i will say the food is very good. my problem are the prices. The drive thru menu will say one price, but when you get to the window its higher. when u say "but the menu board says $6.99" they say " well its $7.99!" ... this has happened to me 3 times with 3 different items on 3 different occasions. .... if you are gonna change your prices, thats fine. but put the correct price on the drive thru menu board! The "manager" was called when i refused to pay the increased price. she told me... well i cant just change the price in the register. lol lady... u CAN just manually enter the price if necessary..... for that reason alone, i will not go back. read more

Standard mexican done well. I find it a bit odd that their menu is rather limited and that they are missing several staple dishes. And on a side note the men's bathroom had no ventilation. That may seem petty but it's texas is august. All in all good standard fare. read more

Food is great, prices are good can't beat 2 tacos $1.50 tortillas are freshly made. Staff very courteous, clean, friendly they re always busy helping customers with the menu if we don't know what an item is or how it's fixed. If the wait staff are real busy the Manager comes out to help with serving drinks. Now that they are open on Sunday's is even better for convinence. One thing that I have heard other customers and myself agree with them is the kind of music they play and too loud, besides it a Mexican restaurant where is the music I thought it was suppose to be Mexican music. I stopped by here and grabbed a few tacos for breakfast. I ordered the bacon and egg tacos. The drive thru was backed up(even after a few cars pulled off) which let me know this place is popular. The employee working the drive thru was nice and my food was ready within 2 minutes of me getting to the window. The tacos were good but not great because I like the bacon in my tacos to be whole strips or larger pieces, not diced. read more

Went here for breakfast. Everything was good. Country and eggs with hashbrowns and beans with hand made tortillas. Migas. All were Perfectly seasoned. Even the coffee was good. Green salsa didn't have much flavor and was hot. Red salsa was very flavorful but was chunky and hard to get out of the syrup pourers. We will be back. read more

This place used to be a Wendy's, I'm glad it's not anymore. This place has a nice variety of food, without an overwhelming menu. Mexican food, burgers, fried fish, chicken fried steak/chicken, etc. It's always packed, so expect a little bit of a wait. read more

My wife and I came here for breakfast one morning after a traffic jam caused us to take a detour down Pat Booker road. We decided to stop here on a wim and we were pleasantly surprised. Went there for breakfast this morning. the service was very fast and the people were friendly. I got the crispy taco plate which comes with 2 beef tacos, rice and beans. also tomatoes and lettuce for the toppings. hubby got 2 bacon and egg tacos and one bean and cheese. the beans are very good, hubby said the bacon and egg tacos were very good and my crispy beef tacos were very good as well.. coffee tasted amazing. the only thing I did not care for was the rice but overall good experience. read more

Hi am very disappointed in this restaurant my family comes to eat here once or twice a month ever since they open in universal city love the food and the music is great but today was the worst experience we have ever had are waitress believe we heard another employee say her name was paulina she is the worst server we have ever met she came to our table asked us for our drinks didn't even say good morning had such a bad attitude no smile hardly spoke any English she got our drink order as though she was in a rush to get our food order with out asking If we needed any Time to look over the menu..... We asked her a question and she rudely responded she did not know what we wher saying. Came back once after our food was out.We got up to pay with our empty Togo cups she was standing by the front we heard her talking really bad about other customers that also wher having breakfast we will not return to this place as long as they have her here don't know how an owner can hire such a rude, disrespectful employee this this lady is definitely going to cause them to lose out on business hopefully they make a change nor me or my family will return worst server ever read more

I work at Randolph, and have passed this restaurant quiet frequently. My son and I met for lunch, as he was wanting bean and cheese tacos. To our pleasant surprise, the flour tortillas were homemade and fresh and the beans were like my mother's. I ordered the huevos rancheros and they were yummy! We met there a couple of more times and decided to have his graduation brunch at Lisa's. They accommodated 34 of us with polite and expeditious service. All our food was fresh. No need to go to the other side of town to get Authentic Mexican Food, we have our own "hot spot" in Universal City. read more

Have been here several times and the food is good. I had their cheese enchiladas with rice & beans with a puffy beef taco. They use cheddar cheese and I actually prefer American cheese however it was good and generously covered with a dark chili gravy. Good size portions. The puffy beef taco was great! Good hot green sauce. Next time I ordered the fried fish & Fried shrimp again good portions two big filets of fish & six shrimp that were small but for the price it will fill you up. Came with fries, cole slaw & hush puppies. This was not frozen. You could tell it had been hand battered. Again it was good & fresh. Not fishy smelling. I ordered one morning a bacon & egg taco and they were busy but I prefer my eggs cooked a little longer & barely any bacon. So not my choice for breakfast tacos. Overall I will return. Ingredients are fresh & good portions. Also even though I didn't like the breakfast taco the flour tortilla was freshly made and was soft & fluffy. Very good. read more

I have been meaning to write a review for Lisa's Taco Hut. For a small "taco hut" I was expecting mediocre food and lowsy service. Boy, was I wrong! I opened the menu and I was happy to find a full menu with a variety of foods from fajitas and tacos to chicken fried steak and hamburgers. The chips and salsa are delicious and fresh. I am kind of a chips and salsa connoisseur and I was very pleased. I love hot salsa and theirs definitely has a kick. Tortillas are fresh and yummy. Everything looked so good, it was hard to decide what to get. I decided on the California Chicken. It is a grilled chicken breast smothered in a lemon butter and garlic sauce, topped with tomatoes and fresh avocados. It also comes with two sides and I got mashed potatoes and green beans. If I could explain how delicious, buttery and moist this chicken was, I mean this thing was good. It was so good in fact that I went back a few days later with my mother and got the same thing again. Their breakfast tacos are amazing and much bigger than the other local taco joints. They are not expensive either. They are always very busy in the mornings because let's face it, we love our breakfast tacos around here and they sure know how to serve them up. They manage to get through the line rather quickly considering you can order anything (including full meals) through the drive-thru. I keep seeing people say "it was okay for the price." It was even better because their prices are so good. For my California Chicken and the drink, it was less than $10 and I would say that the dish was better than what I would get at Chilis. I really love this place. I do wish they stayed open longer but I still like that they are humans that want to go home to their families too. I can appreciate that. Again, for a small little restaurant, the service was great. The ladies are always nice. It always looks clean to me and plenty of places to sit. I usually don't go in during the busy times though.
