    $35 Honey Walnut Prawn 核桃蝦
    Gareth P.

Walnut Shrimp - Tub half full, with half an inch of lettuce at the bottom. Shrimp chewy / overcooked. $35! Sesame Beef - Tub half full, quite tasty though to be fair. Sesame Chicken - Dry chicken, mostly full. Definitely not the best. For the price, quite outrageous. There is much better out there for the same price. Or to be brutally honest, nicer Walnut Shrimp at Panda Express for less money. Yes, Panda Express...this is not good.

So good, will come back again! The customer service is superb. The Chinese donut is fluffy and crunchy.

Orange Chef Special Dinner for 2

Since I was craving rice, my friend brought me to a Chinese restaraunt called @best_wok , and the food was authentic and comforting! We got the Chef Special Dinner for Two, which consisted of egg flower and won ton soup, barbecue pork, orange chicken, kung pao beef and fried rice all for $60! The staff were incredibly friendly and sweet as we talked story and exchanged laughters talking about the Zero purse I was wearing and how our servers daughter loved The Nightmare Before Christmas Disney movie, too! They were especially appreciative of us trying to speak to them in their dialect (Mandarin). The interior of the restaraunt felt very homey, and they also had a cute fish tank display where we ate at! The only thing I could note was that I wish the soup portions were a bit larger.

This is still good. But not as good as before. The taste has declined. In the cashew chicken, the chicken was lower in the proportion compared to the rice. The staff is still nice and so is the inter.

Very well made! Standard Chinese food fare and everything I've had was cooked and seasoned well. Fresh and hot. Get your favorite go-to items or try something new, it'll all be well-made! Try shrimp toast if you've never had it.

Large menu with American-Chinese classics, executed well, but having inconsistent portion sizes with high prices. There are A LOT of authentic Chinese restaurants in Bel-Red for the large Asian population that lives in the area. Sometimes, you just want to eat comfort food, Americanized Chinese food that you can find all across the country and chains like Panda Express have made standards. My wife really wanted a good egg drop soup on this cold Seattle day, so my daughter suggested Best Wok as a good choice, ordering carry-out for the four of us. The two locals amongst us had eaten before (both dine-in and carry-out), and were really happy with the dine-in experience (good service, large portions, great taste). There is a slight discount for cash, and the order was ready within 10 minutes of placing our order; it was still hot by the time we got back to the apartment. White rice was separate, so she skipped that since she had rice back at home. Everything tasted good. The large egg flower soup ($12 was excellent, it looked like it would be too gelatinous, but it wasn't...and the sweet corn was a great add. The Dragon and Phoenix ($30) was OK, consisting of a half portion of sauteed seafood (in white sauce) and a half portion of General Tao Chicken. For the price, it was disappointing: small amount of medium size shrimp, not much scallops. The General Tao chicken used freshly breaded white chicken and the sauce was good. The Pan Fried Noodles ($20) was a good size, with a large quantity of chow mein given (this is what actually gave our entire meal heft and allowed us not to be hungry after finishing everything). Zucchini was very prevalent in the dishes, being used as the filler vegetable. Would strongly recommend eating in, if possible, since it sounds like they do a better job of matching the portions and sizes with the pricing.

We were told this restaurant has really good food. Let me tell you this place didn't disappoint AT ALL! The service was excellent & the food omg it was delicious! We have another good restaurant in our rotation.

Sweet & Sweet And Sour Pork lunch special. Soup, entree, spring roll, rice for $18.
    Sara M.

Met a friend here while in town for a visit and realized I had eaten here decades ago! Impressed it was still around and doing great business. I chose the sweet & sour lunch special which includes entree, soup, choice of rice and spring roll for $18. I wanted wonton soup which was a $1.50 upgrade and it came with two wontons and very good. Our meals came out quick, hot & delicious but service for drink refills was slow. Plenty of parking, friendly staff, easy location and clean bathrooms.

Kung Pao Chicken and Fried Rice with Beef so delicious

This is what I've been looking for!!! I am so picky about my Chinese food. My favorite place as a kid in Las Vegas closed many years ago and I have never found anywhere that tastes the same anywhere I've lived. I love my kung pao chicken with no veggies just peanuts and chicken. Best Wok delivered the nostalgia of good homemade Chinese food I have been missing for many years. The restaurant even gave me that same feeling before I got my food. I drove past here a few times when I take a back way home from work in Kirkland and I'm so glad I finally ordered. The man working was so friendly and thorough and these portions are huge. I ordered via Yelp for pick up. I am now the biggest Best Wok fan and I can't wait to come back and bring friends and family. I would like to try their sweet and sour chicken next, please try them out and support small business.

First thing I noticed when I looked at the menu was that the prices are very LA, but before you let that deter you, hear me out: the portion sizes are significantly larger than what you'd get for the same price back home. So in terms of value, you're actually getting a much better deal out here in Redmond. One thing that genuinely caught me off guard; they let me bring my puppy. If you're from LA or the 626, you already know that's basically unheard of. Redmond, Washington is on a whole different level when it comes to being pet friendly, and I loved every second of it. As for the food, it was great overall. The mala wasn't too numbing, which I appreciated, it had just enough kick without overwhelming everything else. The garlic a-choy was perfect, honestly no notes. The braised pork belly was good but I wished it was a touch softer, and I personally felt like my dishes could've used a little more salt or soy sauce, but that's an easy fix and purely personal preference. Would definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

Lean-and-fat marbled pork is wok-fried to render aromatic lard, developing subtle caramelized sweetness. Dried deer antler mushrooms absorb meat gravy to deliver a distinctive springy, woody chewiness unique to this wild fungi. Whole garlic, spring onion and fresh red pepper introduce bright herbal and peppery accents, while restrained dark soy glaze unifies all components into a deeply umami-forward savory masterpiece, ideal pairing for plain steamed rice. However, when both service and food exceed expectations, a restaurant becomes an industry benchmark. Service: The service here was truly, exceptionally outstanding. A friend brought me here today--he had only been to this restaurant once before--yet every single staff member remembered him, and even remembered what he had ordered last time! They were genuinely thrilled to see him return. The pacing of the dishes and the check-ins during the meal were both spot-on. Ambiance: A classic Cantonese restaurant atmosphere--full of character, dignified, and rich with Chinese design elements. The seating is comfortable, the restaurant is impeccably clean, and the management is clearly top-notch. Food: Great value for money, with very reasonable pricing. The fried rice was loaded with rich ingredients and seasoned to absolute perfection. The seafood tofu was mild in flavor and made with fresh ingredients--perfect for children. The green beans were fresh and had just the right level of spice. As one of China's Eight Great Culinary Traditions, Cantonese cuisine is defined by its freshness: fresh ingredients, vibrant flavors, and fresh execution. Preparing Cantonese food is far more trouble than people realize; because of the complex preparation, strict standards for ingredients, and a low yield rate, true quality is hard to achieve. Since this restaurant is run entirely by a team of Cantonese chefs, I believe it is ultimately their passion that drives their success.

I really liked the filling in the football, which contained ground pork and mushrooms, not so much the flour for the outer layer. I also liked the tripe, pea tips, and chicken feet. They were delectable. Other than that, it seemed a bit plain. I didn't really like the chili oil they used, it was more like a sambal. I'm glad we ended with the mango pudding for dessert. The mold for it was so cute. Hopefully next time I come here they change up the chili used.

We were craving soup dumplings and wanted to venture somewhere new outside of our usual West Seattle orbit. So naturally, we chose to make the drive during peak rush hour. Completely worth it. The vibe here is ridiculously cute, and the playlist had both guests and staff singing along lyrics to songs I probably haven't heard in a decade. (Hellogoodbye & all American rejects?! Yesssss) And for the food we started with FULL HEAT: Szechuan Spicy Xiao Long Bao -- AMAZING flavor and definitely packs a punch. So hot, but so addicting. Far exceeded expectations. I want to live inside one of these lil fire balls of magic Hot & Sour Soup -- We added extra spice and it was perfect. It's also a generous portion which is shocking for $7.50. It came out first and we knew after the first bite that the rest of the meal was going to be awesome Spicy Shrimp & Pork Wontons -- not too spicy, great flavor and very meaty. At one point, our server came by to refill our sodas and asked, "How is everything, spicy?" And yes. Yes, it was. Though nothing lingered too long and the heat did not overpower the flavor of any of the dishes. All was perfectly balanced. Our server came to the rescue with her recommendation for the Mini Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings. Imagine a soup dumpling that decided to put on a crispy little jacket. SO GOOD. And a huge shoutout to Melyna, who was absolutely phenomenal. She knew the menu inside and out, was incredibly sweet, and was somehow always two steps ahead when it came to service and prebussing. She was attentive and made us feel genuinely taken care of. Honestly, this was easily the best service I've had in Seattle since moving here from Los Angeles. I know there's a location closer to where I live, but after this visit, we definitely fell in love with this spot. Thank you Melyna for making an already great meal even better!

I tried wagyu xiao long bao this time which was just okay for the price you are paying. I would prob skip next time. My go to is dan dan noodles and egg fried rice and chili wonton. From the moment you walk in, the cultural atmosphere stands out--many of the patrons are Asian, and on my visit, a few were even dressed in traditional garments, which added a vibrant, lived-in feel to the space. It's the kind of detail you can't manufacture, and it speaks volumes about the restaurant's credibility within the community. The interior itself is fairly average--nothing particularly modern or upscale--but it doesn't detract from the experience. If anything, it keeps the focus where it belongs: on the food. Service was a bit of a mixed bag. There were only two servers handling the floor, and they were clearly stretched thin. Ordering is done digitally, which helps streamline things, but you can still feel the strain during peak times. That said, the food started arriving quickly--our tofu noodle dish came out almost immediately, while the beef dish lagged behind a bit. Presentation leans traditional in a charming way. The plates and chopsticks have that classic, no-frills aesthetic that complements the overall vibe of the restaurant. Now, let's talk about the food. First, a word of caution: spice levels here are no joke. If you're sensitive to heat, you'll want to dial it down. But if you can handle it, the flavors are absolutely worth it--rich, bold, and deeply satisfying. The tofu was exceptionally soft, almost silky, and clearly freshly prepared. The noodles matched that texture perfectly--tender, well-cooked, and comforting. Pricing is another strong point. For the quality and portion sizes, it's very reasonable, making it an easy spot to revisit without hesitation. Overall, Nine Noodles is a great pick if you're looking for authentic flavors, a culturally immersive atmosphere, and solid value. It's not about fancy decor or polished service--it's about good, honest food. I'd definitely come back.

This restaurant is mostly self service; there are two kiosks right in front for ordering and a table full of prefilled drink cups. I think the only upside to this restaurant is the free cups of mango tea, which are slightly sweetened and fruity. I wouldn't say they are very mango forward though. Hot Oil Biang Noodles ($13.99) - The biang biang noodles here aren't very good. They seem to be stretched somewhat, but then I feel like they take shortcuts. Instead of being almost completely stretched via bouncing the noodles on the table, they only stretch it probably half as much as normal, then they cut the dough lengthwise several times - this is why I can see multiple clear corner pieces in the noodle instead of it being relatively straight. They also don't care to make it consistent in thickness. This causes major issues because the thinner parts are soft and mushy while the thicker corners are doughy and slightly undercooked. I don't know how, but the noodles also clump together, so in some bites, I'm eating three strands of mushy noodles right on top of each other. The sauce here isn't much better. It's supposed to be aromatic, blistering hot oil mixed with chili/vinegar and aromatics poured directly on the noodles. The problems here are multifold. Firstly, they don't drain the noodles properly, resulting in an excessive amount of water diluting the sauce. Secondly, they use far too much vinegar, making the sauce overly acidic. The vinegar is by far the dominant flavor in the dish. While the dish seems like it will be spicy due to the red color oil, it's almost completely diluted out by the vinegar and noodle cooking water. The dish is basically not spicy at all due to these factors. (2/5) Spicy Cumin Lamb Biang Noodle Soup ($14.99) - This dish suffers from the same noodle issues as above, but the soup format improves some aspects slightly, but worsens other aspects. Since the soup is hot and the noodles are soaked in the broth, they soften more readily, so the soft portions are even more mushy than the "dry" noodle. The thicker portions are nice and bouncy though. The soup itself is relatively flavorful, slightly gamey, and tastes like it actually is a lamb bone broth, but it doesn't really have depth of flavor. Again, it's not really spicy at all. The lamb on top seems like thinly sliced hot pot lamb, pan fried until very dry. If not for the fact that the lamb is sliced thin, it would be extremely tough. It does have a nice fragrant cumin flavor though. (2/5) Those were the two worst bowls of noodles I've had in a long time. I wasn't particularly impressed with the noodles at the U District location of Xi'an Noodles either, but they were far better than these two steaming piles of excrement. Bathrooms - Two unisex room shared with Snowy Village. One was locked though
