My nails were filed very unevenly and now an infected toe nail bed (redness and swelling on the medial aspect of the toe nail bed)

I have gone to this salon for several months. Lots of pros and cons. I must say my last visit will br my last. Pros: friendly staff and clean Cons: the inconsistency of quality of nails. I was there a week ago and now i have an infected toe nail bed. My gel nails tend to always chip The picture will also show how uneven she cut and filed my nails. Ive had two great visits where nails looked beautiful. Its just a hit or miss salon.

My daughter went to get her nails done. She told the nail tech that her nails were uneven and looked horrible, and the nail tech said that's the way they were supposed to be. We called and talked to the owner, Kenny, and he kept coming up with excuses saying they already paid the tech told us to come back to fix them so we did and they closed and he hung up on us, so unprofessional and rude. We have given them so many chances DON'T COME HERE!!!!!!

I gave this place a shot when I moved here in December, it's a 4 min walk from my house. Super convenient as I have 2 babies. So it's really sad that I had the experiences I had. The lady was super rough during my first pedicure and cut a pretty decent piece out of my skin. It bled and she didn't even acknowledge the cut, let alone apologize. She actually filed over it. It was so painful and made me not want to go back, super awkward. Decided to go back for dip nails, lady was nicer but talked poorly about the Chinese food next door. My nails chipped within the week. Fast forward to today, my husband and kids walk me over to the nail place for an emergency pedicure (having doubts). They closed at 7pm, it's 6:20 and the doors wide open. I walk in to a boy sitting at the front desk on his phone w AirPods and a women on her phone, neither looked up until I asked if they could do a pedicure. The women looked up at me stupidly with a "huh", I repeated myself and she said "we're closed". My husband and I looked at the times and it read 7pm, which she rudely responded they didn't have anyone available, I kindly let her know if they were closed then they should at least shut the door. They both continued on there phones. I have not experienced such rude customer service like this in so long, I have no idea how a business like this is in a neighborhood like this one. Let alone with good reviews, this is 3 bad experiences in a row. The workers are always on there phones when we walk by and there's maybe 1 customer. Do not go here.

Kenny and Christine have recently purchased this salon and I have followed them from their prior location (Luxury Nails). Christine does a wonderful job doing my gel nails, and she is also very fast. I bring in sample pictures of french tip nail designs I like and she is able to re-create them for me. She is very artistic! Kenny does my pedicures, and he gives a great leg massage. He can't get too creative with my toenails because they are very small. :) Their prices are reasonable, and they also do waxing. I appreciate that they speak fluent English, which makes it a lot easier to describe what I want done. Their new salon decor is beautiful, too! It is a very relaxing atmosphere with soft music playing in the background. There are also TVs to watch, if you wish to do that. I have been a customer of Kenny and Christine for about 3 years now, after having tried other nail salons in the area. I am very happy with them and their services. I wish them all the best in their new location!

This lady made two of my nails bleed and one of them the entire time was gushing blood and she never bothered to say sorry! The nametag on her desk said Cristine I guess that is her name. I will never go back to this place. Still charged me full price and I tipped her when I wanted to cry the whole time. read more

Clean modern salon. Tiffany did a great job on my pedicure today. I had (ouch) 2 ingrown toenails and she was able to fix them efficiently. Overall 5 star service. The massage chairs are great too!!! A bit expensive at $48 for a pedicure plus a 20 percent tip. Only negative is I was told the basic pedicure at $38 didn't include color polish. I thought that was strange. So I had to go for the Luxury Pedicure at $48 to get nail polish. I've never heard of that!!! read more

Though the floor plan is a bit long and narrow, the space still feels very clean and open. The staff were very kind and accommodating to my wants and needs. I've been to a few different nail salons while living in the valley and this one is definitely one I'll be returning to. It's been about two weeks since my visit. Kind of expensive, at $83 for pedicure/manicure and small wax job of an upper lip seemed ridiculous. I'll probably look elsewhere as it's not necessary to spend this much in a town with a salon on every corner. read more

Better Nails & Spa came highly recommended by a trusted friend. I made an appointment and did arrive a few minutes late and would have gladly waited as the nail tech I had requested was busy with another customer. However, the man who greeted (actually growled) at me was so rude and told me that four other people were coming so I could not have a pedicure. I would have had to wait anyways but his gruff manor and rudeness are the key reasons I will never return. This man could use a course in respect and customer relations and learn how to better speak to people. read more

I have been going to Kenny for years now. He is the best, I definitely recommend Better nails. He always has my feet looking right, he's the only person that does my gel French tip pedicures. Love my Christmas gel mani. Very happy with Christine. I called last minute and she was able to get me in right away. My last gel mani with Christine lasted 4 weeks (when I've gone to other salons they normally start chipping after 1-2 wks). And I got a gel pedi there about 6 weeks ago and it still looks great! read more

I was not impressed with my recent experience here. I liked that I was able to walk in without an appointment, but when I entered the three staff members sitting around on their phones all acted like they were annoyed that I walked in. None of them wanted to help me until they mumbled something to each other and a lady helped me. I felt like she went really quick and did not pay attention to the details. She took off my gel nails well, but then when she went to do my normal manicure she barely did two coats of polish which didn't evenly reach the edges of my nails. Now, it has been over a week and a half since this experience and when I tried to take off the chipping polish at home it was almost impossible to remove on my own. They got the job done, and my nails looked fine afterward, but I have had much better experiences elsewhere. read more

Extremely satisfied! I got a pedicure and acrylic nails my pedicure was more than an hour which I really loved they also took their time with it and didn't rush. I absolutely love my acrylic nails I was very indecisive and Christine helped me out and we both decided to do acrylic frenchies which came out stunning. Definitely will be going back. read more

I have gone there off and on for several years. I went in February and asked for the Spa pedicure. The man that did my pedicure was so angry I didn't add on more services... he didn't scrub my feet, he added moisturizer cream to my legs but no massage even for a minute... I asked if he was going to massage my legs, he said NO... he proceeded to put on polish... I didn't leave a tip nor will I go back! This man had anger issues!!! Poor service... nasty!!! read more

My mom, daughter, and I visited Better Nails when we were in the desert for my mom's birthday. We wanted to get our toes done while we were in town & Better Nails is her salon of choice. The staff were friendly and attentive. Kenny had a station near the door and greeted almost everyone who entered by name. Our pedicures were reasonably priced (there were a lot of different packages available in different price ranges) and the experience was very relaxing. The three of us were all very happy with how cute our toes looked! My only suggestion to the owners would be to change the name from "Better Nails" to "Best Nails"! You guys are selling yourselves short! read more

I am so excited to have found a wonderful nail salon, that doesn't lie about there prices, when they tell you how much a service is that's what you pay. In years my nails haven't looked this good, I'm so happy with Christine & Kenny once you try them you won't want to go to anyone else. The 2 negative reviews are false, they must of got there nail places mixed up with someone else, when you walk into there salon they treat you like family. If you want an excellent place to get your nails done, go to Better Nails next to Albertsons in Rancho Mirage you'll be so happy you did! read more

His hands were so shaky he dropped the nail polish on my freshly painted nail. He had to start again on that nail. His utensils were filthy and were not sterilized. He also kept complaining about how hungry he was. This place is awful stay away.

I feel like treatment is very thorough. For the last two months I have been out of town and have had to go to another salon. It doesn't compare!! My nails have chipped quickly and the massage after the manicure was only on my hands (not forearms as well) and very brief. I miss Rejuvenation Nails and can hardly wait to return for the quality care!

The artist who tattooed me, Fiona, was actually the one who drew the flash I chose, which made it even better. The session went quickly, but she never rushed -- it was super chill. Kenny and Christine have relocated their nail salon from Luxury Nails located on Fred Waring next to Trader Joe's to Better Nails in the Albertsons Shopping Center at the corner of Monterey and Country Club. Kenny and Christine are very sweet, professional and offer a variety of spa services. They are both always on time and courteous to all their clients. I have been their client for at least 4 years. I came to Better Nails and Spa in Palm Deser for the first time today and LOVED it! Eric did my nails and did a fantastic job, absolute perfectionist! I have always done gel manicures, but he encouraged me to try the Dipping Powder. WOW! It looks better than gels and it will not chip! So I would highly recommend him. I've been in the valley for 20 years and have my nails and toes done every 4 to 6 weeks. I LOVE the owners and people at Better Nails and followed my nail lady here from another salon. Have been to many salons, but never have I found one where everyone is pleasant and most speak English as needed, which is nice.
