Very disappointed!! Bought my garage doors from them and was going to have springs and wheels replaced by them. Was told that ?Besser? had bought them out the beginning of 2025, but JMK has "not changed". When I asked if they could give me an estimate over the phone I was told they had to come out and they charge $65 to come out. If I used their service this fee would go toward the repairs. I said I would call several other companies that don't charge a "trip fee". Then magically she told me that they could "waive" this fee!! I received multiple calls back (voicemails) that they (JMK) wanted my business, but I didn't want to do business with deceptive practices. I decided to use a highly rated "smaller" local (Pomona) company that gave me GREAT service and a GREAT PRICE!! Don't use these bigger companies that can afford to ADVERTISE on TV!!! I just had Louis with JMK Garage Doors out for a service call that required adding the light modules to my existing side mount liftmasters so I could get online access. The job, though simple from a basic installation was complicated by the fact I had previously registered the units under a different email address that was no longer active. Louis got it handled, but it was not easy. Even though the service call took longer than anticipated, Louis did not cut his time short by letting me program our car remote. He took the additional time to do the job complete and when he left everything was working perfectly. He was also the service person that installed a new opener at my son's house in La Verne. Same 5 star level of service. The prices are very reasonable and you will not find a more capable person anywhere!!! Used JMK to get a new garage door opener installed. Called for an appointment, they were able to do it in the same day. Communication was easy and person I talked to was very nice and helpful. She explained all of the options they were able to offer me, no hard selling, she just provided me the facts and pricing. When I made my choice, she gave me a time frame to expect the installer. Installer arrived on time and did the work in a clean manner and was done in about an hour. I went out to get in my car to go to work this morning and the garage door would not open. Womp womp. I started by calling Superior Doors in Covina, but they were not available -- no shade to them! They're great, they just couldn't come today -- and they recommended JMK. JMK answered the phone promptly and kindly, was able to fit me in today, asked a couple of questions and then gave me a price which I thought was fine. They gave me a 2-hour window. The workers called me well within the 2-hour window and gave me an update of their arrival time. They arrived within 5 minutes of when they said, in a beautiful shiny clean truck. They were extremely nice and polite, they fixed the door in about 30 minutes and were on their way. I especially appreciated their demeanor and the way they treated me nicely because it was hot as the dickens and I'm sure the garage was horribly uncomfortable to work in. First things first, they answered the phone. The person (sorry I don't know her name) gave me a fair estimate and contacted the tech & arranged a service call. This company took excellent care of my needs today. Because this is a holiday weekend, most other places wanted to schedule next week. Believe me, when I say, that would have been a little more than a pain. The tech, Luis/ Lewis/ Louis was fantastic -- over 20 years of experience and knew exactly what he was doing. He replaced a well used opener with a brand new unit. He adjusted the springs and installed a reinforcement bracket to stop another headache later. Thanks again to LUIS, (please don't call me Louie.) Just my luck my garage door broke...I had looked up some YouTube videos of how to fix it myself, but I knew it was out of my scope. I had scanned Yelp and JMK Garage doors came up. I didn't bother to look at any other company, I only called them and spoke to John. He was very nice ( he may be the owner). I had a couple of things to do and he was trying to get someone out to me. The spring on my garage door broke and the door itself was in bad shape. I called the office and the owner came himself to give me an estimate within an hour of calling. As we were surveying the damage done to the door, I asked if I should have the motor replaced as well because it was loud and really noisy. He told me that would add several hundreds of dollars to the estimate but, more importantly, it was unnecessary. He had tested the motor and said that Genie motors are just generally loud in nature. Maybe I'm just a cynical person but his honesty and truthfulness was refreshing and pleasantly surprising. He was not trying to sell me products I didn't need or scare me into thinking the new door wouldn't work with all new parts. His estimate was sound and he gave me helpful suggestions to improve the style of the door. The installer came at the appointed hour and was very friendly and professional. He did the job in 2.5 hours which was shorter than the 3 hour estimate. The door looks fantastic and I could not be happier with the product and service that I received.
