On this visit, we ordered the Tawa Okra Fry, and it was easily my favorite dish. If you're an okra fan, this one is a must-try. The smaller okra pieces gave it a nice crunch, and it was packed with flavor. We also had the Aloo Gobi, which was excellent. The potatoes and cauliflower were cooked perfectly and coated in a delicious gravy that paired wonderfully with rice and garlic naan. Another standout was the Chicken Tikka Kabab. It was juicy, flavorful, and simply delicious. The service was top-notch, with the staff being friendly and helpful in guiding us through the menu. The restaurant was also very clean and welcoming. Everest is truly a hidden gem in North San Jose and a place I'll definitely be returning to.

I normally avoid Indian food as they tend to be too strong in flavor and too spicy, but this Gobi coconut is not spicy at all and it's some kind of coated cauliflower with a creamy coconuty sauce, I ate a whole plate of it. On the other hand, I don't like their Fish 65 as each piece is so small that I couldn't even believe fish meat can be this small size.

Service was prompt. Ambiance was nice. Pachmichi Paneer Pulaav (medium) - it was so flavorful and even medium spicy was perfect spicy. So far my experiences here have been pleasant, with the service being friendly and there being an ample amount of seating inside. I've noticed that the food tends to run on the spicier side (we ordered mild and yet it was still spicy, though perhaps just a sign of my spice tolerance failing me), but outside of that it tasted good. Panni Puri - This was my first time trying a panni puri and it tasted really good, even though I found it spicy (we ordered mild). I especially loved the texture of the onions inside of it. I ate it earlier on which made it harder for me to tell which other dishes were spicy and which ones weren't at the time as a result of its lingering spiciness, but I would happily order it again given the opportunity. Punugulu/Veggie Puff/Vegetarian Fried Rice - All three of these were good and I do recall them being non-spicy. The veggie puff was especially refreshing after trying to get through the paneer pulav Mirchi Bajji - These were also good and surprisingly not as spicy as I thought they would be, considering that they have chili peppers in them Naan with House Vegetable Curry - The vegetable curry was really spicy and it took me a while to realize this because I was still dealing with the effects of the panni puri while I was eating this. Had I not brought some of it home as leftovers I probably would've thought that this was non-spicy Paneer Pulav - Much spicier than expected. I needed to use some of the curd to tone it down but it was still good. The texture of the rice was good too The cold drinks on their menu come in a reusable bottle and from their display I can assume that their desserts are the same way. So far the ones I've tried (mango lassi, rose milk, and chikoo shake) have been refreshing. There's also a falooda section that closes at around 8:00 pm, but I haven't been able to try them yet as both times we got there past eight. Overall a pleasant experience in spite of the spiciness. Perhaps one day I'll be strong enough to handle it without the curd, but it'll probably take a couple of additional visits before I can.

If you are looking for Indian wedding catering in the Bay Area, Amber India should absolutely be at…read morethe top of your list. They catered our wedding of 260 guests, and Tarun and his team completely blew everyone away. We had a VERY hard-to-please crowd, including a lot of guests coming from India who work in hospitality and restaurants themselves, and people could not stop talking about the food. I searched high and low for a Bay Area Indian wedding caterer and honestly found a lot of the options disappointing. Amber was completely different. The food was incredibly flavorful, beautifully cooked, and actually presented well too, which can be hard to pull off at this scale. They are also a full service caterer, which makes managing the event much easier. We used Amber for all of our wedding events, and Tarun made sure every menu felt different and interesting rather than just repeating the standard butter chicken-type dishes. We had paneer tacos, Indo-Chinese served in Chinese takeout boxes, which was SUCH a cute touch, pani puri shooters that made them super easy to eat, and an incredible rasmalai tres leches for dessert, among many other items. The value is also amazing. For some of our pre-wedding events, we did their roughly $40/person package with four items plus dessert. I was worried it might not be enough food, but it was more than plentiful. Tarun himself is an absolute gem. He is kind, accommodating, creative, and goes above and beyond to make the event feel special. You can tell he genuinely cares. We did not want a standard buffet as we wanted the event to feel more elevated, and he did a great job of accomodating our request for family style, as well as serving apps + mains at two different venues in the South Bay ~20-30 min from each other. Our guests are still talking about the food. Amber India truly helped make our wedding weekend, and I would recommend them without hesitation. Easily one of the best decisions we made.

Buffet available all seven days, weekend buffet is slightly more expensive but has a larger spread. **AMBIANCE: large floor to ceiling height but the place is small, it felt real cramped during the weekend buffet when it was packed with people. Their service area is also tight. They had to put two dishes in each chaffing dish to optimize. Weekday buffet was not as packed and i infact saw a huge corporate team gathered for lunch. ***FOOD: doesn't feel like a luxurious buffet due to lack of space but they did have a decent spread with 3-4 veggie appetizers, 3-4 non veg appetizers, 4-5 desserts, Pani puri, fresh table side naan (which was done very beautifully), two varieties of biryani, fried rice, indo Chinese items, 3-4 varieties of non veg curries, 3-4 varieties of veg curries, salad, drinks etc. As with any buffet there will be hits and misses, I for one enjoyed the varied options and the unlimited Pani puri though it was on the sweeter side. The weekend buffet was definitely worth the price tag of $23, the weekday buffet on the other day felt expensive at $20 as the number of items were significantly lower.

Kulcha itself was very good, crispy and filled with masala. 5 star Chili Chicken- Quality of chicken matters the most. It was very good. 5 star Tandoori Chicken- Quality was great. Juicy, need to eat there only. 5 Star Chap- Need to eat right away. Don't let it wait otherwise it will loose its texture and taste. Taste when it is hot, good mixture of spices and chutneys with it. Onion enhances the flavor of it. 5 Star Roomali Roti- probably the best Roomali roti. Does not matter where they make it. They put butter on it. It does not get chewy or gets dry. 5 Star Sunny and Love they work hard to make it happen. Kudos to them. Noticed, while I was dining, two people came in and expected them to deliver right away and they left. Guys, give them a break, Truck opens at 4:00pm they have to set up the Tandoor it takes time atleast 45 min. To warm up. You can't expect to serve tandoori items right away.

It's a bit dark and warm in the restaurant... You order at the kiosk and wait for your food to be made from the kitchen. A wow factor was seeing the pani puri made and filled with toppings live. It took about 10-15 minutes for our order to be complete! We ordered 2 appetizers and 3 entrees for 3 people to share family style. Apps: - Rice: can't go wrong with carbs - Garlic Naan: big 4 pieces that are fluffy, crispy, and lots of flavor Entrees: - Butter Chicken: a classic staple and lots of chicken that was tender, juicy, and so much saucy flavor - Dahi Puri: a good portion of 8 and it was so filling because of the potato and just a flavor bomb that explodes with so much complex flavor of sweet, creamy, crunchy, and more! Best to eat this first before it gets too soggy. - Achari Chicken Tikka: lots of meat here as well, with more spicy flavors in this dish - Daal Makhani: hearty lentil soup! Great experience! Since you're also getting roti or naan, this is backwards to me. Unless you're a carbatarian, get the regular entree and rice and bread on the side to balance the ratios. They don't have enough vegetarian items that we want to eat from them again, now that we've tried them a couple times we'll move on to other local Indian restaurants. We recommend: -Malai Kofta: good sauce flavor, though neither the sauce or the kofta were what we're used to from previous favorite Indian restaurants. The kofta are very fluffy but bland + Punjabi Kadhi Pakoda: good sauce flavor, and the spinach pakoras were good. This sauce has a kick, so it's also good with raita. + Paneer lababdar: good flavor of sauce and cheese -Aaloo tikki chaat: good, I liked the mix of flavors. +naan was good, nice chewy texture and large size We don't recommend: -Bhalla Papdi Chaat: I liked this but my husband didn't. I mainly liked the sauces and the papadi (the crackers I got did not look homemade), so I would try their other appetizers instead. FYI, it doesn't come with pomegranate seeds like in the photograph. -Tandoori Broccoli: huge disappointment, inedible. They either used super old bitter broccoli, or massacred the flavors. It had to go straight into the compost. Neither of us could stand it. Looks like they took it off the menu. -Palak pakodi chaat: so salty it burned my tongue. Saltiest pakora I've ever had. -Amritsari chole: I wasn't a fan of the flavor of this and would have tossed it but my husband thought it was ok and was willing to eat it.
