Having seen Beth's on various food shows, I made this a must on our trip to Seattle. It is worth a visit just for the photo op, but aside from that this place felt like a mortuary - yes it was depressing as hell! Just a hole in the wall with alot of Caucasian "character". I'm sorry but this place was filthy with busted up chairs and booths, walls that were darken by decades of grease (conveniently covered up with crayon drawings - some of which were vulgar and/or disturbing), electrical wires going every which way, a three person staff that was indifferent to the customers, a toilet that was backed up and ready to overflow (flushing WAS NOT an option!) and the "ambiance" was death. We went at a time when it wasn't busy (dinner time)?? We must've sat on the wrong side of the cafe I think because the waitress didn't see us for intervals of 10-12 minutes each time. There was one other customer when we got there and 3 occupied tables when we left, so what's up with that? The other two employees (cooks) just had their fingers up their backsides it seemed - even a sloth moves faster than these guys. Honestly, these two guys seemed like they just hated their job - unprofessional, no passion, sense of time or urgency. If I had seen these guys on the streets, I would have misinterpreted them as panhandlers in the Haight Ashbury! OK, so we ordered the 12 egg Full House Omelet. If you know you're not going to finish (or intend to finish), don't let them "add an extra plate for $1.50" for sharing. Not sure what the all you can eat hash browns are since no one said a word to us until we asked for our check. Water was never refilled nor extra napkins given or anything else. Other than the large portion, it was very ordinary food. To me, IHOP serves tastier food than this. I guess you have to be liquored up to enjoy this place? Maybe I went at the wrong time? I just don't know. We got our pictures and paid our bill...that was good enough for me, but the experience was sad. read more

The only negative thing I could say about Beth's is that during my 7 year tenure in Seattle, I've only been there twice! Yes, boo on me... People seem to be complaining about the wait you have to endure once you order but hey, on both occasions I was too drunk to remember if I was growing impatient or not (which in my opinion should be the state that you're in upon visiting said establishment). You also can draw or play video games in their little arcade so you do have some options if you grow THAT antsy. I guess you can talk about how it could get so crowded to where it may take a while to be seated but it's like that with a lot of late night hole in the wall places, and hey, it gives you time to work up your appetite cause trust me, you'll need it. The first time I went there I pussed out and opted for the six egg omlette instead of the 12 egg bohemoth that they're known for. As I sat there digging into my FREE bottemless hashbrowns (yes, you read correctly, bottomless hashbrowns: my most favorite thing to have bottomless other than a woman), the waitress brought a 12 egger to the table next to us and I immedietely began to wish that I had ordered the latter, a wish I gladly recanted when I couldn't even finish that six egg monstrosity. For shame!! The second time around I was a bit smarter about my order and so I wish to pass along this bit of advice: push aside your ego, save your heart and share a 12 egger with someone. There were six of us the last time I went and we got three 12 eggers, all different combinations, and we put it in the middle of the table and shared it, family style. With this tactic, you get to try more flavors AND you save more money than having everyone buy a six egger for themselves. So the next time you're in the Seattle area, just finished clubbing, or just hanging with the late night munchies, skip Jacks and Taco Bell and head to Beths. Trust me, your appetite will be more than satisfied and chances are, you'd have enough leftovers to last you another day or two! read more

Great place for brunch. Be prepared to wait for at least 30minutes. They have really good hashbrowns and egg dishes. However the chicken fried steak was nasty. Avoid! We went there to get our biscuits and gravy fix however we left unsatisfied. The gravy was pasty, plain and cold. Next time I think I'll stay at home for biscuits and gravy. Everything comes out really greasy overall so I don't think it's a weekly weekend dive. More like a lets-find-somewhere-interesting-to-pig-out place. read more

Beth's Cafe. What can i say. I LOVE LOVE this place. just cause they give large amounts of food. This place was featured on two FOod Network Shows, Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives and Man vs.Food. If its featured on two different shows, its most definitely on my to do list on a place to try. Being from Hawaii as a foodie place, i'm all about trying new places and its breakfast. My favorite meal of the day. We get there and there was a place to sit. We sat in a booth and start looking at the menu. I asked my friend, a Seattle native said we should get the 12 egg omelet and just share it.. I said sounds good. We got the one with ham and mushroom and cheese. I forgot the name but when we finally get it and its on a frickin pizza aluminium dish. I was like HOly crap! its frickin BIG. We start chowing down at it and oh my I'm in heaven. Each bite is awesome goodness. The hash was also cooked very well. Nice and brown and a little bit of crunch to it. After im done over eating, there was alot of food left and decided to get it to go. Some things I thought of the place though, its pretty much a Dive. The creases in the booth had like crusty old food. Dont look down by the floor because its very dirty. Also the pics on the walls drawn by kids look amazing and great idea that its on the wall but I think they need to take them down and put new ones up again. Beth's is a dinky hole in the wall diner that I LOVE against my better judgement. Is it divey? Absolutely. Was I afraid to use the bathroom? Oh hell yea. Is the food healthy? HA!! That's a negatory. But we got a table right away, the staff are uber cool, and were patient with an out-of-towner. GREAT service. You can color as a grown adult and nobody will judge you! Oh come on! And the portions are so huge, it's inadvisable to eat some of there plates all by yourself. However, if you're in the mood for comfort food, the breakfasts are delicious! Beth's is now checked off my restaurant bucket list. And good thing. I was not impressed with this place, but have wanted to come here for a year or so. I got the Country Benedict. It was tasty, but half of my hashbrowns were cold. :( The biscuits and gravy were good, and the bacon cooked pretty perfect. But you can get this semi-goodness just about anywhere. My cohorts got the same, and one got the Breakfast Burrito. She said it was good, and we all took half our food home with us. Service = HORRIBLE... We only saw our server 3 times, we had to ask a different server for boxes. I am glad that I was facing the window, because if I had witnessed more bad service, I would have probably been snarky. Which would be bad since I encountered a different snarky employee on the way out. I imagine if this place has to deal with hungover-ites, they don't need to be nice. I see no reason to come back. They would have only gotten 1 star, but they have Amish Friendship Bread, and I love that stuff. :) read more

Beth's is the really greasy spoon breakfast joint that is a Seattle legend. There are many reasons for this. One the atmosphere. Beth's has nostalgia and a current vibe hidden with her layers. From the building to the home artistry on the walls this place has it all. Don't be offended if someone curses like a sailor just focus on what is important the breakfast. They are probably drunk if it's late or early morning. The food may not be the best thing critics eat but to me it's seriously awesome. The eggs, sausage, bacon, corned beef, hash browns, omelette, pancakes, toast place of happiness is a palace of breakfast. There are not many places that can equal Beth's Cafe. If you haven't been please don't set the bar super high. It's just breakfast but it's not a crappy IHOP or the finest dining breakfast place. It's where the pirates of Seattle go to eat after a long, rainy evening of smacking glasses together with frothy brew rolling around the ships. Argh!! Just enjoy the hearty portions, the midnight black coffee, and Beth's in all her glory. read more

I've got much love for any 24-hour diner establishment. I'm of the firm belief that breakfast should be served at all hours any day (I'm looking at you McDo's), but breakfast is ESPECIALLY awesome between the hours of 2 and 4am. Unfortunately, you can't really expect a lot of people working at those odd hours - especially after a Sunday night out, rolling in about a dozen deep. Beth's is no exception - my cousins were tired and hungry walking in, and those conditions only got worse for far longer than we would have liked. Beth's has some interesting colorful crayon art wallpaper (and a colorful staff), and the infamous dozen egg omelet. Sadly, they don't offer any kind of prize for finishing it! That was disappointing. My six egg Southwestern omelet (with chili, cheese and sour cream) was good, but I think that had more to do with the elongated wait preceding it. You won't find anything out of the norm here - that's fine for a diner honestly, but that doesn't make this place great. Beth's isn't usually a destination restaurant, but it could be if the conditions are right (ie: drunk). read more

First saw Beth's Cafe in Seattle, Washington featured on Man vs. Food several years ago. Told myself that one day I am going to visit that place. A few months ago, I finally had the opportunity to eat here. I always pictured Beth's Cafe to be in the heart of downtown Seattle. To my surprise, it was not. They are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. It looks like a dive, and I like the place. Our friends took us here, and I was happy they did. I found street parking about a block away. We placed our name in the queue and waited outside for about 30 minutes for a table to be available for the 4 of us. Went inside, and it was much bigger than I imagined. We were brought to one of their back rooms. Beth's Cafe definitely has it's own unique charm and ambiance. All the walls were decorated with "artwork" from customers. Even the restroom was quite interesting. I thought about ordering Adam Richman's 12 Egg Challenge, but I decided to try something else instead. My wife and I shared some different items off their menu. Bacon Waffle was yummy! ( 4.25 stars) Pancakes with Strawberry topping was pretty good. ( 3.5 stars ) Hashbrowns were delicious. ( 4 stars ) Side of Fruit included pineapples, grapes, oranges, and cantaloupe. ( 4 stars ) Blueberry Muffin was also good. ( 3.75 stars ) Amish Bread was really good! ( 4.25 stars ) Would I return to Beth's Cafe? Yeah, I would like to return here in the future. Maybe, I'll have the guts to take up the 12 Egg Challenge next time. Ahh, who am I kidding. I really don't get why this place is popular! Went their with a couple of friends last evening and ordered a 3 egg veggie scramble. It was extremely bland and the hash browns were tasteless. The toast was greasy and not toasted well. The place itself is very dirty and the wall filled with sketches while cute, make the place look even more unhygienic. I guess it's popular just because they make 12 egg omelettes. Nothing impressive about it, I'm definitely not going there again. read more

To earn 5 stars from me, you have to have a great atmosphere with great food worth it's price and wonderful staff. It has to be a place my family says, "We're coming back." The only place Beth's may fall short on the above order is the food is good. It may not be 5-star food. A friend recommended Beth's to me a month or so ago, and I've been wanting to go since. I received a couple more random recommendations for Beth's, but when I mentioned it to others, I also got some tepid "yeah, it's okay"s. Located in the Greenlake area, it's not very close to us so it's hard to get to if there is traffic for us. We headed off to Beth's on the Sunday evening before Memorial Day. It may be burger weekend, but we were in the mood for something else. Of course, we had breakfast food. We parked on the street in front. There were not many cars there, so we were not sure we were allowed to park there. The staff said it was fine or we could park in the lot out back. We opted to leave our car on the street, but it was good to know there's also a lot in the back. When we walked in, we were greeted immediately and with cheer. It was not yet busy, and we were seated in the next booth. We were served waters and brought a couple more sets of silverware for our family of 4. The server had to come by a couple times to get our order because it took all of us awhile to figure out what we wanted. We also were busy looking at the wall art and not thinking about our order. I liked the picture of the tardis, in particular, as Beth's feels like it is a couple decades ago, in a good way. My husband and son both ordered biscuits and gravy. My son was unsure about gravy on his eggs, so he ordered his eggs not under gravy. No problem. My daughter had the waffle with strawberries and whipped cream. I had the French toast with bacon & egg, and a chocolate milk shake. After ordering, my husband and son went off to the next room to play Lord of the Rings pinball. My daughter set about working on her own art to add to the wall. I asked a server and got a password to the wi-fi to play on my iPad. Gotta love a place with various forms of entertainment to distract you while you wait. I suppose we could have sat and chatted as a family. However, the music was a little loud, so chatting was not really a good option for us. The food came up fast! I was surprised. My daughter loved her Belgian waffle and was happy to see not only her strawberries and whipped cream but also powdered sugar. Both husband and son were happy with their biscuits and gravy. The scrambled eggs were very good, and the hash browns are also outstanding. My son did like the eggs in the gravy, so now he knows for next time. My French toast was okay. My husband makes amazing French toast, so I need to stop ordering it out. I used to get it all the time because I never got it at home, but now he'll make it for me about once a month. The bacon was delicious! Mmm...bacon! My egg was okay. I ordered it wrong for how I like them, so that's my fault. My chocolate shake was good. It was old-fashioned, not like the blended monstrosities one gets at McDonald's or many other places. The kids both had some and sung its praises. They were both disappointed they did not get shakes. Maybe next time. And there will be a next time. We will definitely be returning, even though it isn't convenient for us, which is another reason Beth's gets 5 stars. Interestingly, we almost moved to Greenlake rather than where we are now at when moving from Omaha to Seattle. And, as we drove out of the area, we saw the house we heavily considered - just down the street from Beth's and across from the lake. For the divine, sweet marinated strawberry jam glazed llama that comes down from the hills to feast on one breakfast place every year, with a side of a child sacrifice. He would definitely be a regular (yearly?) here. Im a huge fan of breakfast! (Just in general always huge but hey, im just thick bone with a side of not going to the gym and eating badly, but mainly thick bone) and just stoping by at Beths has always been a very pleasant experience. (I solemnly swear that im up to no good!) Atmosphere: Walking in you immediately see the kitchen and you get a sudden smell of whats to come. (Which I was already drooling, making it hard to speak and not spit on people like a llama with his guard up in mating season.) The whole restaurant has the feeling of people coming here and just enjoying some great breakfast food, with trinkets, old pictures next to the cash register and really special drawings that are meaningful to them. (Which is amazing to see some character from the owners, cuz feelings matter and manly. Yeah!o.o) The walls are completely covered with inventive drawings of previous breakfast warriors of the old Beth. (Which reminds me of a kindergarten wall but everyone is 18 and older and they have not dwindle down on their imagination with some amazing adult twists, which makes me realize and smile that theres hope in this world. o.o). The seats and tables are basic, plain and somewhat outdated with the floor seeing better days. (It will make you see someone across the other side of the room with tears as well and you'll connect in a spiritual level on how good this food is, making you both stand up and kiss the cook. [Which I'm guessing that chef gets kissed by a lot of emotional man for his amazing talents]) With beverages that kicks Starbucks right in the tree nuts and says: "We are the creators of dreams and the eyes of the world."Their shakes are the reason why children smile in schools, thats how delicious they are. (My hands are sweaty typing this, just by thinking about this food. Kinda like a cat running into a room and destroying a room just at the thought of catnip that they had 3 months ago.) Price is done perfectly, specially for the food that they hand out and just the bizarre (but Im entrance at this) atmosphere that they hand out is well asked for. Conclusion: This establishment (haha... establishment.. ohh wow, now your using fancy words? lol) is amazing, for a lover of breakfast food (which is a huge undertone cuz its my favorite meal o.o), with fascinating decorations (that would make the models of Zoolander look homeless) and their delightful staff (that mother Teresa would approve of), I have to say that I will be coming back again and again! Alright, I've always thought Beth's Cafe was pretty nasty. It still kind of is. The omelettes are so huge, you can choose from the 6 or 12 egg. They have burgers and waffles and all the other breakfast items you can think of. It's pretty impressive how packed this place still is at like 5AM. I love their bacon waffle and find myself craving it here and there a lot actually. That's the only thing earning this a good couple stars. Although, how fast they are is pretty amazing. Brought my waffles out in like 3 minutes. Their service is okay. They rush around everywhere and tend to forget about people and getting some waters out or our orders taken after 10 minutes or so. Good drunk stop haha. When I say hole in the wall, this place is literally hole in the wall. The art on the walls bother me, because they get in the way of eating when you're in a tiny table with your other friends. They fall off the falls and stuff. Their bathroom by the arcades is DISGUSTING. Do they ever clean this mess? Seriously. It looks like an old rusted bathroom that desperatley needs new tiles and management. I love greasy spoons - with the caveat that they have to do things right. Otherwise, they become a trash pit. This place is totally doing things right. Walk inside, and you're greeted with crayon drawings on every single wall. The selection is rotated out from time to time; you can tell because many of them have date stamps by the artists. Even the menus contain cover art drawn in crayon. It's a ridiculously awesome touch. There are also arcade games tucked in the back, providing another awesome bit of atmosphere. I've been here three times so far, and the service has been top-notch each time. Everybody from the guy behind the grill to the gal at the register have been friendly, upbeat, and doggone happy to be there. It's not an obnoxious kind of happy; it's a genuine sign that they like what they're doing. The food is standard diner fare, and while it sounds like that wouldn't be easy to mess up - these guys do a very good job with it. The eggs come out perfect - the bacon is thick and greasy good - and the hash browns are plentiful. The bill is exactly in line with what one would expect, and the options are pretty varied - especially for a greasy spoon. This place is perfect grease for a post Green Lake run. Right on. read more

WOW! That's the best word that comes to mind when I think about Beth's Cafe. I've lived in the Seattle area my whole life. I had never heard of Beth's Cafe until I saw it several years back on Man Vs. Food. Finally had the opportunity to try it a few days ago. Beth's Cafe is an unassuming looking place. It is located on a fairly busy street, not surrounded by many other restaurants, so it would be easy to miss. The restaurant itself it pretty small. It reminded me of one of those old fashioned diners. The staff was very friendly. The walls are full of coloring book pictures. Which I thought made it unique. After browsing the menu we decided on the Triple Bypass 6 egg omelette which we shared and we still had food left over. I would 100% order this again! Your order is made fresh.the hashbrowns are very good. We added grilled onion to the hashbrowns. We also asked for raspberry jam which I believe is homemade. Everything was very good. The food was so good we went back the next day and tried a different omelet. Bottom Line: When in Seattle, definitely stop by Beth's Cafe. The food is excellent. Perfect hangover cure! I wouldn't visit "Beth's" on a regular basis but agree with it's reviews! Their portions are generous and the service is fast and friendly, definitely NOT for the slim and healthy! lol Beth's is perfect for the late night / early morning hangover. Serving up hearty portions of greasy food with loud music playing in the background. Meh. That's all I can say about this place. I had "The Sampler", which is a biscuit with sausage gravy, 2 eggs, hash browns, and toast. The sausage gravy didn't have much taste, the hash browns were mushy and bland, and the eggs were...eggs. The pancakes I had were also disappointing. Think of frozen pancakes you can buy at costco and that's what you'll get at Beth's. Sitting in the restaurant was interesting. The walls were filled with crayon drawings from it's patrons. I have been a Washington resident for over 30 years and Beth's is one of my favorite places to eat breakfast. After watching the episode of Man v. Food that showed Adam Richman attempting to eat a 12-egg omelette, I have repeatedly challenged myself to see if I could consume a 6-egg omelette. To date, I have been unsuccessful. Since December, I have been sweating it out in Phoenix, Arizona. I just flew back to Seattle last night and the first thing I did was drive over to Beth's and order a Southwestern Exposure omelette. Love the staff and the overall look of this place. The service was speedy and with smiles. I ordered the waffle and a bagel with cream cheese. The waffle was soft and the cream cheese was fluffy. My friend got the Patty melt and says that it was a solid meal for the price, only thing was his fries were undercooked. We made our first late evening trek to our favorite eatery. This was the first time we ever had to wait to be seated. We weren't going to fret because we knew it would be worth the wait. We had to wait for ten minutes tops, and then were seated with a smile. Our whole reason for coming here is the POG. This is the only place I know of that serves it. Also, the friendship bread is so so good! For $2.99 you get a huge hunk of this luscious baked treat. For the main part of our meal we ordered The Full House Omlette -- six eggs is the perfect size to split amongst my son, husband and me. If you love hash browns, those are bottomless - I recommend a side of gravy to give those babies an extra boost of flavor. A well-worn and beloved 24-hour diner. My favorite diner in the city. Beth's is a love letter to all the vampires who spend nights nursing a bottomless cup of coffee into the wee hours. FOR YOUR HUNGRY BODY: The food is greasy, there's a lot of it, and it's GOOD. We're talking unlimited hash browns, a choice of either a six or twelve-egg omelet, and bacon so thick every other diner's bacon can only dream of achieving such bacon-y excellence. We're talking an order of "white toast" that arrives as two fat triangles of Texas toast, grilled and stacked so the buttered insides stay warm while you eat. The six-egg veggie omelet is massive and begs for ketchup and Tobasco (maybe that's the point), but that's exactly what I wanted: no-frills real food. The onion rings were perfectly-fried and plentiful - four of us failed to finish the order that came with a burger. The chili came topped with a heaping mound of shredded cheese and big slices of jalapeno. I ate like a glutton and still took home half my omelet. The prices are Midwest-reasonable! Don't be thrown by the higher numbers, they reflect the amount of food you get. FOR YOUR HUNGRY SOUL: The staff brings you paper and crayons after taking your order. Drawings adorn the menus and nearly every inch of the walls - an ever-evolving gallery curated by the world's proudest parent. If you're the type of person who has not yet come to own your creativity, this is the safest space in the city to draw. We found ourselves prolonging our meal and lingering after we'd finished, drawing and talking. FOR YOUR HUNGRY HEART: 2am soundtrack was Tom Waits and Rob Zombie. The staff is one big, functional family of misfits, down-to-earth folks with sick tattoos and love for what they do. I don't understand the hype at all. Ok, so they serve 12 egg omelets, and some pretentious dudes from the Travel Channel came here once. It's low quality diner food that doesn't even really taste very good. It's well known for how horrifyingly dirty it is. The service is hit or miss at best. It is what it is, which isn't much. Normally I would not have even gone or given it a second thought, but people seem way too attached to it. I guess it is another Seattle mystery for me. read more

Beth's is open 24 hours a day which is very convenient when you want a late night bite to eat with your friends! They sell a 12 egg omelette which comes on top of hash browns... my friend ordered it for fun and it was HUGE! It was definitely a crowd pleaser. I typically try to eat vegan so I ordered their hash browns- very good! The portions were large and and pretty tasty for straight forward (not fancy) breakfast food. Four stars for the decent service and decent quality food. The atmosphere is definitely not nice however the fact that they attach customer's drawings to the walls makes it friendly. Beth's Cafe... I have been hearing about this place for the longest time! I have even seen it featured in an episode of Man vs Food before and I thought to myself, I really have to try this place! Until one Saturday night in July after my tennis buddies and I came from Round 1, that we decided to come to this place! I remember I was really happy that this day was finally happening....that I was finally gonna go to Beth's Cafe! I remember this night really well because it was my last night in Washington before I went back to California for medical school. So we drove there... When we got there, I noticed right away that the place is definitely a late night spot because we had to wait for about 15mins in order to be seated. Once we were seated, I noticed that the place looked exactly like how I've seen it in pictures...with the drawings on the walls and the all...it was already living up to my expectations! Then comes the menu... It took me quite a while to look at the menu because there were so many things on the menu... That, and because I was distracted from all the creative drawings and what not on the walls but that's not the point. When it was time to order, I ordered one of the 6 eggs omelette they have with the ham and sausage and cheese inside with hashbrowns. it was nice because the hashbrown was unlimited, just as long as you finish it and if I can remember right, you're not allowed to share it... Then comes the waiting game...... About 20 minutes later, all of our orders came out and it was finally time to start eating! I was quite excited! I took my first bite...... It was good! And buttery... And greasy... Not up to par for me so far... I couldn't finish the whole thing. In my opinion, it was really greasy and heavy and the taste of butter in every bite was clouding my taste buds and that really killed my appetite. I probably only had about 10 bites and I gave it up... I'm not saying it wasn't good! The food was good! I just forgot about the fact that it's a greasy spoon type of restaurant and it's pretty much where people go late night in order to find remedy for drinking too much that night. But of course, you don't have to be drunk to come here...no! All I'm saying is that oily foods isn't my thing. I'm generally a healthy person and I like to eat healthy but this was definitely a treat for me! Still give it 3 stars for the EXPERIENCE! Although I didn't enjoy the food as much, I definitely enjoyed my first experience being able to go there before I left for med school. It was even better that I got to spend that night there with good company. I would definitely go back there and give the food a try again! I can maybe get something else less greasy or just share a plate with someone because the portions are huge!!! read more

The waffle is amazing, it is so sweet and was perfectly cooked! I got it with whipped cream and it was so flavorful I didn't even end up using the syrup or butter I ordered. I also tried the 12 egg omelette which is just insane to look at, but also SO tasty. My friend ate the apple pie and said it was delicious. The sides of bacon and toast were also great. Overall my favorite 24 hour spot in Seattle at the moment! read more

I can see why Beth's has become so popular in Seattle. Went on a busy Friday night (slash Saturday morning since it was after midnight), but we only had to wait about 20 minutes to get a table. I just got the plain old pancake and eggs, so it is a little difficult to rate this place just based on the food -- which was good, but I would have been just as happy as Denny's. I'd have to try something else more unique or Beth's-exclusive to give the place a higher rating. Nonetheless, I had a fun time here, the service was great, prices not too crazy, and the food hit the stop after a night of bar-hopping. Also didn't have to make the long voyage downtown or to Lynwood to get Denny's. read more

Heard about this place from a friend who saw it on Man v. Food. If you are planning on going be prepared to wait a but for a table as the popularity is clear by its amount of reviews and consistent flow of customers. The food was good. Not great but good. It is classic diner style food with omelets being their speciality. These are not ordinary omelets however as they come in two sizes, six eggs or twelve. This makes for a ridiculously huge omelet, even the six, so be sure you bring your appetite when visiting. There are other options on the menu such as pancakes, biscuits, etc. but the omelets is where it's at. I personally ordered the cream cheese and smoked salmon omelet, otherwise known as the Northwestern. I have to say the smoked salmon inside the omelet was delicious but it was a bit over powering by the excessive amount of cream cheese. Me being a cream cheese lover I still thought it took over the dish. Despite my minor critiques I must say I finished the whole thing. The staff was busy but managed and the ambiance complemented the cafe style atmosphere. Overall I would recommend Beth's to anyone who has an endless appetite and is in the Greenlake Area. Nothing to complain about. The food is big and their service is pretty fast and to the point. I gave it 4/5 stars because there is a bit of a wait and the bathrooms weren't the cleanest but the food was delicious. We had to wait 25 minutes on a Sunday morning at around 11am which was reasonable for brunch day. We ordered the country eggs Benedict and the corned beef hash. I loved the corned beef hash. The total for both dishes and a cup of coffee came up to be about $34 after tax and tip. The food came out fast. read more

Combine these two elements...Lots of drinking and a five egg soutwestern omelette(chili, sour cream and salsa) from Beths and you get a pleasant nights sleep free of hangovers. Its by far one of my favorite places to stop by with friends after a rowdy Friday night after Dicks burgers. The atmosphere is just fun, with a bunch of random drawings plastering the wall from floor to ceiling and a semi functional arcade. Its charming and memorable, so be sure to stop by this late night institution at least once if you're in Seattle. read more

What should this review be about? Breakfast i presume? and not that Beth's serves an overbearing amount of eggs and hashbrown on a pizza pan that can serve 2-3 grown men who's been starving for days. The breakfast/omelet itself.. if you actually eat for quality and taste.. is nothing special. There's no milky smooth break down when you eat the eggs. And the toppings inside don't burst out with flavor. As you may have heard from others.. its a good place to eat when you're really hungry.. or really hung over.. or just want to say you've been to Beth's to eat a 12 egg omelet, and have photos to prove it. Pretty much everyone else has said about this place: portion is generous and breakfast items are amazing. During lunch hour, expect at least 30 - 60 minutes wait time. You can also get the famous 12-egg omelette here! My friends and I were here and we also left our own marks on the wall! read more

A Seattle institution, Beth's Cafe is an amalgamation of Seattle chic, diner food, and dive status to achieve the single greatest 24 HR restaurant in the city. Regardless of the time of day, we find Beth's to suit our hunger needs. Don't forget about parking in the back! Street parking can be problematic at times, but there is a small lot in the back accessed by an alley. Today, we picked out Omelettes and enjoyed reading the new drawings on the walls. The food is tasty and easily customized, and the atmosphere is quintessential Seattle. The kind of place where you can talk shop, complain about work and life, and continue the party with late night food runs. Beth's is the best. read more

I would give this two stars for bad customer service but I'll settle for three stars since the food was good. For a party of six, we waited for an hour. While waiting I asked for a menu to look at and the hostess rudely pointed to the window and said to look at the menu taped there. 30 min of waiting, we asked how long til we were seated and she again rudely said "when a table is avail for your party". Finally got seated, cousin had her sanitizer on the table. After waitress took our order she was all you know sanitizer is bad for you. Really? We already know that but hey we have a 6 month old baby w/ us. Going to use it regardless! We ordered the Makin' Bacon six egg omelet. It was big enough to split between two people. It was delicious! Their blueberry muffin was so moist and fresh unlike greasy Otis spunkmeyer packaged muffins. Food was great but the wait and bad customer service is not worth it. Thanks but no thanks, Beth's Cafe. By the way, my cousin pulled out long brown hair from his 12 egg omelet. Also, as we were leaving, I heard the table next to us tell the waitress they found hair in their french toast.
