Literally writing this review as soon as we left the restaurant. This was by far our worst dining experience in LA (if people have an idea of what bad LA service is, this would be it - but it's sad coz we've mainly only had good service since moving here) I'm gonna pull the race or age card here, because we were definitely discriminated against and were the only other Asian (I saw another family on the other side of the patio) & young table at the time. The service we received was EXTREMELY cold. Maybe the server didn't think we would spend or order as much and felt we weren't worth his time. From being told we only had less than an hour and a half to eat by the hostess, to being tucked away in an awkward big table in the corner meant for a party of 6 (we were only a party of 3 with 2 dogs - there were plenty of tables open), to not even receiving a "hello" but a getting a very aggressive "WATCH YOUR DOG" followed by a glare by our rude busser - mind you, my dog wasn't even in a walkway, he was tucked away on the other end of the table and only went up to the busser to sniff him coz you know.. dogs do that? My dog has never jumped on or bit anyone (if he was aggressive, why would we take him out?) - this was the VERY FIRST interaction& impression we received from your staff before even being offered water or anything to drink, to being told by our server Benedict F. that we only had 10 mins to order from the breakfast menu (at 11:12) but not coming back until 11:29 to take our order (breakfast ends at 11:30), and not getting water unless we asked for more (first time around we went to 10 mins w.o water and 2nd time was 15 mins). He was extremely chatty with the older couple behind us but with us he was very short and cold. The only questions we received throughout service was "what do you want" and "are you done." I pulled the discrimination card because we noticed the service towards everyone else around us was different. We saw a party of 4 who got seated at an actual 4 top table (an hour after we got sat - there were tables empty for over an hour) WITH A BIG DOG who didn't receive the same type of service we got. I would say we like to dine out for brunch/lunch often and would spend a decent amount dining out for brunch. Yesterday brunch we went to Dialog and had such an amazing time and received great service there. So much so that we wanted to go back today to take our family who's in town but out of convenience for where he was staying, we chose Bianca and boy, we regret it so much - I would have had a better experience at Pasta Sisters down the street. We spent $127 (before tip) and ordered 5 items (soup, pancake, pasta, salad & a sandwich) for 3 people - I would say most would argue that's on the higher end for brunch. The sad thing is, food was actually decent even though it was expensive. I would have wanted to come back for their cakes/pastries. At Dialog we spent so much less and the food AND service was amazing. We just felt so uncomfortable and unwanted throughout our dining period here. Safe to say we will never be returning. read more

I made a reservation and specifically requested an outdoor table and a high chair because I have a baby. The hostess confirmed and sent me an email confirmation. Based on her confirmation, I drove half an hour to this restaurant. I arrive to the restaurant and the hostess notifies me that she gave the high chair away. She acknowledged that she had confirmed a high chair and failed to hold it for me. My child cried the entire dinner and I couldn't eat because I had to hold him the entire time. HORRIBLE SERVICE. We came in on Valentine's Day but didn't plan to pay for the vday meal plan. When we saw the menu, it was already set to a Valentine's Day menu so even if we didn't want the meal plan, we still only had very limited options. We thought we were slick LOL. We both had to choose a plate each for ourselves from each course (appetizer, entree, main entree and dessert). Normally we like to order one of each course and share, but this was fine, too. Drinks were very limited because they only provided wine selections for vday. I would've loved a beer! Yes, I know it's not the optimal choice but it would have been nice to have! The raspberry graham looking dessert was also a favorite (forgot the name). The fruity dessert reminded me of this Vietnamese fruit cake that I love. The soufflé looked promising and it came with a little cute spout to pour the flavoring onto the pastry, but it had too strong of an alcoholic taste for me. The beef tartar was a little thick for my liking. It was also not sliced individually? We found out the hard way when we butchered the aesthetics of it ahaha. The sashimi appetizer was delicious--definitely enjoyed the sauce and the peanuts that were used! Had a bit of a kick and tang! Parking wasn't too bad--there is a lot right in between the building after you pass the restaurant a little. They don't validate parking unfortunately but the rate isn't too bad. Eggs were lovely and runny, though, and the toast (not English muffin) were tender and rich with olive oil. I am in town alone without my family so I came here to sit down and eat and enjoy my birthday but it was absolutely awful. I tried to order to-go so that I would have some lunch during the week but the waiter wouldn't place my order because they were "too busy for stuff like that" on this particular day. I then asked him if I could order dessert and he wouldn't even give me the opportunity to do that. He wouldn't even let me order SOUP TO GO! I drive 45 minutes away to go to Culver City to patronize this restaurant and this is how I was treated! Once he saw that I received my appetizer, he just started ignoring me from that point on. He wouldn't let me ask for anything else. I had to catch him in order to get the check! Never have I ever been treated in such a way at a restaurant. After I finished eating, I went to the bar so that I could try to order a dessert since it was my birthday after all. I'm done with this establishment. They bake their bread fresh in-house so I'm keen on trying the bread basket next time. The drink was good but the garnish was a lemon peel sunk to the bottom of my glass which felt like an afterthought. The chicken Parmesan was HUGE. It took up my whole plate. I came here with my family--yes, a big group. Three adults, and several young kids. We know that's not an easy table to seat, and we were respectful and patient. Another group of ladies asked to move, which is fine because you're allowed to sit away and have a child free life, but not a child free world. But the energy from the staff and management? I guess I would give it a 3 was the quality and quantity of the food wasn't very impressive or noteworthy. Also the seating inside did not feel very comfortable and reminded me of a breakfast diner. I'm sure there are some regular patrons who would disagree with me, as I did notice several tables happily sharing bottles of wine, food and conversation. It was just not my vibe. This a French/Italian restaurant in downtown Culver City that has a cute and casual ambience. I came here on a Thursday night for dinner with a friend without a reservation and got seated immediately. We shared the Caprese salad for an appetizer. I was expecting a traditional Caprese with lots of basil leaves and cherry tomatoes but then a plate came out with only a few cherry tomatoes and a large piece of mozzarella with a crusty piece of bread. This wasn't bad but I definitely prefer a more traditional Caprese. For my main, I had the cacciuco, a seafood stew in a tomato-based sauce. This was tasty, with fresh seafood in a hearty and flavorsome sauce. This is one of their specialities, and I'd recommend for any seafood lovers. Great location at the east end of Washington Blvd in Culver City. There's a parking structure in back parking is expensive if you stay longer than two hours it'll cost you 10 bucks. I had a reservation for Sunday afternoon lunch and we were seated immediately indoors. We were greeted warmly by the friendly staff. The restaurant was very busy when we first arrived with small groups and mostly families. The outdoor patio and the indoor dining area were full. The food quality was very very good. I did also have the tomato bisque that I didn't get a picture of. The only issue I had was that the food came out a little more slowly than I expected even when the restaurant died down. But I have to say that the food quality more than made up for a little longer wait. I'm sure it was because the kitchen was recovering from the morning. Breakfast rush. We headed over to the bakery counter after our meal so we could take a few goodies home to go. Everything was so beautiful and well presented. It was hard to decide, but I went for the Keylime pie and a slice of the olive oil cake. Both were sublime , and tasted even better than they looked. I opted for the outdoor patio seating and it was a very cute area gorgeous brunch. Went to Bianca Bakery at Platform in Culver City this morning. Had tea and a piece of cake. Took a while to figure out how to open the package the tea bag was in. Couldn't tear it open or pierce it with the fork or the knife. Finally saw a little black mark on the bottom of the package the tea bag was in. This was where you opened the package. The tea bag came with an itsy bitsy teeny weeny tin teapot that was only two-thirds full with hot water. This made one and one thirds cups of tea. After a while got the waiter's attention and asked for more hot water. Once again the leprechaun size tin teapot was only filled two-thirds full. The system for ordering was rather complex, Came in by the bakery case and was looking at the baked goods. Since I said I wanted to sit at a table was told to order at the table. Had to go out another door and go outside to find the person who could seat me at a table. Although I had been told at the bakery case the waiter knew what was in it, turned out he didn't and I had to go back to the bakery case to decide what to order from the waiter. For some reason this slowed down what should have been a fairly simple process of getting tea and cake. Was lucky I was by myself. Had I been with anyone I wanted to speak with would have to have yelled, as everyone else was doing, to be heard. Every surface in Bianca is designed to amplify and spread noise. There is nothing at all to absorb or deaden noise. Ended up with a headache and couldn't get as much tea as I usually have elsewhere since Bianca uses leprechaun size tin tea pots two-thirds full of hot water and getting more hot water isn't easy.
