The woman who made the appointment for me when I called, was polite and friendly and was able to make an appointment for the next day. She told me the repair person would text me when they were on the way to me. The next day, as stated, the repair tech (Lewis) texted me to let me know he was on the way. He arrived shortly after texting me. He was polite, and asked me about the issues we were having with the door, which I told him. After looking everything over, he informed me of what the issue was and proceeded to fix the problem and oil/maintenance the door. We had a new garage door & opener installed by JMK about a month ago & we're extremely happy with the product & with the service provided by JMK. We called them back for a few minor things that we hadn't noticed during the install: A little chipping of paint on one of the panels that occurred during shipping, and a small gap in the seal on either end of the door due to the unevenness of our concrete floor. Had my door put on years ago after adding on to the house over the garage. The opening wasn't quite right, so he had to adjust things so the door would open/close correctly. Been working like a charm for 10+ years. Needed it fixed a couple of years ago because someone apparently bumped the door with their car (of course nobody in my family knows who! ). In the end, they replaced the profane rebel with a new respectful Marantec garage door opener--one that minds its manners and keeps the noise down to a minimum. After fighting with our garage for way too long, we finally called JMK. Let me tell you, Chris saved the day! It's amazing how long you sort of deal with things that can be fixed so easily. Our garage door would always get stuck and go back up for no reason and we always had to pull it a little to help it go all the way down. We had pretty much the same experience with JMK as everyone else has in their reviews. We had a spring snap, trapping our car inside the garage. JMK was prompt to respond to our phone call, gave us an estimate over the phone and scheduled an appointment time the following day. John showed up on a Saturday, on-time, and with all the parts and equipment needed to do the job. He had the broken spring replaced in 20 minutes and then took the time to adjust, lube and inspect the rest of the door, lifter, tracks, etc. He even found and replaced some broken hinges I didn't even notice! John was professional, clean, courteous and did great work. After asking a few questions about the door, was told by John (the founder) that he would replace my single spring with two springs, as it should be. Asked how much more that would be. Fast and friendly service. Arrived @ scheduled time. I can't speak for $$$ because I've never had a service call before but it wasn't cheap. I must say though.. I got what I needed and am not complaining. I wanted it done right. Right away he picked up on how wrong it was installed (From Lowe's) and it's supposed to have safety features that were not working so the door doesn't keep closing when it hits something ( choice word) UGG! Very Dangerous! The repair was done! Plus he serviced it.. ( clean, adjust speed, oiled, and reset the code so we could access our keypad) and I had him replace the old seal weather stripping on the bottom of the garage door.
