While wandering with my Finnish Swedish friend on what was booze fueled night of debauchery in Hollywood we somehow found our way here. The food was amazing and it was stellar service by Pauline who took care of/endured us. The front of house were A+ in patience. We had a pizza which had a slight drizzle of honey which made it taste great. I also had a pasta with a sauce to die for that had shrimp. The quality of the food blew me away. Definitely not the place to come to for a slice because they sell whole pies on me. I like the fact that the situated in a pretty big parking lot everything is made Fresh and right in front of you. Wow so freaking good. The restaurant is small but so cute and clean. We ordered the meatballs as an appetizer and it was so good the marinara was 10/10. We also got the Caesar salad with anchovies so creamy and delicious. And the lobster pizza was the winner of the night wow creamy lobster pizza amazing!! Lastly we got a crème brûlée dessert and it was perfect crunch of the sugary top the mouse wasn't too sweet so it balanced perfect with the brûlée topping. I want to thank Vincenzo for being our server he was so nice and attentive. He was also a highlight of the night and made the food an even a better experience. To sum up my experience with Berri's, I would say this is the most expensive case of intense heartburn I've had the displeasure of experiencing in quite some time. Please tell me why a plain cheese pizza costs exactly as much as a pizza that has like 7 toppings? My boyfriend has ordered pizza and dessert from Berri's on several occasions, and I have been consistently disappointed with their pizza every time. We got a 20" plain cheese pizza for $38 (not including taxes, driver benefits fee, service fee, and a delivery fee) and it was shimmering and swimming in grease. Also, there's something off-putting about their pizza sauce... I can't quite put my finger on it... to me, it has an odd tangy flavor, an unusual greasy-looking translucent orangeish color, and a strange aftertaste. To add insult to injury, the thin crust and the weight of the grease made for a very floppy pizza. Although I used a napkin to sop up some of the grease, I instantly regretted eating just that one slice and I felt sick immediately afterwards. The only redeeming item we got was the tiramisu *heart eyes* Sooo good! My BF and I could each eat an entire piece to ourselves; it's so freakin' good! For some reason, the tiramisu at this location is much better than the other location. When we ordered tiramisu from the other Berri's it tasted like it had absorbed all of the flavors of whatever other food was around it in the freezer or fridge. I don't understand why restaurants don't automatically store their desserts separately away from savory menu items that contain meat, garlic, and aromatic herbs & spices. It was gross. Anyhow... we'd come back to Berri's for the bomb ass tiramisu, but I'm not giving their pizza any more chances. read more

This said the chef and most of the staff is here at the Sunset location where they were able to recreate a mini me berri's, the vibe and food still right on point. Visiting Berri's to pick up some pizzas for lunch. I was the only customer at noon, so service was cute and friendly. My order was Togo, but I heard they are a cool late night spot after clubs. The menu has so much to offer. If you like hookah, well you can order it here for $90+. I ordered a lunch special pepperoni and spinach pizza along with the Lobster and shrimp pizza. This is a tough review to update. I will say that I let well over a month pass between my more recent visit, and within that time, the prices have jumped significantly and my beloved flatbread pizza went from $16 to $20. I did decide to go with it this last time, asking when the prices increased and the nice guy at the register said it was in effect as of mid-October or so. Depressingly, I enjoyed this as I have in the past. Unfortunately, I'll have to cease my visits due to this price hike. And this wasn't even late-night, this was a little after their 5p opening. One saving grace is if I read the menu correctly (which I attached), the 12" pizza version of my favorite would be $18, which is a little more than what it was before, but a little less than what it is now. I guess this could be an alternative. UPDATE: I called them late January, and this is no longer the case; it's all $20+ from here. I took the photo the last time I visited as something to refer to, but will admit this was taken in fall of 2020. To make this easier for me, I even tried to find something wrong with my food, with the service, but I admit, I couldn't come up with anything to dislike. I ordered Berri's pizza on a late night when nothing else was open and haven't been there before. First and foremost, the pizza box it came in was FIRE! Matte black with a gold foil logo and I like traditional pizza boxes, it has a ribbon on the side that pulls out - as though I just got a scarf from Saks. The presentation and branding is so on point! Not sure if this was a recent remarketing strategy but you have my attention!! Now let's get to the taste. I got the large pepperoni and sausage pizza and it was perfect. The crust was thin but not Sicilian pizza thin, more like NY style. It was seasoned perfectly, plenty of toppings and huge pieces of sausage instead of little pieces like I'm used to elsewhere. The best part was that I got 2 pizzas for $30 and the branding, the taste, all exceeded my expectations.
