This is such a great company. We've been using them since 1993 when they were in Seagoville. Now they are located in Forney. Mike was our service tech. They were prompt with service, coming the afternoon of the day I called. Needed help with both dish washer-not filling with water & washing machine that seemed to be out of balance. Found that dish washer needs to be used more often (we hand wash!). He checked it thoroughly & ran it through a complete cycle while checking on the washing machine. The out of balance issue was due to felt "feet" that our flooring contractor installed to protect the new floors. Can't believe they made such a difference in the operation of the machine. He was here about an hour & only charged the trip charge. I feel certain another service company would have found something to replace! read more

I have had great service in the past, with Mike. He is no longer with the company. But tried anyway. The tech that came did ok with washing machine. Before he left I posed about my fridge. I needed advice as to a cold resistant glue to re-glue the drawer glide in place. Because the bottom drawer glide was broken off so cant hold drawers away from floor of fridge. So, no air under produce drawer, so produce freezing. . He did not think the part I held went there, so I demonstrated by removing the drawers and holding the slide in between them on my counter. this demo just went flat. .He did not understand, simply thought I had I had it too cold. I showed him my settings. Not a good outcome there. oh well. read more

BEWARE! I was referred to this company to fix my oven from our home warranty company. The technician came out to diagnose the issue, and take my $45 payment. He said he would order the part, and call me to schedule an install when it came it. That was almost 4 weeks ago! He will not respond to several messages I have left or when I was able to get him on the phone he said he would call me when he got back in his office to give me an update, which he didn't. I just want my oven fixed! read more

Wade came to repair our washer and when he finished he kept kicking the machine to get front back on and then finally lifted it by putting something under then putting part on and it went on very easily. He just didn't know what he was doing and we asked him if he went to school and he said no. When I called the owner Marty he defended the tech and also said they go to school what a liar. Should have kicked him out of our home! Just like other review says, call a professional appliance repair company. UPDATE: Well it's 34 days later and we're having the same problem we called them to repaire the first time, which I paid $136.28 that 2 other companies both quoted me an even $85.00 to repair. So not only is this character overpricing the customers, but they're not repairing the machines properly. I called them and told them either they repair what they've already been paid to repair or we will file a complaint with the BBB. Since they already have 3 complaints on them, which I told him on recorder, he decided to call back. We will update to let consumers know the outcome. Though either way as consumers, we shouldn't have to be treated this way, and we won't tolerate it. Marty the owner was very rude as well. Wade was back on Thursday 1/24/13 to redo his previous repair which he did not do properly a month ago. By the way this is the first time in 10 years I've had to have repairs made on this washer. I certainly hope I do not have this problem again, and just in case I do I wil update, because I think we all need to know who not to call for repairs. read more

We were referred to Big D Appliances through our home warranty. They were wonderful to work with! Marty, the gentleman who I spoke to on the phone, worked me in the same day to help get our subzero refrigerator repaired ASAP. The tech he sent me was courteous, punctual and did a very thorough job fixing the problem. They were by far the BEST company that HWA has sent me thus far. I will definitely use them in the future, and I highly recommend them to anyone in the area. I even already referred them to my neighbor. Way to go, Big D! read more

We were assigned Big D from our home warranty company to repair our washer and dryer. I left 2 messages on Tuesday morning that were not returned. I called a 3rd time and spoke with someone and they could not come out until Thursday afternoon. I told him that the error code on my washer was for the drain pump and the make of the washer. I called back on Wednesday to include my dryer and gave the make and that the heating element was not working. I was never told that they would not be repairing either appliance on Thursday when they came out. The technician that came out said he would email the warranty company and someone would get back to us about ordering the parts and scheduling the repair. He became very defensive and rude when my husband asked why their procedure was different than the other companies we had used. He refused to answer and walked out telling us to call the office. I called and left a message. When my call was returned they stated that they were refusing to repair our machines because my husband made the tech uncomfortable. My husband simply asked why it sounded like it would be weeks before the repair was made and that we had never had that problem before. I have filed a complaint with our warranty company and will be spreading the word not to use this very unprofessional company. read more

Don't waste your time scheduling a service call with this company. They seemed unorganized from my initial call in. Then after multiple efforts to get a service call scheduled for an ice maker repair, they were a NO-SHOW for the appt. Not only did they no-show but when I called in to see where the tech was, they told me they never even wrote down the scheduled appt! They wasted a 1/2 day PTO I had to take from work too! Do yourself a favor and find another appliance service company! read more
