    Corned Beef Hash- delicious

Great place for breakfast. Definitely has that old country feel and makes you feel like a place you've came to for years even for the first timers. Nice country style ambience and very friendly staff. The food was delicious and very simple I loved it. Not far from downtown Bremerton.

An adorable old school diner themed restaurant with nostalgia everywhere. From the music they played to the seating options. The servers were very friendly and sweet. The food came on time and there was a variety to choose from. I got the 3 alarm burger with chipotle ranch and a mint Oreo shake. It was delicious and reasonably priced. I personally would've never stopped by from just the view of outside but after seeing reviews and recommendations from a friend we had to check it out.

    Two pancake breakfast

Took mom out for a nice diner breakfast at the Big Apple Diner. Nice diner environment, clean, friendly staff, pretty decent menu options. I chose two pancake breakfast. It also had eggs, hash browns, and bacon. The hash browns were buttery and crispy shreds and bacon thick sliced and tasty. Scrambled eggs were good. My only complaint was the pancakes. They were good size but tough, needed to be cut with a knife. The batter needs some work. The servings are large and worth the money. Picked up cinnamon roll to go. To much frosting for me but the roll was quality for those who like frosting. Definitely plan to return lots of breakfast items yet to be tried and then lunch choices.......

Some sort of orange desert cake. It was very good. Also had strawberry.

We happened across this little gem while visiting the USS Turner Joy. It's a short drive from there. We had the best waitress and we were seated right away. She was friendly, made suggestions for meals and was right on with water refills and anything we might have needed. Service was excellent. The food came out as ordered and hot. Ordered the prime rib open faced sandwich and it was delicious! Also ordered a prime rib dip and the flavor was amazing. Came with fries that were hot and crispy and so good. Playing 50's hits and cute booths and decor was an added plus. All the employees were very friendly. We tried the peach cobbler milkshake and orange cake and they was very good. We went early and when we left it was starting to fill up. We are visiting from out of town and may go back again for breakfast! I don't think you'll be disappointed.

    Hot Meatloaf

A fun 50's themed restaurant with lots of parking along the side and back. This is next to the Big Apple Market so the lot in front seems to fill up. There was a short wait on a Saturday for lunch. A popular place to eat and kid friendly! I tried the Green River soda, which is more sour and then carbonated. I understand that they make this in house and something to try. For my entree, I chose the hot meatloaf sandwich. It was a cold, rainy day and this seemed like some good comfort food. I really enjoyed the taste, not over powering by any okie seasoning. And was a large plate! Maybe a little more gravy, so order a side if you like. I could not finish it all. The mashed potatoes were creamy with chucks of potato in it.

Based on the food and prices I would rate higher, but this was our first time here and the service was disappointing. We arrived at 12:10 (Saturday) and we could see empty tables, yet we stood in the entry for over 20 minutes until we were acknowledged. Then another 5 minutes before we were seated. Another 8 minutes before asked if we wanted drinks, and another 5 before the drinks came out. It was actually 42 minutes from arriving until we got our lunch. Making it worse, while waiting to be seated a woman with 3 out of control kids was trying to pay and two of them were screeching loudly. That's not the fault of the staff, but harder to take when waiting so long.

Side salad w/o croutons because Keto.

This place used to be filthy but it had a deep cleaning maybe two years ago and it's still clean…read more It's been a big improvement. We dropped in on the spur of the moment at a slow hour but as is often the case service was super slow because there was one person ahead of us. But we were deep in conversation so it didn't annoy us a lot. Once we did get service they were swift to refill coffee cups so we were happy about that and speeding by the time we left. We ordered 3-egg veggie omelettes but they brought omelettes loaded with rubbery square blocks of ham which we dug out to take home to the dogs; two out of three of the dogs thought that was swell, the third seemed to say, "What in heck is this stuff? A cut up super-ball?" These couldn't possibly have been three eggs unless they're buying extra-small eggs during a period of high prices on eggs. These were an egg and a half per omelette, wonderfully paper thin but not big around. Probably would've tasted great if we got what we ordered but what we got instead was kind of a misery. The hashbrowns were pleasant, toast was perfect, and we shared a short stack that was a really good pancake, so we definitely did not go home hungry. We told the waitress we didn't order these omelettes, and she said she wrote it down correctly and she didn't know why the cook got it wrong. She didn't offer to remake them, and we didn't ask 'em too as it took a super long to make the first ones and we were running out of time. We thought we should get a small discount for the little rubber blocks we shoveled to the side, but that wasn't forthcoming. Everyone makes mistakes so it's not a one-star review from me. But it'll be hard to forget and I have a fearful feeling it's the last time we drop in to Jimmy D's if we remember this day every time we drive near it. It's been there so long, though, it feels like it's historic. Though I do still miss when it was the Golden Ox; there was a cook named Aris who was a great cook and a great gent.

Service was amazing hostess was super helpful on making recommendation off their Indian menu. I will say the place is super cute give a great hometown diner like someplace my grandpa would take when I went to visit over the summer. They did get top ten 2023 best steak on Guru.. If you like pull tabs they have them.. We ordered the garlic naan, chicken biryani, chicken tikka masala and samosa spice level medium. We did do a to go order so we could watch Netflix and eat our dinner. I will say the American dishes coming out of the window looked great especially the patty melt. The portions are really small for the price 17 bucks for the chicken tikka and only like a cup of rice. The samosa are 2 for 6 bucks the yogurt sauce is amazing. The flavor of the food is really great. But it's rather expensive for what we got quantity versus price.. if you like spicy I'd definitely order spicy. Not medium
