Looks like a nice sports bar. Plenty of screens to watch all the games. Good amount of seating over two floors. They even have an outside deck area in the front overlooking the street. Our experience with the hostess was positive as our group of eight was looking for a place to eat and drink after the Knicks Championship parade. When we arrived were told they take walk ins but didn't have tables available as they were also busy with the FIFI World Cup. As we stood outside Googling other places close by she came out and said they could move some table groups around to seat us all, but they tables would no be next to each other. We politely declined, but were appreciative of the courtesy and looking out for us. I'll definitely check out this bar for football season because of that. read more

At the local Marriott and was recommended to go here. I came back to the hotel and explained how bad of a recommendation they made. Saturday night by myself at 9 pm and an absolutely useless male bartender couldn't find his way of pouring me more than a glass of water. He didn't follow up with anything else. I was going to get a glass of wine with the sandwich I ordered. However, after the water, I never interacted with him again. Bizarre, in a word. Sausage sandwich with fries was fine. But that prick of a bartender was not. I'm in this area of NYC every few months. Will never come back because of him. One of the few late night options that served food. It was our last night hurrah with a few coworkers before some returned home and it was a pleasant experience. We were seated on the back half of the restaurant where the music wasn't too loud and we could hear each other's conversations. I ordered the salmon with veggies and rice. The salmon was a touch sweet to me with the sauce they used. The rice and veg were cooked perfectly to compliment the salmon itself. Drinks were good, service fantastic. We really enjoyed our food. Everything was tasty. The brussels sprouts were the bomb with bacon and crispiness just perfect. The chicken wings were fried a bit expensive but they allowed us to have several kinds of sauces for dipping, which was awesome. The pan seared chicken was delicious perfectly cooked and the vegetables were good as well. Service was good even though they were packed with a crazy amount of people in the bar area. I don't know that I would ever come here for a date. It's insanely noisy like beyond belief and noisy, but everybody seems to be having a good time and enjoying their food and drink so I would definitely come back and I will come back this week. read more

Popped in for a late night dinner. From the front door you can't tell that this place has a restaurant- it looks like a bar only. The staff were friendly and took the time to explain their specials and best selling dishes. The ambiance gives local vibes, which I loved. When you walk in the front is the bar, it's long and has some high tops along the wall and plenty of seating at the bar. Once you pass the bar, you'll enter the restaurant part. There is plenty of tables and the restaurant can accommodate large parties. Now let's get to the food! We ordered the carnitas tacos and the seared yellowtail and noodles. Both were in the daily specials menu. We also ordered the buffalo cauliflower which was served with blue cheese dressing and a cup of tomato bisque. The food was tasty and fresh. The carnitas were moist and crispy but were bland-- they needed salt, thank goodness for the salt shaker! The yellowtail was delicious . The noodles were a tad over sauced, however they complemented the fish well. The tomato bisque was the best thing. It was so yummy and creamy, and little chunks of tomato. It was served either two crostinis which were lightly buttered and toasted. Overall, this place is good for a quick bite. Enjoy! read more

Fries - they forgot to give us fries, whoops. 2. Chicken strips (Nashville Hot) - received plain chicken strips, which were very dry and stringy. 3. The food is amazing...whether you're grabbing some small bites or a full blown entree, foxys was impressive. Their portion sizes are big and worth the price, especially in midtown Manhattan. Hidden gem! Went in about noon on a Monday for lunch. Very attentive service, menu had wide variety of options. I got the shrimp tacos which were generously stuffed (was only able to eat 2). The 2 appetizers were served on the same tray, which was unexpected, but should have been fine as we were sharing. However, the nachos were quite cold, even the once melted cheese. While the chicken was hot. We all think we would have loved the nachos had they been served hot. The server ended up not charging us the $15 for the nachos. Not a place you notice unless you stumble on it. Staying next door (Hilton Bernic), there isnt a hotel restaurant so they suggested Foxy Johns. Bartender and patrons are professional and friendly. A true hidden gem because this place has a neighborhood bar kinda vibe but food is not supposed to taste as amazing as Foxy John's! I am still waiting for something on their menu to not like. Being a vegetarian (50 years!) and a foodie, I don't often give 4 stars. The tacos, fresh, generous & very nice seasoning (the photo does not look as great as they tasted!) . I love, cilantro so the second time I had them I asked for extra with extra lime. (Vegan friends, they serve the tacos with a small dish of grated cheddar on the side, not in the tacos). They really had a nice jalepeno bite and may be my second favorite vegetarian taco ever (my number one favorite is in Vancouver, British Columbia!) There are plenty of vegetarian tacos with beans, etc. but this is a nice protein switch-up! My husband had the shrimp tacos one night and the chicken franchese another night and loved both! I thought it would taste similar to a dish that you normally get at a local Chinese restaurant, but it had a lot more flavor so I thought it was very good.
