    Coffee!

Finally made it in to Bestie's Table after hearing some great things. My friend and I went on a Sunday, planned to meet at 10:30. Is you're going with a group, this is already late! The place was busy and we were lucky enough to score the last table for 2. Bar seating is available, too. There isn't a lot of space to wait and it's a small place. The atmosphere is LIVELY and there was a dj set up in the corner. Initially the space felt loud-not because of the dj set up but from the space. I did acclimate and my friend and I had no problem talking. But this is a buzzy spot, don't go in thinking quiet, slow wake up. The menu is small but varies enough that you will need to make a decision between a couple of things. I had the Bestie Bowl. It came with a biscuit, eggs, fries chicken and gravy with a hot honey sauce in there. Good stuff! Despite the large portion I did finish it all-I shouldn't have. It was a lot of food! We didn't get drinks other than coffee, which came hot and never empty. Service was friendly and efficient. I had to park on the adjoining street, the small lot was full. I saw some people walking over from the lot across the street, so that may be an option, too. I can see why Bestie's Table fills up fast. I don't know how often the menu changes; hopefully not so often that I miss out on trying that catfish and grits I kept eyeing at the table next door.

The Bestietable is still creating a lot of chatter around the city. And if you've been you know why!! There is not a bad thing on the menu. The drinks are fire! The service is top tier and they have new items all the time. It's a small spot but I've never waited more than 20 mins on a busy day! Go check it out ASAP!

As my lovely wife said "WORTH THE WAIT!" This is an intimate, cozy space that can get pretty busy. Our wait time was estimated around an hour but it went by much quicker. Our waitress was friendly and gave some wonderful recommendations that helped narrow down what to get. Everything here looks great so you really can't go wrong. We started off with a round of The Blueberry Boss, and then we got another round because it was so good! For food we went with Hot Honey Wings, French Toast Flight, & a Bestie's Breakfast Bowl and they all were made very well with a lot of flavor. I would definitely recommend coming here for brunch, just make sure you have plenty of time to enjoy the experience. Also, the playlist was on point the entire time, so shoutout to whoever controls the music. For my next visit I would be interested coming back on the weekends when they have live DJs spinning.

This is exactly what the city needed! The food, service & vibe was all 10/10. We had an hour wait but was seated in about 45 mins. We didn't mind because it was expected considering it's a smaller establishment & they don't take reservations. It was worth the wait! We shared the honey hot wings, they were so fresh AND hot. We also got the Rich Bestie mimosa package. It came w/ a bottle of Prosecco & two juices of your choice. Cooln had the French toast & chicken, he rated it 10/10. His words, "I'm satisfied" as he cleaned his plate lol. I had the catfish & grits, I would rate it an 8.5/10 only because my grits were warm & I like my food really hot. I left full and satisfied. The music was the cherry on top! The Dj was spinning all of the hits. We enjoyed it. I'm sure I'll be back because the French toast flight is calling my name!

I was so excited to finally try Besties Table after hearing so many great things, and now I can confidently say the hype is deserved! The restaurant is on the smaller side, but it's warm, cozy, and welcoming. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the service was impressively fast. The menu isn't huge, but don't let that fool you, you'll have no trouble finding something you'll love. In fact, I had a hard time narrowing down my choices because everything sounded so good! I decided on the chicken and waffles with the lemon chicken, along with the deviled eggs topped with bacon and chives. Everything was absolutely delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy, and the combination of the bright lemon flavor with the sweetness of the waffle was incredible. The waffle itself was cooked perfectly. And the deviled eggs? They tasted just like the ones your favorite aunt brings to the family cookout! The bacon and chives took them to the next level and are definitely worth adding. Overall, we had a fantastic experience. Great food, great service, and a cozy atmosphere. My husband and I will definitely be back, and I can see this becoming one of our regular brunch spots!

My my my (Johnny Gill voice) shole was good tonight!!! I have to check my reviews but I haven't been this blown away by food in a long time. It was absolutely worth the wait. My bestie and I finally made plans to visit The Besties Table (no bestie required to attend lol) for a Sunday Brunch catch up. We checked the IG page prior and confirmed that there are no reservations accepted. Now they've been open officially for about a couple months so we figured the hype might have died down. Nope. One we showed up at 12pm on a Sunday, prime Brunching hours. Still we kept on and put our name on the list. What was estimated as an hour and fifteen minute wait, turned into a little less than 30 minutes. Yay! We requested 1st available so we sat at the bar. The place itself is pretty small. Our server/bartender Rachel took our drink orders and we grooved to the sounds of the dj while we waited. We both ordered the Main Character Lemonade with vodka and it was refreshing. Then it was time to order food. That was thee hardest part. Though the menu doesnt have a lot of options, all of them sounded good. Our eyes diverted to someone else food that was just served which led up back to the IG page to see what new items were available. Just our luck the Breakfast bowl was listed. My bestie chose that option while I finally decided on the catfish & grits topped with crab. We split an order of deviled eggs. Oh yea, we each also ordered lamb chops and a chicken wing flight. The breakfast bowl came out first and we both tried it and oooooomygawwdd was it so good. Im not a fan of gravy but baby that went out the window. The turkey gravy, fried chicken pieces, scrambled eggs, and potatoes in each bite was so satisfying. My catfish & grits came out and honestly couldn't compare. I mean it was good but the breakfast bowl was better. So you already know what ill be going for upon my return. Ok before I make this review entirely to long, just know the food is absolutely amazing. If you dont feel like coming during busy brunch hours on Saturday or Sunday, get their earlier or go during the week. You wont regret it.

For whatever reason, the only picture that saved to my camera roll was me in the bathroom lol. We went on Sunday and were quoted about 40 minutes Wait time. We got a text that said our table was ready after 45 min and when we go up to the hostess, they said it was a mistake and it would be 15 more minutes. It ended up being 20. So I think we waited a little over an hour before we actually got to sit down. They had a DJ and it was very loud. I'm not sure if they have a DJ all the time or if it was just on Sunday. But me and the tablemates had to yell at each other to be able to have a conversation. All that being said, it was good vibes! The inside is absolutely stunningly beautifully decorated. I love all of the live plants. The bathrooms were top-tier. A lot of love, care and thought went into this place. I can tell. And the food? Out of this world! I had the chicken and waffles and it was the best chicken and waffles that I've ever eaten in my life. My table mates had catfish and grits and then a breakfast bowl that wasn't on the menu. They raved about their dishes as well. I know that they are newly opened and they're still working out adjustments and kinks and we are more than patient and willing to wait as long as the food and atmosphere make up for it and it surely did!! Ari was our server and she was so polite nice and had good energy. She made sure that we were taken care of! I will gladly return over and over to this place.

I was excited to try this as I was staying downtown the night before so was much closer to it. What an adorable place! Quickly and warmly greeted upon entering, we were led to our table and our server was just as friendly! I couldn't decide so they recommended I try the French toast flight and get the maple garlic wings and so glad I did! Those wings were perfection!! I was so excited to try them that I forgot to take a pic first!! Eek!! So there were six in my order to start! I also really enjoyed the French toast flight, but quickly was getting full, so I finished my favorite piece which was the banana nut, followed by the blueberry, and I took the strawberry and peach one home to finish with the rest of the wings. My husband chose the sausage gravy which came with the eggs, the potatoes, the biscuits, basically all the food because he chose the upgrade. I took a small bite of the gravy and I have to say it was definitely some of the best sausage gravy I've had in a restaurant. I'm very picky when it comes to my sausage gravy and I would definitely have ordered it. Their drink menu looked fantastic, but we were there pretty early and just wanted coffee, which was also very good. They do have a small attached parking lot and it can be pretty tight, but we were lucky enough to get a spot in the parking lot. I would recommend this place to anyone near or far in the Indianapolis area, would definitely go back!

I arrive around 10:15 on a Saturday morning because I heard there is a wait. Got there put my name on the list while my friend arrived. The host was nice and welcoming. There wasn alot of parking but there is street parking. I think I only waited about 20 minutes before getting seating at the bar. I liked that they had hooks for purses but my purse was a little heavy for the hook. Our "bestie" at the bar could have been a little warmer but she was fine otherwise. The menu was available both digitally and on paper. I ordered a half order of hot honey wings to start and they were very good. My Peach Dont Kill My Vibe was good. The only major issue I had at this restaurant was when my drink was made. I watched my "bestie" put the stir spoon for my drink on the bar counter and then use the same spoon to mix my friend's drink. I don't know how often the bar counter is cleaned so it was just the one thing that took away from the experience. Moving on to the loaded biscuits and gravy, that meal was worth every penny. You can tell someone put love in that gravy. The biscuits were nice as well, it was like cutting through butter. I took half home and ate the rest the following day. It tasted even better in my opinion. The only thing is I wonder if I could ask for a more baked biscuit. Overall, I shall return to Besties Table. It was so good and I got my money's. I wish the owner the very best in this endeavor!

Finally made it to The Besties Table. Let's start with parking. Parking on the lot is rare due to there only being 13 spots. The owner has advised of this so I was prepared. You can park across the street based on a video the owner made (grassy area). You just want to avoid the University lot and the Church lot. I parked in the neighborhood next door because I felt more comfortable parking there. When we got there the wait was at an hour and some change. I almost walked away but went ahead and added my name to the waitlist. They had a site that keeps you updated on your spot in line which I really liked. It sends a text once your party is ready. I started with about 17-20 parties ahead of me. Several parties did not return or text back when their spot was ready and so they were removed. Our wait ended up being only 30 minutes. I will say if you have a party of 3 or more try to get there as early as you can due to so many larger parties needing seating that can add to wait times. Finding a table or seating for just 2 is easier. The host was so welcoming and had great energy! I forget his name but he was everything! His birthday shout outs were so fun! They also had a DJ on site who was jamming and keeping the vibes going! As soon as we sat down, we ordered and the food didn't take long to come out. Our favorite dishes were the deviled eggs (we got 3 shrimp, 3 bacon), the French toast like WOW! And the wing flight which included about 12-14 wings. 3 different flavors. ALL great flavors. We give those dishes 10/10. We also ordered the catfish and grits. The catfish I would say is a 7/10 and the grits were personally not our favorite. My mom ordered a mimosa and said that it was really good too! Overall, we enjoyed our experience. Black owned and worth the wait. So glad we waited. The wings and French toast will definitely be a go to for me. The table nearby said that their waffles were really good as well as the biscuits and gravy. I will most definitely be going back and looking forward to trying for menu items.

Besties Table!!!! Yall did yall thing! Loved everything and will be back! The ambiance is perfect! The r&b music that plays has you wanting to sing along to every tune! I ordered The Blueberry Boss drink and it was super cute!!!! I couldn't get over it! And taste really good!!! My husband loves a good mule and ordered their version. I'm not a mule drink lover but I thought this mule was the best one I've tasted! Then for food we ordered: -gumbo grits: amazing! Came out piping hot and topped with shrimp and gumbo. Would love some sweet honey cornbread to go with it! -French toast flight: seriously the best French toast I've ever ordered. It was thick without being dry and didn't have any mushy inside. -lemon honey wings: so good! Never thought of lemon pepper and honey together but it works! I will definitely be back to try the biscuits and gravy and chicken and waffles! This is a great spot to come solo, with friends, or a cute brunch date! We got there at 8:45am on a Saturday and were able to get seated right away.

My family planned a visit to Besties Table for a Sunday Funday, and overall it was a decent experience! We anticipated a wait (about an hour). Once seated, it took a little while for our server to greet us, but when she did, she was pleasant and walked us through the menu. We did have to ask for a drink menu, and our beverages took about 20-25 minutes to arrive, which was a bit of a delay but again totally expected that for a newer spot still finding its rhythm. The food came out in waves, and we ordered a variety: honey hot wings, lemon bay wings, chicken and waffles, French toast, gumbo grits, and biscuits and gravy. The flavors were really good! The only hiccup was the shrimp in the gumbo, which seemed a bit overcooked, so we sent it back. We weren't able to order a replacement dish and didn't get much context around that, other than it would take away from other customers, not really sure what that meant. The R&B playlist was a great touch and added to the atmosphere, though at times it was a little hard. All in all, the potential here is there. The food was good and the portions were solid. Most of the challenges we experienced felt like normal growing pains for a newer restaurant, and I'm sure they'll smooth things out as they continue to settle in. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back in a few months to see how they grow. Pros: Great-tasting food, good portion sizes, friendly staff Cons: Delays with food and drinks, ran out of some items (deviled eggs), could benefit from food runners and a better sound system

We just heard about Bestues Table today, it's been opened for 3 weeks. It has great seating both counter and tables. The shrimp and grits and chicken wings are phenomenal!!! Drawbacks-limited parking -and we had to wait an hour to get water. They did bring us complimentary chicken wings-again phenomenal!! I highly recommend. They close at 2:30 pm

Today I had the avocado toast with feta and an egg on top, and it totally hit the spot. **Bluebeard... wtf**…read more Bluebeard has been on my Indianapolis restaurant list since I moved here from Chicago in 2021. I've found some really great restaurants here over the years, so I was especially excited to finally make it to Bluebeard. Each year during Devour, my husband and I pick a restaurant for each other as a surprise, and this year I chose Bluebeard. We had a 6:15 reservation and arrived about 10 minutes late due to traffic. I apologized, and we were promptly seated. Unfortunately, that's where the experience started to go downhill. Our server took about 15 minutes to come over, and although our appetizer arrived quickly (chips&dip), our drinks took another 15 minutes. I held off on ordering our meal because I wanted to do the Devour menu with the wine pairing. The food & drinks was a mixed bag: - Beauregard cocktail: 10/10 - Chips & avocado ranch dip: 8/10 - Crudo: 9/10 - Smoked fish dip: 4/10 - Mushroom ravioli: 8/10 - Short Rib Ragu: 3/10 - Chocolate crème brûlée: 3/10 There were definitely some great dishes, but the slow service and inconsistent food were disappointing for a restaurant with this reputation. The biggest issue came toward the end of the meal. The hostess came to our table and told us we needed to hurry because she needed the table for another reservation. **We were still waiting for dessert.** I explained that the service had been very slow and that we were waiting on our desserts. Our server apologized and said the hostess likely didn't realize what had been happening and was under stress. I completely understand that Devour can bring in more traffic than usual, but that's also something a restaurant at this level needs to be prepared to handle. We shouldn't have been made to feel rushed when the delays were not on our end. I really wanted to love Bluebeard after having it on my list for five years, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. For comparison, some of my favorite Indy restaurants for both food and service are Bocca, Union 50, Matador, Rosemary & Olive, Tinker Street, Strange Bird, Delicia, and Bodhi. Maybe we caught Bluebeard on an off night, but for me, this experience fell short.
