I was disappointed. I did an online order. I placed the order at 6:43 am. I ordered two: drinks 1 banana pudding best drink ever and 1 mango strawberry refresher. I received a text message at 6:47 am saying, "Better Buzz Laguna Hills: Your order is ready at the designated pickup area." I go in. Drinks weren't ready. I was okay. Let's wait a bit more. 6:55 am. Still nothing. I go to the counter. They said we are still working on your drinks. I was okay. Mind you, there was a guy in there who had ordered two ice cold brews. We had been waiting for 30 minutes. 7:00 am, finally, my banana pudding best drink ever came out. I told the girl I still have one more drink. Yet again, she told me they're working on it. 7:05 am, still nothing. Finally, I received the drink at 7:10 am. So disappointed in their timing, and the drinks were not good. Better Buzz is one of my FAVORITE coffee spots, but unfortunately they don't have any in LA so when I was nearby of course I had to stop by! The inside is SO cute with indoor and outdoor seating, and they also had a big area with lots of merch too. The man taking our order was also very friendly and helpful. I got my usual Snickerdoodle Iced Latte, and it was so delicious. Only thing is the cup wasn't filled all the way, which was a little disappointing, but overall I loved it and I'll definitely be back! read more

Second problem, it did not taste good at all and had to stop drinking after a couple sips Third problem, sticker stated 12 oz no ice vanilla cream. Fourth problem, making online contact for the above issues is not easy to do. Takes some searching. Please do a better job. This must have been an off day because my wife's drink was a huge miss too and was made very incorrectly. I do hope I hear back from the contact I made on your website. Went to Better Buzz recently after a family party just around the corner. My cousins had it earlier in the day and were raving about it so off we went after the festivities concluded. This location has a drive-thru, some outdoor seating and a few seats/tables inside the cafe. Plenty of parking in their shared lot. My lady got the Best Drink Ever with almond milk which she really liked. My cousins got horchata iced lattes & snickerdoodle lattes which they all liked as well. I got a mango-strawberry BuzZinger and another cousin got a blueberry lavender lemonade which are both under their 'teas & more' menu. My drink was ok. It had a tiny bit of sweetness to it and had cut up pieces of mangoes & strawberries in it. I also ordered an almond croissant and that was my mistake. After everyone got our drinks, I still waited a while for the croissant which the cashier forgot about until she saw me walk up. She went to heat the croissant up (never was asked if I wanted it warmed) then handed it to me. She did apologize for the wait. That was fine... My issue was that when I went to have the croissant later that night, there was a long strand of hair on top of it. Mannn.... seriously?! That was really off putting as I didnt want to eat that croissant anymore. I broke off a piece on the opposite end just to see how it was and it was super dry & had no flavor. Even when you give your order, it's never a good sign when they interrupt you, thereby getting your order DEAD WRONG. Extend that to handing you the wrong drinks and you go inside to clarify, and you're greeted by LOUD music and a staff who look like they've never been coffee shop customers, let alone employees. Coffee: If I had to recommend 1 drink and one drink only it would be an iced hazelnut divinity. The notes listed are "white chocolate mocha with a touch of hazelnut" which sound perhaps overly simple, but the pair marries beautifully. I personally like buying whole roasted beans from here to take home and coffee fresh for myself on days I can't be bothered to make the drive over. Food: The overall best option for value and taste is of course the OG acai bowl. The size is fairly large (or at least comprable to what other places serve). Fruit is fresh and doesn't taste icy (at least for the fruit as toppings). Honorable mention is the breakfast burrito, but heads up may not be as filling as other options. I liked that there is also a vegetarian option for the breakfast burrito as well too. Service: friendly staff who make sure you are satisfied with your order. Ambiance: Really the only reason for the 4/5 stars is that the music was arguably too loud. Almost to the point where my friends and I struggled to hear each other across the table. We politely asked for it to be tuned down a notch which the manager was receptive to. Unfortunately it couldn't be fixed due to a speaker issue. Overall great coffee, food, and staff. I absolutely love this chain, truly whatever they put in their drinks is Christmas magic! Since it's the season again, I ofc had to get the pumpkin chai blended which I high recommend! It feels like fall but tastes like the magic of the season!! The pumpkin and the chai flavor also don't overpower each other, it's a perfect equilibrium! I also had never tried it blended before but honestly it was the perfect texture and not too icy!! Something to note is that this location is more drive thru heavy with outdoor seating but not as much inside! I'm starting to sadly realize that this location is a hit or miss. I used to rave to my friends that Better Buzz was THE spot, but I've had mornings where the drinks are amazing and top notch quality, then there are times like my last few visits where my drinks just completely missed the mark. I usually order the iced dirty chai tea latte or an iced vanilla latte with extra espresso, usually comes out iced, cold, and you can taste the chai or vanilla. However, lately it's been served warm with a few ice cubes and super diluted. I'm not sure if the process has changed or if it's new staff, but I didn't get my tasty morning coffee fix which makes me reluctant to return. The girl at the drive through offered to add an egg to our ham and cheese croissant, we had no idea this was even an option so we said YES! But after waiting for them to make everything, there was no egg in our croissant and we were on the freeway already so we couldn't turn back.. if your drink is consistent here then I envy you read more

My second better buzz location. I really like this chain! They have such exciting drink options. Drinks came out very fast. This time I tried their burstin blue raspberry energy drink. It crackled with pop rocks and was very refreshing. Better buzz is soooo much better than Dutch Bros, in my opinion. This location has less seating and is more geared towards their drive through. Place sucks. There were 3people working at 530 on a Saturday and nobody was actually working on orders. Waited 15min for one drink and a food item. Nothing special. One of my favorite cafes in San Diego I was extremely excited to find out that they opened one closer to me bonus points because I love Laguna Beach. This is my second time coming to this location and I am literally obsessed with the orange Matcha. The only thing is that sadly they only offer it in the 12 ounce size so I got 2 lol. The better breakfast sandwich was also really delicious, but I wouldn't recommend getting a avocado as that didn't taste super fresh. Service was quick and efficient. This Better Buzz is a small standalone shop in the La Paz Village of Laguna Hills. Drive-thru is available, and a few indoor and outdoor seating are provided.  Hazelnut Divinity: sweet and creamy yet only slightly nutty (to me, at least). I enjoyed it, but then again, a true coffee lover might disagree with me haha. Best Drink Ever: americano-type drink with a nice vanilla flavor and a hint of what we thought was honey. I preferred the Hazelnut Divinity over this one. Single bathroom was clean. Display case with pastries had a big ol' fly in it, which grossed me out. Service at the register was friendly and knowledgeable, but drinks took a long time to come out. Maybe they prioritize drive-thru orders first with the few staff that they have? read more

Having a Better Buzz open in south county is probably one of the better things to come out of 2024. Service at the Laguna Hills location is always so super quick and friendly and I love all their seasonal menus as well as year round offerings - personal faves are Hazelnut Divinity, Snickerdoodle latte, and the black tea latte.
