Good food, price & portions! Their food are freshly prepared! I'll be back for more! Yummm!

6. Tofu Teriyaki Deluxe Bento

I came here on my lunch break, and I wasn't disappointed! There was plenty of seating, very casual sit down. Ordered at a kiosk and the food came out quickly. The staff inside the restaurant were all very attentive and incredibly sweet. They did forget a sauce at first, but they brought it over before I even had a chance to ask! TBH that's goodservice! The food was warm, flavorful, and didn't leave me feeling gross afterward :)

This place was surprisingly very good! First time I've done takeout here and the food was good! The chicken teriyaki was actually very moist and flavorful. The box comes with a small side of yum yum sauce but honestly the chicken didn't need it. Spring roll and Cali roll were standard. Salad came plan which I thought was odd but not complaining. Solid meal for the price

3 STARS for Bento House - quick, cheap and order-at-the-counter CHICKEN TERIYAKI in RESTON. This place has been around for years and its tucked away location makes it a little bit of a hidden option. In the Home Depot group of shops next to NTB Tire, across from Santini's. We had a hankering for quick, cheap, close-by chicken teriyaki. Bento House fit the bill. * Like that this place is order-at-the-counter and not sit down full service - exactly what we were looking for - quick hit, easy in and out, no muss no fuss. Plenty of lot parking. * Walked in - not crowded, plenty of available table seating, very open, bright, clean and neat inside * Kitchen is open concept, grill and cooks are visible which I like. Orders are up pretty quickly but know that teriyaki is grilled to order so there is a wait. I don't mind when I know the food that comes out is freshly cooked and piping hot! * They appear to do a steady, decent amount of online delivery and pick-up takeout orders - another good sign that food and ingredients are fresh, turnover is high. * Order takers at the counter are experienced, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. * Portion sizes are decent (all I can comment on is about the Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box (Regular)) - see my pics - the "Regular" comes with a small amount of steamed veg (fresh) and choice of white or fried rice or noodles (same price) - we ordered with white rice. Next time will try fried rice and noodles (have read other reviews that the noodles are greasy - will have to try and see for myself and report back here). But all things considered in this wacky economy of inflated prices, shrinkflation and places trying to skimp by using lower qual ingredients, the food here stands up to higher standards I have for eating out these days including value for the money (compared to other places) and worth the visit. I DO however have 2 "NEEDS IMPROVEMENT" items that, if fixed, would elevate this place one more star to 4 stars: 1. The chicken teriyaki needs more salt. Definitely missing something in the flavor department and imo just a tad more seasoning would go a long way to make this a perfect dish. Weird thing is - they apparently don't offer salt lol - no condiments on the table and no salt packets available (I asked!). We ended up using the soy sauce they provide in a big dispenser at the condiment / drink station as a dipping sauce for the chicken (pouring it over top of the chicken would drench the rice that sits below the chicken, making the rice even more soggy and mushy than it already is (see #2 below). Soy sauce dipping sauce worked okay in a pinch but the dish really just needs to be a tad more seasoned/salted. 2. The white rice is a tad too "soggy", mushy and bland. If they could get the white rice just a bit more firm and fluffy, it would make a huge difference. Still worth a return visit to check out other menu items. Will report back here when I do!

Ordered room service via DoorDash, was craving a little wasabi heat. So I ordered Japanese and got my grub. Nothing really stands out, I don't know if eating there versus ordering out would have made a difference. Wasabi wasn't hot, volcano roll was just okay. I've seen other reviews of this place being fast food Japanese. I don't know if that means it's all pre made, but it was fast so not sure.

I'm increasing my rating to 5 stars because despite the raised prices, orders have consistently been good and portions are pretty generous. The service is also great. When picking up my orders, they are always ready on time and packed well. I can't find another sushi place that makes rolls the way I really like them except Bento House. I hope the sushi chef stays as long as they can!

I wasn't too hungry, so $7.90 for the "Chicken Teriyaki Regular Bento" was a solid choice. I picked lo mein noodles for my base (you can choose between noodles, white rice, and fried rice). The food came out pretty quickly after in a sizable take out container. Overall, it was just OK. The lo mein noodles took up 75% of the container and was pretty bland and greasy. The teriyaki chicken was not too bad. I liked the sauce and they gave a decent portion of it! I wish there were more vegetables, though. I only found 2-3 pieces of carrots, a couple broccoli florets, and a bit of cabbage. Not really sure if I'd call this a bento box since everything was dumped into one container. This felt more like lower quality Panda Express to me. I ended up eating all chicken and vegetables and only ate a small amount of the greasy noodles.

I enjoy eating sushi the things I noticed here was the rice was fresh but ended up making the sushi warm so it really threw me off. The sushi. Salmon was delicious. If only it wasn't warm rolls weren't ripe tuna rolls weren't bad but again everything was warm even the soy sauce, but I will admit the salmon was very tender and good in flavor. If only it was cold. I do not recommend the Goza if you've had true fresh handmade styles. This is very much frozen and fried. If you just want the taste of sushi this is a quick easy meal then but not cheap.

Luis did an outstanding job with providing patience and helping us pick a truly amazing lunch. We will be back VERY SOON!!

Generous portions, arrived piping hot, affordable, and very very tasty. They knocked it out of the park. I had already started munching before taking the attached pic, there's even more food than what you see here!

Today was my third time ordering from Bento House, via UberEats, and I'm thinking it's going to be my last. On work days where I am strapped for time and have a hankering for sushi this place always jumps out for their cheap delivery fee and quick delivery time. But the positives really stop there. I ordered the Spider Roll, Yellowtail Sushi (2 pieces) and Tuna Sushi (1 piece). The breading (not sure id that's the right terminology but if you are a fan of Spider Rolls or soft shell crab, I think you get what I mean) on the soft shell crab in the Spider Roll is way too thick. You barely get to enjoy the flavor of the softshell crab itself. The roll is also sloppily put together making it all crumble the minute you pick it up with chopsticks. The raw sushi pieces were just okay. I'm thinking I'll need to find a different, local place that I can hit up the next time I'm caught in meetings all day.

Lunch bentos for delivery only - comes in rectangle container altogether if that's a thing for you. Not in a bento box with partitions. Steak teriyaki - the teriyaki sauce has good flavor, but the more disappointing item was the "steak" - it's a dark meat product but does not taste or 'feel' like sirloin or anything relative to the steak I'm used to.. will pass on any beef product. Ordered sushi & Sashimi and that was god and prepared well.. way to go in the sushi arena.

That's a lot of wonderful crispy tofu. The entire bento was lined with yummy fried rice. Really good!

I didn't expect much. I had walked in and out of this food joint a couple of times without finding anything interesting. But this time I was hungry and wanting something decently healthy so I was trying to decide between the avocado sushi and the tofu teriyaki bento. For a couple bucks more I changed the tofu. Got the fried rice to see what that was like. It seems like they fresh cook everything per order. People came in and out while I waited, most picking up a phone order or ordering to go. They brought me my bento and I was surprised at the size. It was full and - dare I say it - overflowing. I scolded myself for forgetting to ask if the tofu was deep fried as it was, but too late now. Also I wasn't really impressed with the fact that the teriyaki sauce was drizzled over everything (rather than the tofu being cooked in it). Being hungry I dug in, peeking the tofu out of their deep fried cases, and eating it with the fried rice and veggies. And do you know, it was good. I don't know if I was starving or what, but it was really good. There was fried rice lining the entire bottom of the bento and in the end i ate every last bit, just leaving the deep fried tofu cases as proof of the carnage. I can see why they had a steady stream of people coming in and out. For the approximately $7 bento I got hot, freshly cooked, filling, tasty food. I feel a little oily due to the deep fried tofu cases but if I was into fried food those golden tofu squares would have been delicious as well. For the price, I'm a fan. I'll try the avocado sushi next time.

We ultimately enjoyed our meal and will likely try it again the next time we need a change of pace from our go-to spot. The menu possesses a vast array of rolls, the majority of which hover between $15-18. Seeing the prices of the rolls and not knowing what to expect, we ended up ordering six, which ended up as too much food for the two of us. We found the rolls all well constructed and with generous quantities of the fish. The rice itself was passable. The sliced fish quality was decent, and we found the salmon and tuna particularly fresh. The "spicy" fish in the rolls left something to be desired in both the degree of spice/seasoning as well as freshness. The rolls all could have used a bit more saucing, but we enjoyed them nonetheless. The prices here are very reasonable, especially if you order online which yields a 10% discount. My order was prepared more or less on time. Overall, we liked what we sampled and will return in the near future to sample more rolls. Kumo does not quite supplant our usual sushi spot, but it's a welcome addition to a takeout rotation and worth a shot for roll lovers.

I've been visiting the Nova area to find a good Japanese restaurant, but this one is lower than average to be honest. Sushi rice was undercooked and hard, which kills good quality sushi. In my opinion, this is the most crucial aspect for Japanese restaurants. The arrangement was okay, but they knew how to prepare the fish, but the quality was not good. We all experience inflation and shrinkage, but you should choose quality seafood. For about $30 per dish and fish, I'd rather go to a sushi buffet near me that costs $27 per person.
