanted, and she was late bringing out the appetizers so we had to juggle a crowded table trying to watch the chef cook while eating our appetizers. She was moving so fast that she spilled half of my wife's hot soup on her lap trying to serve and never realized it to help clean the mess, or get extra napkins. Honestly it was one thing after another and we felt rushed from the moment we sat down. The food was good. The meat quality was good but for the price the portions were very small. I had ordered a $45.00 meal and after the chef was done cooking and showing I was told If I wanted fried rice I had to pay an extra charge of $5.00. The vegetables had no flavor so we had to use salt and extra "yum" sauce to make it taste good. As soon as the chef was done doing his show the waitress once again was rushing around and asked if we needed boxes before we even had time to sit and enjoy any real part of our meal. She did not offer desert or coffee prior to giving us the boxes and bill so so we just gave up, packed our food and left. I will never return to this establishment and for a meal that cost $189.00 we felt so dissatisfied and disappointed leaving there. Who goes to benihana jusf because of the food? I don't think anyone! You go there to celebrate with friends or family, because of the SHOW! last time we went there for dinner was my wife birthday and the service was horrible, they didn't make any tricks, like Crack the egg, hurt pulsing, nothing, just the food as any Chinese. I ordered shrimp and shrimp WEREN'T CLEAN, unbelievable, after I saw stopped eating. So you have to come here knowing what to expect. I give this spot big points for taking reservations for large group and actually seating them in a decent time--albeit not at the time of your reservation. Mine was for 10 ppl at 4pm, & we were seated closer to 4:30pm. That was what we originally wanted to book anyway. Plus, our party was a total of 3 tables of 10. It worked out for us! And you get the classic hibachi foods, smoky room, and fire! I got the Seafood trio (Shrimp, Calamari, & Scallops), Hubby ordered salmon & scallops, daughter got the lobster seafood, & my son got the kid's shrimp with noodles. EVERYTHING was delicious, cooked well, and seasoned just right (not too salty like I've had at a couple of other hibachi grills). I recommend the noodles! Our service, Antonio, was attentive and very helpful. He informed us of what to expect, explained what was all included and what was addition cost, and he was super nice. The sake sangria was yummy. We picked this specific location because it was close to our hotel. The air conditioner was broken so they had a temporary fix going on. It wasn't too hot or too cold in the restaurant. It was full on a Monday night however it was Labor Day. The parking lot is not very big so you may have to circle around and wait on a spot to become available. We waited less than 10 minutes for a table. Our server was polite but wasn't as lively as the other servers. Our chef was awesome and entertaining. There was cross contamination. Lol. I know it's expected at these types of places but when I tell you I was sick after leaving the restaurant within 30 minutes. We usually go to Kobe's but didn't want to drive. I should've drove but laziness got the best of me. Our bill was low for two people at about $115. I can say I won't be back at this location. I'll go back to Kobe. read more

I find it odd that when doing hibachi that you have to pay extra for hibachi rice. This is the ONLY hibachi place I have been where that was an up charge. So minus 1 star for that. Forks should be brought out with the salad and I would like to suggest the option for the ginger dressing or the yum yum sauce for dressing. Soy should be on the table as well. Servers should keep in mind that table space is limited and that it is much appreciated if they would take away the empty glasses and plates. Our server forgot the pan fried gyoza we ordered. My husband did the Chicken Teriyaki and he said that the sauce in it was really good. The shrimp tempura roll was good. The chicken hibachi was also good. The chef did good for his show. I've seen better at Kobé and other establishments. And while I know our server means nothing by it, I don't like being called hun, sweetheart or baby-girl or honey. Not for the scale of class of the establishment. I also over heard other servers calling other guests the same names. There was a server station right behind us and there were many unprofessional conversations happening. Our server did offer complimentary ice cream to my kids. Only one took her up on the offer. The food and drinks were good. The women's restroom was nasty. There are 3 stalls and none of them had toilet paper. The thing of paper towels was on the counter counter by the sink. The trash receptacle by the sink was overflowing and the floor was sticky. Just ewww. Minus a star for that. My husband said the men's restroom was fine. My son said the floor was sticky. The managers should be visiting the tables and interacting with guests. I get that this is a very tourist area, but that shouldn't be a reason to not give and do just a bit better. Terrible, just terrible! I am a huge fan of hibachi dishes these days, but they completely missed the mark and charged an arm and a leg. We took a table in the bar area, otherwise we would have had a 2 hour wait for the show. The bartender was extremely nice, but the cooks were off! We both ordered hibachi shrimp and chicken with fried rice, the fried rice had wayyyyyy to many onions in it, we could smell the onions right away, awful, just awful! I went into this with such high expectations, and almost everything fell flat. The main experience, the cooking, was great. The chef was entertaining and it did not feel like he was just going through the motions. He interacted with us, and that is exactly what you expect from a hibachi restaurant. From there, it was just downhill. The biggest issue was the seasoning, or lack there of. There was too much oil used, and not enough of the basics - salt, pepper, soy...it all fell flat. The only reason that I gave 2 stars is because of the chef. We had a reservation for 7:45. Arrived @ 7:27 & was told that they were running 30 past reservation times Ok cooll.. no worries it happens. We didn't sit down until 8:35, which was after I checked on our status 2x. We finally sat down with a lovely family and that's where it got worse. The waiter took our orders quickly because we had waited for so long. We were supposed to get a 6 course meal, but we never got our soup or salad, nor did he bring the ice cream afterwards. I ordered a drink from the bar that arrived w/sweat on the glass let's me know that it had been sitting. The service was terrible overall. The chef did make it somewhat enjoyable, though the chicken was over cooked and lacked flavor. We visit Orlando often, but I'm not sure if we'll return here again. read more

Food was good, but the service and management is atrocious! First of all, when you enter the restaurant, you are attacked by hosts who want you to sign up for their rewards program. They follow you around the restaurant until you show them your confirmation, including multiple trips to the table. Then the server came over to give an opening sales pitch similar to a time share presentation. We were at the table for exactly an hour before we ordered our food. The chef, Phinom was great. He even got involved when we couldn't get drinks or rice from our server. After the meal that we had no drinks and no rice for, it took 45 minutes to get a check and they told us that they could only use one coupon per table, the coupons they hounded us down for on the way in. The party next to us asked for a manager and he just came over and started arguing with them. It was obvious why this restaurant is running the way it is. The server was terrible but management was just as bad. They need leadership that knows what they're doing. For the price, there are so many options in this area that are better. There are even better Benihanas. Stay away from Orlando 2! read more

She forgot several of the orders placed & sadly had to be reminded more than twice. She was nice but wasn't really present for service of refills, extra napkins, and etc. besides that, this is a busy Benihana location and we had about a 15mins wait. Parking was limited considering the busy location. Our Chef Tinhn - was pretty good. He messed up on a couple of tricks, which was pretty funny and quite entertaining. Do not go!! - after a serious lapse not once but multiple times on a food allergy that the restaurant stated they could handle and assured us they could, they failed. This dates back to September of 2024, a promised in-writing resolution by the so-called "Safety Team" in December of 2024 within 10-15 days and still to date (2-19-25) no resolution sent, and now they delete posts, do not respond, and are essentially ghosting their promise and the resolution. This place is not reputable and needs to be boycotted. Do not go they do not take things seriously especially food safety. read more

This Benihana location is amazing. Our waitress was the sweetest. I wish I remembered her name but she had glasses and dark hair. Beautiful woman but so so so sweet! And so attentive. Coming from California, I can't say much about Benihana but because we had an amazing experience here, I had to leave a review. Our chef Kienzo San (sorry if I got his name wrong) is the best chef I have every experienced teppanyaki. He has great energy and keeps everyone engaged including my two children 5 and 6. We couldn't stop laughing and the food was cooked perfectly. We ordered a wide range of food including filet mignon, scallops, chicken, and fried rice. We were so impressed. Request him as your chef if you ever come to this location. His been there for almost a decade and is one of the best chefs at Benihana. You won't be disappointed!! read more

First off i made reservations at 7:30 we didn't get seated until 8:30 Our server was great at first but at the end forget about it. No refills my daughter was waiting for them to sing happy bday. My family and I went to this Benihana location to celebrate a birthday and use a $30 discount emailed to me from Benihana, which we thought was great. Our hibachi chef Dan was really good and the food was fine. Then the problems started. I tried to redeem the $30 birthday voucher and it didn't work. The manager Tom looked at it and said I had to wait 30 days before redeeming it? What? @Benihana why in the world would you send a birthday voucher than cannot be used in the person's birthday month? Tom was wrong and didn't give a damn really. Then our waitress screwed up the bill and tried to double charge our entire order for five people. We then had to wait even longer to get that issue resolved. They were busy, which is why I made a reservation and still waited 30 minutes after our reservation time before being seated. Just a terrible end to what should have been a fun birthday dinner with family. We could not have had a better meal or experience here. I will be honest and say, I was scared after reading some of the recent reviews. We were seated basically on time with little wait for service. Antonio, was an amazing server and kept our drinks full and always had a smile as he came by to check on us. The chef, Joseph, did a great job. The chateaubriand was EXCELLENT- like best hibachi dinner ever. The seafood combo was also delicious. There's dust everywhere - thick layers on the walls and fixtures. The bathroom smelled like sewage and one of the stall doors was on it's last hinge (literally holding onto dear life with the bottom hinge). The food is subpar especially compared to the big chain competitor, Kobe's. You can't make any substitution and there were up charges for simple things like the kind of rice you want. I found the ginger dressing to be very salty and my teriyaki chicken to have no flavor. I was trying to drown it in the white yum yum sauce, but I just couldn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to. What an awful experience tonight. It's been six years since we've visited Orlando and I wanted to recreate the experience we first had at Benihana for my kids. $428 later for our 6 top, I'm regretting stepping back to their ridiculous location. I made a reservation a month ago for 6 at 7:30 to arrive early and wait 40 minutes for our table. It's almost as if reservations are "call ahead" seating. I asked for the full menu since it should be provided upon request. I was told that everything available is on the weekend menu only. That should've been red flag number one. Here's where I really have an issue. It's been 6 years since we've been here as I mentioned. When we placed our orders we were given the option of either steamed rice, fried rice or noodles. There's zero mention of a $6.40 up charge for fried rice. Which is also not prorated for kids meals, so I get the bill and I'm shocked by this additional $38.40 for fried rice. Ok sure I should've known, I've been here before. Here's where I lost it. The waiter, who mind you has had to barely do anything and was constantly reminded to get items, told me it was my fault I couldn't hear when he said there's an up charge. I then went to a manager, who probably gets this a couple of times a night, he was even worse. "What are we to do for you not hearing?" As a father of a deaf child, that really irked me and is completely unprofessional. The waiter never said it, the manager doesn't care, I'm just a few more dollars in the pockets. Couple other highlights: be cautious of the mobile credit card processing. The gratuity is automatically set at 18% with options for 20% & 22%, the custom setting is hidden. The second table from the left of the main doors is extremely dirty and broken, allowing you to see all the built up grease over the years. This place is a gold mine and honestly not worth spending a dime at. I was really looking forward to treating my family to a fun dinner to kick off our vacation, but this has left a sour taste in my mouth.
