I requested someone to come to my home because I needed ac in an upstairs bonus room. I have used BC for years and have always been satisfied with their service. This particular salesman explained financing on the project. I was not looking to use financing but the way the salesman explained it as long as I paid one month ahead I would not be charged any interest. When I got my first bill I saw that I was on a 10% account. I contacted the salesman and he denied that. Even management refused to believe me. The salesman's pitch was too good to be true. I take credit for falling for his words. BEWARE if something looks too good to be true be true don't fall for this scam. Do your own investigation. Don't fall for a silver tongue salesman. Thankfully I was able to pay off immediately. I will not be buying anything else from this company. I found out this is the salesman's MO. read more

No Stars. I was matched with Best Care through my home warranty service for problem with my AC unit. It's old and with EPA changes the Freon for the unit is no longer available so I knew a new system was probably going to be where I was headed. The tech does a diagnostic and submits a claim to AHS. I get a notice from AHS that my part would be 4300. I reach out to Best Care to get a run down of what they were going to do. I was told by the secretary that everyone was in a meeting and they were unavailable. Someone would call me at their earliest convenience. I explained to the secretary that I am a nurse and was on a break and I really needed to talk to someone now. Nope. So.,,, you want me to pay 4300 with no explaination? Um, no. I called AHS and was told the 4300 would pay for a new evaporator coil, Freon, and "modifications." So you want to sell me an evaporator coil that will not be compatible with my outside unit? Do their tech's even know what they are doing? Sounds sketchy to me. So I called AireServ and they got me diagnosed, quoted, and financed in 4 hours. And scheduled for install in two days. Yes it was a pretty penny but I would much rather give my money to a company who is available. read more

Best Care just swapped out a capacitor on my outside condenser, job went well. The tech then advised that my high side pressure was reading near 500 psi. He suggested a chemical cleaning of the coils slightly and quoted $505. I called around and got the work done for $120. The other business spent around 45 minutes cleaning the coils and reduced the pressure to 275 psi. read more

We have been using Best Care for heating/air service and phoned them about plumbing disconnect/connect on kitchen sink and electric stove for installation of Quartz countertop. We were told the cost would be between $75--$200. When service tech came he said it would cost $1,000 to disconnect/connect. We found a service that did the disconnect/connect for $400 and still had to pay Best Care for a service call. Obviously, they are extremely high on plumbing or the service tech did not properly access the job correctly. It took the plumbing service we used less than 1 hour (less than 30 minutes)to disconnect the sink, disposal, stove and dishwasher. Would not recommend Best Care for plumbing services unless you don't care about costs-----they are way out of line on pricing and will rip you off. Many other plumbing services that are cheaper and still do an excellent job. Makes you want to explore other options for air/heating service because we have probably been getting ripped off with those services also. Such a shame that a company cannot be competitive and try to take advantage of existing customers----best way to lose customers! Actually only took less than 30 minutes to disconnect. The technician from Best Care obviously didn't access the work he was suppose to do ---he didn't even look under sink and didn't look at stove. We just had Best Care repair the complete sewer drain and water line from our house to the street. John Eastburn and Jason worked 2 days in extremely cold weather and gusty winds to complete the work. They found a lot of tree roots in the pipes. If you are looking for a honest reliable air conditioning repair then you need to keep looking. I've used this company for the last 9 years and this last year they have gone rapidly downhill. It took 3 months for me to get them scheduled for spring service of my air conditioning system. We wanted to just pay them for the yearly service and they would not accept a lump sum but wanted mont payments. Our air conditioner broke about a month after they inspected it. It took three days for them to come out and determine what was wrong. Then they said it needed a part to get it up and running. They indicated it would probably be in the next day. It's been a week so far and we are still waiting. th part is warranted but they are going to charge me $1060 for a repair that takes less than 2 hours. They told me the owner sets the price. Best Care was recommended by my plumber to do some commercial work. I trust him so I came to the table ready to trust them. If I every have any work done again on one of our buildings, it will be done by almost anyone else. It was all about what could be billed. Everything needed more than was quoted. I felt like I was buying a used care, extra for air in the tires, etc. The project was never all the way completed. I was told there was more to follow. It never followed. We will email pictures, never done. I have called many times and the follow up is none or never. Promises of call back in the morning, I have only waited 90 days. Never again! read more

Very disappointing. My water heater went out on Wednesday. They responded quickly on Thursday and was told I needed to replace the water heater. However, someone else would need to come to speak to me about expenses. Later that day another serviceman stopped by to discuss costs and I agreed to the cost. I was told I could expect a new water heater on Tuesday. Tuesday rolled around and no call. I called them to find out when installation would occur only to find out the water heater had just been ordered. I called again on Wednesday for a status report and find out about scheduling an installation. Was told someone else needed to call me. That call was from an office person wanting to know if I accepted the changes--which I again did. Long story short--I still don't have a water heater and Best Care doesn't know when the new will arrive and when it will be installed. Very frustrating and upsetting. read more

EXTREMELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE with this company this time!!! My home warranty company hired them. A couple of years ago they serviced my home for busted pipes outdoors and there was no issue. They did good work back then, so when I was told they would be handling the service this time, I wasn't worried at all. THIS TIME, they deserve negative 5 stars. I use american home shield. This is the company assigned to me. I've been without air conditioning for 3 weeks in the middle of the summer. This company came out and fixed the air which was great. A day later the breaker blew and the air stopped working again. Called AHS and they send an electric company out who fixed it. Then AC stopped working again. Ac company came back out and said it was an electrical issue. Electric company came back out and said everything is fine and its an AC issue. Ac company came back out said I need a new compressor. That is fine fix it. Project manager came out and tried to sell me on a whole new unit for 9k. I said no. He countered I said no. He asked what is my number I gave him my number which was low around $5600 I believe. He said it couldn't do that which is fine. It's just not in my budget right now. Again that is why I pay for the warranty every month. I just want it fixed. He then said it would take several weeks to get the part. I said I will talk to AHS about that. Very unprofessional in my opinion. I never right reviews but felt like I was getting upsold when I just want it fixed. I will say I asked them for a price to fix everything and he told me the price which I said no. I didn't like the sales tactics. Why do I pay for a warranty if they want to replace the whole unit. Just replace what's broken and let's be done with it. I see this company has great reviews. I just had a bad experience with them and the warranty company. Correction from Google review. We have used best care for over three years with no issues until this year. And it boils down to customer service. our condensation pump went out on our AC two months ago. They replaced it. Then about two weeks ago, they came and did the yearly service on the unit. while the tech was there after he finished he went to turn the unit back on and it would not come on. he fiddled with it for ten minutes then just said he tripped the breaker, and he managed to get it back on eventually. for the last two weeks the unit has been making a strange noise but it would come and go. Not saying he did anything but it wasn't doing it beforehand. Finally this last week during the storms we went without power for 5-1/2 days and once power was restored Friday our unit would not run. The alarm had gone off on the new pump they installed two months ago and it wouldn't drain at all so it was keeping outside unit from running. I called to make an appt and they said they could do best day (sat) from 1-5. Here is where it really gets fun. You see the issue is they scheduled us all three times this year for a window 1-5. While frustrating, that is standard business practice so that is not the issue. All three times, someone called from their office around 2:30 each appt to say tech is running behind, you are still on sched, he will call when he is on his way. The first visit I didn't get a call until almost 6, ad this was after I called best care at 5:30 To see if he was still coming. Second visit no call until 5:30, but he did come before 6. But this last visit, after being without air for a week, in 215 degree heat index in a house that was over 90 degrees that I had to sit in for hours, they called again at 2:39 and said same thing as usual. I waited and at 5:30 I called. No answer. They had closed for the day and I could only leave an emergency weekend message that would not get checked until Monday. I stayed there another hour, and never heard from the tech. I left at 6:30 and drove from Bartlett to Byhalia MS where we had been staying since power went out with relatives. When I get to Byhalia I have a missed call from the tech that came at 7:10 PM, saying he was on his way would be there in 10-15 minutes. Cell service is spotty so my phone never rang and it just went to voicemail. I quickly drove back toward the house, and Calle snack the number he dialed from. Well the tech left no other number and the phone he used was a beat care cell phone. Since they were closed for the day the phone would just give me the standard we are closed message and only let me leave an emergency message. I called best care direct and same thing. I got to my house at 7:35 (I did 90 whole way home) and there was a tag on my door, saying he stayed till 7:20 and sorry we missed you. Call the office Monday morn at 7:30 to make a new appt. So he called at 7:10, said he would be there in 10 to 15 mins, and aparently stayed at the house 1 minute wrote a note and left. Didn't bother calling the customer to say I am at your door, on his phone that won't take incoming calls. I know power was out for a week, I know it was the hottest part of the year, and I know post Covid it is impossible to hire enough staff to stay covered for a business right now. I also respect that in this type of Business you can't schedule an exact appt time because you don't know how long each visit can take. I understand all of that. I also know you may have to even cancel a visit sometimes because a job at a different house takes longer than you expect, and last and most important I know not all your techs work on Saturdays so a sat call is also subject to delays. I have no issue with that at all, I grasp it, and to be honest I it may happen on a sat call. BUT what I don't expect is to be left in the dark. The techs have phones. If you give a window of 1-5 and you know you won't make 5 o'clock, then you should call the customer or customers if there are more than one, and notify them. Some may cancel willingly, and reschedule. Some may be upset, and yes you may get attitude from some. But you turn a Jennifer into a Karen real quick when you don't communicate. All three visits this year were the same way. All were late. All after the window. And all of them just sitting around wondering what was going on. It didn't use to be this way. But it seems to be the norm now. And it is unprofessional. All I want is communication. I'd rather you call and cancel my appt than leave me in a 90 degree house for over 6 hours. And having your secretary call after just one hour to say he is running behind but you are on schedule today, is not communicatioj enough when he apparently comes after 7 pm for a 1-5 appt. With no other cokmuncaltion than that a reasonable person would assume you just weren't coming once it was 6:30. All he had to do was use his company cell phone one time to say it may be after 7. I am so disappointed in this company I bought a complete air conditioner system through them in 2020 now they came out said I had a leaky valve need the compressor changed will not order the part under warranty until I pay them full price for all the labor for them to come spend maybe two hours out here they're charging me close to $500 for this cost. They never included that I only had a year and a half warranty on labor so now they are charging me out the book and expect me to pay when service is done. I was very disappointed with how long it took this company to finish the job. In September, they installed a new furnace, AC unit and water heater. It was not until November 4, after countless visits from their technicians, that I had a functioning furnace. Despite the fact that temperatures dipped down to 35 degrees one weekend, they didn't show any urgency to get the job done. I will say that everyone I dealt with was professional and polite, and appeared to want to help. It seemed that there was a lack of communication between technicians and office staff, and also perhaps a lack of follow up or proactive approach from individuals, which resulted in progress getting stalled frequently. I don't think the furnace would be working now if I hadn't continued to call the office to check up on different parts of the job to make sure they were completed. read more

In the past 6 months I have replaced an HVAC package unit with a Trane prackage unit, and TWO hot water heaters. In the spring, the HVAC guys came out to give us a tune up for $75 on top of the 12K that we've spent with the company. In the beginning of June, our new thermostat said "service required." We called for service. The COMPRESSOR was bad on our BRAND NEW UNIT. THUS, we have no air. We were WITHOUT air for a week. Lucky for us, Memphis summer has been kind until now. We were set to have the new compressor replaced a week and three days post initial repair call...only to find out we needed an additional wire. All of that to say....the owner was NEVER AVAILABLE TO TAKE MY CALL. when I used this company 5ish years ago as they were starting up he was always available, and I'm frankly disappointed with how they have treated this entire situation. They are happy to accept new business, take money, but when repairs are needed that are under warranty expect to wait. read more

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE IF YOU CAN HELP IT! They don't care about fixing your problem and don't think it's their job to keep you from having them. You'd better hope you don't have any problems with their work because they won't lift a finger to help you. I had no choice but to use them because my home warranty sent them. My water heater unit began spewing water Sunday morning. I turned off the spigot to the unit and cleaned up the mess. I called for service but, of course, couldn't get anyone until Monday morning. I slept on my living room floor with a garden hose connected to the unit draining out of my open back door and had to wake up every hour or two to make sure I wasn't getting more flooding or having strangers walking into my house. When they came this morning, I explained more than once that I didn't think the closed spigot was stopping all water flow into the unit and that I was worried that it would continue to fill and have to be continually drained to keep it from flooding again. He said there was no problem, so I put the end of the hose in a bucket and went to work after scheduling the unit to get replaced. When I got back, once again my kitchen and living room carpet were soaked. I called "Best" "Care" to have them send someone over to turn off the main to my house or do something to remove the threat of flooding until the unit could actually be replaced. Even though they were still open, they said everyone had gone home and they wouldn't do anything. They did have the technician who came today call me. He also said they wouldn't do anything and ended up hanging up on me. They seemed amazed that I would expect them, when they were here this morning, to get me to a point where I didn't have to worry about flooding until the unit could be replaced. Now I'm going to have to sleep in the living room again and monitor the drainage hose and my open back door all night. read more

Had new air conditioners and furnaces installed last month. Price was just ok , installation was timely and efficient. Because of the shortage of trained trades people they like many other businesses are forced to pair an apprentice with a journeyman. Several issues were corrected from the old units and the new installation only had a minor issue , corrected the next day. They kept the area clean and were careful of the house. New units performed perfectly and my electric bill went down 40 dollars in the 2 1/2 weeks the new units were going. This bill was 75.00 less. All in all a good job and I would recommend them for this kind of work. The trades all have the same problem no skilled help so if they have to use an apprentice too stay in business that is why. read more

Best Care is the company my home warranty company sent for the problem I had with my HVAC so I had no choice in the matter. I had a drip pan full of water under my unit when I opened the call at 8am Thursday morning. My warranty states that they have 48 hours to respond which Best Care took advantage of. I wasn't able to get an appointment until the following Saturday. Up until that time I drained the pan and did research to figure out the probable cause. I did a few things as suggested in the research and kept draining the pan as it kept filling up. When the tech arrived the pan was bone dry, of course! The technician arrived after 11:30 which was more than 48 hours after the call was opened - therefore not meeting the contractual agreement. He couldn't find anything wrong but ordered a safety cutoff switch that he said would be covered by the warranty. I received an invoice for $195 stating "Only responsible for 75.00 service fee" with the balance of it to be paid by my home warranty company. On Wednesday the following week I had heard nothing from either the warranty company or Best Care. I called Best Care and explained my situation and wanted to know when to expect the part to be installed. I was told that since there was no mechanical problem the part had not been ordered because it is not something that is covered by the warranty. So, essentially I paid $75 to them for showing up late. No call back to explain that what the tech explained and billed me for was wrong. read more

We had a Heating problem and called about 4pm. The service man came the next morning at 11am, prompt and friendly. Quickly fixed the unit but at 7pm we discovered there was still a problem. Called the answering service and they had same mature serviceman call and he was at our house again 30 minutes later at 7:30 in the evening. Fixed the problem by replacing the thermostat. Repaired in 30 minutes with no problems since then. When I had a problem they jumped to fix it, without a complaint. Very reasonable, friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent service! read more

Terrible... this company was sent to us by our home warranty company to repair the downstairs air. It took them 3 tries to figure out that it was the evaporator coil that was broken. On top of that, it is very difficult to get someone to come out to your house. There is at least a 3 day wait between calling and having someone actually show up. When they finally diagnosed the problem correctly, they did not have the part in stock and had to order one. It was the evaporator coil, which is very common. Any other company would have had one in their truck and fixed it the same day. We were assured that when the part came in, they would service it immediately. Well the part came in, but they scheduled us for 3 days later. Meanwhile, temperatures are nearing 100 and there's an elderly, wheelchair bound person in my household who cannot be moved to the cooler part of the house. Unacceptable! read more
