I don't understand why people love this place, I've always had questionable to bad service, like you gotta be in the cool kids club to get the good service. I've been here 4-5 times. The parking's beyond terrible. The music's much too loud, the lighting is terrible and it's either freezing or blazing hot. Why bother having a sign that says to sit where your want if the server's gonna move you, after you've settled in? The pizza's pretty good, but not good enough. You don't get enough for the price, not even close. You have to love IPAs or wine (over priced wine) to drink anything here as well. Can we get a beer list? You rattle off what you have at Mach 10 and I'm supposed to choose? Forget it, I'll have a Pepsi. I think it's the hipster factor that keeps people coming back. I don't get it. You will be foolish not to order Beer Buddies. It's their best thing! They are perfectly fluffy, buttery, parmesan crusted, mini-roll-happinesses that are made in bread heaven. Attention lovers of garlic-- order the Manito Pizza. There are TV's if you need to catch some sport ball, there is an outdoor seating area with heat lamps, and they have a few highchairs for the kiddos. It's not perfect, but it's pretty great. Just like Spokane. Insider tip: You can get raw dough balls to-go for a culinary short cut (Grilled pizza anyone?) Also, they have calzones, hot sandwiches, salads, etc. They do offer delivery as well if you want to really impress your people. Or if you have a beer buddy crisis and need them NOW. Bennidito's is like that boyfriend or girlfriend that you think has potential, and you keep giving them chances to prove themselves - chances that they use to totally crap on your expectations. Most of the time, it is the ridiculously uneven service. Not that the servers bear any responsibility for this - every one of them, to a man or woman, works their behinds off to cover for the remarkable inefficiency of the kitchen staff, who appear to continuously wrestle with the idea that they are in food service and that customers may occasionally have other things to do with their evenings. Sometimes, you happen upon the equivalent of a unicorn tear - that perfect moment when the kitchen staff appears to grasp their true purpose and the wait staff is provided with the opportunity to provide you with the service they are capable of. But more often than not, if it is not the service, it is the food that lets you down. All the fantastic sauce in the world (and it is fantastic sauce) cannot make up for dessicated rocks of dough covered with far too toppings for far too much money. Tonight, after waiting for an hour for two pizzas and some beer buddies, we were presented with two pizzas - a cheese cooked perfectly, and a Margertia that resembled a fallen asteroid. Unfortunately, we only discovered the latter when we arrived back at home, at which point I was too bitter to go back. No pizza chef with any respect of their craft would have let a pizza so dried out and burned up out of the kitchen, much less boxed up and charged to a customer for $18.99. It communicates a palatable lack of concern for craft and for the people who sustain it - something I expect when you are charging $20 or more for your average large pie. I have completely given up on trusting Bennedito's. It's a shame - they are part of the South Hill, and I live minutes from them. There are few things more enjoyable than walking to a place with pizza and beer on a deck in a Spokane summer evening. But they do not give a crap about service or quality, and I have reached my trust quota. Bennedito's long ago convinced me that they did not care about service (again, through no fault of the servers). They have now convinced me that they do not particularly care about pizza either. I will defer to others, like Lalo's, Perry Street, and the estimable Flying Goat. I would far rather drive a half-hour to TFG and know that my pizza will emerge with care and concern than save the gas and be shit on again by Bennedito's. read more

I usually order pizza from Dominos, because they have really good pizza since they changed their menu. I tried Benniditos recently, but I am sorry that I did. I really did not like the pizza that I got, and neither did my roommate (who got the leftovers). Besides that, it felt like it was run by a bunch of teenagers and they didn't really care if I got my pizza on time or not. I had to go up and ask for my drink. I'd rather just go with Dominos. I didn't want to cook tonight and didn't want leftovers, so I took to the Benneditos website to order. I custom ordered my favorite toppings, pre-tipped $5 for the delivery driver and paid. About 30 min later, the pizza arrived while I was putting our son down to sleep. A minute or so later, my grumbling stomach and I went in to the kitchen. Husband opened the box...not our pizza. (My husband didn't order it and didn't know.) We instantly called to alert them to the mistake. The staff member didn't seem to know what to do; wouldn't call the driver to have them turn around, tried to talk us in to keeping the incorrect order and reluctantly said we should keep that but another would be sent out. 50 minutes later, our replacement pizza had still not arrived, so we called again. She said "the driver just left." 35 minutes after THAT, we called again and she said "he must have gone to a different house first." Still. No. Pizza. "I don't know what to tell you." 40 minutes after that...STILL NO PIZZA. My husband drove the incorrect pizza down to the location (just over a mile away, so really, why so hard?!) and requested a refund. He was informed while there that "the driver just left." Sorry, but we kinda doubt it. The charge was cancelled (hopefully, but I'll believe it when I see it). So now we have no pizza and are scrounging leftovers when we were supposed to have a delicious hot pizza for dinner. This was such an epically disastrous experience when it should have been so simple, I can't imagine ordering from here again. This place is down home food. The atmosphere is welcoming and inviting! Their pizza is unrivaled and their beer buddies to die for! All their food is incredible, to say the least. Whether they know you or not, you're family. Great local place with charm and charisma oozing out! Salads are top notch, great sports on the tvs, a variety of beers on tap that is ever changing can't beat it. Full disclosure, I worked for Chris at Bennidito's for three years back in the late 90's. I just retured to Spokane for the first time in 10 years and have been craving a slice since. When I left there were three stool to eat at and it was allways hot, due to the 650 deree oven. Now this place has expanded into a 50+ seat pizzeria with killer local beers. I had a slice of cheese and my girlfriend and I shared a Pizzano. Everything was just as tasty as I remember. Whole cloves of roasted garlic and huge chunks of melted goat cheese. Since I left I have only had one pizza experince that matched Bennidito's and that was at Ben's Pizza in Manhattan. I hope everyone can have a slice of cheese pizza here before they die. read more

Opened this yelp account while waiting the half hour+ for a calzone. Waiter acted pissed that we wanted takeout and was rude. I split a 15 inch pizza with a friend for our RHOFB viewing party. We had the chicken garden primo, which had: chicken, sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms, tomatoes, and mozzarella over a garlic and tomato sauce. It's huge, very garlicy, and the chicken was dry and tasteless, and relatively expensive. This place wasn't bad, I've just had better. Service when we picked up wasn't stellar either. When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore. Bennidito's is the place for a bucket of beers and some really good Za. The unpretentious and laid back style can sometimes result in inattentive service, but all is forgiven when the the thin crust perfectly baked pizza arrives. Bennidito's has some grown-up and gourmet combinations, along with the usual pizza offerings. The calzones are fantastic as well. But the sandwiches are not my favorite. Great pizza, no doubt. But as a mom with kids in tow and with a husband who likes to talk to me - we find the tables too damn crowding, and it so loud we can't hear each other. If you're looking to talk to your dinner partner, this isn't the best place to go. Definately no soft, complex dialogues taking place here - not a good "first date" place. We find ourselves yelling at each other, when we visit Bennidiot's its so loud during the dinner hour, but yeah - the pizza is great, we love it. I like to converse - so we find ourselves saying "nah, its too loud and crowded there.." and choose somewhere else. We go out to eat for more than "food reasons" and Bennidito fails on meeting the "non-food" eating out needs. We love their Growlers - large glass bottles of hop-brew to go. After too many bad experiences a review is in order. Apparently stated hours of operation don't mean a thing to these people. Several times now we have attempted to call in an order WELL before closing hours and they will not deliver or seem annoyed when you ask about delivery. Tonight we called at 8, Randy decided not only were they not going to deliver but it was too late for a take out order. When we attempted to explain that this seems to be the case very time we call he hung up on us. Yup. Pizza is not bad here but the service is worse than ever. I ordered the family size antipasto- great portion size and awesome taste. The dressing came on the side and was more than enough. We also had a large pizza- which the dough needs to be improved. I didn't eat the pizza, I asked how it was and the responses were not too enthusiastic. The cheesy garlic bread we were told didn't come with sauce and so we paid 1.50 extra for a small cup of marinara. Which were surprised to see two small cups of sauce when we picked our order up at the restaurant. The pizza was okay- it could have used more toppings as some parts were mostly crust. If your a pizza place- I'd at least make sure the pizza was a little more special especially since there are so many options in that category. I'd order the antipasto again for sure. The Greek salad although was very tasty and the addition of the roasted red peppers was great and the dressing has a nice sweet tang the salad lacks some of the items of a real Greek salad. Bennidito's Pizza in Spokane has a cool vibe, and I would describe it as a cross between a trendy pizza place and a sports bar. It has a fun atmosphere inside, and I think it would be even better to dine there during good weather because they even have a nice patio outside. One thing that definitely helped my impression of Bennidito's was their selection of local beers on tap as well as wine, and their pizza further solidified my positive thoughts on them. I ordered their Maui Wowie pizza without pineapple, because pineapple simply doesn't belong on pizza. So, my iteration of their Maui Wowie pizza had mozzarella and fontina cheese, prosciutto ham, and pancetta bacon. The cheese was rich and creamy, thanks to the fontina I believe, and the meats were excellent. The crust ranged from crispy to puffy on different parts of the pizza, and I found it to be a little dry. Still, I really liked Bennidito's Pizza and would rank it just behind The Flying Goat as my favorite pizza place in Spokane. read more

We ordered a half and half LC Primo and the original pesto pizza tonight and they had so much garlic smothered all over them that they were basically inedible. We both choked down a few slices and are now feeling ill with garlic seeping out of our pores. I know it says that there is garlic sauce on the pizzas, but my husband I both like garlic and were expecting a reasonable amount. Instead we feel like we just ate straight garlic for dinner. If you order a large pizza here, expect it to be HUGE! Bigger than any XL pizza we've had in Seattle! The cheese pizza is amazing! Perfectly cooked crust, delicious sauce and the perfect amount of good quality mozzarella. The beer buddies were something we had to try, the pesto ranch dipping sauce it comes with was worth the order We have sat inside (too crowded and loud for our taste) and have ordered pick up. I've read several reports of the staff not being attentive enough, but this is a 50+ seating restaurant that gets CROWDED fast. If you want first class serice, I suggest not going to a pizza restaurant that is highly well liked and visited by all the locals or plan to go earlier, give youself some extra time for your order and just RELAX! We had a build your own with pepperoni, Canadian bacon and mushrooms and it was very good. There wasn't too much cheese on it so you could taste the sauce....which had a bit of a sweet taste to it. The mushroom were well cooked and added flavor (unlike some pizzas we've had). I'm pretty sure that the crust was hand tossed, definitely not pre-made and out of the box. UM. AWESOME. Only issue...set up a little weird and service was a little weird, but really, I think there were only two guys working on a Sunday early afternoon. Wasn't really sure how this place ran...do we sit? Do we go up to the counter? Do we move the table so it's not all sorts of cockeyed? Little strange, but the pizza certainly made up for it.
