Breakfast Bagel
Clay G.

This is a solid value play at O'Hare. For $8 plus tax, you get a breakfast bagel with your choice of meat with egg and cheese. It's not the best breakfast bagel I've ever had but it gets the job done. Would definitely come back.

Roast beef panini ... roast beef, cheese, and sautéed onions ... pickle ... root beer soda

The open glass display of the making of my roast beef panini was excellent. Professional carver for sure. The individual at the register was very polite and knew how to keep the line moving. Very good experience getting my food and drink. Sitting down and eating my food was pleasant. I sat with a nice view of the bar and TVs and of the planes outside. Airport noise.

Got Cuban sandwich to go to eat on a long flight since not crazy for airplane's foods much. It's quite delis with nice service, they do have seating and bar seating area. Small but cozy.

After walking through the options in concourse C, this felt like the best option for hot food. While a bit heavy for breakfast, I got the Cuban sandwich, and the hearty flavors definitely took me by surprise. Priced at $13 (great for airport prices), it was an extremely generous serving of shredded pork, layered with two thick sliced of ham and some melted provolone cheese, served with a dill pickle. The shredded pork was juicy and tender and tasted freshly made. Also got a cappuccino, which I was satisfied with. Both sandwich makers and the cashier were friendly and helpful in giving recommendations. As for ambiance, you order and pay first and find a place to sit out. It was very crowded when I went, so don't go expecting a quiet, relaxing place to eat.

Located next to C26, Berghoff was busy around 8 am. There was a line but it moved quickly (maybe 5 min) A good selection of made to order Omelettes and breakfast sandwiches. I wanted an Omelette but needed to take away so I got the Deluxe Croissant. The Croissant didn't have the usual flaky and was more like bread from a texture perspective. Once I got past that, the interior of this sandwich (eggs, mushrooms, bacon, Jack Cheese) were tasty and hit the spot. Ordered a medium Cappuccino, (either 2% milk or Oat are the choices) It was good but more of a Latte vs Cappuccino. Service was quick and friendly. They have a solid process and I was able to get my food quickly although made to order. Good one for Breakfast.

I really was not expecting to to find a sandwich that good in the airport but I'm glad I did. Service was excellent!!! Adam's Street beer is a good beer

A ver messy quesadilla. WITH NO CHEESE!
Jesse N.

I stopped for a quick lunch. I ordered the chicken quesadilla bc it would be convenient to eat while I wait for my plane. It was not a quesadilla... it was a tortilla with red sauce and chicken pieces. Not many chicken pieces AND NO CHEESE! It was a mess. The staff was prompt but they are under pressure with the line of people so it's very impersonal. The restaurant is small and very few sitting areas. I won't try this place again but you should check them out and make up your own mind.

Buffalo Chicken Wrap and a side of fries

Had quite a long layover and this was the closest "real" restaurant to our gate. We grabbed a couple seats at the bar and ordered a drink. The bartender started a tab for us and said we could walk to the other side of the cafe to order food and they can use the same tab, which worked great. It was nice to see all of the displays of sandwiches/wraps they offered since the menu is more like a traditional deli where you can create whatever you want. The wrap wasn't horrible but I didn't love the blue cheese and I wasn't aware it was on it. The fries were crispy and I enjoyed them. It only took about 5 minutes for them to make my food and there wasn't a line. The staff was great and the bartenders took great care of us. Overall, your typical airport bar with overpriced food/drinks but you get exactly what you expect.

Food was really, really good! Impressed. Top 3 Cubans I've ever had and I'm from NYC. Service was good, greeted with conversation and a smile. Ambiance was chill casual, not pushy, not crowded.

Deluxe croissant with sausage, a side of hash brown, and an apple juice

6am and this place is already packed! Everything here is fresh made in front of you and the guys working here are all smiles and niceties. The food was a bit sloppy and nothing crazy in terms of taste but it definitely hit the spot after a red-eye before my next flight.

This review goes solely to our bartender. I was hoping they had the thuringer sausage, but they did not. You can get it in the Loop at their main restaurant. Max and I got to the airport 7 hours too early. This gave us ample time to roam around. My coffee drink was outstanding. Bar area is small, but the seats are comfy.

Reuben sandwich
Brittany E.

I don't know if I have ever been impressed with food at an airport before. However, the Reuben sandwich I had at Berghoff was fantastic. It had the right amount of meat, sauerkraut, sauce, and bread. It was also HUGE. I was really happy with the price per portion. The staff was also helpful and quick with service. I will 100% grab a sandwich from here in the future.

Divide up your entree. As each plate passes, drop a portion and pass it on. If you really don't like something, either give it back, find someone at the table who wants it or just finish it anyway. Now you know what to order next visit, when it's just the two of you. The food here is surprisingly good. Not a bad dish on the menu and no shortage of smiles from the staff. Our waitress started off a bit rocky, but really brought it around and rocked the place. Two words, BIG TIP (even though we made her job easier). The steins stayed full and the other drinks flowed very nicely. Everyone ate and drank like kings and enjoyed our last night together. The bill for the evening I'm told was only $300 for 8 guests. Factory in the heavy drinking, I'd say that was more than reasonable. 08/25

As a German I had to try it. The potato pancakes were a good start, tasted like mom used to make. The Platter had a lot of food. I don't know what region this place is from, the sauerkraut and Blaukraut were not Bavarian, the Spätzle felt ready made and not home made. The Bratwurst was too fine for me, I'm thinking north German. The strudel was good tho. The service was fantastic! From host to server they took care of me and made sure I wanted for nothing, so I can't complain there. Decor wise this looks like what you'd imagine a German restaurant looking like in the US. Lots of banners advertising beer and German flags hanging on the walls with a collection of steins everywhere you look. Overall it's not "authentic" for me, but the food tasted good and the service was exceptional.

The mushroom and kale pie was nice and cheesy and the rocking vegan pie was more savoury, with a variety of vegetables and chickpeas as stuffing. The crust was neither too soft nor too crunchy. The highlight of the meal was the curry chips: potato wedges lightly fried with masala and curry leaves. The dipping sauce that came with the chips reminded me of tikka masala sauce, and paired beautifully with the chips. Dessert was toffee pudding: the caramel sauce that came with the pudding was delectable - the pudding itself was excellent and not overly sweet. We tried a variety of NA beers, and I was pleased with how many options they had. Service was quick, and we were well looked after. The ambiance is warm, with dim-ish lighting and a lot of dark wood. The chicken pie I think really needed the chutney that you can get separately. But that made it so much better and made it my preferred pie. The steak and ale pie was better than the chicken pie as a standalone, but needed a bit more gravy I think to elevate it. Sticky toffee pudding again was delicious. Sour Rye Soup: Not bad, but honestly, I wouldn't order it again... the fermented sourness was just too direct and intense. Polish Hunters Stew: Apparently a national dish of Poland. The first bite tasted like Italian meat sauce, with a rich tomato flavor and a slight smoky aroma; then I discovered the ingredients included sausage, cured beef brisket, minced meat, and sauerkraut, making it quite substantial and much more satisfying than Italian meat sauce. Overall, it was a rich, sweet and sour flavor, perfect with rice, pasta, or bread. Sauerkraut & Mushroom Pierogi: Dumplings, but the Polish version. The sauerkraut was only slightly sour, refreshing and delicious with the mushrooms, while the sour cream added a touch of creaminess and richness. Unfortunately, the skin was thick and sticky, as if it had been boiled for a long time. For better dumplings skin, please turn to a Northeastern Chinese. Half Duck: Strangely, it reminded me of confit de canard. The meat was incredibly tender, falling off the bone with a gentle pull; the melt-in-your-mouth texture was truly delightful. The cranberry sauce was perfectly balanced between sweet and sour, with a rich fruity and fermented aroma. The rosemary emerged in the aftertaste, enriching the flavors and cutting through the richness. The accompanying sauerkraut was even better than the duck, with a crunchy texture and a mild, pleasant sourness, enveloped in a rich buttery and creamy flavor. The accompanying fpotatoes were also soft and delicious, but the roasted pear was too overpowering in its softness and sweetness, not meeting my expectations for a palate cleanser. Table Bread: The bread itself was unremarkable, but the generous amount of butter was commendable. I cannot believe that there is only one server for all the tables.
