We walked in and stand there like unwelcome souls waiting for someone to welcome us no one did, I had to ask a waiter there If we could be sit down. I have been here a few times and finally putting a review. They actually have pretty good food. I am peruvian and come from a family that cooks very good peruvian food, that is all my mom cooks pretty much. In my previous visits i have ordered the ceviche and chicken saltado and both are very good. The chicha is delicious and fabiola the lady that serves is very nice. Yesterday i decided to take a chance and order the chupe de camarones (i have had this in othet peruvian places and nothing has been as good as my moms, had some terrible chupes too). Their chupe was delicious, i was surprise, first time i have a good chupe other than my moms. I also had tacu tacu en salsa de mariscos and was very good. I have been to a lot of Peruvian restaurants before and they are hit or miss at times. Although the name of this place is ambitious, I would venture to say that it is one of the best in Palm Beach. My family and I order take out from them often, and the majority of the plates are very tasty. I like their ceviche a lot, and their leche de tigre lives up to its name. The traditional dishes like lomo saltado and chaufa de mariscos are on point, and the location is a no frills interior with a touch of Lima. Best Ceviche Ever is a restaurant I can recommend with confidence. The new management and new chef know what they are doing. I ate a ceviche mixto which was delicious and fresh. We've been to this restaurant two times and both times we were disappointed by the service. The food was OK it's not bad but the service was horrible. This last time it took us an hour and a half from the moment we walked in until we were served our food. For the first hour we sat there sucking on empty cups of melted ice. Every time we were served it was because we had flagged the waitress down otherwise we were never checked on we were never offered refills we were never asked if the food was OK. Very Fresh Seafood. Delicious. I used to have to travel far for great ceviche but this is it. It's in a shopping plaza where blockbuster was before. It has a mom and pop restaurant feeling. It's a small but open area. Its not fancy at all. This is somewhere u go when you want to go have some serious fresh ceviche or on a casual date. The waiter was very attentive and the food was prepared quick. Tried the ceviche and it was fresh and delicious. You must try the Papas a la huancaina or how ever it's spelled. Went here because we drive past it all the time and the reviews were good. We were the only people to step foot in the restaurant. The server sitting in the back at a computer didn't even acknowledge us, the only 2 customers in the small restaurant, for about 5 minutes. It took us about 10 minutes to get our drinks. The server didn't take our order for about 10 minutes. And then it took about 30 minutes to get our meal. Meanwhile, we were not asked if we wanted more drinks. Really turned off by this place. I called several times to place a pickup order... but their advertised phone number just rings and rings and rings.... and no one answers. So I decided to just run over, order, and wait. Big mistake. When I entered... I just stood there waiting for anyone to acknowledge me. Several people passed me by and ignored me. Finally... I made eye contact with a waiter, and he asked me "What did I want?" I told him I wanted to order some food and he stood there stunned...and asked me if I was with anyone. I told him I was alone. For some reason, he asked me "Why?". I said I wanted to order some food to go...and he pointed at the cashier. So I walked over to her, and asked her if I could place an order to go... she told me "they didn't do to go orders". I told her I thought that was odd since their website has the full menu on it, and no indication that they didn't do take-away orders. She then changed her mind that they do indeed do take-away orders, but that they were to busy to serve me right now, and that I should come back in an hour. I was stunned she had actually said that to me. I'll never go back to this place, considering there are 12 other ceviche restaurants in the area. Considering the reviews here of the food are good, and the service as being bad... they are really hurting themselves. If the rude and ignorant staff turn people away... how can they actually get to the food? Ridiculous. I've never been treated so poorly. read more
