The food was great, my drink was great, it is a good place to go for a casual weeknight outing. It was loud inside, limited seating for larger families. We sat at the bar and the service was still a little slow.

The food here is solid. The fried green tomatoes are good, not too greasy, and solid, not mushy. I would probably try a different app next time we go but they were good. The tenderloin sandwich was perfectly done. Great sauce, toasty bread, the fries were perfect. This was a date night sans kinds which is a special treat in our world. We like to try different things so we split everything. In hindsight we would've just ordered the app and entree at the same time and shared because we did get charged a $2 fee for sharing. Not a big deal but we would do it different next time. We had read reviews about the brûlée and probably would have tried it but when our server Haley came back we didnt really get the chance and didn't feel like backtracking when she had already left to get the bill. The service was probably the biggest negative for us. She just seemed annoyed to be there, maybe she didn't feel great, I don't know. And the place was pretty empty (minus the bar). We weren't ordering a ton just because it was a quick little date for us before we had to pick up kids, so maybe she was just annoyed it was a slow night... either way, that was a bummer. But we'll be back, the food was really good.

Drive by this place all the time on our way to Charleston and finally said let's try it. Well big mistake. Pork chop I had was dry and scallop portion my wife had was small . $30 for 5 small scallops and a cup of risotto was kinda pricey for a strip mall joint. The plate it came on was too big also, which made the portion look even smaller. It was the fastest dinner I think we ever ate. Not because the food was so good, but because the portions were so small. We were hoping we would like it, but it's a one and done for us. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a good value or for atmosphere, which it had pretty much none.

I've been coming here for a year and have never been disappointed! This was the first time I made it for brunch and it was amazing!

Nice local Southern brunch spot in the old Pierpont neighborhood of Charleston. I started off with the Fried Green Tomatoes ($9), which are a regional classic. Coming from someone who had never tried this before, I thought they were really good- nicely fried on the outside and the pimento cheese and fig balsamic made it very flavorful in very different ways (cheese was salty/savory and balsamic is more sweet/sour). Shrimp and Grits ($19) is a Southern classic and this place did it well with classic grits and nice gravy on the inner portion with well-cooked shrimp. The Chicken Ciabatta sandwich ($15) had soft ciabatta bread, and the apple slices inside added some nice crunch and sweetness. The bacon was of course good as well and added some saltiness. We got additional truffle parmesan fries with yummy garlic aioli sauce (which were very good) for only $1 extra. The restaurant is decently sized and was fairly busy for Saturday brunch. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive. The service speed was quick. The place is a part of a larger shopping plaza with a large parking lot in front, which is convenient. Overall, I would give Betty Lou's Bistro 4.5 stars if I could (only not giving 5 stars because there could have been slightly more of a "wow" factor). I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a Southern brunch spot in the area.

5/5 Stars - Absolutely Incredible!…read more This spot is a total gem. We ordered a vanilla cinnamon iced latte, a cappuccino, a smoothie, a breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel, and a strawberry pop-tart, and every single item was outstanding- gluten free options too!!! The breakfast sandwich was perfect--flavorful, fresh, and served on a perfectly toasted everything bagel. The strawberry pop-tart was unreal, an elevated treat, and the drinks hit the spot. The iced latte had just the right balance of vanilla and cinnamon without being overly sweet, the cappuccino was expertly crafted, and the smoothie was incredibly refreshing. Beyond the food, the vibe here is immaculate. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the background music is great, and the workers are exceptionally friendly. It's the perfect place to kickstart your morning. We will definitely be back!

It is much more casual than I thought, with some of the menu (like bowls and salads) already made and ready to grab from the fridge. So happy we ended up staying because everything was fantastic. We ordered at the counter, grabbed drinks from the fridge and found a table on the side, covered patio. Food was brought out super quickly and it was absolutely delicious. I got the St. Philip pita, which was incredible and almost tasted like a halal cart chicken sandwich in the best way. It was so filling and so good. It came with a really tasty side salad. My fiance got the BLT which was just as great. I can see this being a really ideal space to bring my laptop and get some work done if I lived in the area. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a great, casual space for breakfast, lunch or coffees.

A review posted in honor of the experience one of my friends had this past week -…read more My husband and I came to Charleston specifically for the food, and out of all the amazing meals we had, Miller's All Day was hands down our favorite. We came for breakfast and started with the banana bread with Nutella cream cheese -- absolutely incredible. We also split the cornmeal pancakes, which were so good we came back the next morning just to have them again. I ordered the B.E.C. with the home fries, and I can honestly say they may have been the best potatoes I've ever had in any form. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and they practically melted in my mouth. My husband had the turkey club and said it was fantastic as well. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and memorable. We loved it so much we went back the very next day. 10/10 -- highly recommend if you're visiting Charleston!

He also had a meal removed from the bill - it was brought out Luke warm unfortunately. Overall food was good everyone was happy with their choices. Burger didn't come with fries but was big enough to fill up an 18 year old boy. Salad had a great sauce, was a little thrown off with the cold waffle but it's supposed to come like that server said. The avocado toast was so good but eggs were cold unfortunately. It didn't ruin the taste so still recommend. Visited on vacation but I would go back and try other plates.

Popular brunch spot & a good option on Sundays when not every place is open on King's Street…read more There is a bit of a wait (could be over 30 min), depending on the size of your crowd. Our waiter was super busy & at times hard to flag down. He did a nice job of refills for the kids, but when the food came out, we literally had zero napkins and zero utensils. That is basic stuff- I shouldn't have to flag down people for when getting seated. I ended up finding another waiter who was helping to bring out our food and asking him for napkins and cutlery. The beignets here are not what you expect- think super mini ones versus the classic ones you get from Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans or other joints. We would have placed two orders of them except I knew the brunch plates would be big, and we wanted our kiddos to eat their meal before filling up on sweets. I got the Meeting plate- double portion of crab cakes on top of fried green tomatoes with grits and a huge buttermilk biscuit, where I didn't finish the biscuit and had one of our kids eat half of it. I was craving some fried green tomatoes but also wanted seafood so that worked out! My partner got the fried green tomatoes BLT and loved it. One of our kids got the chicken and waffles, another ate all of the fried chicken tenderloins, and our third really wanted buttermilk pancakes that were a hefty plate. No shortage of being hungry at this place! The food was good, but I would not say it was anything too different than any other brunch place-but for, the fried green tomatoes & other southern offerings like grits that you wouldn't get in other parts of the country. There are only two wash rooms, so there can be a wait especially when you have a long line of ladies waiting FYI. Prices are not too bad and standard for brunch so still an alternative when you are looking for fuel to fill up before doing your shopping on King's Street.
