Beverliz Cafe is a cute, casual restaurant that is open for breakfast and lunch. The food is consistent, the service is exceptional, and the atmosphere is cheery. It is diner-ish but the menu and quality are much more elevated. I prefer lunch to their breakfast menu but both are delicious. The vibe is down to earth and local, which is quite a contrast to most restaurants in Beverly Hills, and you can come as you are and feel comfortable. Beverliz Cafe is one of my favorites on the S Beverly Drive strip. read more

Had a nice breakfast at Beverliz Cafe. French toast breakfast was delicious. The pancakes tasted like they came out of a boxed mix where you just add water - they were tough and not tender or fluffy. Beverliz is a cute cafe with a good vibe and an expansive menu, but much of my experience was fairly average. I went for a recent weekday brunch and ordered the breakfast burrito bowl. It was pretty tasty, but the portion was super small, especially for $20. My brother and I both wanted hot coffee and were a little surprised to learn that they only had espresso drinks. I don't mind an Americano, I just thought it was odd that a cute cafe like Beverliz doesn't have regular drip coffee. The service was decent -- very nice staff, but we were largely ignored despite the restaurant not being particularly full. And we had to wave someone down just so we could pay. There was also no public restroom, which was surprising for a restaurant. At least there's plenty of meters and street parking in the area. Overall, it's a cute place with decent food! I searched Yelp for a place nearby for breakfast. I wanted a place where I could sit outside and enjoy the weather and people watch. Yelp always helps me out!! This place was super cute! It had a bright yellow awning, which made it easy to find. It had several cute, bistro tables, sitting outside, welcoming the hungry patrons. I walked in, and there were many tables inside, too, for those that don't want to sit outside. Quickly one of the staff greeted me with a smile and told me to sit anywhere I'd like. He was super friendly and very welcoming! I chose to sit outside, so I found a good spot for people watching. The first thing I ordered was coffee. They had many options for specialty coffees, which I would have loved to order, but I stuck with black coffee with heavy cream. I was surprised that they had heavy cream, because most people think that gravy cream is half-and-half. Which it is not. So that made my coffee drinking morning even better. The coffee was amazing and hot!! I am currently on a low-carb diet and the menu provided many options for me, which was great! I ordered a scramble which had ground turkey, veggies cheese, and it was delicious! Instead of hashbrowns or toast, I was able to get tomatoes and cottage cheese.. I know cottage cheese, and tomatoes doesn't sound very exciting, but it was very good. As I ate my breakfast, the gentleman checked on me often and was very friendly. I also witnessed him working with other customers, and he was friendly, welcoming, and had a smile on his face the whole time. I also saw that one of the employees does deliveries. He hopped on a bicycle with a basket that held somebody's order and went for a delivery. I thought that was pretty cool. I really enjoyed my breakfast and my quiet time on a beautiful day. Fantastic Breakfast & Service. My mom had the breakfast quesadilla with grilled veggies and I had the Dr. Eldridge Omelet sandwich on a croissant. Both were hearty and made to perfection. This gem has been here for 25yrs. They offer a huge menu that spans Breakfast & Lunch across a variety of food types and it's all made in house by scratch (except the bread and pastries). Indoor seating is a plenty with several tables also outside. I would highly recommend! The owner is wonderful. Go support a long time local business, who serves delicious food! read more

Nearly one year later, I decided to give Beverliz Cafe another chance and, now, woefully regret doing so. Nothing much has changed since my previous review. Their customer service still STINKS! I requested the low-carb side of cottage cheese and tomatoes, but they forgot (or refused to include) tomatoes. Additionally, I requested condiments but received NONE. Thirdly, they completely ignored/dismissed my request for specific condiments (butter/jam for the toast and ketchup). Sound familiar? I really enjoyed the hospitality here. For me, personally, I love spicy foods and greasy foods full of flavor. I didn't get it from the standard chicken quesadillas but it wasn't bad. So yeah I've been coming to this place since 2007 and it's been ten years and here I am making a review. Haha! Unbelievable. If you're in Beverly Hills looking for some great food and great price, this is the place. They have all the delicious breakfast you can think of and they serve kabob with rice. Yes to rice! Haha. Healthier side, they do have great choices of salad and quinoa and Mexican dishes too. The owner/couple Ana and Art are friendly and you feel very at home when you dine in here. Shout out to the cool servers Elias and Leo! They're the best! The only thing from keeping me of giving them five stars is the parking issue. Just hard to get one in this area. Just experienced the guy working the register at this restaurant being very nasty and mean to one of its delivery guys. The delivery guy asked a lady working there for a cup of water, and the guy working the register immediately said "NO" very nasty and didn't give that poor man any water after he had just brought in the load and placed it where it needed to be placed. That upset me and I didn't even want to eat at this establishment anymore, so I just left. I would never want to spend my money where you have a guy being a jerk and nasty to their delivery men. Beverliz has been my co-worker and I's favorite lunch spot every Tuesdays and Thursdays. We are obsessed with the garlic bread. It's so addicting and pairs wonderfully with the Salmon Pesto Angel Hair Pasta. The Italian Chopped Salad is sooo good - it comes with huge chunks of salami, turkey, tomatoes, cucumbers, sun-dried tomatoes. We also tried the chili cheese fries today and they were perfectly cheesy and crispy. The roasted cauliflower soup is delicious! Oh! There's this amazing Habanero hot sauce available too - it's got a great kick and goes amazing with basically everything. It's also dog friendly because there is outside seating with a few tables and chairs outside which make dining in good weather and people watching on Beverly Blvd a perk too. They serve breakfast all day and have delicious danishes and pastries. The service is such a delight - everyone treats you like you are an old friend and remembers your usual order. Don't be fooled by the pictures. The food was terrible. Tasted worse than a McDonald's breakfast. Very bland. The size of the restaurant also caught us off guard...it was so small inside and with more than 2-3 different people seated it's very loud, the patio would've been nice had it not been raining. I was hungry and was immediately serviced. The venue is a nice open and bright location. It seems perfect for families and get togethers. I found parking quite easily and there is ample paid parking in the lot next to the restaurant. I enjoyed my breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, and toast. My order came out in no more than 10 minutes..WOW!!!It taste great and I devoured the entire breakfast. The server was pleasant and very accommodating. Beverliz has all of your standard lunch options: salads, burgers, sandwiches, etc. Luckily, they had my favorite kind of salad- BBQ chicken chopped salad (BBQ chicken breast, chopped tomato, black beans, com, basil, shredded cheese, tortilla chips, & romaine in house BBQ ranch dressing). And for good measure, my friends and I split an order of fries. Fries weren't the best I've ever had but still decent. The salad was very large and filling. Decently priced. Had I written a review a couple of years ago (pre-Covid) it would have probably been a five-star, but I had breakfast there yesterday (March 12, 2022), and was greatly disappointed by the food and the service. Meeting a friend, I arrived ten minutes early; the server inside told me to go ahead and sit wherever I wanted in the patio and he would be with me in a minute. There was one other family seated out there--and while I was waiting another party of two arrived and sat inside (my point being there were only three tables requiring service, including mine). Ten minutes later my friend arrived; the server had still not visited my table--no harm no foul at that point--but the two of us sat there for at least another ten-fifteen minutes before I finally got up, went inside, and asked him if he would please bring us some water and take our order. Eventually, he came out to take our order (no water in tow). I was planning to eat breakfast, but my friend only wanted a cappucino--and the server seemed a bit salty that she wasn't eating... but before he got to me, he muttered, "just a minute" and ran back inside for something (!) When he finally came back out I ordered an omelette and asked if they would please prepare it fritatta style (something they have done for me in the past more than once). He replied with a brusque "No." and pointed to the menu, saying "It's an Omelette," as if I couldn't read. I mentioned that the restaurant had been willing to do this for me in the past, but he remained unmoved. Resigned, I ordered the omelette, a cup of coffee, and asked again for some water. Eventually our coffee drinks arrived--but no water. After a little while my omelette came and I asked again. Nothing. I ended up having to go back inside, and ask for it yet again. We finally got our water--but remember, this server still had only THREE TABLES. I'll allow that there also may have been some phone orders he was dealing with, but his brusque demeanor and inattentiveness was quite remarkable. Also, the Club Omelette I ordered was about as bland and dry as any I've ever had. The cheese was barely melted, and the diced tomatoes inside were cold--as in "not cooked." After I finished what I could, my friend and I sat there and chatted a while, but I still had to get up and go inside AGAIN to ask for our check . As I mentioned, I've eaten there in the past and have always been pleased--so this experience came as a bit of a shock. I was not only disappointed in my meal but, considering the poor service, I was actually embarrassed to have suggested the place to my friend. I'm afraid I will be very reluctant to return to the Beverliz Cafe any time soon. read more

It was nice because it was not as busy and all the employees were very accommodating. They do serve breakfast all day and we both got just that. I've been eating here for years so this review is long overdue. If you live in or are visiting Beverly Hills this place is a must try and one of my absolute favorite spots in the city. The food has literally never disappointed, not even once. All of their food is homemade and fresh, you can tell the chef really puts in the work every time. Some of my favorites that I've been ordering over the years are the tuna press wrap, turkey press wrap, breakfast burrito, burger, strawberry chicken salad and their homemade ranch dressing which is good on everything. They also provide delivery if you're local and not the kind of delivery where you get a headache and pay extra money because you're going through an app. You can contact them directly and there's no middle man which I greatly appreciate nowadays. They've always been fast and the food always gets to me while it's still hot. Their staff provides excellent service and make you feel right at home every time. They always appear to be happy and full of energy which definitely makes the experience more pleasant. They've also always been very attentive and careful to accommodate all my dietary restrictions. This place is truly a gem of Beverly Hills and rarity considering there aren't many cute and casual cafes left in this area. The atmosphere is awesome and the food is too.
