Had dinner at Bernini and left impressed by both the variety and quality of the food. We started with the oysters and the bleu cheese mussels. The oysters were fresh and packed with flavor, while the mussels stole the show with a rich, creamy sauce that had us reaching for every last bite. The Margherita pizza was simple but done almost right-- just needed a few drops of marinara sauce, and it would've been out of the park, but it had a crispy crust, plenty of cheese, fresh tomatoes, and basil that brought everything together. The Chicken Parmesan was another standout, featuring a crispy breaded cutlet that was bigger than what I was expecting it was covered in a flavorful marinara and a generous layer of melted cheese over pasta. the best entrées in my opinion , the veal chop was tender and juicy, topped with a savory mushroom gravy and served alongside creamy risotto and broccoli. The filet was cooked perfectly and paired well with mashed potatoes, asparagus, and crispy onion rings that added a nice crunch. To drink, the Raspberry Lemondrop was refreshing, fruity, and looked just as good as it tasted. The mocktail and lemonade were also great options for balancing out the rich dishes. The atmosphere felt lively and upscale without being overly formal, making it a great spot for a date night or dinner with friends. The server Kimberly) was attentive throughout the meal, and every dish arrived looking presentation-worthy. Overall: Bernini delivered a well-rounded dining experience with fresh seafood, excellent pasta dishes, quality steaks, and a great cocktail selection. The bleu cheese mussels and veal chop were my personal favorites, but there really wasn't a weak dish on the table. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Ybor City.

FAVORITE TAMPA RESTAURANT: I went to Bernini in Tampa 4 nights in a row during my trip, which says a lot by itself. It's the first restaurant I'll be returning to on my next trip back. The Cioppino was my favorite dish. I'm a seafood lover, and this one was outstanding. The Spaghetti Bolognese, Penne Sicilia, and Crispy Duck were all very well executed too. Other customers I spoke with were raving about the Pork Osso Bucco. And the Strawberry Basil Gimlet Martini was the best martini I've ever had. Great atmosphere, consistently excellent food, and outstanding service from Shelby. The management of this restaurant is very good, and you can see it in all aspects of the experience. If you love Italian, this is an easy choice. If you go, ask for her.

Omg!!! The duck dish is to die for!!! You may say I'm exaggerating but it's that good. I am a steak girl through and through, and I chose the duck each and every time. The venue itself is small, right in the heart of ybor. Not the cleanest place, could be due to the old building, but the drinks are cheap during happy hour and the entree are also half priced during that time. The service is not the best, and it takes sometime before you get your drinks and food but overall great!!!!

Last Sunday my daughters and I stopped at Bernini for early dinner and we were surprised that entrées and drinks were part of happy hour. The service was great. We enjoyed our drinks, and my kids were happy with their meals. My pasta, however was a bit disappointing, it was not warm enough, and the sauce was not rich and thick as I would have liked. Our server was great and offered to get me something else but I didn't want. Overall, it was a great experience and I appreciate the kindness of my server.

I love everything about Bernini and have been for the last 20 years: $3 Martinis with Skyy Vodka and half off main courses till 7PM.. Bernini's is a staple in Ybor and in my heart. The blue cheese stuffed olives give me life here for my buck and the chefs in the kitchen know exactly what they're doing. Salmon and steak ALWAYS cooked perfect. There's ample room and a cute bar to sit at if there's room. First come first serve.

The happy hour is one of the best in Tampa! $4 martinis?? Can't beat that! The service is lively and top tier. Special attention is paid to each and every guest. The ambiance is quiet, and relaxing. Great for groups or for a post work wind down. The food is definitely more than enough for your money! I was tipsy and full. They're definitely worth checking out and having a time!

We stopped in without reservations and luckily they had room for 4. The atmosphere is very nice, except that the air conditioning was blowing on us constantly and since it was cold outside it wasn't necessary. The menu was perfect for me as I love Italian food. There is a nice wine menu, as well as appetizers and salads. I started with a glass of wine, which was a good pour. I ordered the soup of the day, which was an herbed chicken and the gnocchi. After a few minutes she came back and said they had no gnocchi so I settled on the lasagna. After asking for bread, it finally came and was delicious. My soup came piping hot and was fantastic! So much flavor and it warmed me up as the A/C was ridiculously cold. Our 4 meals arrived at once and my lasagna looked great. And guess what? It was great! The sauce was super tasty and this was veal lasagna and had great layers of everything. Service wasn't great, but food and atmosphere was fantastic. I saw the pizzas and they looked wonderful. I will be back.

Atmosphere - The restaurant has a lively atmosphere. There is seating on two levels and a large bar on the first level. My one complaint is that the tables are extremely close to one another. Service - our server was friendly and helpful. However, attentiveness lacked a bit, which I would attribute to a very busy evening. Food - the menu is not huge, but there are enough options that most people should be able to find something that appeals to them. I ordered the burrata caprese salad as a starter and it was very good. The burrata was ample and extremely fresh and creamy. I had the veal lasagna for my entree. The dish was served hot and tasted very good. While I would have liked more cheese, the pasta sauce was excellent and made up for the minimal amount of cheese. Overall - I am a big fan of Italian food and this restaurant measures up well in comparison to other restaurants in the Tampa area.

They have $3 sky martinis from 11:30 to 7:00 daily. They are all so delicious I can't decide what my favorite was. I loved the espresso martini and the blood orange cosmo martini. We sat at the bar and got great service. We watched the pizza station make homemade pizza the whole time we had to order one. They all looked so good it was hard to choose. We decided on the salsiccia which was a sausage pizza with tomatoes. It was so delicious. The place smelled good, had clean bathrooms, and white table cloths. We will be back to try the pasta.

My favorite place for happy hour and dinner in the area. They have the best martinis, and a great happy hour deal. The food is always delicious too, especially love the blackened salmon and their house made bread. Everyone who works there is so kind, remembers you and makes you feel welcome. Just such a fun spot all around. Mackenzie is especially wonderful! Thank you Berninis.

We did not originally plan to dine here, as a neighboring restaurant closed without notifying us. Despite that, this restaurant accommodated our party of 16 without hesitation--and what a fortunate turn of events it turned out to be. The staff was exceptional and incredibly accommodating. While the dining area felt a bit tight initially at 7:00 p.m., it became very comfortable once the dinner rush subsided. I ordered the pork leg shank osso buco, and it was hands down the best I have ever had--highly recommended. Dessert was the tiramisu, which was excellent, paired perfectly with an Irish coffee. Every bar drink we tried was well-crafted and spot on. An unexpected find and a truly memorable dining experience.

$3 SKYY martinis everyday from 11:30am until 7pm!

We stumbled upon Bernini while looking for a place for dinner before a show down the street at the Ritz. The menu posted outside advertised $3 SKYY martinis and 1/2 off entrees, which sounded like a great deal to me. The inside is nice in a classy, old school kind of way. It was very busy and loud inside. We sat at the bar, and service was great. The bartender handled the busyness with ease. The cocktails and food were great, and the happy hour prices made for an upscale dining experience at a reasonable price.

We visited for Mother's Day and were pleasantly surprised by their special offer, $3 cocktails and a complimentary butter cake for every mother. Beyond the promotion, the service was excellent, the food was flavorful, and the ambiance was unique and inviting. Who doesn't like to each in a former bank which adds a distinctive charm to the experience. We ordered the Di Parma pizza and the Cigar City Chop salad. Both were delicious, with the pizza being a standout, I highly recommend it. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'm looking forward to returning soon.

    Ask the Community - Bernini

Do they have happy hour specials on other cocktails besides martinis?

They have a few other drinks on the HH menu along with the Martinis.

    Do they do takeout orders?

    Yes

    What is the dress code?

Anything from casual to smart causal depending on the time and occasion. I wore heels, jeans and a pretty top, but it was happy hour. I saw people trickling in for dinner who wore dresses and heels.

I was in Tampa for work and stumbled upon this spot, and from the moment I walked in, I felt genuinely welcomed by the staff. The energy was warm and relaxed, the kind of place where you instantly feel at ease. I enjoyed it so much that I came back twice in one day. For food, I ordered the Steak and Holly, which was packed with flavor. After I had finished the steak, I mentioned to my colleague how much juice and seasoning was still left at the bottom of the bowl. Unbeknownst to me, the bartender overheard and came out with a bowl of rice so I could finish it all. That small, thoughtful gesture really stood out. Special shout-out to the bartender, Jesus--he really made the experience. I also tried several specialty cocktails--many made on the spot based on the flavors and alcohol I requested. The bartenders were attentive, creative, and clearly passionate about what they do. Later that evening, I came back for the "Sunday School" experience, and the vibe completely delivered. The ambiance screamed lounge-meets-speakeasy, and the space felt welcoming and inclusive. Have you ever been blessed by stumbling upon a gem while traveling? Because that's exactly what this was. A true Ybor find, and a place I'll absolutely return to next time I'm in Tampa.

But other than being one scary venue, Spookeasy has food and drinks that are worth hanging around for while you take in the spookiness of the place. A full coffee bar, they already have my name on it, but they also feature sandwiches, snacks, salads, and other bar food. While I came here for a Death Cafe event, I decided to make myself comfortable by getting myself some food and lattes. Thankfully, the place serves up food that makes a visit here worth more than just a quick look around. I got myself a hot marshmallow flavored latte, and a breakfast sandwich. The latte was delicious, and I loved the marshmallow flavor I got with it to give it a more unique taste perfect for winter. It gave me just the right kick while I waited for my event to start. The breakfast sandwich seems simple enough, bacon, eggs, cheese on toast, but each ingredient was thoughtfully prepared to make one filling meal. I can tell the egg is fresh cracked and the bacon was perfectly crispy, all held together by two slices of thick toast. I also loved the fries that came with it, well seasoned with cheese sauce AND melted cheese, so I was pretty occupied and well fed during my meeting. The staff here is great, laid back, and super-friendly to talk to. They have a good vibe about them that makes me want to come back to haunt--er visit them, haha, Death Cafe meeting or not.

My girlfriend and I were in town for a show and I was looking forwarding to continuing to have a good time, but when we made it downstairs, unbeknownst to us, it is EXTREMELY frowned upon to have your own water bottle. The bartender walks up to us and gets instantly pissed that my friend was holding a water bottle from our hotel room. He proceeds to put a can of Liquid Death on the bar and open it. In my mind, I'm like, ohh, how sweet! Well he must have said something as he did that about how you can't have outside 'drinks'. My friend naively starts chugging the water to get rid of it. The bartender almost jumps from behind the bar to escort us out. Meanwhile, I'm just like wtf happened?! As we try to ask him, he was extremely rude and proceeded to treat us like criminals and kicked us out. Walking away, we were more confused than anything. It's so unfortunate because we were ready to buy drinks and have a good time. What a crappy ending to our night.

A full service bar and restaurant on one side and a lounge type atmosphere on the other side with a live DJ. They play a variety of rnb and hip hop from old school to modern day. I really had a nice time. The reason only 4 stars was due to the host not being actively present at the reception area when you walk in. He was too busy on the lounge side dropping it like it was hot and helping the bottle girls "hold" the sign. We stood at the host stand upon entry for a while until someone went to get him from the other side. The food was just "ok". For the price of the food I expected more. I had the lemon pepper honey wings and the chicken and French toast. The wings were not cooked through and served in a bowl which made it very difficult to eat. It came with 2 cornbread muffins that were dense and very dry. The French toast was great. I opted for the one with peaches and icing. It was great. It was served with chicken tenders. Again, in a bowl, which made it very difficult to cut, as I had to dig in the bowl. They were ok, a little on the dry side, the breading was falling off but they were edible. The drinks were flowing and the vibe was good. No complaints there. Would I go back??? Yes, I'll probably try something different on the menu. I feel like if the service was a bit better, more attention to detail on the food and the plating of food was different it would have earned 5 stars. But I had an overall nice time.

Sadly, they do NOT offer their fabulous cocktails upstairs here, even though there is a bar. If you want to drink something stellar, you will need to walk yourself back down the two flights of stairs, and get it yourself. Instead, they have instructions on each table of how to order a standard cocktail on-line; you choose your basic booze, then your basic mixer, and a cocktail server will bring it out to you and take your credit card. Efficient, but very boring. The venue is small, but the sound was good, with the exception of the two magpies behind me screaming and nattering the whole time. Why go to a concert if you're just going to talk through the entire thing? But I digress.... This is a wonderful venue to go see some surprisingly good artists, and I highly recommend a visit.

The interior is cozy, dark, and incredibly unique. We arrived early while it was still quiet and sat at the bar. Our host/bartender/server, Chanel, took care of us. While she was pleasant, the service felt a bit disorganized and it took quite a while to receive our drinks, which was surprising given how few people were there at the time. The Food: The flavors are definitely there--tasty and with a nice Caribbean kick--but the composition of the dishes left me disappointed. I ordered the Oxtail Shepherd's Pie ($35), and while the flavor was good, it was overwhelmingly mashed potatoes and corn bread. For that price, I expected more than just a few small pieces of oxtail and a tiny portion of cooked greens and onions. The Verdict: If you love carbs and cornbread, you'll be in heaven. However, the menu feels like it needs a modern touch. There is only one salad option, and the meat-to-starch ratio is way off. I'd love to see more protein-focused options and fresh greens added to the menu to balance out the heavy sides. Great for a drink and the "wow" factor of the hidden door, but the value for the food isn't quite there yet. Also a lot of fried food, which I rarely eat.

If you are in Ybor City and trying to enjoy yourself without lighting your wallet on fire, Barrio…read moreTacos is a very smart move. What I appreciated most is the build your own taco option, because it allows you to order exactly what you want without paying for a bunch of filler ingredients you were going to push to the side anyway. When you strip it down to the proteins and toppings you actually like, the cost savings are real. In a place like Ybor, where prices can creep up quickly, that matters. Now, the à la carte menu can feel a little confusing at first glance. It is not the most straightforward ordering system if you are just breezing through. But once someone walks you through it and you understand how to piece your order together, it becomes completely worth it. You end up with exactly what you want, and you are not overpaying for things you did not ask for. The vibe was great. The service was friendly and patient, which helps when you are trying to decode the menu. And the location is ideal. There is an outdoor patio with umbrellas on the sunny side of the street, which gives you options. You can sit in the sun if you want that warm Florida glow, or you can stay shaded if you are protecting your skin but still want to be outside watching the action unfold on the strip. And let's be honest, half the entertainment in Ybor is people watching. Add in the random roosters casually strolling around like they own the neighborhood, and you have a full show with your meal. I loved everything about this place and highly recommend it if you want to save a few bucks on food while still soaking up everything Ybor City has to offer. Good tacos, good vibes, good people watching. Hard to beat that combination.

What a DOPE, PIRATE THEMED, speakeasy to go to grab some delicious drinks! Totally blown away!…read more Tucked, downtown Tampa you enter through a secret bookcase door and you enter a very low key pirate bar! Lighting is dim, which is part of the concept. (Auto flash is needed for pics) The joint, is VERY CLEAN! The staff is awesome and very attentive! They understand process. The drinks are SOOO WELL MADE! I had a Zombie as my first drink, and it is very well presented and STRONG! I prefer,my first drink at an establishment to be strong cause then I can lighten it up later. Then I had a Rum Barrel, not as strong, but well presented and delicious! Note: Prices for drinks are worth every dime! They have a small food menu, but everything on the menu looked delicious, but I did not eat there. This speakeasy is attached to a British pub which I went for food after. (Review to come) All-in-all great spot to come and have a drink you are well treated, appreciated and just a fun experience! I will DEFINITELY come back here for a delicious drink and DEFINITELY will try something off the food menu. I'll just make sure next time I won't go there after a big breakfast lol! Five stars alllllll day long!!!

When we came back to the hostess we were told that we had cancelled our reservation despite never getting a call or text from the establishment. They could not show us any proof of this cancellation and upon further investigation we discovered that the hostess had typed in the phone number wrong and the system cancelled our names from the waitlist (highlighting his lie that he confidently told us that we had cancelled our reservation and that they couldn't see the waitlist communication after it was sent). Due to the error of their end we asked for him to streamline our names on the waitlist and he became combative and told us that he was not comfortable serving us and asked us to leave. We spoke to the manager and they reiterated that they believe we had cancelled our reservation despite having proof that the hostess was the issue. Eventually after speaking to the general manager on duty he was able to magically find multiple open spots for us at the bar and was completely comfortable with serving us despite the allegations made by the hostess. And then after all that waiting, the bartenders were rude, asked us if we were the people causing all those problems at the front, and drinks were awful. Definitely not worth your time. Everyone is rude and you will feel demeaned just for trying to get access to their "exclusive" speakeasy.
