Egg & Cheese on a Plain Toasted

It always gets better here with every new thing we try. This time around we got breakfast sandwiches which were of course great. Bennie's bread was like a roll but I forgot to get it toasted. Both sandwiches were filling and so good. Definitely get it toasted always though. The cookie is amazing. I mean look at the size. Just get it no regrets. BUT... if you don't get this jelly filled cookie then you'll be missing out on the best snack they have here. Get a dozen of them and enjoy yourself on the beach. So soft and the jam has to homemade but isn't too sweet.

Bennie's Bread is in a convenient location. I stopped here on my way to the beach and found street parking right out front. They bake their own rolls daily and I'd give this breakfast sandwich a solid 4 stars. Online ordering was not available when I tried so I called my order in. The employee was pleasant on the phone and my order was ready when I arrived. I would add that I found the pick up process a bit confusing - it would be helpful to have a pick up order line (perhaps I missed it).

Pork, eggs and cheese. Very good.

Been here twice this week. Maybe a bit pricey but not too concerned. Great service and the pork roll egg cheese was yummy.

"Green Eggs & Ham" on bennie roll

Absolutely loved Bennie's Bread for its breakfast sandwich this weekend - the "Green Eggs & Ham" with pesto, eggs, prosciutto, and cheese was so so good. I'm really excited to try the other sides and baked goods inside - they looked tasty (if a bit pricey). Side note: there is a real battle going on in the OCNJ sandwich scene - I see Boyar, Bennie's, and Sandwich Bar all competing for best sandwich in the town. Anxious to continue seeing other spots!

They've got so much to try and love! So many different options that all looked really good I went simple with a Meatball sandwich and it was just lovely. The meatballs were flavorful and spiced perfectly with thyme and whatever other love they put in there. Fantastic bread and sauce! So many salad and pasta and anti.pasta offerings...and they ALL look good We came in not too long before closing but the staff did not rush us and they were super helpful answering all my questions and giving menu advice!

Tried a slice of tomato pie on Thursday and ended up ordering a whole tomato pie on Friday and Saturday. Best tomato pie I have ever had!

A little overpriced but great quality food. Good gluten free options, such as desserts and pizza.

Best bread on the island. But get there early or he runs out. Sesame Italian bread is the way to go.

I walked into Bakeria two days ago, intending to treat myself to one of their amazing artisan slices of pizza. But in the display case below the counter was a stack of beautiful seeded baguettes, hot out of the oven and longer than my arm! Disclaimer: I am a lifelong baguette hound, travel to Italy and France frequently enough, and consider myself a baguette connoisseur if you will. So it took two long bags, one on each end, to wrap this baguette which smelled like a dream, and I will admit that I was a bit taken back when the cashier asked for $10, which is the most I have ever paid for baguette in all of my life, but knowing that these sell out every day, I was not gonna walk away at that point! All I can tell you is this is by far the best baguette I have ever had in America or Europe: wonderful sourdough, perfectly texture crust covered with lightly toasted sesame seeds, and a moist soft chewy interior that is pure bliss. Buy this baguette! I promise you that it will be a memorable experience!P! And the 10 bucks? I have to be totally honest: I have since dreamed about this baguette and wouldn't hesitate to go back tomorrow for another one, it was so worth it!

Unfortunately by 6PM on a Friday night, they were out of ingredients for 2 of the pizzas we wanted to order. The ones we ordered were very good, with a crispy thin crust, and were ready on time. The white (Bianco) was particularly good. Would probably order from them again, but place the order earlier!
