    Lobster salad

Wow, what a great little Italian restaurant. My wife and I just spent a month in Italy and are looking for authentic intimate little restaurants just like we found all over Italy. Bernini's sure exceeded our expectations. Our waiter Cam was great. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. We took Cam up on his recommendation of the lobster salad which was large enough for 2 and absolutely delicious. For our mains, I had the Norcia pizza and my wife had the pasta with clams. Both were excellent and cooked perfectly. We felt like we were back in Italy. We can't wait to go back and try some other dishes.

The food was delicious, highly recommend others to come here and try. The service was excellent and they were very friendly. Nice quiet dinner location to come and enjoy your meal. The margarita pizza was fresh and tasty, we added extra mozzarella because it's never to much to add more. Yum! Your preference The Ricci Di Mare was very delicious. The unique rich, creamy, and buttery flavor brings a highlight to the dish that leaves your taste buds wanting more. Definitely something I recommend to others who enjoys Uni. The Carbonara Tagliatelle included Bacon, half-boiled egg, Pecorino Romano which was amazing slicing the egg and mixing the yoke together to combine the dish for an even more creamier look and taste definitely blended well together.

Special: hojicha cheesecake ala mode...creamy and light, it was a delight!

Last minute date night and as usual, everything (except the octopus) was on point. Service is always great here. Got seated at the same table we were at for our anni and same great server, Cameron. Our first time dishes this time were the medai, lobster salad and duck wellington and all three were winnahz! The special dessert, hojicha cheesecake ala mode was really light and delicious, perfect end to our date night. Bernini has become one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. I also highly recommend the uni pasta and bolognese :)

Was taken here for my birthday. I wondered what this place was like because I always passed it and saw people inside. They give out free focaccia with balsamic vinegar and oil for dipping. The focaccia was nice and fluffy. All of the pasta dishes had the perfect al dente texture and the lamb was the least gamey lamb that I had ever tried which was a nice surprise! The prices are a little pricey but for a nice dinner are on the lower end compared to other nice dining places. Would definitely recommend coming here as it is a solid Italian place.

Made reservations for two at Bernini on a busy graduation weekend. Fortunately they were the only few handful of restaurants with availability. I reserved the table and arrived early. Once we were seated, the place began to fill up as everybody decided to go out for dinner after commencement. The first wow factor was the espresso martini. You get an entire show out of it when the drink comes out. The neighboring table decided to order one just for the show so it comes highly recommended! For starters the foie gras was magical. Followed by a lull in the dining service we received a margherita pizza that was meant for the table adjacent to us and we were told to just enjoy it. This wasn't terrible as the quatro formagio pizza was quickly remade and we got to enjoy a different pizza in the meantime. The main course was the ricci di mare. The uni on the pasta was perfectly cooked. For dessert the affogato rounded off the night along with a classic style tiramisu that we both shared. Service: things broke down when all of the busy patrons arrived and frazzled the kitchen. Luckily our waiter caught wind of this and comped our two drinks so we got to see the magic show twice and I really do commend him for being so good about keeping us happy as we powered through the long wait. Overall great customer service on a busy night. The manager came by at the end to make sure we were fully satisfied and ensured the drinks were comped for the slow service. I would definitely come back again and give them another try. They had all the right intentions and I'm certain it was a rare exception rather than the norm for the kitchen.

had a nice birthday dinner at Bernini's, a restaurant I have wanted to try for a while. Our server was excellent even though I do not remember her name. Everything we ordered was delicious and the drinks were the best part.

    Great wine

This is my first time to eat here, and I like this restaurant very much. The service and food here are very good! The only thing I don't like is that the distance between the tables is very close and the guests at the next table are talking and laughing too loudly!

FREE parking in the front of the resto and in the back as well. This is such a hidden gem by Ala Moana area. The food, ambiance and service was amazing! Please go see them if you want an intimate dinner . We celebrated my birthday there with some of my besties. Enjoy!!!

Wonderful last night dinner! A local fav! Bernini is a mix of Italian, French, and Japanese influences. The lychee pop is a fun drink with a lychee bubble on top that bursts with lychee scent. We started with the lobster salad- perfect mix of all the influences. Chunks of lobster, fresh greens, and lobster gelee. A bust of flavors. Bernini is known for their pizza. We got the white sauces Norcia with mushroom truffle and sausage. The crust was so light and crispy. The carbonara was the classic egg pancetta and cheese. The squid ink pasta tasted of the sea topped with tomatoes and onion. The uni pasta was so rich and decadent- a special treat! The bolognese was also a fav- deep rich flavors. All Pastas are made in house. We were too full for dessert but they looked incredible.

Celebrated our anniversary here and everything was incredible. The truffle omelet was rich and dreamy (could have been a little softer scramble), and the carbonara was perfectly creamy with just the right bite. But the star? The prosciutto e mascarpone pizza -- next-level delicious. The salty prosciutto paired with that creamy mascarpone on a thin, crispy crust? Unreal. Had to add a soft boiled egg highly recommend to balance the salty meat. Sweet, savory, and perfectly balanced. Service was warm, the vibe was classy yet relaxed. Can't wait to come back!

CAPPUCCINO STYLE MAUI ONION SOUP and House Salad.

We went especially for their pizza which we were craving for awhile. Ordered the Margarita and Norcia Mushroom pizzas. They were delicious! Next we had the Cappuccino Style Sweet onion soup, served cold. It was so refreshing and tasty! We shared a house salad. Mixed greens were tender and the dressing subtle. For our entrees, we ordered the Granchio (King Crab Tomato Cream Sauce), Carbonara Pasta and Bolognese Rigatoni. Three unique flavors. Pasta was perfect, cooked Al Dente. Service was excellent. Atmosphere quiet and romantic. The owner offered us complimentary desserts at the end of dinner, but we were too stuffed to accept. Maybe next time! I highly recommend this long time Kaka'ako restaurant for anyone looking for a classy, yet not stuffy place to have dinner.

Went to Bernini for a girls night with my best friend and can't wait to go back! Food and service were both great! Parking is a little difficult, they only have a hand full of stalls in the front so if you go during peak hours you might need to find street parking or park in their 2nd lot behind their restaurant on kona st. Service 9/10: Upon sitting down our server came to check in on us and asked if we had any questions and asked what type of water we would like (sparkling, bottled, tap). When either of us went to the restroom our napkin would be folded on the table when we got back which I personally always find to be a nice touch at a nice restaurant. My only complaint would be sometimes our water glasses would get very low if not empty before getting a refill. Honestly not that big of a deal though since the servers are around a lot so asking wasn't a huge deal Food and drinks 9/10: We both started with a cocktail each. I had the lychee martini that the server blows up a bubble on the top of the drink at the table. Drink was good and had a lychee at the bottom. Bubble makes the drink fun and cool for pictures. My friend had the Bernini 11 which was fruity but not overly sweet. My friend and I split the Norcia pizza (mushroom, sausage, and truffle oil) and this was easily one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Definitely recommend if you prefer pizzas without tomato sauce. I had the carbonara which was also amazing! The egg was perfectly cooked and complimented the sauce. My friend ordered the uni pasta which she also enjoyed. The sauce wasn't super creamy but on the lighter side with uni on the top of the pasta. For dessert we split the molten lava cake. Personally I would have liked the middle to have more melted chocolate but my friend appreciated the cake being not overly sweet. Overall the experience was really good and I can't wait to visit again and try more things on the menu! Went home to tell my boyfriend we needed to go back for our own date night!

We ordered the Midollo Osseo, roasted bone marrow topped with pesto and served with toasted sourdough, and Cavoletti di Bruxelles, fried brussels sprouts in brown butter with Italian sausage, topped with dried cranberries, sliced almonds and Parmesan. Both appetizers were delicious! The bone marrow was unctuous and flavorful. The brussels sprouts were good but we boxed half of the order. My tablemate ordered the Risotto Funghi e Tartufo, that featured Porcini and other mushrooms, topped with sauteed foie gras, truffle oil and Parmesan. I chose Rigatoni Bolognese, featuring veal, pork and beef in tomato sauce with Pecorino Romano. The risotto was excellent; my rigatoni was very good, though I wished for a bit more tomato sauce. We boxed a large portion of the risotto. Dessert was a classic Tiramisu, and I had a cup of coffee. La Cucina's tiramisu is what we've been looking for ... one with lady fingers, creamy mascarpone, and an appropriate dusting of cocoa powder. We really enjoyed our meal at La Cucina. They weren't warm at all and didn't seem fresh, which seemed to be the trend for the other dishes as well since they weren't served hot and pretty much room temperature at best. (2/5) Service: This is where I would give it a 0/5 stars if I could. I've never been to a restaurant where customers aren't greeted as soon as they walk in or at least within 5 minutes of walking into the restaurant. We arrived 15mins early to our reservation and upon stepping in immediately noticed no host stand/designated area to check-in (granted the restaurant itself was pretty small inside so understandable) we therefore waited off to the side. Countless waitresses walked by and even the bartenders noticed us waiting off to the side yet we weren't acknowledged. Not even a quick "we'll be right with you or welcome in". After standing there huddled off to the side we decided to maybe walk further into the restaurant to see if we had to check-in somewhere else and ran into someone that seemed to be the host. She asked if she could help us and we said we hadn't been checked-in yet for our reservation. After getting our info she quickly told us to go back to the front of the restaurant. No indication of how much longer we had to wait, no okay you're all checked-in we'll get your table set up now...just "okay go back and wait in the front". Over the next 10 minutes of waiting in the front of the restaurant we were met with whispers and stares from the employees giving us the feeling of being the new student on the first day of school which left us uncomfortable to the point where we decided to wait outside. Eventually she took us to our table but you could tell she was standoffish the whole time as if we had done something wrong. Our waiter was nice but not that personable and throughout the meal we were probably checked on once or twice at most. Overall: A restaurant is only as good as its service. To me, great food brings customers in but great service brings them back and unfortunately I will not be back.

We ordered the Repetti pizza and fettuccine with diavolo sauce and meatballs. We also had the Caesar salad and focaccia bread with marinara sauce. Our server was Grace. Grace was so friendly and knowledgeable and professional. In addition to the food, Grace made the dining experience exceptional. We sat outside and even though it was a very hot day, the temperature was very comfortable under the roofed area. The Pinot Grigio was excellent! Our meal was brought out in a timely manner and Grace was an attentive server. The Caesar dressing is perfection! The diavolo sauce was delicious and just-right spicy. We loved the meatballs and the fettuccine was cooked perfectly. The pizza!!!!! Wow. Just the right amount of crisp in the crust and the toppings were a delicious combination of flavors. The focaccia with marinara could have been a meal for me. The bread was hot and crispy while also being soft and savory. I couldn't get enough of the marinara. We had a lot of leftovers and ate some for dinner and still have more for tomorrow. Repetti's will be a new place for us to dine and bring friends as often as possible. We were so impressed and could not have wanted any of the experience to be different. Fantastic in every way!

We had a family dinner--for eight--at Mangiamo by 604. I was excited to have my father and brother…read moreexperience this establishment, as I had a great experience two years ago. My father and brother are both military veterans and enjoyed the fact that this venue was situated at a golf course they patronized before. We all ordered drinks--I ordered a bottle of wine, taking advantage of the Half-off Wine Wednesdays; some tried the alcohol specials and others simply elected to have soda. I ordered a few appetizers for the table and those went quickly: calamari, bruschetta, and artichoke dip. Yum! Main entrees followed and everyone seemed to enjoy their selections. We ordered dessert and were disappointed that they ran out of creme brulee...my father ordered the cheesecake and thoroughly enjoyed it. My only reason for not giving five stars has to do with the outdoor seating. I wish the chairs were more comfortable, as we sat there for awhile, waiting for our server to take our large group order along with waiting for food to come out. There is adequate parking and the restrooms are clean and accessible. An elevator is located in the lobby for those who are not able to easily climb the flight of stairs to the venue. I wish the signage was better, as my 74 year old father took the outside steps, as he thought that was the entrance, per signage downstairs.

I don't know how the elderly lady with walker was able to get up the stairs or they weren't able to dine there. I didn't mind this place. It's not like Assaggio, but more like Olive Garden. Food was okay but the view and ambience were nice, especially at Christmas at Night! It's a huge restaurant with seating for parties with a lot of free parking shared with the golfers at the golf course. Indoor and outdoor seating. The last time, my friends weren't too impressed, but we did try variety of dishes from pizza, salad, pasta and appetizers. They have some specials from time to time. So sad that tomorrow is their last day of business according to my friend. Sad to see many restaurants are closing soon.
