    Chips and salsa

Yum! This hole in the wall will have you coming back and wanting to gate keep the spot! I'm not going to attempt to spell what I ordered because I definitely would spell it wrong HOWEVER their barbacoa and their pollo asada and carne asada are cooked perfectly. Not overcooked and dry which can be tricky with Barbacoa. Here, they steam the barbacoa which creates this amazing moist flavorful meat that just melts in your mouth. Service was friendly and knowledgeable and gave us the background on the restaurant. This place opened just a few weeks prior to Covid and managed to keep it going. During the down time they took the opportunity to revitalize the dining area, and the menu! Went from prepackaged and frozen items to fresh hand made quality dishes (so glad I can after the revitalization!) Chips and salsas are on point and I love anywhere that serves a bean salsa with a verde salsa - especially when they're amazing! 10/10 will be back (matter of fact I've already been back )

I came here to try the birria ramen and it was delicious! The server was happy to tell us about their most popular dishes for next time (and there will be a next time). The chips were served with salsa and a bean dip. The bean dip left us wanting more. The birria ramen did not disappoint. It was quite the serving and the garnishes gave it so much flavor. The spicy salsa enhanced all the flavors. The server told us it would do so, and he was right. It's a small place with tv's. They play music which I enjoyed very much. They do not serve alcohol. Parking is easy in the lot. Although it's a small restaurant, I noticed a lot of takeout, which is always a good sign.

Very authentic! Got an order to go easy to order friendly service. Very small restaurant with modern renovations interior, but no windows. Probably be cozy for winter, but hot for summer to dine inside. Price is reasonable for this area, but not cheap. Based on the quality of the food it's worth it.

Fish and prawn fajitas that my wife loved!

How would I sum up the taste of the food, the variety of dishes that are offered, the service and the friendliness of the owner in one word? A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. We've only eaten there twice (I had a carne asada burrito, my wife had some chicken soup and my bro-in-law had a bowl of birria the first time we were there) but today my wife had the prawns and fish fajitas while I had a barbacoa beef chimichanga. Our first trip there was excellent. Today it was nothing short of AMAZING. That is THE best chimichanga that I have EVER had in my life (and I've eaten a lot of them). The barbacoa was NOT too salty like it can be in some places. And the fact that they covered it with house-made queso and a lovely red sauce of some kind made it even better! My wife said that she would definitely eat the fish and prawn fajitas again! I can't wait to show the place to my sister. She'll love it just like my wife, bro-in-law and I do! Don't be put off by the outside appearance. The place is clean inside and Ruben (I'm not sure if it is spelled like that or Reuben) is a very engaging individual who is a joy to talk with!

Better Oaxaca restaurant hosts a cool and clean eatery. I found my way here with a Yelp map.

Best fish tacos I've ever had. Perfect! Not deep fried but cooked in a pan. The fresh tilapia came generously covered in herbs and spices. I don't know how the cook did it, but he or she used so little oil with the fish, that I did not see nor taste cooking oil. My server, a smiling lovely woman, suggested I might try their Aguas Frescas. They make a fresh watermelon drink with just a tad of sugar. She gave me wonderful table service, too. The chips were served with a warm bean dip and a green salsa, both quite delightful . The restaurant section is super clean and looks quite new. Also above the bar and the restaurant area they have some various fans going which move air quite nicely. I feel so comfortable having lunch here.

Craving tacos in a different city, 1st things 1st open yelp. I did a search and this place came up and looked really good. We pulled up and it's easy to find and parking right in front. Very modern inside, clean. The chips and salsa were different, and in such a good way. They give green salsa and a black bean warm dip. That was so good! 5 stars just for that dip & salsa. Between the two of us we got 4 regular tacos: 2 steak, 1 pastor & 1 carnitas and a can soda each and that was $23.98- I'd say that was a fantastic price for the food taste & quality.. and we're full. We're in this area a lot but have never stopped into this city/town and for sure will start coming by and trying more items. I believe they have homemade tortillas which is another added plus.

Amazing fajitas! Always on the lookout for fajitas…read more Service is quick and attentive and the restaurant vibes are great!

I really wanted to like this place but after 4+ orders half in person and half through door dash…read morethey never seemed to get it right. I spoke with the manager after my last experience telling the they messed up our order so many times that it was extremely frustrating. The last experience i asked for no sour cream on the nachos i was very clear. Well they put sour cream. I asked for extra sauce, onions tomatoes and cilantro (which they charged me four dollars extra) which is fine but if you are going to charge for it then make sure its what i asked for. Hardly any sauce and definitely not extra onions, tomatoes or cilantro. Looked like the normal amount they give and charged me four dollars more. So the manager apologized and said next time you come in the burrito will be on us and he was very apologetic. He said there will be a note upfront. Well i go in to order some food let the lady know what the manager had told me and to my surprise there was no note and they didn't honor it. They called the manager no response. I told them i was upset and to please have the manager reach out tomorrow. Im still waiting on the phone call.. I decided to still order give them another shot. I ordered my food and paid .. and they still messed up up my order when i asked for no pico and sour cream on my nachos they put sour cream. Smh. Had to remake it. Since this establishment simply cant honor their WORD and always mess up my orders i will not be returning.

The enchiladas were not great compared to the rest of the food. They were a bit thick and not as filled as they coulda been. I also think the shrimp fajitas plate should had came out flaming or sizzling/ smoking like the other ones I saw but mine came out just like hot plate. I think it sat in the window. The service was great! She was so nice and attentive plus we sat right across the bar in the booth which was comfy and good vibrations. Lively place for yummy food &drinks I would absolutely return for authentic mexican food.

Chips undercooked and just one small salsa portion cup had some heat but was Kind of bland like store bought. They had the football game on . Bar was busy. Our food was brought out very quickly. Wife had chicken Quesadillas i had the regular grilled chicken burrito. It was all just "okay" . The burrito was dry left me wanting more of the enchilada sauce on it. Quesadillas were better at least had sides of sour cream guac and pico de gallo. The staff was attentive fountain pepsi was somewhat flat. On the way out the bathroom was absolutely horrendous. Pee all over the seat and poop smell as an employee walked out.

The bar area - a host of great tequillas. It's usually easy to just drop in and get a spot at the bar - even when the restaurant is full.
