I visited Bicycle Warehouse a couple of days ago while I was in town. Jeff was extremely helpful. He let me test ride a Giant bike that I've had a hard time finding anywhere in the Phoenix area where I live. He gave me some really good advice on sizing and spent a lot of time trying to find a source for the higher end models that I was interested in. Had a great experience w this shop. I was having trouble changing my gravel bike tires and kept accidentally pinching my tube during install (yes I'm embarrassed). I brought it in and they swapped out my tubes and put the new tires on for me and only charged me for the tubes. I purchased two Adventon Adventure 2 e bikes ten months ago. The staff I interacted with at that time were amazing. I went in three different times before purchasing the bikes. Each time the staff went out of their way to help me and and answered all of my questions. One evening Ryan probably stayed 1/2 hour past closing time to assist me. Two months ago I brought me bike in for the free tune-up and to replace my front brake pads. Again the service was outstanding. I got my bike and I was impressed. In addition to the tune-up, my bike was thoroughly cleaned including the the chain. Finally two nights ago I brought in my bike to fix a rear flat. Don the mechanic was very personable and took the time to show me how to do it. When riding my bike home in the dark I got another rear flat two miles from the shop. I rode over some class. It was 20 minutes before closing when I called them. They said they would wait for me to bring the bike to fix it. After about 10 minutes of pushing my bike, a truck honks and pulls over in front of me as I am walking back to the store. It was Don the mechanic. He loaded my bike onto his truck, drove me back to the store, fixed the flat, and didn't charge me. It was at least 20 minutes after closing time when I finally got on my bike and road home. I was in for a very long walk home if Don had not gone out of the way to help me. These guys are the best! read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM ONLINE. Purchased $600 worth of mountain bike from them that came with a damaged crank. They refused to send out a replacement and when I tried to return it the shipping charge was more than $100. It takes forever for them to respond on their online chats, had to wait 1-2 hours multiple times for the same issue and they keep saying they will get back to you. Their online customer care director Kathleen was not helpful at all and tried to blame us for the faulty parts that was shipped despite showing proof of how we followed the instructions step by step per their direction on their website. They tried to resell the faulty parts to us instead of helping out and retain a satisfied customer. Their return policy is a SCAM, they mention free return shipping but they deny every scenario where they are at fault and have the customers end up paying out of their pockets! Totally disappointed. Not buying from these scammers again. They kept on insisting the product got damaged during installation which is clearly not the case unless the product parts being shipped was faulty. I tried being patient and reasonable for a week waiting for them to properly respond and asked just for the part which was not working from the beginning but they didn't have a helpful attitude. Their customer service was TRASH. They kept responding "take it or leave it attitude ". I headed to the PB location so excited about picking up my long awaited full suspension mountain bike but arrived 30 mins before opening (didn't realize they opened at 11am) and when attempting to enter the store, door was obviously locked . A couple minutes later Rene came to the door asking what I came shopping for and to my surprise he let me in. We are already off to great service so now everything else is just icing on the cake! We started off with the bike, he showed me the model I came for along with a few other models fully explaining the differences between them. I did not feel in way he was trying to upsell me just giving me the information needed to make an informed purchase. Giant Trans X 29er it is!!! Next we moved onto the pedals, grips and gear. He took the time to explain some of the differences and shared with me his preferences. Again, never did I feel obligated to go with any of his suggestions, just being as informative as he possibly can. After an hour in the store, I got everything I needed and bike was ready to go. What an absolutely great buying experience! I usually don't take the time to leave reviews because in many cases sales personal are doing what they are suppose to. Its only when I experience someone going above and beyond do I feel compelled to write a review. If you purchase a bike Online and want to receive it relatively soon, do NOT buy a bike from Bicycle Warehouse. They claim most orders leave their warehouse within 48 hours, but in my experience it was much longer. It took them eight days just to provide a shipping label. To their credit they answered all my emails in a timely manner, but their replies were nothing but excuses as to why they couldn't ship my order sooner. read more

Ordered a bicycle to get delivered to this Giant authorized retailer. My bike had been stolen and I needed another bike to get back on the road. The company had emailed me my bike had been delivered. I went to the store to pick up the bike, and before they even asked my name they told me my bike wasn't ready and I had to wait for an email from them. I left with a bad taste in my mouth and was not looking forward to returning. It was clear they weren't concerned with helping people getting on the road and enjoying everything owning a bicycle has to offer, rather with making money from sales. When I finally did go to pick up my bike, it was just handed over in the least friendly way possible. So much for buying a helmet or explaining how everything worked. Worst customer experience ever. Felt like I was doing something wrong by picking up my bike. Would not recommend anyone to use this store. I have been to many other stores in PB where the employees are happy to help no matter what. My friend also bought a bike from this store and had an issue and was questioned when he returned 2 days later if he bought it there. Just not nice people and not enjoyable. I bought my bike from these guys back in December and been trying to get it serviced since Covid. I understand the huge backlog of bikes they must be handling but... for the sake of good business you guys need to be friendlier. These guys were rude to the point the could careless that I had more questions than just servicing my bike. At one point the guy actually stopped talking mid sentence to help out slither employee. Get with the program and work on your customer service. I'm not upset it will take a month to get my bike serviced, I'm upset on how is a treated. And Covid has been around since March when we closed so I would hope by now management would figure out how to hire or train more employees to get bikes fixed faster than a month. read more

Hands down the best customer service I have received in a while!! I decided to try out bicycle warehouse instead of trek since they are locally owned. I placed an order for a bike rack for store pick up thinking it would be ready the next day, but after placing my order I received an email that my order would be ready in 3-5 days. Since we are leaving on a trip in 2 days, I needed the rack sooner. I called immediately and was told to cancel my order and to come in since they had one in stock. I was still given the online discount and the guys in the shop were super nice. I am new to mountain biking so I had lots of questions. * Business operating during pandemic "thank you" - Review #2 I only started coming here right after the quarantine happened. First to get a helmet. Ethan helped me pick out a helmet and a comfy bike seat for my old bike. I have A LOT of hair and finding a helmet wasn't easy until I came here. Ethan made it quick and easy for me and picked out a great helmet for me on the first try. I returned shortly after to get my bike seat installed. Ethan helped me get it on as well as installed the water bottle holder. The last time I visited I wanted to get a longer seat post but Richard explained to me that my problem was my bike was too small. I was devastated as I've had my bike since college (no that I think about for 10 years). I never realized it was small and it got the job done. Richard showed me some bikes that he recommended and graciously wrote all the info down so I could do some research of my own as I was unsure. Well sure enough I came back an hour later and bought myself a new bike!!! Ethan helped get by comfy seat, water bottle holder and new kickstand on my bike. I know nothing about bikes and have a tiny car. I always struggled putting my bike in my car. Ethan showed me how to take my front wheel on and off and went through everything I needed to know about properly putting it in my car. I'm absolutely in LOVE with my bike. It really makes a huge difference. I can't believe I was riding such a small bike for so long. Well now I know why I was so uncomfortable and struggled getting up the smallest hills. I went into the store twice. Once to get a feel for the bikes and prices. The second time to pick up the bike that I wanted if it was still there. I read some of the other reviews, people complaining about dismissive and rude staff. While I was there I could see how someone would say that. I try not to take things personally. I try to remember that these employees are working there all day, we're just a few faces that they see. Off my soapbox: When I went my second time there were 5 people inside it would have been nice to be told "we'll be with you guys shortly". There are 5 ppl allowed in at once. It should be 5 sets of people. Like a couple counts as one person. There was a cool young couple in front of me, they sparked up a conversation. When they went in I heard Kyle give his spiel on Hybrid bikes. I tried to pay close attention so he didn't have to say the same thing twice. The couple bought one of the bikes. The male had purchased a bike a week prior, and explained to me what I should be looking for. By the time Kyle came over to help I become a bike expert. Once Kyle started helping me, he is literally the kindest, most helpful person. I realized at that point. They weren't being rude to me when I came in earlier, but they're dealing with people trying to get Bikes all day. Bikes are a hot commodity right now. We talked less than 5 min before I decided I'd make the purchase. I can't even ride a bike yet because I just had a knee procedure. Glad I made the purchase though. I have a much better handle on how to actually care for a bike now. Kyle helped me check the fit on my bike, which is different on one leg, and no kick stand. Then he helped me load the bike. My bike is inexpensive because I generally ride along the boardwalk and bike paths and I don't want an expensive bike stolen. I've shopped at the P.B. store for years, spent a lot of money and the service was always good. Last week I went in looking for a derailleur hanger. This dude (Ethan) sounding reluctant asks me if I need help....I tell him "I'm looking for a derail"....And he cuts me off says there's too many of them he has to know exactly which one. I was like ok....I started to explain that I have a 2018 GIANT REIGN ....with a SRAM derailleur just like this one pointing to the floor model....he cut me off again and said I NEED to know exactly which one, looking down shaking his head.....So fast forward to today...I got off work early. I take my bike in. First person I see is him (Ethan) again....he has that same dull lazy-I-really-don't -want to help you attitude. But this time I brought in my bike. Again I start to explain he cuts me off and says - we aren't doing service... only emergency service. I said I just need the PART ordered - I don't need repair" . He said cant do it. I asked him "your a Giant Dealer right?" ......He was like "yea" ....with a yea so what attitude. "So you cant order me a part". He said "NOPE".....I walked out pissed. He was just to LAZY to look up the part. So I drove straight to the Chula Vista Bicycle Warehouse.....And guess what? A kid named Hector and another kid with long hair that was training him. Asked me what I needed, they looked at my bike with the SRAM setup and looked at the floor model with the same SRAM setup. Looked the part up on the computer and ordered my part. I have been looking for new mountain bikes for four months and Kyle from bicycle warehouse made the decision easy to buy from bicycle warehouse. He spent the majority of his afternoon answering all our questions. We had a lot of them. I could have purchased these bikes in Oceanside (home and there is a bicycle warehouse 5 miles from our house) but the customer service in San Diego was impressive so we drove the extra hour and a half to purchase from him. More importantly the knowledge Kyle displayed about every product we asked about was exceptional. We looked at every possible option available and with the knowledge we learned from Kyle, made an easy informed decision on the products we were interested in. YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BUY FROM BICYCLE WAREHOUSE ....that even if you are sent an item that doesn't match what you ordered, you are on the hook for it. I ordered a red bicycle and received a deep burgandy/almost brown bicycle (see photos). I tried to call the customer service phone number twice and was to receive a call back but never did. I emailed and got the response that this was the bicycle I ordered. I was informed that I could happily return the bike by paying well over $100 in shipping fees, a 20% restocking fee, and lose the $89 "handling/assembly" fee. I disagreed, sent photos, and said the bicycle had been misrepresented. They ultimately agreed that the color was listed differently in some places than others(?) so they would waive the restocking fee. So now I am out over $200 for shipping and losing the "handling/assembly" fee by returning this bicycle due to no fault of my own. They signed off on the email with "I am there for you" and I never received any more communication. read more

I ordered a pair of handlebars from their online store for a fairly decent price. Thats the only positive here. First they ordered the incorrect handle bars from the warehouse and shipped later than anticipated which again its a pandemic I understand shipping takes time. Then when they finally arrived they weren't the correct dimensions listed or pictured so I requested a return. The return took awhile with USPS to get there but once it did finally arrive they credited my account with about 30% of the actual price. Maybe the in store purchasing is better but the online orders I wouldnt trust. read more

I purchased 3 mountain bikes in 2 months because Kyle and rob made it so easy to do. It started with the 1st bike for my 10 year old son and then the 2nd bike for my 13 year old son. Now I needed a bike but covid made bikes hard to find. Kyle told me he would give me a call if he knew of any deliveries coming up, the next day he told me if I wanted to reserve a bike to come by and drop some money on it, so I did. The very next day he told me to come down and pick it up, so I did and it was perfect. All the suggestions on gear and education about the bikes we had purchased to getting us set up with tunes, helmets and other things but not unnecessary stuff, they have loyal customers for as long as they're open. read more
