Excellent brunch spot! Everything we ordered was fantastic. We split the country fried steak and California omelette. The best thing at the table (not pictured) was the chicken pesto omelette. It was so, so good! We sat outside on the patio, which was nice. I love how each table had a full assortment of condiments (ketchup, jam, Sriracha, Tapatio, Cholula, etc). Come early because the place is small and there will be a wait time. The restaurant is located in the middle of an old boatyard. They have indoor and outdoor seating and we sat at the bar. I had eggs and hash browns; while, my boyfriend had french toast, hash browns, and Big Ross Omelet. The portions are huge. The food was delicious and the customer service was good as well. Came here to see if "Rizzit H" was going to leave a review... and I wasn't disappointed! Absolutely an unfair review.... While that might be her experience, the entire story isn't being told... I'm a customer, the one sitting at a nearby table who got the food before you... we ordered off the menu, with no changes.... She failed to mention the "special orders".... I want three eggs, I only want one egg, I want this instead of that.... And obviously it was a rough day for the young ones, please don't take that out on the staff.... And the pastor who was going to refuse to pay... thank you for not playing that game.... I actually stuck around to ask what church he belonged to if he was going to play that game.... sadly, his behavior and loud voice let me to believe his is a religion of convenience, because understanding and empathy definitely isn't part of his understanding... So i found this place on yelp. I came a few times but the line was out the door so we left twice. When the time change we decided to come at 8am. We were lucky to find a table. It's really small inside and they have a covered patio where there's tables with chairs. Everyone who works here is very helpful and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised with how reasonable the price was . The food was really good. It's a little small and tight but I see why a lot of people come here. Had breakfast here for the first time today excited to try after seeing so many recommendations on Facebook. I really wanted to like this place but both my husband and I were sadly disappointed. We both had omelets that were dry (all the life cooked right out of them, no fluff at all) and the country potatoes had no flavor, there were little bits of onion and bell pepper but lacked seasoning, just plain bland. We did get a pancake which was tasty, so not a total loss. Would not recommend the ice tea; maybe it's the water and I should have known better but it was so bad I couldn't drink more than a couple of sips. Cool little place off the beaten path, which we like and the staff was super friendly and service was quick. I think I will give it a second try but my husband won't. It's on a port with a lot of bumps and rough roads and my car got really messed up from it and it's running differently now because it's not used to anything like that. I'm glad that I only live a few miles away from Ross's because this place has left a good impression on me. What really stood out was the quality and the freshness of the food For example: the waffle with strawberries did not need any syrup or butter; with some whipped cream, which they give you the whole can of, and the sweetness of the strawberry was all you needed for an awesome bite. Note: each fruit topping is an additional $1.50. I've had my fair share of omelets in my life and when you taste an omelet that is made with good eggs, it catches you by surprise. You also can't beat the view; I wish I would have came on a day that was not windy because they have outdoor seating. It's nice looking out and not be surrounded by other buildings but that could just be my claustrophobia talking. read more

This is half of the chorizo breakfast burrito. Portions are very generous. However the food has no seasoning as is bland, no flavor whatsoever. The wait time for 3 adults was about 30mins on a Sunday morning. It's not great but it's not bad either. My wife ordered the California omelette and the "Mickey mouse" pancakes for our 4yo son. Now please believe I'm your typical indecisive Libra, which means that once I find something that feeds my fancy, I'm staying hooked. At this point, when I walk in, Gaby or Jasmine (hope I'm spelling their names right!) issue their usual warm welcome and ask if I want the "Gaby Special": my preferred plate featuring a California omelette without ham (well done... AND they actually know how to do well done perfectly!), their perfect crispy hashbrowns and the necessary dose of Cholula. (They also ask if I want my English muffin with strawberry jelly this time or not... Again, I'm indecisive.) Big Daddy's is a local favorite and a beautiful demonstration of a family-oriented, wholesome breakfast spot with amazing staff on deck. Really good atmosphere, cool location, great service. Regrettably I noticed one of the chefs preparing food not adhering to standard safe food practices... I saw a lot of face touching, eating and then wiping his hands on his apron, and handling food without washing hands once. Of course, it could've been his own meal, in which case no real issue, but he was in the kitchen where food is being prepared primarily for customers. Overall, great food, great prices, great service, and nice atmosphere. I would eat there again, just remind your kitchen staff we can see them from the dining room. read more

This little establishment is quaint and seems to be a very popular breakfast spot for the locals. The food was delicious and the staff was super friendly. Big Daddy Ross's is hands down our favorite breakfast place, bar none, in the East Bay. We have eaten our way thru the menu and truly have eaten every single dish with great gusto and delight! I'm a huge fan of the waffle , just plain with eggs and sausage on the side, or biscuits and gravy or a short shack or ... you name it I'm happy with it! The staff is great and sitting at the counter (in pre-pandemic times) watching a game on Sunday morning with a steamy cuppa and my partner on the next stool is a blissful way to start a day. Been going there since it was a small space and not very known as im a local and as its been growing and expanding over the years gone by just from growth in the place and customers just even shows how good it is to bring family or friends for breakfast etc. lots of people go after church and I will say on Sundays it's for sure busy but hey you gotta beat the time before everyone gets out lol but its a really good spot and its well hidden but very popular now. The twin brothers that own it are very nice and lovely. As time goes on you'll see there hard workers and they've come a long way for sure! I love coming to this Cafe because of its location. It's a beautiful scenery of the delta and secluded from the busy city. The food tasted absolutely delicious too! The only problem I had was that the waitress did not really check in on us & I had to approach them for a box & the check. Aside from that, the food came pretty quickly & they were really kind! Wonderful service and great food!! I'm so happy to have found this place. Great place to have breakfast. My husband got french toast, eggs and country potatoes and said it's the best french toast he's had. I'm not a huge breakfast person so I had grilled cheese with avocado and tomato with a side of fries. It was very good too. We had our small dog with us so we sat outside. I wanted something different for breakfast.. it the usual pancake breakfast from IHOP OR DENNYS I wanted something home made. I was on Door Dash and noticed this place. I had seen the name of this place before and never gave it a chance. About one month ago I ordered some breakfast.chorizo burrito for my husband, waffles (with berries and bananas for the kids) and for me a Denver omelette for myself. When we received our delivery it was still hot. My family and I ended up sharing our food because everything was THAT GOOD! my son (who barely eats anything) is in love with their chorizo burrito now. For the past 4 Sundays my kids come to me in the morning and beg for "the big/good waffle" like they call it. I can never say no Thank you for being an amazing restaurant with great quality food.
