As a manicurist and salon owner, I randomly try local nail salons. I came as a walk in for a pedicure and was seated immediately. I decided on the luxury pedicure with gel (I brought my own gel) for $73. The pedicure was extremely rushed. I noticed all of the tools that were used were not in sterile pouches. The scrub was combined with the mask to expedite the pedicure. After he finished with the trimming and callous removal, he rinsed them in the dirty pedicure water and placed them back on his cart. The pedicure lasted a total of 30 minutes. I asked the technician about the extra massage that was included, he stated he didn't have time. But the most disturbing part of my experience.....I then watched him move to the next client and use the same tools he used on me! They were only rinsed in the dirty pedicure water! No soap, no disinfectant, no autoclave. read more

I have gone to this salon for several months. Lots of pros and cons. I must say my last visit will br my last. Pros: friendly staff and clean Cons: the inconsistency of quality of nails. Even though I made an appointment, they let the walk in patrons be seen first. When I was finally seen (1 hour late), she rushed & my nails looked awful. Prior color wasn't completely removed so the old color was visible through my new color. Also the acrylic was so built up under my nails, I had to go get the acrylic drilled out at another nail salon. My opinion is that there's gotta be better options than this place! read more

I gave this place a shot when I moved here in December, it's a 4 min walk from my house. Super convenient as I have 2 babies. So it's really sad that I had the experiences I had. The lady was super rough during my first pedicure and cut a pretty decent piece out of my skin. It bled and she didn't even acknowledge the cut, let alone apologize. She actually filed over it. It was so painful and made me not want to go back, super awkward. Decided to go back for dip nails, lady was nicer but talked poorly about the Chinese food next door. My nails chipped within the week. Fast forward to today, my husband and kids walk me over to the nail place for an emergency pedicure (having doubts). They closed at 7pm, it's 6:20 and the doors wide open. I walk in to a boy sitting at the front desk on his phone w AirPods and a women on her phone, neither looked up until I asked if they could do a pedicure. The women looked up at me stupidly with a "huh", I repeated myself and she said "we're closed". My husband and I looked at the times and it read 7pm, which she rudely responded they didn't have anyone available, I kindly let her know if they were closed then they should at least shut the door. They both continued on there phones. I have not experienced such rude customer service like this in so long, I have no idea how a business like this is in a neighborhood like this one. Let alone with good reviews, this is 3 bad experiences in a row. The workers are always on there phones when we walk by and there's maybe 1 customer. Do not go here. read more

Kenny and Christine have recently purchased this salon and I have followed them from their prior location (Luxury Nails). Christine does a wonderful job doing my gel nails, and she is also very fast. I bring in sample pictures of french tip nail designs I like and she is able to re-create them for me. She is very artistic! Kenny does my pedicures, and he gives a great leg massage. He can't get too creative with my toenails because they are very small. :) Their prices are reasonable, and they also do waxing. I appreciate that they speak fluent English, which makes it a lot easier to describe what I want done. Their new salon decor is beautiful, too! It is a very relaxing atmosphere with soft music playing in the background. There are also TVs to watch, if you wish to do that. I have been a customer of Kenny and Christine for about 3 years now, after having tried other nail salons in the area. I am very happy with them and their services. I am thanking my lucky stars that I just found Better Nails & Spa! I am fairly new to the desert and still trying to establish my Glam Squad. Although I had been researching an acrylic nail salon for months on yelp... I am SUPER picky about my nails and I had not really found any reviews that were particularly convincing. Until today when I read the reviews for Better Nails and Spa. I found photographs of their work and I liked what I saw! I called first thing in the morning and scheduled an appointment for a full acrylic set with Christine. I arrived and was pleasantly surprised that there's plenty of parking. The spa is super cute. The floor was spotless, the massage pedicure chairs were new, and the TVs were set to relaxing Channels that coupled with the relaxing music was pure bliss. I showed Christine a screenshot of the French Ombré nails I wanted. She look at the photo saying she could replicate them and got right to work to duplicate them EXACTLYMy nails are the prefect length... perfect thickness... perfectly square... and she replicated the ombré exactly as I hoped Lynne was assigned to my pedicure. She was so pleasant and made sure she understood what pedicure options I wanted from the menu! Given I hadn't had a pedicure in over a year... I was almost embarrassed by the callous on my heels. I apologized for my rough feet and selected the Luxury Pedicure... probably the best given my heels. Lynne got to work and when it came time to addressing my heels she produced a cheese grater tool. I didn't know what to expect... but when she was done my heels were baby soft I had such a pleasant experience at Better Nails & Spa... I left with baby soft beautiful feet, gorgeous hands/nails and sense of relaxation that I really needed. Thank you Christine and Lynne! One last comment... while I sat getting my hands and feet pampered I did get a chance to see the other technicians work... they are all very talented read more

I wouldn't go back. My nail tech was rushing the whole time and did a sloppy job. My nail lady kept on getting up and was calling someone while doing my nails. People who walked in and said they had an appointment but they just said "can you come back later" and that's not in my control but it's terrible service. I may have just had the worst pedicure of my life. The man performing the spa pedicure service was rushed and sloppy. The whole service was over in 20 minutes. No scrub, no hot towels, no hot stones--all things that were in included in my services in NJ. He didn't even make toe separators for my feet or apply the polish after my sandals were put on. To make matters worse he was coughing during the entire service and did not wear a mask. When he was finished with me he ran into the bathroom where people in the service area could clearly hear him getting sick. Came out without a mask. No reason to ever return here. read more
