Terrible service. Only three dinners ordered. Got a text pickup would be ready at 6:30 to 6:36. As I was standing at the counter to pick it up, I got a text saying it was delayed pickup to 6:50-6:55. Unfortunately when we got order home we were missing one of the dinners. I called got manager "hee hee it's here on counter, we forgot to pack it". I asked her to just credit it since we didn't want go back. They couldn't do that I could get store credit which I definitely do not want. Went here sunday at 3:15pm with a party of 9. We celebrated my moms birthday. The food was pretty good. I haven't been here in years. The manager Haley was our server and cook too apparently. She was really nice and caring I had the spicy chicken sandwich. It wasn't spicy or hot at all! My side salad had wayyy too much dressing in it that I couldn't really enjoy it. The loaded waffle fries app is really good. My sister loved her fish and chips. Wish we seen the featured fried pickles before we left. It wasn't on the menu but on the table stand. Very frustrated with the customer service, I had a carry out on 12/16, when I got home realized that I had been shorted 2 desserts that I had paid for, I called and talked to a employee named Lacy, explained that I didn't want to go back out, and she told me she would take my name and let the manager know that I would be I on Wednesday to get them, when I came in I was given a hard time, and they refused to give them to me because even though I was assured by a employee that it wouldn't be a issue. Apparently i should have insisted on talking with manager,I a will not be back to this location which is sad because I really liked this restaurant but if this is the level of customer service you get when they make an error its not worth giving them my money..smh read more

I have been eating at this location for over 25 years, and have never gotten a bad meal or bad service. The servers treat you like family when you're there, and the amount of hard work they do is easy to see for anyone who walks in. I recommend this restaurant to anyone! read more

I live in Missouri and haven't been to a big boy restaurant in a long time. I ordered a Rueben sandwich. It was made with sauerkraut and they served some thousand islands dressing on the side. First time to come here. Breakfast buffet at $15.99 per person is not worth spending especially if you come 2 hours before buffet closes. Food isnt fresh anymore.. The server Cheyanne looks like she didnt want to be there. When I tried to order dessert for my daughter and had asked if we had an option to choose what side of ice cream for the apple pie, she had that annoyed look on her face that I will mever forget.. Even the tone in her voice is condescending. Again, first time to eat at BigBoy so I thought we pay the server.. My daughter and I stood up, went to her and indicated we were ready to pay.. She pointed at the cashier (who I thought was just for take out payments) with her finger and flatly said: RIGHT THERE (and caught her rolling her eyes). Im an excellent tipper because Im a server too and I love what I do.. I regret ever leaving her a tip. I left her only $5 of a $42.89 bill.. New and improved Big Boy! The inside of this location is very up-to-date and clean. I guess this place had a fire a year or so back, so it has been renovated and looks a lot nicer than other Big Boys. Went in initially for breakfast, but ended up getting lunch instead because the menus "pop" now with great pictures that swayed our decision to get a burger instead of the breakfast bar. The Big Boy burger I had was really good, the fries could have went in the fryer for a little bit longer though. Service was super quick and our server Rhonda was really friendly. She got us everything we needed and even jumped into action and got me a replacement fork and knife (I dropped mine of course). read more

Went to Big Boy today and the food was good. When we got ready to pay the bill it was $47. We paid the bill and left a & 2.00 tip because she came over 2 times. When we got home and looked at the bill SAMANTHA the waitress gave herself a 67.00 tip. We went back there and spoke to the manager ( Opie Cunningham) said it must be something wrong with the machine. We will return the money to your account in 3-5 business days. This is one of the best big boys we constantly come here for breakfast the southern omelet is the best thing with the sausage gravy on top always hits the spot. Of course the burgers for dinner are always amazing and huge! The staff is always super friendly and nice and the establishment is always clean. Took our kids up there for the very first time. Wasn't expecting anything fancy but the boys just wanted the kids fruity pebble pancakes with vanilla ice cream icing on it. We put in our order 15min later they come back saying they don't have most of the stuff my gf had to pick something else. They said they had no more fruity pebbles so the boys chose strawberry and cookies and cream. They bring the food out and it's just plain pancakes with 4 strawberries or top and a couple crumbles Oreos on top. Not put inside at all no whip cream no vanilla icing etc. so we asked what's up with this and the server says they are out of whip cream and icing. I cooked for 10 years how lazy not to cut up strawberries or cookie crumbles and not put it in the pancakes. Was excited to take my boys out and I regret it 100% we will never be back there. And it was the manager that cooked it all. They need new owners asap. That was embarrassing to even go there. Oh and they charged extra for the strawberries and cookies even though it was their fault they didn't have fruity pebbles. Wow we all went yesterday for my mums birthday and had very great service! I forget the waitresses name but she was right on us whenever we needed anything. Orders came out all together and exactly accurate and hot! Yes the prices were pretty high still but we all had enough food to even share when the kids wanted to try the adults entrees. The only thing I found weird was how small the soup and salad bar became. I was going to just get that instead of a full meal but my brother pointed out how small it was now. We had lunch with a friend today at the Big Boy Restaurant in Warren. I got the Meat Lover's Omelette with a side of hotcakes and hash brown. The omelette was delicious and was packed with meat. Inside the omelet was ham and sausage, with bacon pieces sprinkled on the top. I got lots of meat with each bite, which I absolutely loved as a meat lover. The hash brown was nicely cooked and crisped up, although the flavor was a little neutral. However, I actually prefer it that way, so that people who are watching their sodium intake can have more control over how much salt they wanna put on the hash brown themselves. Furthermore, I opted for hotcakes instead of regular toasts, and it turned out to be a really good decision. Their hotcakes were fluffy and delicious. It also came with maple syrup, which I just generously poured all over my hotcakes; and it was delicious. For this complete breakfast platter to still be below $10 nowadays, it was a steal. The service was nice and quick, and the wait staff was attentive. I am definitely giving this place a five star review and would definitely go back to try their other stuff. read more

Ordered a small carry out the other day. A double Big Boy, a piece of Strawberry Pie and a Hot Fudge Ice Cream Cake with Strawberry Ice Cream... my hubby was given a bag with his 2 pieces of pie & the cake. He walked immediately back in and told them they gave him the wrong items. They took a piece of pie back and gave him the burger in the same bag with one slice of pice and ice cream cake. Common sense would tell you - hot off the grill should NOT go with frozen and cold case items... He brought home the items... the hot fudge cake had an itty bitty piece of vanilla ice cream - not strawberry - and not even enough to consider it a baby scoop of ice cream at most ice cream places. The pie literally had 3 berries in it, was smashed to bits and the only crust was the back piece which since they had put this in with a hot burger, the pie had melted all over the container... the burger I guess was ok? He never finished it but said he won't be going back. It was a HUGE waste of money! We don't usually go to Big Boy but it is "strawberry season" there and we wanted a treat. What a joke and HUGE waste of money and disappointment! Won't be going back to this location for sure - if any at all! read more

My husband got the chicken fried steak and it was very tender. I ordered the strawberry blue cheese wrap (seasonal) and the flavors were good but nothing spectacular. If there was more blue cheese and fresh cut strawberries I feel it would have really stepped it up a notch. My son got the egg and toast plate that comes with bacon. It was a very generous portion. Ordered a breakfast carry-out. I ordered the eggs over medium and bacon well done. The eggs were basically hardboiled. The yolk was so over heard that I literally Punched it and and when the egg cracked, the whole inside was the same color of yellow and texture of a hardboiled egg. The bacon was still oinking. I had to put it on for an additional minute to even get it slightly crispy. Apparently, breakfast 101 class did not cover eggs or bacon. A child could do better. I also did not receive any jelly with the order. I certainly couldn't dip my toast in a hardboiled egg yolk (dipping that was my backup plan to the no jelly and that was foiled by dumb cooks). No one enjoys eating plain toast. read more

This used to be my absolute favorite Big Boy restaurant in Southeast Michigan. Until today. Went for lunch with my partner, he got served immediately. When he only had two more bites of his meal to go, the waitress finally came to the table to tell me mine would be a few more minutes. I told her since my partner was almost finished, just pack mine to go. He finished his meal and we waited about seven more minutes and the waitress said the cook burned my meal and had to start over. I then told her to take it off the bill because we had to be somewhere so I ended up going without any meal whatsoever. This is not the waitresses fault, but I have been in Customer Service over 37 years. When a meal is having issues, the MANAGER is usually the one who always comes to the table, tells you of the mishap, and tries to compensate you in some way. My husband ordered spaghetti and as he was eating he noticed it was more sauce than noddles and so we asked if he could get a few more spaghetti noddles they said yes but for 2.00 additional dollars. it was not that the 2.00 was an issue but it was the principle and the manager said that once the customer is eating the food they cannot modify it. LOL what a shame. So, then I pointed out that my huspuppies were hard as a brick cause I'm petty like that. Anyway poor customer service.
