If I could leave zero stars I would! I got a simple kids meal knowing I wouldn't eat very much and honestly it makes me feel bad for any kid whose parent has ordered this for them. The eggs were covered in pepper it was almost unbearable, grits tasted like gravy, and they have no grape jelly for toast which makes a "breakfast place" almost seem unfit to call itself a "breakfast place". Another member in my party asked for eggs over hard and it was anything but hard. Asked for them to comp the eggs since we didn't have time for them to recook it and they decided to just rush the eggs. In all reality this place could be good if they would stick to the basics but right now it is a very pathetic attempt at cooking breakfast food. Water was good tho! read more

First time here. We relied on GPS to get here and it still took 3 drive by's to locate BBB! The large sign says Stricklin Hotel but look closely and you'll spot the BBB signs! I had the Crumble. The tomato gravy was great ! My hubby is more of a farm style breakfast guy so he was not as impressed as I. Great interior, good service -- we arrived around 11:30 on a Wed and didn't have to wait. This was a Florence downtown spot we had to try due to the reviews. Nice environment, Good food, nice staff...if you go for breakfast on the weekend go early. Nice variety on the menu. The juice for breakfast is in breakfast size glasses they call a large for 3.5 dollars for cranberry or apple and 5 dollars for orange juice. read more

Although the food is mostly good, it's pretty expensive. The tomato gravy is very tasty, and paired the cathead and the chicken its savory and delicious. The orange juice is great, but it's $5 a cup. Yes a 6ish ounce cup. There are a couple of other menu items that stand out, but don't joke yourself. You came here for breakfast so get the biscuit and chicken with some bacon and tomato gravy on the side. I've got a lot of mixed feelings about breakfast joints, this particular expensive flashy menu versus taste, and charging $5 per cup of orange juice, but at the end of the day it's nicer than a Cracker Barrel and a little cheaper than "another broken egg". read more

The food itself is good. Not special or amazing, just good breakfast (ok maybe the bacon was especially good, ha!) Our service was very slow - party of 2 sitting at the bar, 1:00pm on a Sunday. I am not exaggerating, our food took 20 minutes. For bacon, eggs, biscuits and grits! When the food finally arrived my over-medium eggs were decidedly runny. I almost cried. Hangry had kicked in. Sent the eggs back, and had eaten half my breakfast by the time the new eggs arrived. Also runny. Gave up and kept eating. I know this place is hot and new, but the kitchen needs to work out some kinks. If the whole concept is built around paying just as much attention to breakfast as the food world pays to lunch and dinner...guys! Breakfast is a fast meal. I stopped in for brunch at 1 pm on a Friday and the place was busy but I was greeted quickly. I was grabbing lunch alone so I choose to sit at the bar. Service was great during my entire visit. I had the veggie omelet and added sausage with a home made biscuit and red potatoes. Everything was absolutely delicious. The omelet was the best I've ever had by far. This place is way over rated. Average all around. Nothing exceptional; nothing terrible; not worth what you have to pay. Service the times I have been there is just "meh." I don't get why there's always a wait to get a table for such average fair. My daughter likes to eat there or I would avoid the place altogether. Waiting for an hour or so for scrambled eggs, bacon, and pancakes just doesn't seem like a good use of my time. For some reason, this place has everyone believing that it's an iconic downtown Florence tradition that must be experienced. It's not. It's just average. I am pretty sure this is the best breakfast I have had in a very long time!!! For starters the biscuits are amazing!! The spicy bacon has a little kick but keeps you coming back for more! If gravy is your thing, try the tomato gravy!! Delicious!! My husband had the big bad breakfast plate and it did not disappoint....breakfast potatoes, bacon, eggs, and a side of pancakes. My daughter had the redneck Benny. Open biscuit covered with country ham and gravy with a side of pancakes and bacon. So much food and oh so good! I really enjoyed my breakfast here. The atmosphere is really fun and chill. I went for my friend's birthday and we had a good time listening to the fun music. Our server was funny and pretty fast. I took my granddaughter there about a year or so ago. I've been afraid to go back. The day I was there, it took about 30 to 40 minutes to get our breakfast, & when we did, the food was COLD. Waitress didn't bother to check w/ us to refill coffee or water. And I paid a "pricey" price for it all. Maybe things are better now? I would hope so! read more

Oh my, wish I had taken a picture of my amazing picture before I had inhaled it. I had the creole omelet and the seasoning was amazing, shrimp in every bite. The tossed greens were fresh and the marinated sliced tomatoes on the side were amazing considering it is still winter. My DH had the Belgian waffle that looked to be cooked perfectly. Had the most amazing exp ever with breakfast. We called ahead for waiting list and when we arrived we were seated in about 5-10 mins. Our waiter and our food was so good, the overall service was excellent . I had the french toast, "hashbrowns" and country ham.
