$12 for a small cafe con leche and toast
    Amanda F.

Fire Cuban sandwich (not a traditional Cuban sandwich but still delicious) however, when I went in for a small Cuban coffee and it toast, she charged me $12. I was shocked I didn't say anything but the Cuban coffee should have been $1.50 so she looked at me, decided she could take advantage of me and changed me triple the amount.

The Cuban sandwich is amazingly delicious and tasty. Highly recommend. The cafe con leche was very delicious as well, home style. Lots of pastries and Cuban pastelitos i only see in Miami bakeries. Only 3 high stools, populated by local folks and no sure place to eat in bakery.

Finally decided to try this place after walking by it for years. I refused to try this in the past,…read morebecause I didn't like how many items they put on display. It felt like items weren't made with care and mass produced at a factory or something. I went 10 minutes before they closed and there was still 10+ of each dessert. I'm not convinced that they will dispose of them. Even if they do, it means they didn't do a good job in forecasting demand especially after being in business for multiple years. I ordered mango and yuzu. Both were too sweet and had one dimensional flavor and textures, not refreshing per their stated flavors. Even if their appearances take effort, they don't look pretty enough for me to forgive what goes in my mouth. I'm used to having patisseries with many layers and elements. Mango's sponge probably only took up 20% of the bottom, because I barely had bites of it. Most of my bites didn't have any. I didn't like how liquid the filling was. It didn't exactly ooze out but just melted into a puddle in my mouth. Yuzu looks pretty with the pink and yellow glaze, but it didn't go with the realistic fruit theme. I chose it for the flavor combination which is strawberry, yuzu, and guava. This was slightly better in terms of flavor variety in the mouth. The flower on top had a weird off putting flavor. The bottom crispy rice apparently is supposed to be chocolate but it came out plain. It was tasteless anyway, so not effective in terms of flavor or texture.

I had to run to work after an appointment so I ordered for takeout. The person taking my order was friendly. I opted for the Lumberjack and a black cold brew. I received the drink very quickly, with a short wait for the sandwich. While waiting, one member of the staff stocking up supplies on the side started chatting with me and then she offered to check up on my sandwich. She came out with it shortly thereafter. She was very friendly and helpful. The sandwich held up well during my 15-minute commute to the office. It is a really indulgent sandwich, with each bite revealing the sweetness and butteriness of the maple crueller, the saltiness of the thick cut bacon, and the savoriness of the cheese and the eggs as the yolks popped. I sipped the cold brew in between bites to cut the richness. It was a very satisfying meal. The Lumberjack is not something I would recommend you eat every day, but it's good as an occasional treat. In the past I've ordered lunch from Daily Provisions via delivery (the "Chefy" salad and the chicken milanese with arugula salad are my favorites), but I might start adding other breakfast sandwiches to the mix.

The peppery, thick bacon and the quite sweet, icing-topped cruller are a beautiful study in contrasts. The egg was nicely runny. I will say that's it's definitely not a good on-the-go sandwich, as it falls apart easily. However, I don't think this is a great spot for coffee. I was a bit underwhelmed by my latte, which tasted more like thin drip coffee than a rich, strong espresso. I also think they could offer more sweetener options.

The quality of the shot was excellent, smooth, bright, and really clean. The bar setup itself is super unique and very minimalist. They are running a really interesting under the counter espresso machine where the main bulk of the equipment is hidden away, leaving just these sleek, minimal group heads rising up from the counter. It was my first time seeing a machine of that style in person, and it looks incredibly sharp. I would absolutely come back here next time I'm in the area.
