They also have a drive through and huge parking lot. In the banh mi, they don't skimp on the vegetables but they do skimp on the meat. The baguette was very hard, sadly too crispy making it painful and messy to bite into. Pate was good but they put a lot of mayo on it, which helps cut down on the hard baguette but resulted in mayo dripping out. Service was quick and friendly enough. It had been years since I had been there but I remembered the sandwiches were really good. Now, the baguette is very crisp on the outside and actually not the best to eat in a car but that didn't stop me from digging in! Love the combo of flavors from what is basically a Vietnamese sub. The daikon, carrot, cucumber, cilantro and jalapeño add a symphony of flavors and texture. So refreshing! For protein I went with the pork. The sandwich was good but could have been better. It was very dry; next time I will ask for extra fish sauce and dressing. It was quite filling so ate half and then the other half for dinner. With the best Bahn Mi at An Xuyen, a Vietnamese bakery and sandwich shop close by on SE Foster, the next time I'm craving this sandwich, I'll drive a bit further. They said that couldn't accept card payment so they took cash. In case they did end up accepting card, my mom gave them her card information. September comes by and my mom sees a bank statement saying that my mom got charged twice. They accepted cash payment which we had the receipt for and charged us again on the credit card. So now Best Baguette owes us $485.73. My mom went in to show the receipt and they did nothing about it and were not willing to refund us.
