Definitely made sure we enjoyed our food and were taken good care of. One of my family members had to catch a flight and leave early and she was about to cancel her order and they made sure to make her food was cook to perfection and that she was able to get to the airport. Edwin was very professional and made sure our drinks and put a lot of work into his service. Please make sure to get him, you will not regret it. Unfortunately the experience here is waiting 45 minutes for your reserved tables for 20 to be sat and offered a drink. Decent drinks and food quality was eventually delivered. But the chef didn't do any tricks or glare beyond the onion volcano. The least impressive "hibachi show" I've ever been too. David was like a Chinese chef at your local food court just getting food on table. Sauces were average at best. The filet and prickly pear margarita were the definite highlights. The dirty floors, trashed bathrooms, hot dining room, and crowded table w no dish clearing or water refills without asking repeatedly prevented my enjoyment of it. And then the bill came. I haven't been to a restaurant of this type in years. We came as a party of 4, with a reservation and were seated with 2 other couples. The only thing I didn't like was that we were seated 4 in a row, so we couldn't really talk to the others in our party. Our server, Chris, was full of personality and made our experience fun. The menu is one you have to pull up on your phone, which I find hard to use. I truly like looking at a whole menu and making the right decision for me. In the end, I chose the Emperor's Choice which was chicken and filet mignon. Entrees are served with soup, salad, and shrimp appetizer and I upgraded to fried rice. Our chef was fun and cooked everything in front of us with a splash! There was a woman at our table that had a seafood allergy, so he had to cook things out of order, which wasn't quite fair to all of us, but he couldn't cook our seafood on the griddle and then cook her chicken. The soup, which is basically broth, was excellent. The salad was ok with a nice ginger dressing. Next came our fried rice, which was weird before our appetizer, but it was super yummy. I think the secret ingredient was the garlic butter. The shrimp appetizer was very good and they gave you yum yum sauce and ginger sauce for dipping. My chicken came next and was ok, but was a little over cooked and dry. Soaking it in yum yum sauce really helped it along. Ordered online for my family and it said ready in 30 mins. Don't fall for it. They lie and tell you that, but in reality you sit there waiting more than an hour for your to go order and your family goes hungry. We had a birthday reservation for 19 ppl at 8:30, when we got there they told us another 35 mins. Fine. We waited for 30 mins and asked if we we were close to being seated.... They told us another 45 mins to an hour... we call another Benihana they was close and they said they could get of in at 9:20. We rushed over there in traffic with 3 vehicles. 1 vehicle was slower with older members of the party and they said they could seat us til all members were here. So by the time they had there walkers on the long walk up. They told us that they have 2 party ahead of us... and it was another 45 min wait...! Horrible experience. It was my birthday and my partner (Eric) and I decided to come here instead of Kobes in hope that the price would be indicative of a better experience. We arrived at 7pm. Strike 1. We had reservations for 7:15pm. We waited 30 minutes before we were seated. Strike 2. Where the hot plate and the table meet by where the chef cooks there was a separation (food could get trapped and looks unsanitary). I looked at the menu and ordered a HAIKU COLADA and instead was given a Mango colada. Which was good but not what I asked for. Strike 3. Staff broke a bowl (Stuff happens) However, in an attempt to clean the hot plate- hot steam was pushed into guest faces. Strike 4. We didnt have a chef for our table. The staff that seated us asked if we wanted an appetizer, but everyone at the table just wanted another drink while we waited. (Assuming this could be compensated instead of an appetizer, as we were expecting to be full anyways). This time I asked for garnishes for my drink (as shown in picture). We finally got a chef at 8:30pm. The chef arrived but there was still glass shards on the plate. MAJOR DIFFERENCE between Kobes and Benihana - NOODLES ARE NOT INCLUDED. This is one of the main reasons we wanted Hibachi- Eric had to order them on the side. As we are watching the food get cooked someone finds something black inside her ice For the hibachi vegetables that come with the meal there was only zucchini and onions. I ordered the Land N' Sea- scallops were small and weren't many. That is one of there specialty meals that was suppose to include green tea (Never got) and Ice cream. The staff made it seem like we was given Ice cream for a birthday treat, but it was part of the meal. Also Strike 5. Ice cream arrived melted for all 3 people that were celebrating their birthday. Eric's noodles arrived at the same time . Also the bathrooms were gross, staff just put toilet paper at the back of the toilet instead of just restocking the holder and there is no hook for your bag. I've heard of Benihana ever since I was a little girl in California but never have been. Finally got to try the international drive location and so happy we came at the time we did. Highly recommend coming early if you can like we did at 5:30pm, because by the time we left, there was a long wait to be seated. We loved the service and especially our chef for the night was Joseph, who is really personable and easy to talk with. Our 18 month old daughter really loved the show that he put on. She stood back a little bit after seeing the, flaming onion volcano, but didn't cry. The food was delicious and I highly recommend doing the hibachi chicken or steak. Atmosphere - Very good. The restaurant was nicely decorated and welcoming. Service - Very Good. Both our server and our table side chef were very attentive and friendly. The one annoying part of the experience was that we had to use our phone to view the menu options. The layout of the system was a bit confusing. Food - Very Good. I ordered the Emperor's Feast (hibachi beef filet, shrimp and chicken) with grilled vegetables and fried rice. It came with soup (mostly broth, but tasty), salad (great ginger dressing) and a shrimp appetizer (very tasty). The proteins were all cooked perfectly and the filet mignon was very tender. The vegetables were also prepared perfectly and tasted very good. My one disappointment involved the fried rice. A person assigned to our table was allergic to seafood. The first thing that the chef prepared was the fried rice. He then prepared the protein for the person with the allergy. As a result, our rice was barely warm by the time everyone else's meal was prepared. Overall Value - Very Good. Teppen grill is always a good choice for a traveling family. Entertainment while eating? Great! That being said, I can cook everything that they serve at Benihana. With a lot less salt. We arrived on time for our reservation. We were seated about 30 minutes later. We put in our orders for drinks and food, and everything came out fairly quickly. Our waitress seemed a little tired and impatient, but I can only imagine that being a waitress at a crowded Benihana is an exhausting job. I had the sparkling sake. It was okay, not quite as cold as I'd like, and a little too sweet. But a lot of sparkling sakes are very sweet. I ordered the hibachi salmon. It came with shiitake mushrooms and asparagus as well as udon noodles. It also came with everything else that usually come with meals: salad, soup, rice, shrimp appetizer and veggies. It was a LOT of food. It was all fine. The salmon got a nice crust from the grill, and the inside was only a little overcooked (I really should have gone with medium rare rather than medium). The shiitake mushrooms and asparagus also good a nice char from the grill. Our cook was Manny, and he was very pleasant and happy to talk with my curious 7 year old. We go to a lot of teppenyaki grills when we travel because the kids love it. Benihana is usually solid. When I say this was a hard meal to get through it was so hard!!! Our server sucked!!!! He was not attentive and neither was the manager after we made a point to speak with him early in the meal. I really wanted to visit Benihana during our travels and made it a priority for my group to eat at Benihanas. We were able to get a reservation for our group of 7. We arrived and got sat pretty quickly. Then things turned for the worst. Our server didn't come over to our table yet until about 20 minutes after we were seated. He took our drink order and then told us he had to buss a table. 15 minutes later we get our our drinks. 15 minutes after that he came back and took our order. At this point 2 other tables had been seated and the chef was at their table cooking. At this point we politely asked for the manager. We expressed our concerns and we're told he would check back with us. The wait continued!!! Another table was sat and their server and chef was helping them before we got our chef cooking for us. That's 3 table sat and eating that were seated after us. It got so bad that all the kids at our table fell asleep waiting. Now contrary to the server the chef was great. He cooked everything perfectly. We had a member of our party that had a shellfish allergy and he cooked all the shrimp last. The filet and lobster we ordered was cooked so well that it melted in your mouth. At the end of the meal we ended packing most of the food up and taking it with us. The manager never came back to check on us and when we wanted to tip the chef personally it was a high deal and we had to go through 3/4 other ppl before he was located. Overall that was the best filet mignon I've had at a hibachi restaurant ever however the service sucked so bad I will never come back to this location. I know the Yelp ratings were low but I chose to give them a try and I hate to say it they live up to those low ratings. I booked this popular spot for a friend's birthday. The restaurant was very busy, so I was glad I had made a reservation. We were seated with a very nice family at a Teppanyaki table and looking forward to a geat meal. We ordered a chicken rice upgrade with Filet, Collasal Shrimp and Cold Water Lobster. The food was very underwhelming. The rice a bit undercooked with crunchy pieces and overall we all felt flavor was missing. You shouldn't need extra yum yum sauce to make things taste great. The shrimp was pretty good, however the lobster was fishy tasting and no one wanted to eat it. I will probbably never go here again. Almost $200.00 dollars for 3 people just wasn't worth it. Had a reservation for 8pm to celebrate my birthday ... I checked in at 7:55pm and was seated at 8:15pm. They crammed ELEVEN adults to one hibachi grill which was way overcrowded. The restaurant was dirty, the restrooms were in disrepair, the staff were rude/uncaring, and the atmosphere was loud. I was disappointed there was no photo or green tea offered with the meal either. The table next to us had screaming children running around and through our table area and the restaurant staff and parents did nothing about it. We got drinks about 30 mins in, followed shortly by soup and salad. No one ordered any apps at our table but the server had to come back and offer everyone a second round of soup and salad because they still had no chef for our table. Over an hour later, we finally got a chef. He immediately went to confirm our orders and everything was wrong. My order was completely wrong (I ordered steak medium rare and lobster and he tried confirmed steak medium well and shrimp) and he told me that he couldn't fix it and I would have to settle for steak and shrimp. I flagged the waitress down and she said she could fix it. When it came to cooking, our chef was incredibly slow and did not season things properly. Everything was overseasoned and I have never had a hibachi chef that adds sesame seed to everything (the rice, veggies, and all meats) - everything got the exact same seasoning aside from the chicken, shrimp, and lobster which also got lemon. It was a very one-note meal. My dining partner who order his steak the same as me, got a beautiful medium rare but all he could taste was salt and pepper. Mine on the other hand was medium well and tasted only of pepper due to the over seasoning. Another strike out. The chef saved my lobster for last and actually walked away from our grill to get more lemon which unfortunately resulted in a very overcooked lobster. Such a shame. It took another 30 minutes for ice cream desserts to come out, which were dropped on the floor promptly upon arrival. Ages later, we finally got our checks ... the server was incredibly apologetic, but that doesn't change what an awful experience this was. We left at 11:30pm. It shouldn't take 3+ hours to eat here or anywhere for that matter. What a disappointing waste of time and money. Monday evening we made a resveration for a party of 8. Everything was booked. We arrived at the location we called, once in there. The hostess mentioned: "We are backed up as it is, you're better off going to the other location." As a customer I failed in asking her, her name. (Short female with long black hair. I think this place is a 3.5 stars. I loved Benihana's when I lived in Alaska and it was my first hibachi dining experience that set the standard for anything hibachi moving forward. It's been years since I've been to a Benihana, so my family and I chose to reunite. This place is very busy, we barely got a reservation, but it's understandable given the location. It was packed and The inside was not as clean as it should be. There was trash on the floor and the bathrooms needed to be attended to. The customer service was great and our cook (Elliot) was engaging and very friendly. The prices are expensive. They charge for fried rice if you don't want the white rice that comes with each meal. I did get an expensive meal (Ocean Treasure) and I was slightly disappointed in the 4 jumbo shrimp they give, and few scallops that all get chopped up to appear to be more. Something seems wrong about chopping up seafood. Lol My husband got the filet mignon and enjoyed his meal. Kids meals are way overly priced, in my opinion. My daughters hibachi steak dinner was about $15, not including friend rice and she had the cheapest, flattest steak I've ever seen. They were running about 45 mins behind on reservations when I arrived (not too too bad.) but once seated we again waited at least 30 minutes with no soup/salad or drinks. We sat at a booth with the four in our party and two other couples, in a very tight booth and could barely move smh. The food was also very tight on the table there was no space for anything. It barely had for room for everyone's cups and plates. And the food itself was not that great. And very expensive. Extra for fried rice. The salad was terrible too much ginger. We have been to (4) different hibachi places in Central Florida and this one was our least favorite. Initial impression was not great....a temporary air conditioning unit was set up outside and pumped cooled air into the building via large diameter tubing. Draped across the rafters were layers of plastic (I assume) to catch the condensation from falling onto patrons. The unit seemed to be pretty loud. Our chef seemed to cook in an unusual order compared to any other hibachi place I have been to. The veggies were the last items cooked and were served after our meats. They seemed to be understaffed as well. Our server had (3) tables each with at least 2 separate parties and a total of at least 32 people. We had to wait an extended amount of time to (finally) get the white rice which we ordered. The prices here are about 25% more than other area hibachi places but you get about 20% less food. Though I did like that the chef used salt and pepper almost exclusively, the food overall falls short of other places we have been to. read more

It's a hibachi restaurant, so if you're looking for quiet and calm, this is not for you. The hibachi food was decent, but it certainly was not the best we've had. It wasn't very flavorful--I added ginger dipping sauce to everything. But, it was decent--no complaints. Our chef was pretty quiet for a hibachi chef, so if you're looking for an entertaining chef, this also may not be your best choice. The complaints start here: We made a 7pm reservation. We arrived a few minutes before 7, but were not seated until a little after 8. The chef did not even start cooking until 8:50 pm. The restaurant has a dress code that they post clearly on their site and on a sign next to the hostess stand. When I read the dress code, I made sure we all had on proper shoes and clothes. (Nothing ripped, nothing too revealing, and no flip flops.) I made sure my son changed his shoes and I had to wear sneakers instead of my pretty flip flops. In the past, we've been asked to leave restaurants because of a flip flop rule, so I didn't want to take the chance. Needless to say, management obviously does not enforce the dress code, which is not a big deal but since we were forced to sit for so long, I was hangry and really bothered by this as many people had on ripped clothes, one was wrapped in a ratty blanket and others were just not appropriately dressed. When we were finally brought to our table, I sat the two kids to my left because I'm deaf in my right ear. A couple was seated last. The hostess then asked us to switch the kids with the couple so they "would feel more comfortable." I still do not understand why we had to move--everyone knows you will sit next to strangers at hibachi and they were sitting next to each other. It made no sense and it resulted in me not being able to hear the people in my party. My biggest complaint: one of the kids in our party has an egg allergy. They told us they would cook her meal first. They did not. They served us soup and salad (not part of her meal) and then cooked and served the fried rice which had eggs in it. Now more than two hours passed our reservation time, she has not had anything to eat! I asked the manager if they could just cook something in the kitchen for her, but the chef insisted he cook for her there. He had to go wash his utensils because of the eggs, and then finally (as most were finishing up their rice) she got her first bite of food.
