We went to several phone companies to get 3 new cell phones. Then, we decided to buy them at Best Buy, as we did not need $1100 cell phones. Well, they said yes they can transfer our info to new phones. They said buy this 2 or 3 year insurance and it will cover anything you buy from us to be repaired by the Geek Squad. Well, after our phones arrived 3 days late, turns out they did not know how to transfer LG K20 to Samsung A17, told us the phones were too old, phone had a bad plug in area, then, told us they do not work on cell phones. Excuse me, but when you walk in, huge area selling cell phones, and insurance for anything you buy there to be repaired there???? Apparently, just not cell phones! Well, turns out all we needed was a $5.00 cord that is micro usb on one end and C usb on the other, transfers thru the cable in a few minutes, even all my years of texts to family, which no company in lancaster, all the major carriers did not know how to transfer texts!!!! Apparently, they do not know how to use the internet for research and education, asked and answered, in a moment! don't go there's ,no way to call the store, you talk to a guy in that's probably at call center in India that only says he can do nothing and will not let you talk to the store . I bought a open box frig and stove and paid for it . the salesman acted like i had at least a week to pick it up. He never said I only had 5 days and they would return the items for re sale without any warning. we had heavy rains almost every day and flooding. I Highly recommend Best Buy in Lancaster, Ohio. Here's why! I couldn't get anywhere with Amazon's Ai and I received NO CHOICE to speak to a live agent. So I went to Best Buy's website and entered my search for a new TV. First their Ai tried to answer but I couldn't get an answer BUT THEN another message popped up asking if I wanted to speak with a live agent and I typed YES! I talked to the best live agent who took their time and was very impressive and helpful to the max. The agent asked questions that were very relevant to my needs to get a great TV! The agent sent me numerous details on many televisions and reasonable prices. Best Buy in Lancaster, Ohio, is Better By Far in actual great live customer service. Went to buy a tv for my mom. I found a pioneer on the shelf under a price tag of $79.99. I took it up to the counter and it rang up $109.99. The staff checked and it was their mistake, but they refused to sell it to me for the price they had it under. That is false advertising to me. It's not my fault they put the wrong television there. Lousy service and very time I go there Lancaster store. I wander and wait for twenty to thirty minutes waiting for someone to help me usually because the item I am looking for is either locked in a cabinet that does not allow consumers to see items they may have in stock. Best Buy believes items that can be delivered between and hour and two weeks are "In Stock" items. Items for sale that are not physically available at the location either online or in a physical store should not be listed as being "In Stock" if it has to be delivered from another location. I wanted to purchase a Sony lens and could not because it was not physically in the store despite being told it was in stock prior to driving to this store only to be told Incan get it in two days. Then I needed a Sony camera battery that was listed as being in stock and when I called to verify the battery I needed was physically in the store I was told they had three. When I arrived, there were none after waiting a half hour to be helped. The lady that helped me alleges she spoke to me and said they would need to be delivered. She lied, the told me she checked the case and there were three available. A few weeks later I needed a Sony lens that was listed as being available in store, I called to verify it was in stock at the Lancaster store and was told it is available in store. When I arrived I was told once again it was in stock but would require a three day wait before it was delivered. My latest trip involved searching for a down throw home theater subwoofer. I had an SKU and the item pulled up on my phone when I was finally helped by a teenaged employee. He didn't even know what a down throw subwoofer was and told me they have never carried such a subwoofer. He said he would check with another employee more knowledgeable with home theater systems and never returned. I left the store and checked my phone to see if the item I wanted was still available and it was, so I went back into the store. I found it in the same aisle I met the employee in, so for the first time in four trips I actually left the Lancaster Ohio Best Buy with the item I went there to purchase. Always have a long wait to get help, always get little or no assistance when I do get "Help". I have bought lots of things from Best Buy/Lancaster, but have never had so much trouble as I'm having now, My 42' tv THEY LEFT ON MY PORCH. I can't lift it so I called them. I AM HOME ALL DAY AND DID NOT KNOW THEY WERE BRINGING IT. I called them because I am 88 yrs old and cannot lift it. I wanted them to hook it up and make sure it works,, Well that will be done on the 11th. OK .... But here it is....the TV is outside all night and I am not happy with that. Why didn't someone notify me that they were bringing it today....OR KNOCK on my door when they brought it. OR, they could have called by phone to let me know they were bringing it today and to make sure someone was here to let them in. I am so disappointed with Best Buy Lancaster. Stopped in to get a new monitor or a new cable to use with an Lenovo ThinkCentre M700. I was told my only option was a new monitor and he started with the most expensive model. I was like wait a minute why not ask me what my budget is or how I'm using this set up before jumping to the top of the line gamer models. This computer is going to be used a dozen times a year for a nonprofit youth program to help with training. I ended up watching a few videos online and ordering a $20 adaptor plug, online. Made a claim have still have not gotten a call. Purchased appliances for another property and after weeks of emails delaying and scheduling to be available for install ALL 5 APPLIANCES WERE NEVER INSTALLED!! Missing handle for dishwasher and door to fridge will not latch correctly!! I ordered an item online and had to drive 45 minutes to the store to pick it up because they wouldn't ship it. I asked a friend to pick it up as he drove near the store on his way home from work. The website said it could be picked up in an hour. When he got there, the item was still on the shelf, no one knew anything about my order and no one cared enough to help him. The "it's not my job" mentality was everywhere. There were no other customers in the store, and he said there were over 20 EMPLOYEES WALKING AROUND. I called the store to see what the problem was, and hung up after being on hold for 20 minutes and not speaking to a real person. Is it any wonder that no one shops at Best Buy anymore? Had to deliver another one. Suppose to receive new fridge today...once again, was told it was back ordered to January. on Jan 1 2020 I went to the Lancaster store around 6 Pm I wanted to purchase a gas stove ,I told the salesman I was converting to propane because of the electric being out a lot I told him I liked the Sangsom stainless model. He rang it up and I paid with a card,the range had good reviews. The next day I read that the range would need a propane conversion kit. So I called he Lancaster best buy I went through all the automated stuff then after 15 or 20 minutes a guy answered . I ask him if the range had a propane conversion with it .After being on hold for quite a while he came back on and said it was a natural gas only stove. I said well I need to cancel the order. He said he was at a Columbus store and the call got bounced to him. I later to call and see if I could straighten this out but after waiting for 15 min. the phone hung up. So I got on line and canceled the order. It had boxes to check on why the order was canceled. But none that said they sold the wrong product. Train your sales people. I may buy an open box item that I can pick up that day in the future. read more

My wife and I went to purchase a Verizon phone that we saw on the website. I had been in retail for over twenty years( in fact I helped open this location as a Sun TV before they went out of business and Best Buy bought the location).A young lady ( Brandi) was the best! She handled the activation and took the time to explain and go over features of the phone and the service with Verizon. She is personable and a real asset to the store. I ordered a washer and it was delivered today , it didn't come with the warranty paperwork that I payed for and it was left sitting in the middle of my floor instead of being installed , I could have installed it myself but to do so requires a certain wrench (sold separately of course)the delivery men basically dropped it and ran , while one was keeping me busy with the paperwork I thought the other two were installing the washer all they did was wait for me to turn my head and they were gone. Called customer service and was transferred 6 times only to be told they might be able to send someone out next week. Worst company ever, I will never buy from them again. read more

I purchased a NEW TV on July 13th. I purchased it at the Reynoldsburg store.....after they sold me on the TV they informed me they didn't have it in the store. They sent me to Lancaster to pick it up. I arrived at the Lancaster and they loaded the box in my vehicle. I got it home, and upon opening it discovered it was NOT A NEW SET! There was no remote, no stand, no manual, no protective wrapping. The screen was scratched and the back was covered in dust. I packaged it back up and returned it when they opened on the morning of the 14th. I spent almost an hour in the Lancaster store, a good 30 minutes of that getting grilled on the premises I was pulling a scam! Then I'm told I had to return it to the Reynoldsburg store. I had called prior and was told to take it to Lancaster. I told them to get the Reynoldsburg store in the phone, but was told they were taking care of things. I honestly started to think they were stalling waiting on police. After an hour they finally agreed to reverse the sale and credit back my account. After all of that I was asked if I'd consider the refund if they gave me a $100 gift card. I had told them I wouldn't be buying anything at Best Buy again, so I viewed that as a smug slap in the face from them. That was one of the rudest, most unprofessional sales experiences I have ever had! I strongly suggest going anywhere instead of giving Bust Buy your hard earned money! read more
