Salmon Belly (Sake Toro) Nigiri, $7 - 4.5 Stars Good cut and good white fatty stripes for sake toro. Thumbs up. Lion King, $15 - 4 Stars Menu: California with seared salmon on top and parmesan aioli, unagi sauce, scallion With these type of specialty rolls, presentation is as important as the ingredients, combination, and creativity. This roll as the best out of the three we ordered. Zushi Flower, $19 - 3 Stars Menu: Shrimp tempura, avocado, spicy tuna with seared salmon on top, spicy mayo, unagi sauce, parmesan aioli, and kaiware, red tobiko on top This specialty roll did not at all look like the photo. At $19, it's the most expensive amongst their rolls. Disappointing. The ingredients and taste were fine. It didn't warrant the Zushi namesake, and I don't see 'flower' in its presentation. Cherry Blossom, $15 - 2.5 Stars Menu: salmon, avocado, cucumber, and tuna on top This roll was the most 'man-handled' looking roll amongst the three we ordered. It also did not look like the photo. In one of the pieces, I spitted out a brown piece of something. It turned out to be the tip of the avocado. They graciously offered to take it off the check or make a new roll. Grilled Hamachi Kama, $14 - 2 Stars This was a very dull and boring hamachi kama. Not much seasoning, not much sear, the skin is not crispy, yet the fish is overcooked to the point of being dense. Tempura Oreo, freebie We were gifted a tempura Oreo. Interesting and pretty, but not something I would order. No rating. I wish Yelp would do half stars. I think they are a solid 3.5 Stars. Not enough 'good' happened (other than the comp'd roll) for me to bump them up to a 4 Stars.

We are always greeted with a smile when we arrive. During checkout, the server reviews the plate count with you to ensure accuracy. As visitors from the Bay Area where there are a bunch of Korean restaurants, I can confidently say the food here is far better than your average Bay Area Korean restaurant. Between the four of us, we ordered a 12 half-and-half piece wing set, a seafood pancake, a tofu soup, and a beef bibimbap. Although food takes a long time to come out of the kitchen, the food is worth the wait! The seafood pancake was some of the best seafood pancake that I've had. The pancake had generous amounts of seafood in it and the crispiness could not be beat. Although the bibimbap comes in a large stone pot and is sizzling hot coming out of the kitchen, you unfortunately aren't able to extract any burnt rice from the bottom. Perhaps a little bit more oil is needed to achieve this? Despite this, it's still a really nicely constructed bibimbap bowl with a solid variety of vegetables. The chicken wings are crispy on the exterior and juicy on the interior. The wings are on the larger size, so once you get past the thin layer of crispy skin on the outside, I recommend dipping the wing back into the leftover sauce on the plate for more flavor. Last but not least, the tofu soup had a deep kimchi flavor, and was very mild in terms of spiciness. I thought the rice cakes included in the bowl were cooked perfectly and had a nice bounce to them. Overall, if you're looking for Korean food in this part of town, I don't think Danji Korean Cuisine can be beat.

I ordered a "build your own bowl" and proceeded to pick out each ingredient, building an amazing combination. They have plenty of choices in my opinion, even some cooked options, including a grilled chicken option for people like my wife who do not eat fish. Overall my experience here was great, I'd recommend this place any time and will surely be stopping back in the next time I'm in the neighborhood.
