Purchased a 19 Tacoma at Riverview Toyota on mother's day, Jason ( our salesman) repeatedly told us it was a TRD PRO when it was a TRD off-road, when we took delivery I noticed it had wheel locks and looked for the key in the truck, I told him it was missing and he looked as well, confirmed that it was missing and said he'd get me one, a few days later I called him and he said he couldn't find one but would get it taken care of, I called about twice a week for the next 3 weeks, no luck, I finally told him to just get me 4 factory lug nuts and I'd get the locks off myself, he said ok but since then he wouldn't answer calls or respond to texts, I called the dealership and asked to speak with a manager but can never speak to one, either their busy and I leave a message, that I've never gotten a follow up from, or I get put on hold and disconnected, I gave up trying and will never do business with Riverview again, they're really friendly until you make a purchase, then you're on your own. read more

Let start off with the buying experience, it was actually very nice and easy. I flew into AZ from CA to purchase a Highlander and buy it in full. I did so with no problem then it goes downhill from there. Three months later, 6+ phone calls and I still haven't recieved the title to my car and my temporary plates are expiring. I've talked to at least 5 different people with zero help and the run around. The best part of it all is Melynda the Title Clerk tells me I have to go get my own title from the Arizona Motor Vehicle Division! What the hell! Thats just ridiculous are you kidding me! She gives me instructions to make my own profile on Arizona MVD and request one. Well you can't do that, it just gives you a title information if your car has any liens or brands, THATS IT! So damn frustrating! AND I still don't have my title! I definitely do NOT recommend purchasing from Riverview unless you are ready for the run around. F- read more

We drove over to Riverview, (on a spur of the moment), to look at an FJ Cruiser. While I was parking, a man waved at us, and he ended up being our salesman. Orlando ("Big O") Church. He found us the FJ we were looking for, and away we went. Overall, the deal went fine. I had a vehicle to trade in, and a "set dollar amount/number" that we wanted to pay, and everyone got as close as they could. Kudos to Alex, the Used Car Manager. We ended up buying the Platinum warranty from Mike Powell. They detailed the vehicle before we left, even removing an obnoxious tint on the windshield. However, I'm knocking off stars because in July 2020 they are not enforcing the city and county mask mandates. Approximately 90% of the employees were not wearing masks, even when speaking directly to me. Frankly, I was shocked by the blatant disregard for their customers. I bought a dodge truck here . Bad customer experience. They negotiated the price I agreed to the price. The finance manager quoted me an interest rate that was really good. I signed the contract gave them a $10,000 deposit. They gave me the truck I drove it home three days later he called me and said he's going to raise the interest rate he had to get a loan through another bank. When I purchase a vehicle he told me it's a done deal here's your rate your credits perfect. I told him how I was upset that he would tell me a good rate to make the deal and then call me three days later to renegotiate. I told him he could have the truck back. And he advised me that they would keep my 10,000 dollars and not refund it if I didn't sign the new rate. And I know that dealers make points on rates. So it's a typical shady car dealership that uses these tactics to take advantage of buyers. I would not buy anything car here again.!!!!!!! HORRIBLE read more

I have been researching a RAV4 hybrid for sometime now. Originally, I worked with a different dealership but was not able to find what I wanted. Nor, did they look to see if they were able to locate the vehicle on another lot. Not the case with Riverview Toyota however. Do no buy a used precertified from this place. I bought a 2016 and after 3 months the tires are cracking. I was told that the pre certification paper work said the tires were fine... Really? So tires today go bad after 3 months and less then 3000 miles, damn I'm gonna buy 4 sets of tires at one time for all my cars from now on. Thank you Riverview Toyota for teaching me that. I saw a commercial regarding zero interest so I trolled the website for a few days and found a new Tacoma I liked. There is a red button on the site for getting a "sales price" and you fill out a form and wait for the magic? NOT! They copy and paste exactly what is on the site, don't answer any questions regarding ZERO financing, and take 4 days to respond! This is old school smoke and mirrors BS and its a shame cause I'm a neighbor to the place and try to spend local BUT I have no patience for being treated like an dumb ass. I complained about the lousy salesmanship and got a very patronizing response! SAD :( I've already started taking my sequoia to the big rig shop nearby as they treat me like gold and now work on my entire fleet! read more

Had an appointment for 1pm. Pulled right in and was seen by the service department intake right away, didn't seem busy only one other car in the intake area and one person in the waiting area. Went in for a 5k miles maintenance. That covers: add Toyota EFI tank additive, check installation of floor mats, inspect fluid levels, inspect wipers, rotate tires, and visually inspect brakes. I was asked if I wanted a "quick rinse" and he said it would go through the car wash. All covered under my warranty/service plan. Told it would take one hour and thirty minutes. I mentioned that seemed like a long wait and he said it was one hour and ten for the work and twenty for the wash. Twenty minutes to go through the "quick wash"!! How is it going to take over and hour to rotate tires and inspect the car! Waited in a comfy chair watching daytime TV. The service rep was friendly. I wanted to look up an add on part for my car but there was no at the parts desk. The total wait time was one hour twenty minutes. read more

I waited 3 HOURS for an oil change. I did not receive the tire rotation I asked for. Steve attempted to up-sell me on a new set of brakes for $400+ and told me I needed new brake pads that they could not install themselves (legal reasons?) and my fiancé should do it for me. We both know zip about cars so that was sexist. I went in knowing my car was old and just needed a quick tune up and did not receive that service. Sensing my frustration, I did not receive a charge for the oil change, but considering this is a Toyota service place, I was expecting better service overall. This may be a great place to buy a car, but do not go here for basic tune ups, go to your local body shop. Lesson learned. read more

I purchased a 2017 Tundra on Saturday the 7th of Oct. There was a price stickers on the windshield. It said 37,994. The sales person brought the truck around for me to take it for a test run. I told him when we got it in that I liked it already. He said it's on sale so that's even better. After signing the paperwork and leaving, at 10 pm I was looking over my receipt and it said $43,050 on my purchase price. I went back in and talked to Chris Lopez about it. He said that the $37,994 was a CASH price. This was never told to me throughout the whole process of the purchase. I was offered $1,000 for the purchase of a camper shell to help satisfy their mistake. I wouldn't send anyone to this dealership. They can't even man up when they mislead me and not correct their mistake plus I have a higher $ truck. I wouldn't have bought it at the $43,050 price tag. Fraud? Rip off? I'd say... read more

I really think a persons experience here depends on who helped them. My parents purchased a car here and worked with Will Smith. Then when it came time for us to purchase our vehicle we reached out to Will as well. Let's just say if I ever need another Toyota I will come back here and ask for him AGAIN! Will was a pleasure to work with. He listened to us on what we needed EXACTLY and never tried pushing anything extra on us. We were able to leave with a brand new car at the monthly price we wanted and at an amazing interest rate. We don't usually buy new cars from dealers as the haggling over price is such a miserable experience. Therefore we haven't bought a car from a dealer since the early 90's. We started out the process at another dealership using the Costco buying program. We were unable to find a price with that dealer that we were comfortable with. We called Riverview Toyota about a used car that they had advertised with low mileage at a price that we liked. The fleet manager, Oscar, said that though he showed that they still had the vehicle he wanted to check the lot to make sure it was still there before I drove down. He said that "he didn't want us to waist our time if it wasn't there." He called me back to say that it had been sold the evening before and that was the end of the conversation. I appreciated not getting a hard sell so much that my wife and I decided to call Oscar back to see if they might be able to get us a deal that we liked on a new vehicle. When we got to the dealership we met with Oscar and he asked a floor salesman, Tony, to show us the cars that we were interested in. Tony was very knowledgeable about the Toyota products and there was no pressure dealing with him. After taking much time finding a vehicle that we liked we began the dreaded "what's this going to cost us process." Well, they were able to beat the Costco pricing that we had gotten from another dealership. Thank you James (the numbers person) for working with us to find a price that we could live with. Our experience with the employees at Riverside Toyota made a day at the dealership not something we ended up dreading. read more

The next morning I decided to take the battery back to the dealership where I purchased the truck to see if there was any proration left on the battery. Upon pulling into Berge Toyota at Mesa Riverview I was talking on the phone with one of my employees. I made the first left towards the back of the building. I noticed some bay doors back there and "assumed" the service entrance was around there. Half way down I realized it was not located there and turned around. I was still speaking with my employee about end of day actions and failed to see the service entrance at that point... passed right by it. I proceeded to the other side of the building and made a left to the back side. I stopped my vehicle behind the building looking at mechanics working in bays. I was wrapping up my phone conversation when a new Tundra slammed on its brakes in front of me. This shocked me so I attempted to drive around it. At that moment a gentlemen stepped out of the driver side and started approaching my vehicle. I rolled down my window and that is when he started to bombard me with the "F" word. I asked him if he was ok and that he needed to calm down before I call the cops. He told me to get off his property. I pulled around front and parked, I proceeded to call the dealership to have a manager come outside. The same man approached my vehicle again and continued calling me a F-Ing idiot and that I needed to leave. I informed him that I was on the phone with Dan the sales manager and he will be out. He told me Dan works for him and he was going to kick me out as well. At that moment he pulled out his drivers license and shoved it in my face and asked me what name is on it? I read clear as day - Brent Berge! This upset me and I attempted to get out of my vehicle so I could show him the battery in my trunk. He attempted to place his body against my door prohibiting me from exiting my vehicle. I shoved the door open and opened my trunk. I informed him that I bought my Tacoma from this property and he again called me an F-ing retard... he said "you don't buy vehicles from properties you buy it from dealerships" I was flabbergasted... I threw back "nice customer service, now I know why your lot is empty of customers" I drove off the property and parked on the street. That is when Dan the sales manager approached me and asked if I was OK. I told him no that Brent got me all worked up and that level of disrespect and unprofessionalism does not belong in retail work! Dan explained that they have been having theft issues in the back lot and they are sensitive. I told him they need to block off access and he responded with... customers still need to access the back lot! Shaking my head! I would expect the CEO of a company to be more calm and collected, and ask the questions before diving into filth and degenerating, even discriminatory forms of communication! I came into the dealership on 2/20/2017 for a used Subaru BRZ. I let them know that I had no intention of buying, because I was going to look at another one nearby. They worked with me on the price of the car, and I got a deal that I was okay with. Shout out to Shea, the salesman. The entire (initial) experience was good. The Financial Manager, Tracy, let us know all the details, warranties and extra add-ons, which I was okay with initially because the interest rate and monthly was decent. Fast forward one week, and he calls me telling me that I have to come in and sign the new terms because he could not get the original loan terms approved. So I went in and he told me that the interest rate was going up about 2.5% from original, I was going to have less coverage in terms of additional warranties and my payment was going down ~$15/month. I was NOT okay with that. When I asked him to remove the GAP insurance (which had gone up from $850 to $995 for no reason), he said that he could not do that because the bank would not allow it. I told him I had already added GAP insurance through my insurance company, so I do not need it. On top of that, I told him I did not need the extended warranty (VSA), since it was optional. Again, he told me that it could not be removed and I had to sign under those conditions. I insisted that he remove both, which I know for a fact are optional, as it states in the contracts, and he refused to remove them. After going back and forth for a few minutes, I realized that he was just a liar and I was going no where with him. I should have asked for his manager, but I just wanted to get out of there, so I signed and left. A week later, I came back with both of the original contracts, showed him the terms and conditions of both contracts (VSA and GAP), which said I could cancel the warranties/GAP insurance if I take the original contract agreement to the dealer within 30 days. Again, he refused to remove the insurance and when I questioned him about why he lied about the warranty (He claimed I was buying Platinum VSA for $3000, so I agreed to it, when it was really Gold VSA), he said he did not remember saying that. (Of course he didn't.). He is a liar, scam and if you ever go into the dealership, be careful because he will blatantly lie to your face. I had to go home and mail a letter in to Toyota Corporate to get the VSA cancelled, in which I lost $50+ interest, because he is a con artist and refused to cancel it initially, and then the following week when I returned to the dealership. I know he is in sales, and I am as well, so him telling me to come in after 90 days to cancel both of them screamed to me that he gets paid on selling them. If he would have been honest about it, maybe I would have kept it, but lying to me like that is not a way to earn a customer or sales. Long story short, go in there pre-approved and don't get any optional warranties, and if they try to stick them on without your approval, simply walk away and go to a different dealer. My next car, I will be checking out Big Two, instead. Maybe they will actually listen to their customers wishes. read more
