We came in on Valentine's Day but didn't plan to pay for the vday meal plan. When we saw the menu, it was already set to a Valentine's Day menu so even if we didn't want the meal plan, we still only had very limited options. We thought we were slick LOL. We both had to choose a plate each for ourselves from each course (appetizer, entree, main entree and dessert). Normally we like to order one of each course and share, but this was fine, too. Drinks were very limited because they only provided wine selections for vday. I would've loved a beer! Yes, I know it's not the optimal choice but it would have been nice to have! Anyway although we made the reservation, we still had to wait for a table to clear--good thing we weren't starving otherwise we would've been a little hangry standing there. Our server was friendly and was from France! Super nice person who was teaching me how to say some of the wine names haha. He checked in with us here and there. One of the kitchen staff came out and gave us some empanadas on the house, which was really nice! Definitely gave us more reason to come back to try their other dishes. The food was good overall. The portions were decently sized with the amount of food we ordered. I very much enjoyed the fillet plate because it was tender and the sauce was complementary to the dish. The raspberry graham looking dessert was also a favorite (forgot the name). The fruity dessert reminded me of this Vietnamese fruit cake that I love. The soufflé looked promising and it came with a little cute spout to pour the flavoring onto the pastry, but it had too strong of an alcoholic taste for me. The beef tartar was a little thick for my liking. It was also not sliced individually? We found out the hard way when we butchered the aesthetics of it ahaha. The sashimi appetizer was delicious--definitely enjoyed the sauce and the peanuts that were used! Had a bit of a kick and tang! Came here for Easter brunch, and we were lucky we arrived before 11, before the weekend lunch rush. We were promptly seated outside, and we ordered ricotta pancakes and Eggs benedict with prosciutto. The latter came with thicker prosciutto than expected, almost like turkey slices-- not bad, but not what I was expecting. Eggs were lovely and runny, though, and the toast (not English muffin) were tender and rich with olive oil. The ricotta pancakes were a highlight: rich and heavy, and the fresh berries added a balanced acidity to it all. Service was quick and attentive, and we got a pastry afterwards to-go. Wow, the pastries are excellent here. The ham and cheese croissant was one of the best I had. Nice cheese on top. The other pastries we had were awesome too. Loved this place the first time, I can back with a group. They have a wonderful heated outdoor patio. Their breakfast menu is small, but good. I took a star off because my frittata dish which I so loved the first time was so bland. They tried giving me salt, pepper, Parmesan and it did not work. It was also quite watery in the middle. Service was spectacular. Their people really know how to take care of their customers. My coffee cup was full, water refilled. I came here with my family--yes, a big group. Three adults, and several young kids. We know that's not an easy table to seat, and we were respectful and patient. Another group of ladies asked to move, which is fine because you're allowed to sit away and have a child free life, but not a child free world. But the energy from the staff and management? I wish I could say it matched. The kids were not excessively loud. They were being kids. But from the second we sat down, we could feel the judgment. Constant staring, whispering, side-eyes from the staff--and one woman who seemed like a manager or owner actually rolled her eyes when my daughter got upset and started crying. We weren't making a scene. We weren't being rude. We were just a big family trying to enjoy a meal. Instead, we were made to feel like a burden. Like how dare we come in with our children. Like the audacity of mothers and nannies feeding kids in a restaurant. The whole experience was so uncomfortable, we couldn't even enjoy the food--which, frankly, was not worth the humiliation. Located in the shopping center, Platform, in Culver City so you have the choice of walking around and doing some shopping if that's your thing. Service was good overall but they took forever to make our Americanos. We had to keep reminding them about it which was a bit annoying. Also, the staff (servers, host, busers) kept trying to clear our plates in such a hurry, sometimes without even asking if we were finished! Thought that was a bit rude. You can park in the lot next to the restaurant. I paid $10 for being there around 2 hours, i think (decided to check out some shops). No validation provided. Street parking in neighboring areas is possible, but a challenge. What stood out was their weekend special breakfast menu which goes from 9 am - 11:30 am for the early risers. They bake their bread fresh in-house so I'm keen on trying the bread basket next time. The lunch menu is available starting from 11 am so you can order from both menus if you time your visit accordingly. I made reservations for 11 am so we could do just that! Lunch Menu *Baby Kale Nicoise Salad - I love a good nicoise salad, especially when done correctly. The nicoise salad at Bianca is a classic and consists of seared ahi tuna, green beans, olives, a soft-boiled egg, and a classic vinaigrette. *Penne a la Pesto - another classic, solid dish. The food is made to order so everything is as fresh as it can get! We started with a focaccia appetizer and it was thick, fluffy, soft, and almost melted at the bite. I had a Lychee Martini. The drink was good but the garnish was a lemon peel sunk to the bottom of my glass which felt like an afterthought. The chicken Parmesan was HUGE. It took up my whole plate. The filet was thin, crispy, nicely seasoned with flavorful marinara and mozzarella that topped it. The sides were crispy potatoes, green beans, broccoli, and cauliflower. Bianca was lovely overall don't get me wrong. We got comped the key lime pie when we were provided dirty plates. I guess I would give it a 3 was the quality and quantity of the food wasn't very impressive or noteworthy. Also the seating inside did not feel very comfortable and reminded me of a breakfast diner. I'm sure there are some regular patrons who would disagree with me, as I did notice several tables happily sharing bottles of wine, food and conversation. It was just not my vibe. I came here on a Thursday night for dinner with a friend without a reservation and got seated immediately. We shared the Caprese salad for an appetizer. I was expecting a traditional Caprese with lots of basil leaves and cherry tomatoes but then a plate came out with only a few cherry tomatoes and a large piece of mozzarella with a crusty piece of bread. This wasn't bad but I definitely prefer a more traditional Caprese. For my main, I had the cacciuco, a seafood stew in a tomato-based sauce. This was tasty, with fresh seafood in a hearty and flavorsome sauce. This is one of their specialities, and I'd recommend for any seafood lovers. The restaurant was very busy when we first arrived with small groups and mostly families. The outdoor patio and the indoor dining area were full. The food quality was very very good. I did also have the tomato bisque that I didn't get a picture of. The only issue I had was that the food came out a little more slowly than I expected even when the restaurant died down. But I have to say that the food quality more than made up for a little longer wait. I'm sure it was because the kitchen was recovering from the morning. Breakfast rush. We headed over to the bakery counter after our meal so we could take a few goodies home to go. Everything was so beautiful and well presented. It was hard to decide, but I went for the Keylime pie and a slice of the olive oil cake. Both were sublime , and tasted even better than they looked. Came to Bianca for brunch with a friend. I made a reservation on a Saturday but probably didn't need to since there was a lot of seating at the time. I opted for the outdoor patio seating and it was a very cute area gorgeous brunch. The staff were very attentive, but I felt like they were constantly trying to take away our plates even when we were not done yet. Went to Bianca Bakery at Platform in Culver City this morning. Had tea and a piece of cake. Took a while to figure out how to open the package the tea bag was in. Couldn't tear it open or pierce it with the fork or the knife. Finally saw a little black mark on the bottom of the package the tea bag was in. This was where you opened the package. The tea bag came with an itsy bitsy teeny weeny tin teapot that was only two-thirds full with hot water. This made one and one thirds cups of tea. After a while got the waiter's attention and asked for more hot water. Once again the leprechaun size tin teapot was only filled two-thirds full. The system for ordering was rather complex, Came in by the bakery case and was looking at the baked goods. Since I said I wanted to sit at a table was told to order at the table. Had to go out another door and go outside to find the person who could seat me at a table. Although I had been told at the bakery case the waiter knew what was in it, turned out he didn't and I had to go back to the bakery case to decide what to order from the waiter. For some reason this slowed down what should have been a fairly simple process of getting tea and cake. Was lucky I was by myself. Had I been with anyone I wanted to speak with would have to have yelled, as everyone else was doing, to be heard. Every surface in Bianca is designed to amplify and spread noise. There is nothing at all to absorb or deaden noise. Ended up with a headache and couldn't get as much tea as I usually have elsewhere since Bianca uses leprechaun size tin tea pots two-thirds full of hot water and getting more hot water isn't easy. Bianca is probably ok if you are not ordering either tea or baked goods and sitting at a table. Maybe it's quieter on a weekday morning than on a Saturday morning. read more

I have a service animal with proper identification. As I approached the outdoor podium to see what direction was needed to order to go I was met with DISCRIMINATION big time. I watched the hostess go inside the restaurant and have a lengthy conversation with what appeared to be some one in charge. The problem was my Service Animal!!!! Period..... The male manager looked at me as if I just laid in poop? Not friendly no empathy for my my disability no compassion... This is unbelievable. The female receptionist had the same stand off energy..... Unfortunately we are all not the same. Some of us are born with disabilities that require us to have Service Animals you do have outdoor seating??? Discrimination at its finest.... We were seated outside in the patio area and it was nice and cool despite it being a sunny day. Bread here isn't free but also very delicious.
