The brisket and pork were both beyond tender and melted in your mouth, the steeet corn had the perfect amount of rub and was sweet and juicy, the fries dipped in the jalapeño ranch and that soft corn bread !! For my two sides, I went with the baked beans and broccoli w/ garlic and olive oil. My girlfriend got the "pulled pork" oyster mushrooms with cajun fries. The food smelled so insanely good in the car. I will say that although the brisket was good, the flat was a bit dry and there wasn't much of a smoke ring/smoky flavor to it. The point was really tender and juicy though. My baked beans were the star of the show...they were insanely good, containing massive chunks of tender pork which was a welcomed surprise. The broccoli was prepared nicely as well. I had a few cajun fries and they were crispy and had a nice flavor profile. My girlfriend did not like the oyster mushrooms, however I thought they tasted decent and would work well as a vegan/vegetarian option. I had a 1/2 lb of brisket and it came with two sides . I opted for the Mac and cheese and baked beans. The baked beans were just Campbell's out of the can . Not one piece of meat in it from the cutting board , no extra spices to liven it up . Very saddened by that . We found a hair in it toward the end of our meal . The Mac and cheese was ok , basically just Mac and cheese, also would have liked something a bit more exciting , maybe some pork belly or some pulled pork or even some heat , just something different. So , the brisket ... The brisket was tender , pulled apart very easily. Smoke ring was there , perhaps a hickory was used , had a nice smoky taste without being overbearing. There was a yellowish sauce on it , Which was flavorful and provided a bit of heat without taking away from the star of the show , the meat . Definitely not your standard ketchup based sauce. The cornbread soaked up the excess quite nicely ! I would have like to see a better portion of the meat , but I understand the time it takes to make . I did not see a smoker or smell smoke pulling up . And was quite surprised by that . I would like to go back and get just a meat sampler , they had an unusual sauce on the brisket , and would love to see what sauces they are on the other meats ... maybe an Alabama whiter or a interesting mustard sauce , but because of the hair my wife will never eat there again , which means I will never know . read more

These people know how to do it! It was only my first time so we only tried the brisket burrito, pulled pork quesadilla and ultimate BBQ burger. All were delicious! Very generously meaty, not over sauced or spiced...just really good high quality stuff. I think the burrito was our favorite but everything was excellent. In addition we tried the cornbread (standout - super moist and delicious), the mac and cheese (hearty, delicious with a kick, and just the right cheesiness), cole slaw (fresh, unique delicious) and fries (good). I can't wait to go back to try the ribs and the brisket platter! Also, it should be noted how hardworking and pleasant everyone is. This place is a hidden gem. My brother and I ordered from here last night, he had the rib plate and I had the pulled pork plate. He loved the ribs, they were fall of the bone and had a real smoky flavor to them. My pulled pork was done perfect, not dry and overdone with BBQ sauce like most places here on Long Island make them. We split and order of wings which were meaty and tasty in their own right. This place has become one our regular spots for takeout. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is absolutely delicious! My husband loves the brisket and ribs and every side he's tried so far.
