Country breakfast lol couldn't wait and started eating
    Ariel L.

The food portions are awesome. They are not stingy or overpriced. The coffee is always fresh & great. Free refills, anyone? :) The chorizo pile is great after a hike. The Chile verde with eggs is also great for a kick of spice and warm tortillas. Come for the food, stay for the small town vibes. There's new restaurants in town but the difference is the taste and the homemade feeling. The atmosphere here is home-y with friendly smiles, warm conversations, and kind service.

Scrumptious Chili Verde, seasoned country potatoes with fluffy scrambled eggs!

Betsy's Restaurant had a screaming menu! Our breakfast was delicious! The portions were so generous we had to cancel the pancakes.(Next time!) We finally decided on the chili verde, scrambled eggs, country potatoes with flour tortillas AND the eggs in a nest, with hash browns and bacon. Both were yummy yet I must say the chili verde and eggs were the favorite at the table. I have to mention the coffee was good and our mugs were always full. Betsy's crew was so friendly and attentive. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a smile at the door, seated timely and given time to figure out what to order. By the way, all the tables were full. Which immediately told me, we were about to have a fantastic meal. The restaurant was clean, ran smoothly and the customers all truly looked to be enjoying their meals. Can't wait to try the pancakes!

    Southern breakfast, pancakes, mexican scramble

This place is pretty solid for a diner and i enjoyed it. The maple syrup was a little too watery for me but the pancake was soft and easy to eat, if only i had more time. I also enjoyed the mexican scramble i got and i think that for being in the middle of nowhere it was pretty yummy. Give it a try and let me know

Good food, portion size was good, good location. Close proximity to the 101 which makes for easy access. Very local mom and pop shop vibe. Most customers knew all the cooks and serves which was nice to see. The hot links were very good paired with the hash browns and eggs.

5 mf stars for betsy. This is the most classic diner spot you are going to get. Waiter was super kind, red booths, little condiments. The food was perfect as well. Eggs Benedict was just so fire. You can tell they really care about their customers, they knew the regulars by name and bantered with them and it was all just really sweet to watch. Also there was a bowling alley connected to this place???? Huh??? Respect. Love you betsy.

Chicken fried steak and eggs, hash browns, pancakes

Betsy's is a cozy diner attached to the Morgan Hill bowling alley and serves up some hearty breakfast. We arrived on a Sunday around noon and waited outside for about 20 minutes. Chicken fried steak is my go-to order at any breakfast spot and Betsy's does it well. The steak was well-breaded and smothered with a tasty gravy- not bland and not overly salty. Service was fast and kind. My friend ordered onion rings but received a side of fries instead. They promptly apologized about it and fortunately my friend wasn't too bothered.

    Betsy's Omelet w/ counrty potatoes.

What can i say. this place is One of a Kind. The food id incredible. The Service is top notch. Family owned and operated. The owner (Betsy) introduced her self and made sure we hade everything we needed. One of the best Omelet's i have had in a long time. On a side note. they gave us a sample of the Chile Verde. it was Bomb AF. The Customer next to us got the Chile Verde Scramble and he loved it. Definitely my new Fav and will be back very soon.

We visited Betsy's while in town and absolutely loved it. Delicious breakfast with fast service, great flavors, and genuinely kind staff. A wonderful spot we'd happily return to on our next visit.

Good service, came often for coffee refills and kept table clean by throwing away the coffee creamer. Food was good too really cool because its next to a bowling alley with a big arcade and pool tables.

Met up with a friend for breakfast on a Tuesday. The place was packed which is always a good sign. This location is big and has a big parking lot. When seated I got the menu and was asked if I would like anything to drink. We both order coffee. After getting out coffee we were asked if we knew what we wanted. We said a few more minutes since it was our first time there, we had to check the menu first. what we order: drinks: -coffee 1/5: coffee was very bland and didn't have much flavor. It tasted like decaf. food: - Denver Omelet with hash browns and pancakes. 3/5. Pancakes were good and so was the omelet. However, the hashbrowns were not crispy. - 2 eggs, toast, hashbrowns and fruit. 2/5 Overall, the food and service were okay.

Chicken Fried "Steak" and I mean steak, thin sirloin or top round not tenderized. Was a lil different.

We were greeted by a very friendly waitress. She said we could sit wherever we wanted, asked if we've been in before, and told us about the specials. The interior is cozy, it kind of reminded me of dive bar vibes. They have a lot of drinks on tap and some frozen slushies. I opted for organic iced tea since I don't drink. When I went to the bathroom, I noticed one of the slushies was non-alcoholic so I might try that next time. We ordered the Bourbon Bacon Burger with Chili Cheese Fries and the Supreme wood-fired pizza. The burger was fantastic! The BBQ sauce was delicious, the bacon and onion rings were crispy, and the fries were great. I enjoyed the chili, but I didn't think the cheese sauce or sour cream really stood out. I thought the crust on the pizza was perfect, I really enjoyed the wood-fired vibe and fresh toppings. This would probably be my favorite pizza if they used better mozzarella. For now, Bizza is holding the top spot for me since they use Butcher's Son mozzarella, and in my opinion, it's the best vegan mozzarella sub I've ever had from pizza spots so far. Even though I have notes, I still think the overall meal was a home run and the staff were super friendly so they get 5-stars in my book.

As for service it's really hard to tell who works there or is hanging out at the bar. The waiter that I didn't know was a waiter didn't even say anything when we walked in and I grabbed the menu myself and sat down with my family. Still nothing. We had a party of 4. Finally she came over about 10 minutes in, and asked for our order after seeing we had a menu. The gentleman that brought out meal out asked if everything looked right and asked if we needed anything. Partly thru our meal we were all so hott because it's 100 degrees outside and I guess they don't have Air conditioning so we were waiting for water, finally I went up myself with our glasses and asked for them to be filled. I waited there because I didn't want to risk her taking forever to bring the glasses back to our table. Again, great food but service from the waitress could be better.

My wife and I know all the servers by their name as we go weekly. Today I went there and we got a new server, now I realize there is a training period but we've seen him there for at least three weeks. When the order came, it had sweet potatoes fries instead of shoe string fries. Again, simple things but the order was incorrect. His name is Christian, I would not get him again period! The service was fantastic, glasses constantly being refilled, asked us if we wanted more bread and butter and our server made some great recommendations "5 Stars" The Food: #1. They gave us 2 nice warm bread rolls with a room temperature salted butter cube. The bread at first tasted salty but then my palate caught up and oh snap! this bread was good!! 5 Stars! #2. The server recommended the beef Wellington. "I ordered it med rare, it came to me med rare" it comes with mashed potatoes and longstem broccoli with cherry tomatoes, and a wine/vinegar reduction for the Wellington. The broccoli had a nice crispness to it and were seasoned perfectly, the cherry tomatoes added some brightness. The mashed potatoes were silky smooth and paired perfectly with the Wellington. NOW THE BEEF WELLINGTON: OH MY .....GOSH!!! My eyes rolled back into my head, it was so good!! The beef was as soft as butter, I could have used a butter knife to cut it (not kidding) and it melted in my mouth. The seasoning with the dough and the spinach with the mushrooms inside nearly caused a wet dream (if you get my point) "and don't even get me started on their reduction sauce for the Wellington!" The waiter walked up to me and smiled and said "and I quote"... gives you goosebumps, right? Oh he knew, HE KNEW!! 5++++ Stars! #3. Wifey ordered the Grilled Salmon salad. She ate the Salmon so fast that I barely had a chance to taste it. She said she really liked it, now I did get a chance to taste the salad and I must say that it was so good that it could have been a stand alone dish. Again 5 Stars. #4. He came to our table just after we were seated and before we had a chance to look at anything. Stood there looking annoyed as we scrambled to look at the menu for drinks and appetizers. We very quickly told him we would need a few minutes. The few minutes though turned into 10-15 before he came back to take our order. The appetizer took an extremely long amount of time to get to table. The young man who brought it wasn't our server and did not check to see if we needed anything else. When our waiter eventually came back with our cocktails. He just held them out to the nearest person and made us pass them down the table. Eventually after another long wait, our meals arrived. Server nowhere to be found. By this time our first drinks and waters were empty. Server didn't come by for quite awhile after. Some of our party asked for more drinks and water. We never got more water. Server never came by mid meal to ask how we were doing. If we needed anything else. I would've ordered another drink if I had a shred of confidence that it would've been delivered before I finished my meal. Speaking of the cocktail. YOU DO NOT MUDDLE THE CHERRIES IN AN OLD FASHIONED. It was just a mash of fruit floating around at the bottom of the glass. We finally saw our server again when he came by to ask if we wanted desert. He dropped off the menus and then disappeared for another 10+ minutes. At which point I had to go find him to inform him that we wanted to order dessert since we were celebrating my father's birthday. When the other young man brought our desserts we had to ask for new plates and clean utensils. We again had to ask for more water since it wasn't brought when previously asked for. Our server then eventually showed up for the check. He told us the first card didn't go through. He did not do this quietly or with tact. He came back after the second card didn't go through. We did not get any banking notifications about these and inquired if perhaps their system was the problem. It wasn't until the third card didn't go through that he admitted they were trying to fix the problem on their end. He did not apologize. We've dined at this restaurant multiple times a year for several years. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had here. If you care at all about the service you pay for then I would suggest you avoid this restaurant. Very disappointed. Next time we'll be dining elsewhere.
