We recently had to replace our upstairs master bath tile. We had a particular issue with bad sub-flooring. When removing the tile, it was discovered that water had penetrated the wood under the toilet. To make a long story short, Beno's went over and above to work with us to get the issues resolved in a very timely manner and they had to come back twice to finish the job because of the water issues. When Lowes messed up our order and gave us the wrong color transition, they took it upon themselves to go to Lowes and get the replacement. They worked fast can clean. In all my years of dealing with businesses, this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. The first installer took 3 days to apply mosaic tile sheets to the face of the fireplace and large tiles on the hearth, and entryway before abandoning the project on day 3, leaving us with a pile of broken tiles in our garage. We also had a box of tiles to be returned because of damage that we were to be credited for, that was thrown away by the next crew (who in fairness thought they were doing a courtesy clean up). Baseboards were to be replaced as well in part of the original bid. On day 4 a new crew showed up (Dallas and Jordan who I thought were great) and completed the tiles and grout, but had to return for detailing and carpet stretching on day 5 and day 6..we had to clean up our brick driveway with a power washer ourselves because of the mess the first installer (Chris, who has since been terminated according to other employees). Because we work in the airline industry, we lost several days of flying at the cost of quite a bit to our wallets to compensate for a job that took 6 days instead of 2 or 3...we arranged to have the baseboards installed on September 1st, but the installer couldn't make it, so another installer came and asked to complete the job the next day. And I would like to add that the original install date was Aug 10th, but had to be rescheduled to the 11th, but no one showed up on the 11th, so we were given Chris on the 12th, who only worked 4 hours each day (but we didn't know what arrangement he had with Benos or was part time so we didn't ask)...we ended up getting a past due notice from Beno's before the work was completed (baseboards) with a text that had changed tone from Jessica. She stated that Benos was doing the baseboards as a courtesy because of inconvenience, and that it wasn't part of the original bid. I forwarded a picture of the contract that stated it was part of the original bid, and said they would get their money after completion. So our 12 square foot fireplace, 12 square foot hearth (flush to the ground) and the 50 square foot entry way should have started Aug. 10 for approx 2 days (perhaps 3) and was completed September 2nd...we never asked for any compensation or discount EVER, and have only gotten a courtesy apology from both the owner and Jessica....and that was after the owner stated to have "misread" the contract after sending a past due notice for a job not completed..don't forget we cleaned up after ourselves on our palm tree, desert rock landscape and a custom brick driveway that still has the appearance of white paint being tossed on it.... read more

Wow! what a great job they do! I have had all thefloors in my house done by them( except the kitchen, thats next) wood floors in all the rooms tile in bathrooms and laundry room. They do an excellent job on time, clean and efficient, finish the WHOLE job with NO DELAYS, and clean up after like they were never here. Excellent work fair price even when " little" problems come up. I will always use Beno's for flooring. Carlos is a magician with wood flooring and baseboards, you might have to wait to get an appointment with him but but it is so worth the wait!! read more

My experience with Beno's was mixed. The job was pretty good, but after a few mishaps. The company was contracted through Lowe's to lay tile in a guest bathroom and children's bathroom. Everything was removed by my husband and myself (i.e. previous vinyl tile removed, baseboards, toilet, etc.). I purchased the tiles and supplies through Lowe's to be picked up prior to the installation by Beno's. The plan was for a one day installation for both bathrooms. The time window was 0900-1100. They arrived a little before 1000. Unfortunately I wasn't present for the installation, but my mother was there. Prior to installation, she verified the tile location and grout colors, and was told the information was on the contract they had. The job was completed and during the walk through the wrong grout color was used in both bathrooms. The installer informed my mother that he switched the colors because usually people don't want the grout combination I chose (dark tile with light grout). I requested the grout be corrected that day, but they were out of grout. They returned the next day to correct the mistakes. The job came out pretty good. A few of the grout lines were uneven, but not too noticeable. I may use them again as I have another bathroom to be tiled, but I may have to think about it hard or at least be present for the next installation. read more

Terry was very helpful in helping us decide between laminates or carpeting. He let us take home two full boards of samples and taught us to put them in different places at different times of the day so we could get the right look for us. It was amazing at how different the hew's of carpets looked at different times and in those locations. Their prices were competitive with large retail places. Beco's was very professional, clean and did a wonderful job on the install. There are no complaints. read more

Worst experience. Lowe's used them for our tile install. They did everything wrong. Tiles are uneven & all of them are flaking. Sealant wasn't done properly & also caused haze on all the tiles.The grout is stained & has holes. They damaged our carpet. They said all work would be completed in a few hours(Lowes told us the same thing) & that our house would be ready for the holiday. It actually took four days to be done, plus 1 more day for someone to try to fix what they did wrong (it wasn't fixed well & looked even worse the next day) and our house looked terrible for the holiday. We've had to spend hundreds of dollars and lots of time trying to fix the damage they did to the tiles & they still look awful. Also, Lowe's installation manager backs them up & said they do good work. I hope they all have tiles that look like ours, and experience the frustration, waste of time & expense that we've had. read more

let me first say the tile installers DONT know what level is had them install new tile in a kitchen/ dinning area there was no kitchen cabinets to deal with i checked level before the ever did any work it was within 1/4 inch over a 8' span but after they installed the tile it was off 1 3/4 " over a 4' span the installer was supposed to one of the best according to FIRST CHOICE FLOORING ( even the owner came out and said what seems wrong!) really if you cant see how bad it is you should NOT be in the flooring business 2 guys showed up the one left after about a hour then came back later in the afternoon the one that stayed i tried to speak to him about floor all i got from him was dont speak english so just let be a warning buyer beware unless you have the put tile around your cabinets if not EXPECT a floor that is not level. and very costly mistake mine was $2500.00 read more

Hidden charges! Very unprofessional service! The first thing the installers did was figure out what additional charges to impose, instead of starting the job. They determined that the carpet which was going to be replaced has pet urine stains. Nobody knew or could ever prove what the origin of the spots was; however, the company, a subcontractor of Lowe's, was determined to extort more money, despite of a prepaid service contract which included removal and disposal of the old carpet. Lowe's did not side with us as customers and refused to allow us to speak with a supervisor; they said they had pictures (taken by the installers without permission) of a soiled carpet. Of course, if the stains could have been removed, we would have cleaned it, and not replaced the whole carpet. Overall, we had a terrible experience with that company: initially, they did not show up within the provided time frame to take measurements, the wife of one of the installers was let into the house without informing us or asking our permission, part of the baseboard which was loose was thrown away by the installers instead of being reattached, etc. That was one of the most frustrating experiences we have ever had with a service provider: we were forced into a situation in which we either had to pay two hundred and thirty dollars more in order to have the job started, or find and pay another provider to remove the carpet, a service which was already included in our contract with Lowe's and thus, was already paid for. We would not recommend Beno's Flooring to anyone. read more

From beginning to end, everything was so smooth and trouble free. Terry was great. Did not try to "upsell" products, respectful and professional. He let us take home the entire sample board and also the large sample piece to see how the carpeting would look with our furniture. He assured us that if there was any problem at all, to call and they would promptly fix it. Sally called the Saturday before to confirm the day and time of installation. Beno's flooring did the installation and were just about the best installers on the planet! They came on time. They were fast, cleaned up and did not leave any mess at all, and were extremely quiet. When they picked up the old carpet, I was shocked to see how the previous padding was put down...little strips and patches here and there. When Beno's put down the padding, it was one solid piece. Believe me, it makes a difference. The pricing was the best. We had been to other places and 1st Choice Flooring saved us almost half of what others quoted. This is the place to go for flooring. Don't even bother going anywhere else. Everyone was wonderful. When we are ready for carpeting in other rooms, I don't have to spin my wheels. I know where to go. read more
