Bought a TV in 2023 (Samsung) and didnt get any paper work for protection plan because it would "be in the system". Three yrs and the tv quit working. We were not "in the system" since 2018. We bought a Ninetendo last Dec. Among other items since 2018. They had a TV on sale, but didnt have it on display, and purchased an LG for 700.00. Made sure we got ALL the paperwork. Was told we didnt need 4 ports for games, sold us a "hub" that would work better. Got home, the tv has washed out color and hub is not recognized by tv. I paid $189 for one year of Geek Squad service. Needed help with my desktop computer. I made an appointment. I received an email confirming my appointment. and also a message that this would be a 20 minute appointment. I knew I would need a longer appointment. If they don't solve my problems within a 20 minute appointment, I was told I would have to make multiple appointments. to fix my computer. That would mean I would have to lug my computer, cords and yes, even my printer for each appointment. It sure would make sense to let me have a 40 minute appointment and get my computer fixed in one visit, but they only do 20 minute appointments. I brought in a new laptop in need of having everything transferred from the old one on Wednesday. Was told they needed two to three days to perform the transfer. Scheduled a pickup at 2:20 the following Sunday. Upon arrival I was told the transfer wasn't finished. No phone call, no text, no email to let me know it would be delayed. Was told they needed a few more hours. I said fine, let's schedule a pickup tomorrow. Oh they couldn't do that because they were booked out a few days. Really?? What an awful business. Well, to make a loan story short. I did about 2 claims with U. P. S and best buy and both claims u p s is a mitting fault So insane that they are willing to refund me back my money. My mother is 82. She made 8 round trips to this store. Over a hour each way. All over problems between BB her BB credit card and synchrony bank. The final took ownership and issued her a $300 gift card. I took my laptop in for servicing. During the visit, I bought a hard drive to back up my information. They were supposed to back up my information and ship it to the "servicing center". I received my laptop back but the hard drive was missing, this is a $100 hard drive! tried to contact someone online, I was transferred 5 times and finally I asked for a supervisor. Even then the supervisor couldn't help. I called the store and was on hold for 20 minutes before ANYONE even came on the line. Then I was transferred again, and when someone came on the line, they verified my info and placed me on hold for 45 minutes. But get this, you can hear the rep come back every so often. Then all of a sudden a automatic voice comes on again and hangs up on me! I don't see why it's my responsibility to go to the store to get my hard drive if they failed to send it! I was racially profiled and discriminated at the Maplewood, MN store on 5/12/23. The store also will mark your account in a way that lets them track you. I went to purchase a Microsoft Surface laptop/tablet at my local BestBuy (BB) in Maplewood, MN. I believe they racially profieid and discriminated me based on my looks and clothing. I also believe that BB store and BB have a way to track or hide personal info to "track" people without their consent. Here is a list of events: - I went to the laptop section of the store and looked around - A tall man (BB1) approached me and answered a few questions. - I found the item I was looking for based on the digital sales tag listed next to the item - I was told that the item I was looking for wasn't present on display. - I was showed me a newer model, more expensive on the other side/end of the display stating that the table is more comparable to a different model. - I do not recall the person wearing the same blue shirt as the rest of the BB staff as he may of been wearing a sweater over it. -I walked towards the Meta VR setup and a different BB employee (BB2) apporached me. After some small talk we headed towards the cash register at the PC section to pay for the item. - BB2 asked for my ID because "it'll be easier". BB2 kept entering the wrong "city" name because it "auto fills as Saint Paul". My Driver's License states I live in Maplewood. - BB2 entered the wrong email address. The email address he assigned was "middlename****@gmail.com". My middle name is ****but I never mentioned the name or said it out loud - I requested a bag and BB2 took 2 seconds to look for one. He didn't find one and told me to go to the register for one - I walked to the register and there were only people at the customer service desk for online pickups - A third BB employee (BB3) gave me a bag, but i asked if BB had digital receipts on my account. He said yes, I said to double check, and then BB3 checked. - BB3 said there's something not right with my account and "fixed" it. I then got a copy of my receipt through my email address I provided. - My paper receipt shows a purchase timestamp of 05/12/23 at 19:40. On 11/2/2019 I bought a brand new washer and dryer stackable unit. This costed me nearly $1800.00. On 11/7/2019 the new unit was delivered - IT"S BROKEN. The dryer doesn't even work. I attempted to purchase a phone. I went into the store and went directly to the phone area where I saw 3 sales persons talking with a few people. I waited. After about 7 minutes, when there were now 4 sales persons talking with the same people, I realized they were all chatting-apparently friends. About 5 minutes passed when finally one of the "customers" pointed to me and a service person came over. When I told her I have been waiting for more than 10 minutes she responded with a cheery smile saying, "Well I'm here now." I told the clerk I was leaving and with an equally cheery voice said, "OK!" Have you ever tried to write a review or talk with the store manager? I did, try that is. Good luck. I will not return. I went to Verizon and got terrific service and bought my phone. My iPhone battery was dying. Apple referred me to the Geek Squad at Maplewood. The Geek Squad agreed to replace the battery for $24.99 plus tax. When the battery replacement was complete, the fingerprint reader was not functional. After further examination, the Geek Squad told me they had accidentally torn a small cable connecting the fingerprint reader. Don't worry, the representative told me, we'll give you a brand-new display. An hour later the representative told me they'd tried to reassemble using a too-large screw and had stripped-out the circuit board, ruining the phone. Don't worry, the representative told me, we'll replace it with a new phone from Apple. Several days later, I learned from the Geek Squad that it would be a reconditioned iPhone, not a new one. I declined this offer and now will be forced to sue the Geek Squad for the cost of a replacement phone. read more

It took him more than 45 minutes to arrive, which, had he told me 45 minutes, I would have had his path clear. I told him to go grab a bite to eat and by the time he was done, he'd be clear. He said that he would do exactly that. 15 minutes later I got a call from someone saying that I'm not getting the refrigerator today, and "we'll have to get back to you with a new date." After taking a couple minutes to actually find where the headphones are located I stood around in the headphone area for 10 minutes without anyone asking me if I needed help. Finally someone at asked me if I needed help and radioed someone to come and help me. I stood for another five minutes at least without anybody coming to help me. In that time I pulled up the Best Buy app and ordered the headphones I was looking for for in-store pick up for the Oakdale store. This is why people shop online. Poor customer service. Stopped here to pick up a few supplies including Go pro batteries, but there weren't any on the shelf. An employee ( I think his name was Josh) came over to check to see if they had any in stock. They didn't have any at the time. As we were picking up the other stuff he came and found us to let us know the delivery truck had come and had the GoPro batteries we needed. After he helped us get the other stuff we needed and helped us pick out the right sd card and car charger he personally checked us out. He was super helpful! read more
