    To go chicken fried rice

We stopped by Benihana on International Drive for the Power Hour lunch, and it definitely lived up to its name. Our food was served in about 45 minutes, making it a great option when you're short on time but still want the full hibachi experience. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit, and the food was delicious. My favorite was the filet mignon with the spicy teriyaki sauce. I'll definitely be ordering that again. If you're looking for a quick, satisfying lunch in Orlando, this location is worth a visit.

Absolutely delicious! Love their poke bowls! Service is excellent and the ambiance is great!

You know what's crazy is I've lived in Orlando for eight years and did not know that we had a Benihana. The last time I went to one I was in Chicago. Anyway, we drove across town to have dinner with my girl that's visiting us from the Navy because she wanted hibachi. I will say the staff are extremely nice and a tentative to your needs and wants however, for the price you pay I would've expected more than what we received. For the three of us we spent $259. My daughter and I both ordered the steak hibachi. My wife ordered the chicken hibachi. I ordered an extra egg and a cider shrimp with a Coke that our lighter found out cost me five dollars which I don't know they just seems high. It's a guy cooking had no personality, but the food wasn't horrible. My steak I asked medium was very chewy. The only good thing we had that my wife, daughter and me agreed on was the rice and the mushrooms and shrimp. The chicken and steak both were chewy. I don't know. It was kind of a letdown.P

We move Benihana and will keep coming back! The food is always delicious and the drinks are top notch. It's expensive, but you get what you pay for. I love the land and sea - the filet is cooked to your liking at the grill and the scallops always melt in your mouth. We never skip out on upgrading to chicken fried rice. Chef Poly was outstanding!

My friend and I came here for her birthday and I can honestly say the delivery service I had was much better than the in-person experience. Even with a reservation, the restaurant was running behind and unable to let us know how long the wait would be--we opted to forgo the actual hibachi experience and sat at a regular table instead. Fair warning if you're coming here on the weekend, the "waiting area" extends from a packed indoor area all the way outside which made it super hard to maneuver and staff did not attempt to direct any of the waiting traffic to prevent people from cutting each other in the line causing some tensions between guests. Although our server was nice, after serving us he disappeared and began restocking the bar and chatting with his coworkers. We literally tried waving him down for half an hour when we were ready to leave, even another family sitting at the bar noticed us doing this and they also tried getting his attention, which still was ineffective. He eventually came to our table and was able to help us settle the check. Overall, for the price the food was very mediocre and honestly based on the service experience I would recommend people go to Kobe instead as you would get much better service and better portion sizes for what you pay for at Benihana.

Took my honey to Benihana's for Veterans Day. Thank you to Benihana's for running one of the best veteran thank you's across all businesses. A true honor to those who served. He had teppanyaki chicken and I had shrimp with fried rice. We also had spicy dumplings. The food presentation was fun. The food and flavor was just ok. But the service was phenomenal. Super friendly, attentive and helpful. The restaurant was clean, trendy and gave a cool vibe. I'll be back.

I'm a big fan of Teppanyaki restaurants, and usually I am fine with the Benihana version of this experience, but this visit was a struggle. For a very large dining room, they have an extremely small parking lot that is overcrowded with tourists from the local hotels and international drive area. When I arrive, I was given an hours wait, but it actually took two hours and change to be sat, and I left the restaurant about 4 1/2 hours after I entered. The bar area was hopping, with lots of action, and not enough bartenders to cover. Meanwhile, when I got to the table, this is the only location I have visited that overstuffed the table with 12 people, causing every bit of the interaction to run long (and this is not to say anything of the excellent service from our server and chef, it is an institutional problem). As I noted above, the food is still great, even for being overpriced, and perhaps the biggest thing I can say is that reservations are absolutely required here and to pack your patience.

Yummy what a great treat for all the hibachi lovers out there ! The only down part is this location stays packed and the wait time is usually over an hour! If you have patience, the food is worth the way and the cook puts on a great show!

Came here for a friends birthday celebration, we chose to sit in the lounge area for the $39.00 dinner deal as it was only good in the bar lounge area. The service was good they came up to us within 5 minutes of us sitting down, he took out drink order first then the appetizer selection. The soup and salad they forgot to bring us but gave it to us at the end. I got the hibachi steak medium but he had entered it medium well which wasn't a big deal, I felt like the portion of the steak we had gotten less then if we had sat at the hibachi grill. I would go back for the happy hour or if friends wanted to go.

Since when do you have to pay extra for fried rice? It has always came with the meal. I've never seen that before in all the years I've ate here. It used to cost half the money on most of their meals as well...sadly I won't be back. Bye Benihana! We came super early were sat right behind the hostess...plenty of other tables in there. Not the best ambiance. The food was ok, service was ok. But those prices are crazy high...especially when there are other places just like it with better deals.

However, my husband and kids LOVE going to teppenyaki, so I humor them periodically. I made reservations on OpenTable for 6 people. We all arrived on time, but we ended up waiting about 15 minutes for our table. Service was quick to take initial drink orders, order food, bring food, and bring the check. But they don't really come back for a second round of drink orders. So don't count on being able to order more things after your first round. The food was fine. Kobe offers both noodles and fried rice as standard, rather than one or the other, so if you love carbs, this place is for you. I ordered the sirloin and shrimp duo, and I thought the sirloin was a little bland. The shrimp was fine, not great, but my expectations were not high. Also, they only offered the yum yum dipping sauce. I would have preferred the ginger sauce that many other teppen grills offer. Our chef was fine. For whatever reason, he was big on setting big fires that really heated up the area. I thought it was a little excessive and would have preferred a show with more fancy knifework, but the kids were entertained. One of our friends ordered sushi. I didn't partake, but she seemed to enjoy it. The drink menu was slightly more affordable than Benihana's. My husband loves the Kobe rice lager that is only available at Kobe restaurants, and there is a decent selection of cold sake. My kids love the multiple Ramune flavor options and mocktails.

On one of Orlando's hottest days this year, we chose EPCOT. As the heat began to break down our party's will to live, we began to think of lunch. But what to have in this theme park filled with culinary delights? The British Pub was booked out. German sausages and American barbeque were too heavy for the weather. As the heat began to turn tired and hungry into exhausted and hangry, we took the next opportunity we happened upon and inquired at the check-in desk in Japan. Moments later, we were whisked down a long hallway of sub-divided Japanese shoji-clad (but probably not really) rooms and seated for our lunch. The polite and attentive staff took drink and appetizer orders. After quickly consuming ice-cold water and a few sips of the always-delightful Sapporo, we were presented with ginger-dressed salads and my takoyaki appetizer. Now just let me take a moment. Takoyaki is octopus dumpling. I first came upon this amazing food while living in Hawaii and I was so excited to see it on this menu. And it totally holds up! Don't recoil at the idea of eating octopus. I've had straight-up grilled octopus before, and it's quite delicious, but in dumpling form with its crispy outer bread crust and creamy filling, it is MAGICAL. If I had one criticism, it's that there's not a lot of octopus in each dumpling, maybe a small piece or two. What I do wonder is whether that's a cost-savings approach, or if it's meant to broaden the appeal for the adventurous eater to proudly proclaim their brave love of octopus. Either way, a bit more octopus would be welcome! Around this same time our chef entered and began to prepare the main meal, starting with delicious grilled vegetables and udon noodles. After a hot day in the park, the freshly-cooked veg was hugely restorative (as was the aforementioned salad). Most of our party ordered the steak and chicken combo, which was an enormous amount of food, with probably 3/4 of a pound of meat. It's a lot of food. And, of course, super delicious. Our chef was fun and lively, though I don't really care much for the showy aspect of American teppanyaki (I researched this once and learned that teppan in Japan is a very serious, formal meal. I'm not surprised to learn the American interpretation is nowhere near authentic). Desserts are offered, comprising multiple matcha choices which we didn't indulge, due to the volume of food in the preceding courses. This is not an inexpensive experience. But fresh-cooked real food in a theme park is hard to come by, and taking the time to experience an actual meal over the course of an hour or two was a much-needed break. I would also suggest that, taking my logic one step further, investing in a restful meal may actually encourage you to spend more time in the park than you might otherwise, perhaps improving its overall value.
