Amazing portions! The fish was so big and delicious. We happened to go when they were out of slaw and to make to us whole they gave us a truckload of fries. Thank you kindly, but we couldn't finish them all. Lol. If we're ever in Petaluma again, Cape Cod is on our list.

Our friend wanted to celebrate his birthday with fish & chips and he remembered dining here when they were located in the Oliver's shopping center. The birthday boy hoped it was just as good as before because he said it was THE BEST. The interior was clean and a nice man greeted us as we entered. There are small tables in the front dining area with a TV, a few small tables in the hallway against the wall and larger tables in the very back with another TV. The menu looked really good. The nice server was very personable and has enjoyed working there for many years, a refreshing change! He got each of us a tall ice water and as he came back to take our order, I happened to ask him about their 1-piece vs 2-piece fish and chips. I told him I was thinking about the 2-piece and he said that would be quite a bit of food since their fish pieces are quite large. I appreciated his honesty. We ordered two one-piece fish & chips meals and the birthday boy got the fish & chips with 2 prawns. We also ordered a cup of clam chowder to see how they compared to our favorite place out at the coast. I am a big fan of a good french fry and I must tell you these are one of the best I've had. They were served hot and seasoned perfectly. Full five stars on the fries. Our server was indeed being honest when he said the fish pieces are large. The fish are generous, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Our friend was highly impressed with his huge prawns and wouldn't stop smiling as he enjoyed his meal. He loved the homemade cocktail and tartar sauce too. Our nice server gave the guys an extra cocktail and tartar sauce which they both enjoyed immensely with their meal. The clam chowder with oyster crackers on the side was okay. We probably won't order it again but glad we tried it. They also serve fried oysters and calamari and for those who don't like seafood, they have burgers, chili dogs, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches and pulled pork sandwiches. Thank you for your kind service and wonderful food. We will definitely be back. I was happy to see that the restaurant served many customers while we were dining there.

These are some bold words. This just might be, the best "fish and chips" place in the Bay Area and I've lived and worked all over the BayArea. Now I'm not saying the best seafood spot. The best spot, that is a "fish and chips" establishment. I've gone to many places that claim to be super fresh fish. Usually, in one way or another there is a fishy smell. But not here, not even a hint! The service is quick and friendly. You can order at the counter or grab a menu, sit down and they'll come to you. If you want to order to go, just go up to the counter and place your order. Like I said, I honestly believe this might be the best "fish and chips" in the Bay Area. You know, when you go to a place that deep fries food and once you're done, you feel like you've ever lost five years of your life or your insides are coated in oil. Not the case here. The times that I've eaten here, I didn't end up, with a greasy basket. I don't know if they're putting it through a vacuum cleaner or piece by piece, drying it off. I will tell you this you will not get greasy food! so far I've had the fish and chips and the cod, prawn and chips. Also, the fountain drinks are great. They've got the mixture down right. OK, now you know aaand go.

I didn't ever notice this place until I discovered a sourdough sandwich place next door a few weeks ago , I decided to try it. Why not it's Friday! Everything I ordered came out fresh and piping hot, even the thick wedge fries. The lady taking orders and serving people was very polite. She packed my to go order with ketchup, malt vinegar and napkins. I couldn't resist I ate some here. The crunch with every bite was beyond my imagination. Thank you Cap Cod for such a nice experience."

The fried mushrooms and zucchini are my favorite, sometimes I'll just order those Togo. Cod is good nice crunchy breading but bland, the tartar sauce has a lot of flavor so it makes up for it. Service was fast and friendly. Food is good and filling but with the prices are as high as something you would get in Bodega Bay. Good lunch to have every now and then.

Didn't think much of it as I walked in. The service was good and the menu options are robust (though they were out of a few things). Ordered the Fish Tacos and the Fish and Chips. I really liked the fish tacos! Big portion (1 big taco) with a lot of fish and homemade salsa, highly recommended. The fish and chips was good but not great. Large portion (2 pieces meal) with a lot of fries. The crust was too thick for my liking but others may like that. I enjoyed the cole slaw salad a lot! For me I don't think I'll be rushing to come back as there are other fish and chips options around town I would rank higher.

Ask the Community - Cape Cod Fish N' Chips

Is Cape Cod under new ownership / Mgmt? 2 meals in the last month not very good. Chowder is different, fish tastes refrozen, different batter, inept service....…

I logged in to ask the same question. The batter was different. The coleslaw was different. The oysters were very different. The new prices caught me by surprise at the register.

Am I a *little* crazy for driving 1.5 hours from SF just to try out a new seafood boil spot?…read morePossibly...and left not disappointed. I enjoy more of an "asian" taste when it comes to seafood boil flavors, so the fact that this place has hotpot only made my expectations higher. Prices are fair, and there were empty spots with no line by the time I left (6PM). I ordered 1lb of head on shrimp, clam, and mussel with the combo of potatoes, corn and sausage, with a side of garlic noodles. The highlight is the Simmer Sauce, which is a sweet, spicy, and a little savory/garlicky. The medium packed a kick, so I would definitely get mild for the low spice tolerance people. Shrimp was huge and tasted pretty fresh. Clams varied in size with some clam meat being smaller than others. Mussels were solid, but I noticed we had a couple of closed shells. The garlic noodles paired perfectly with everything, acting both as carbs and great for dipping in the sauce. Although this place beats most if not all seafood boils in the bay area, I had to wait about 30min for my garlic noodles. My server claimed they were making a new batch, but it was a little disappointing having mostly finished everything before they were served. I also had to flag my server down instead of them coming over for updates on my order and getting my bill. The seafood boil came within 10min otherwise though.

There were a lot of food trucks in the area, but since it was cold we were looking for something indoor. We agreed to come here even though it was a bit of a drive from where we were. At first glance we thought it was closed because the closed sign was in the front, but luckily they were open. In all honesty, the place could use a deep cleaning. The bathroom wasn't too bad, which I really appreciated, but the restaurant needs an update. Our server was great, very nice. She brought us out some chips and salsa which were good. They have a pretty good sized menu, which made it hard to choose from but we ended up both getting camarones ala diabla and an order of fried shrimp tacos. Our shrimp plates were good. I really liked the rice. The shrimp's sauce was a bit sweeter than we usually like but we both finished our plates, lol. The shrimp tacos were disappointing. I think they may have left them in the fryer for too long, so the shells were so hard and the shrimp really dehydrated. If I was in the area, I'd give them another try.

I had arrived earlier for my reservation and asked if I could be accommodated and be seated earlier. She had me wait a few minutes to see if my request could be met and she was able to make it happen. Once seated, I was greeted by a server who was great during my time there. As a starter, I ordered the ICEBERG WEDGE which was BIG! It was topped with bacon, tomatoes, red onions, chives, little butter croutons, and Maytag Blue Cheese dressing. It was really good. For the main, I ordered the 630 PARK SIGNATURE PRIME RIB. I explained to the server that I want the prime rib cooked medium rare. I CANNOT enjoy or eat a prime rib or steak that's cooked medium or well done. He said he'd make sure it was cooked to my liking and he sure did! It came out a perfect medium rare! It was a thick cut that could be split between 2 people. It was served with whipped potatoes which unfortunately cannot be subbed out for a baked potato. The whipped potatoes were good though. Buttery and creamy. *Nice dim lighting feels inside. Great for a date either before or after a show at the EVENT. I went to the Khelani concert so if you do have a reservation let anyone who will be attending know the time too because the Graton WiFi was not working and my cell phone service went to SOS. Horrible. Understandable for a big event (for a casino) but if I ever did that again, I'd set up a meeting time and place with anyone who is supposed to be there at the restaurant.

Our waiter (Carlos) had a smart aleck attitude that we did not appreciate the whole evening. His lack of attentiveness to his guest was appalling. First, we ordered the lobster chowder to start. We were served French Onion Soup instead. I complained to Carlos and his response was "yes, we brought you the wrong soup but the French Onion Soup is excellent" We didnt want French Onion Soup!! A bus boy corrected the order. Then Carlos disappeared and we couldn't find him so we had to ask the bus boys and other waiters to help us with anything we needed. I asked another waiter what happened to Carlos? His reply "Carlos went home". Okay, if he went home then who is our waiter? I thought, "shouldn't he tell us that he was leaving and a different waiter would be taking care of our table?" Twenty minutes later I see Carlos returning to our table I asked him "what happened, they said you went home?". He made no apology and said "i had to put out a fire because the credit card machine wasn't working". I understand that technical problems happen, but no apology and smart aleck comments are not acceptable. If he was preoccupied with the credit card machine then another waiter should have covered our needs, not lying to us in saying our waiter went home!! Finally we asked for boxes for our left overs, he hands us 3 boxes and leaves. At the table next to us, their waiter boxed the left overs and placed them in a bag for them. This is what I would expect at a high end restaurant. So I yell across the room at Carlos "Can I get a bag for our left overs?" Again Carlos's smart aleck response was "Sure I can bring 1,2 or 3" he yells across the room. In conclusion we loved the food and atmosphere of the restaurant, but one bad apple can ruin the entire experience.
