From the moment I called to schedule an appointment to when I sat down in the chair I was put at ease. I saw Mary for the curly cut and it was so worth the $100! From the deep conditioning treatment to carving out the bulk; the effort put in was outstanding. I went back a little over a week later because I wanted more length off. I am an Early Childhood Educator and constantly bending and picking up children, therefore, I have a lot of kinks and knots in my neck, shoulders and back. My daughter gave me a gift certificate to Beyond Beauty and I chose to use it for me a ninety minute deep tissue massage. I explained to Colleen that I was having trouble with range of motion in my left arm. Colleen gave me the most productive deep tissue I have EVER gotten. I could tell that we were making a lot of progress by hearing clicks and feeling the size of knots get smaller. I do not get a lot of massages, and could feel that Colleens technique and abilities to get the muscle to release were wonderful. I now have more range of motion and it no longer pains me to open my car door. I just wish I could bottle her up and take her home. read more

I've been sampling different salons on the Cape for the last two years, and have yet to return to any ...not because of anything terrible, but none of them were up to the level of quality that I would expect from a $45-$55 wash/cut. So, when I called Beyond Beauty this morning, I was crossing my fingers that it would be an enjoyable experience. Luckily, they had a same-day appointment available with Ann/e. The salon is very charming, and everyone seemed very happy and calm although it was bustling with people. I was greeted with smiles from helpful people along the way, and I cannot say enough about Ann/e, who provided expert tips on how to handle/protect my wispy hair that is exposed to extreme sun/salt water on an almost daily basis. She cut 7 inches off and I couldn't be happier with the style, which she discussed with me every step of the appointment-- and, she didn't push products (although I still bought some) A well-deserved 5 stars to Beyond Beauty for doing justice to my hair (and hard-earned money!) read more

If you need a eye brow and lip wax DO NOT SEE JILL! I went in with two eyebrows and left with one and a half eye brows. She started with my right brow and that looks awful: she ruined my perfect arch and then she tore off part of my left brow... After she did it she didn't even tell me.... In fact she didn't say anything at all and just handed me the mirror. I asked were is my eye brow and she said I'm so sorry I didn't put wax there. I don't know what happened! I did not pay for my service that day... But worst experience of my life! The worst part is I went in right before my delivery date to have my son and now all my first photos of my family will be mommy with one and a half eyebrows!!! read more

I give this spa 2 stars because the staff was wonderful but the services were not. I received a gift certificate for a spa day and also brought my mother. Both of us received nail services which were the worst I have ever had. My pedicure was uneven and chunky and never completely dried till later in the day. My Shellac mani completely peeled off in less then 2 days. We also had massages and facials which I would not go back for. I emailed the salon a week ago and have not heard back. read more

Brought my son for back to school haircut told him they know how to cut hair nothing like procuts. I go there for facials and hair and it is fine. But when I saw someone new approach I was nervous and it turned out I was right. My son had long hair he loved we wanted it trimmed. She razor cut the whole thing and when it was dry I couldn't believe how short it was but also uneven we had to fix it ourselves. It was HORRIBLE she had know idea what she was doing. Got a spray tan here for a wedding I'm in. I get spray tanned all the time back home in California and I could tell right when she started it wasnt going to come out good. I woke up streaky and completely orange. Called to tell them and to see if there is anything they'd recommend I do and they just told me to exfoliate. Didn't even say sorry. read more

I was part of a bridal party in Sandwich, MA, one of 8 bridesmaids using their services. Though my makeup turned out fine, I did feel like it was way overpriced for what was done. The reason for the 1-star is how much the coordinator annoyed and stressed the bride out. The bride is such a chill person and hadn't been stressed throughout the entire wedding planning process (don't know how she did it!), until it came to the coordinator that would not leave her alone. She was constantly texting her weeks and days before the wedding. Thank God the bride's sister took over a few days before the wedding. Furthermore, the stylist who was doing the bride's hair was not only annoying (she talked way too much, inserted herself in conversations, and thought she was so funny), but she had an attitude with the bride. And only because the bride told her she wasn't really feeling where her hairstyle was heading (an uneven twist on one side of her head.) Not cool. And the end result... well, good thing the bride was already so naturally gorgeous. All she did was pull one side of her hair back and put a pretty pin in it. read more

I have gone a few times for a cut and color. Always seem someone different. Last time I went I had my hair dyed a red color and it came out amazing. Natural looking and not like it came of a box or too fire engine colored. I always get compliments on my hair after going. I recommend them whenever I can. read more

I moved to the Cape a few months ago and desperately needed a new salon. I am very picky with my hair, and usually never want to try new salons. I booked a color and cut with Michelle. I walked into the salon and was pleasantly greeted and welcomed by the staff. The salon was very organized and clean. Everyone was friendly and helpful, great customer service!!! I've been here a couple of times and had okay experiences, but the last time I went was very different. I had my hair done and it took 3.5hours and the women continuously asked me about my last name and would not stop asking me questions regarding my personal life. It was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I called and complained but after the call yet another family member of mine had the same experience and was horrified. I will never be going back here again and neither will anyone I know. Also I asked the women for a light color on my spray tan and she was in a rush and did way too much. read more

I had had a facial by Renata a month or so ago and I was really impressed with the service. She was knowledgeable, did lots of extractions, exfoliation, etc. So I scheduled another facial with her. When I got there, it wasn't Renata, and no one had called me to ask if it's ok if I have a different person (not ok). Now, I've had dozens facials, and I expect to with walk out of a facial with some oil on my hair, but this woman had rubbed ALL the products into my hair, as if my hair was part of my face. My hair was drenched. She spent a lot of time rubbing my face in ways that just were not enjoyable. I wanted to run out of the room. I had to go straight home afterwards and wash wash my hair. I suggest the manager should receive all services from their employees before they give them clients. When leaving, I asked about Renata. They said she didn't work there anymore. Just went here for their spa sampler package. Every single staff was wonderful, attentive, and skilled in their trade. For $100 the offer includes: 30min back massage, 30 minute facial, wash and blow dry, mani/pedi, and makeup. It took a whopping 3 and a half hours of pampering, primping, and being polished. Their products were top line, and there were no "sales pitch" for them either. Simply good service that matters is what Beyond Beauty seems all about. I was a bridesmaid in my now sister in laws wedding. We had hair and makeup come to the house, my mom had to provide lots of supplies I feel should be provided by the stylists such as mirrors, extension cords and chairs. My poor mom was running around the house when your team arrived frantically searching for extension cords this added extra stress to the day. We were not fans of the coordinator she was disorganized and caused unneeded stress to the bride. The bride's sister had to take over communication with the coordinator because it was too stressful. The coordinator through out the time leading up to the wedding was annoying the bride with silly hair questions and not getting a schedule together. The payment process was handled very poorly too. I was a bride myself in 2012 and Beyond Beauty in Mashpee did my bridal party's hair and makeup and we all loved our hair, makeup and experience. For the money I spent for my hair and makeup for my sister in laws wedding I was not very happy. My hair and makeup looked ok but not worth all the money I had to spend. The coordinator made the wedding morning tense and not a relaxing experience. My mom and me tipped and then were asked to get the other ladies to tip. Nobody should be forced to tip if they are not happy with the service. read more

I had a gift certificate to this place that I hung on for over a year because of my busy schedule and my kiddos sporting events it's hard to force myself to take any "me time" although I desperately need it. My mother finally called and booked massages and mini pedicures and said "We're going". I was so excited as we made the hour drive down! The place was beautiful inside and the massage rooms were awesome. The massage was so so, but I was upset that while my mother was given the option of deep tissue or regular while I was not. I would have much preferred the deep tissue massage as I suffer from excruciating shoulder and neck pain. The. We were onto he mini massages. OH MY GOD horrible. I can not wait to go to my normal place and get them redone. They were cut HORRIBLY (something I am always afraid of) and when the woman tried to do the French manicure I asked for they were so horrible I had to pick a color instead. I never put color on my toes but thought I'd try it anyway... The paint job was so horrible I couldn't even look at it! Thank god this was a gift certificate. I will never come back here again! I submitted an appointment request online and didn't hear back. I guess that should have been my first indication. I called and booked two 60 minute Beyond Beauty Facials, one for me, one for my mom. The appointments were for 12:45. I was called into the room at 12:50, got undressed and by the time Katelyn started it was probably 12:55. She used very light pressure, did about 4 extractions, weak massage and then says "you're all set." I thought the time flew by so I looked at my watch and it was 1:32. Not exactly an hour. I went out and paid, full price $75. I looked at the brochure before leaving and sure enough it says 60 minutes. I said to the girl at the desk that I booked a 60 minute massage and it was over in half the time. She said she'd check with Katelyn. She comes back and says "well, we have a special going on, 25 minutes for $50 so we could just credit you." She gives me back $25, no apology, and some line like "her schedule is all out of whack today." Well, that's not my problem. The esthetician should have confirmed with her client. And if you thought I was booking the special, why did you charge my full price? read more

i am very disappointed with this salon. i am not a person that often goes to salons, i maybe go once a year, and if i do, it's because someone's given me a gift card. i'd been to beyond beauty in years past but rarely see the same stylist. i'd noticed on beyond beauty's facebook page that they were offering a "$50 SUNBURST SPECIAL". i sent a facebook message to the salon, specifying that i was interested in the special. they responded that the special was available with certain stylists, and suggested that i text a number that they'd provided to set up an appointment. i texted, again specifying that i was interested in the special. they responded and confirmed my appointment. i went to my appointment this past thursday and upon checking in with the receptionist, i again mentioned the special. she confirmed and i began my hair treatment. when everything was said and done, the stylist said that he'd performed a full cut and color and i was charged $120!!! embarrassed and not wanting to make a scene, i paid it with my credit card and shamefully tipped the stylist with the only cash that i'd brought (which reflected a $50 service, not a $120 one, so i was embarrassed by that too) - i've since sent facebook messages and text messages to the salon hoping that something can be done. i would love to have a portion of my payment credited back to me, or even just have them offer me a gift card for a future service. i don't think i am being unreasonable, i made it very clear, several times (twice in writing!!) what i wanted and that is not what i received. no one has responded to me. OH! and i already have some grey's poking thru and it hasn't even been a week since my appointment. i'm unhappy with the service and disappointed with my hair. read more
